Hi all, hope you are enjoying the weekend. I was at a friends last night and I'm still hungover, dh is off to pick up a Chinese. It will either cure or kill me! We are off to the ideal home show tomorrow- excited!

My af arrived again, you would think I'm used to it now after 2 years, boo!

wigglesrock · 27/05/2013 20:22

ledkr hope you're relaxing now, read your thread re pils and weekend. They are a feckin' disgrace. As you said on the thread - saving grace is you never have to do it again, but I'd be so Angry

grannyapple hope you are getting on well x

Nothing much to report here, girls back to school tomorrow. Five weeks or a bit less until they finish for the summer Grin Am actually looking forward to having them off Shock

blizy liked your fb photos Smile. DH didn't look that enamored with it Wink

Hi all,

ledkr just posted on your thread, agree with wiggles though really, what a bloody joke. Hope you're having a relax and miss Dilly lets you get some kip tonight.

blizy stupid AF Angry However I am loving the fb piccies, hope you've had a great time.

We are fine, I don't want to speak too soon but A seems to have got the hang of this potty training malarkey Shock no nappies and no accidents today, even at our friends house. However, she hasn't pooed in the potty yet...

I have a funny story from my friends house, my lovely pal is nearly 30wks pg, she was saying that she's read the Gina Ford book and how GF says to get baby up every morning at 7am, and it has to be 7am or the routine won't work. My friend said 'I'm getting the baby up at 8! I'm not getting up at 7 every day!' Grin Grin WIBU to say nothing, I don't think so Wink My moaning about A getting up at 5.30am for months didn't sink in with her obv.

Grannyapple · 27/05/2013 21:25

Evening folks!
ledkr just read your thread...absolute feckin joke...I'd have left after one night, even more so after them not going to see wee Ella in the talent show...feckers (as wiggs would say Grin).

blizy fab pics...I had to laugh at the Greg Wallace wife comment Grin

ponyo too funny about your friend...sure shell realise soon enough re early wakings Grin. I feel your pain actually...N has been great recently, esp as we moved him into his 'junior bed' last week & have had no issues whatsoever. MIL is currently down so we put his bed in our room....cue 5.30am, 5am & 4 feckin 10am wakings!!!! Think she's finally realised that we won't have space when we have 2...esp as DH can sometimes have fits if fatigued... But I consider myself well lucky compared to ledkr & her PILs..she might annoy me by talking too much (& still talking when clearly no one is listening...& then following you to tell you a story about someone you've never met Grin). But she really is lovely & dotes on N..

wiggs all good here...32 wks now. Placenta is a bit low so I've to go back for a scan at 26wks to check again, in which case it'll be a c section....bit worried about recovery if that's the case re:recovery, with a toddler in tow now, but will deal with that if it happens.. Your stories if your girls & the communion had me in stitches...not long now til the dinner hols are upon you Grin

Off to bed now as last night with MIL here so need to the shut eye in early in case monkey boy wakes early again & we've got work tomorrow..

Ledkr · 27/05/2013 21:29

Thanks ladies I hid the thread so didn't see your replies sorry. It's the usual mn crap of LTB. I drew the line at being told dh is an abusive enabler who will damage my children psychologically Grin some people are such tits I think you can't ask for opinions Anymore without a total over reaction.
Hope you are all ok.
We are relaxing with a curry. Dh went to get it.
He's very abusive you know. I may need to call women's aid.

Grannyapple · 27/05/2013 21:29

Feck...26 wks should say 36 wks...don't want this pregnancy dragging on anymore than it already has Grin

Grannyapple · 27/05/2013 21:30

Ah ffs...dinner hols=summer hols obv..

Grannyapple · 27/05/2013 21:31

Heh heh ledkr...yeah some extreme views in that thread...good responses from you tho..

ILovePonyo · 27/05/2013 21:46

Grin at granny and dinner hols. Wow not long now, exciting! Ugh to the early wakings, I'm lucky that A has now started sleeping in from 6am to 7.30 this morning, I used to feel like crying at the 5ams!

I feel lucky our pil stay in a hotel when they visit, they have their flaws but nothing like led. Agree your responses were good and measured, there was a lot of projecting on that thread. However if you want any advice from womens aid point of view I'm here ledkr Wink Grin

Ledkr · 27/05/2013 21:46

All the amateur psychs out tonight. It's bloody ridiculous.
I knew what you meant and weren't 36 wks Grin

Ledkr · 27/05/2013 21:49

Ill let you know ponyo I just don't get how a man too gentle and kind to stand up to his parents (who btw aren't beating me up) can be branded as so many different things.
I know ill end my marriage and devastate my children because my pil are idiots.

ILovePonyo · 27/05/2013 22:02

LTB does seem to be automatic mn response doesn't it? Bit weird, its hardly ever that simple, I find it annoying because in most situations you can't just pack up and go.

Anyway if you hadn't of mentioned how good your dh is (which he is from what you've said on this thread!) people would have been demanding to know what kind of a father and husband he is, you're damned if you do and damned if you don't. Hope you have less to do with pil now!

granny I didn't know what you meant and got confused Grin

wigglesrock · 27/05/2013 22:12

grannyapple I got what you meant Smile. To be fair my whole life is a holiday from dinners Wink

ledkr I didn't bother reading the later posters on the thread after a bit. I found myself muttering "oh do fuck off", am sure your responses would be a lot more measured Smile

Did you watch the Fall? Dont worry reastie am not giving anything away! But it was creepy as fuck. The writing was brilliant tonight I thought. Mr W is micro watching it all [eyeroll]

OP posts:
MizK · 27/05/2013 22:15

led read the thread, agree your PILs were out of order. May be going against the tide, but my PILs can be similar and I just have decided to accept them and note down the twattish things they do to regale my friends with over wine. Not making light of how shit they made you feel, but they are clearly incredibly clueless, and have no inkling that they're being dicks. Never get the impression that they dislike you or are out to upset you, more that they are crashingly insensitive and self centred. Hope you're OK lady. (And glad you told the hand-wringing meddlers to do one)

ponyo Clever A and her potty! That's so good, imagine no more nappies (fingers crossed)

granny wow you are so far along, hope you're feeling OK and hope scan goes OK x

Big waves etc to everyone else, on my phone so can't scroll much x

Ledkr · 27/05/2013 22:18

Aw l

Ledkr · 27/05/2013 22:22

Ahem. As I was saying.
Nice to be back in the bosom of the feb thread with rational ladies.
My dh is a gem and a half. If all he ever does is be too nice to his parents then whom am I to complain?
It seems more nutty on here these days.
I'd have trouble telling my parents straight I think. Show me a person who wouldn't Grin
D is right off the potty. In fact she goes mental if you try to leave her "bappy" off these days but does have a wee on the toilet between changes.such a strange girl.

ILovePonyo · 27/05/2013 22:39

Grin at bappy and yes, I would find it really hard to tell my mum about herself so I know what you mean. I know you didn't ask but ledkr YANBU Grin

blizy · 27/05/2013 23:39

Ledkr, wow you got some bloody mental replies on the thread, you handled it well. Like wiggs I would have told them feck the feck off! Your Dh does sound like a keeper, looks like he is the only thing your pils got right!

Granny, 32 weeks! When are you starting mat leave?

Ponyo, well done anya with the potty, clever girl!

Reastie, last night I dreamt that you came to visit me. I was so embarrassed because my house was a mess, for some reason there was streamers and confetti all over the place.

I'm off to catch some Z's busy day with work tomorrow .

Reastie · 28/05/2013 06:39

I have a theory re: all the LTB comments - it's because they want all the nice men back on the market to have to themselves Grin

ledkr haven't seen your thread but will go and take a peek

ponyo your friend really doesn't know what she's in for does she Wink

granny good to 'see' you. I have your window men coming next week to replace all our windows. Now, I have a lovely creamish carpet in the sitting room, do I need to cover it or will they be careful and put their own bits down ?

blizy Grin to your dream. Maybe the streamers and confetti was in celebration of my visit! Btw did I miss one of your posts but how the blinking 'eck did you end out seemingly having lunch with Greg Wallace dish the dirt on him

Good news of the day is I've officially now lost 5 1/2 stone......but yet still can't fit properly into alot of my pre preg cothes . It seems to be my huge tummy causing all the problems

Reastie · 28/05/2013 07:25

Oh, and in other news we've got Alice a gro clock - she kept waking up at 2am thinking it was morning time . Fingers crossed it works.

Grannyapple · 28/05/2013 08:29

Ooh reastie how exciting re windows. They were good when they came round...used a dust sheet for clambering up & down our stairs with the windows. Eh, good luck with the cream carpet....mine is in dire need if a deep clean or replacement, but I'm in 2 minds whether to clean it all, with no 2 in the way Hmm

blizy hoping to finish at 38 wks, so only 5 wks of work left as of Friday .. & I'm going back down to 3 days/wk in June Smile. But scary how quickly it will all com round...I popped into sainsburys today on way to work & picked up some mat pads & granny pants...now reality is setting in & in beginning to realise what I've let myself in for Hmm.

wiggs Grin to your life being a break from dinners!

mizk yeah feeling fine, thanks...just the tiredness kicking in now...

ponyo yup defo felt like crying sat & sun thru lack of sleep...now have a feckin cold sore.....grr!

Right 3 day wk for me this week, so best get on...catch up later x

Grannyapple · 28/05/2013 08:32

Forgot to say well done & wow to reastie in the 5 & 1/2 stone loss.....v impressive indeed!!

I did Grin at blizy's dream about you visiting..

blizy · 28/05/2013 13:25

Reastie, we werebatbhis restaurant at the home show and he sat down with us whilst we were eating , was a surreal!

Granny, ahhh the good old granny pants! I still wear mine at night when I have my af, sorry tmi

I have ne baby mindee today, he is snoring away just now, we were at toddlers this morning they had messy play and baby sensory today as it's the last one until August. Right I'm off for a coffee before he wakes.

wigglesrock · 28/05/2013 13:36

Grannyapple I'm going to be serious for a minute Wink. Honestly are you sure it's a coldsore? I thought I had coldsores with Anna, went to the pharmacist who took it really seriously. Told me it wasn't coldsores but to get my iron levels checked. Turned that there had been a little error Hmm in my previous iron tests and basically I didn't have any left Shock

Cue much guzzling of minging iron supplement!

blizy much impressed by your brush with fame, even I knew who he was Grin
