Oh think curled under toes are perfectly normal, think it's a gripping instinct - goes back to when we were monkeys :) Has he got a curly tail too? Wink

LOL at Rodeo :o :o Ha Ha!!!!!
Oh what a funny post, you make me laugh ...

Bear - Nice to read your post. I've set up virtual office support, in a nutshell, if you need help with general admin/secretarial services (audio transcription/word processing/web design/desktop publishing/etc.) I can do it for you from home! It's what is known as a Virtual Office, that make me a Virtual Assistant. Hope it succeeds, I'm v.enthusiastic.

Bear - The cooking fresh only works when I can guarantee getting fresh veg. It's easy, just write down what meals your DS is going to have that week, look at the ingredients and plan your meals accordingly. I find cooked dinners, hotpots, tagines and soups are good meals to make using all the veg that the LOs would have.
If I know that neither of us can get fresh veg then I will freeze the excess of what has been cooked in the morning - it would be a terrible waste otherwise. I'm thinking of an organic box delivery, just some of the veg listed in the boxes makes me think 'Ooooo, what will I use that for!!!'

Really am going now. x

ChaCha · 24/05/2006 23:15

Ummm...emmmm....

Rodeo!!!! You made me google stuff...like umm..Gerri Halliwell, LOL :o

I didn't even know she was pregnant!! Blush
I didn't know that Britney almost dropped her baby, I didn't know that the Tomb Raider woman was PG either.... celebrity gossip sucks, lol!

novadandypowder · 25/05/2006 09:17

Yay - I've got the pixies and rosies from the lady on ebay Grin. Should only come to about £28 for the two sets of 6 including postage Grin.

So...the question is Rodeo and Diege, do you want to swap a pair of yours for one of mine? The only possible problem is that I think they are the bright colours and I know you've gone for pastel, but let me know. I won't be getting them until I'm back from hols so there's plenty of time to decide.

twinkle1 · 25/05/2006 14:05

Diege you thought of any dates yet???
twinkle

tessasmum · 25/05/2006 14:33

Ash asleep and SiL has Tessa until 3pm so going to try and catch up a bit.

We were going camping this w/e but have postponed it as the forecast is awful and both Ash and Tessa have colds. Very disappointed little girl but we will try and do some nice things closer to home instead.

Enthusia - nice to hear from you and Sam sounds like he's doing amazingly well, is he still on the 91st centile? Ash is just above the 75th now and uaually mistaken for an older baby!

Sean - I think you have someone trying to catch you up Grin DH noticed on Monday that Ash was much happier on his tummy than before and by Tuesday we had definite forward motion - commando style but definitely forward. Now he is all over the place and I keep haveing to fish him out from under the table/clothes airer/coffee table/etc. Sounds like Caleb isn't far behind either!

GG - I grew up in N Ireland but had to move to get a job as unemployment was about 17% there at the time. Unfortuantely the job was in the middle of England and I seem to have made my life here now. Still yearn for the sea tho.

You lot and your socks ShockGrin
I'm far too mean to spend that much on something that will be lost/eaten by washing machine/etc. Actually I'm far too mean to spend very much at all. I spent less than one packet of (admittedly gorgeous) socks on Ash's complete summer wardrobe at the NCT sale but I got masses of very cute, very new-looking outfits.

Diege - lovely photos

Hello again Yorkie, Candimom and GO, nice to hear you are doing well. And well done GO on the weightloss, that's really impressive, you must be one determined lady Grin

ChaCha - well done on setting up the working from home, hope it all fits in nicely.
Re washing pile - no, it doesn't ever end, the pixies fill it up again overnight I'm sure Grin
Sorry you are having a hard time with the Matrix. Where did you get it? It might be worth going back for some advice.
Also, when you do think about another carseat its really worth going to a place in Milton Keynes that only does carseats (you are around Oxford somewhere aren't you so it is probably close enough?) We got Tessa's there and they really know what they are talking about. May be worth others who are having problems giving them a ring, they might give out advice on the phone. I'll try and find name/phone No. and post it.

Better go and pick up Tessa
Being on here beats cleaning the ovenGrin

GarfieldsGirl · 25/05/2006 20:13

Well, car seat no.1 arrived today. Still can't get it in rearward, but as with all othrs it fits forward, waiting for no.2! Haven't been brave enough to ring my garage so cars just sat outside, must do it tomorrow Sad.

Bear - have a look at this website, its links to \link{http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/links/manufacturers.htm\car seat manfacturers}. Some have a 'fit-finder' so you can see if it goes in your car. Oh, and Sean is real!! I have film of him pulling himself up on settee (remembered to press record this time!) Sounds like you've got a very wriggly baby there yourself!
TM - congrats to Ash for getting on the move, no more quiet days for you then either!!
ChaCha - i didn't know Geri was pg either, didn't even know she had an OH! Don't keep up with celeb goss, only found out a couple of wks ago that Britneys baby is called Sean, I thought it was Preston.
BEKs - what a good boy you've got there, and what a naughty piggy!
Brownie - hope you had a good night last night.

Rodeo · 25/05/2006 20:22

Right, just a quick one as I really should be in bed, got to be up at 3am...

Nova, I'll swap a pair, although only have the black ones that haven't been worn Blush although the lilac ones have just come out of the wash and still look brand new, have the green ones too but they're not a colour that goes with everything! Would love a pair of Pixies but Rosies would be great too, leave me a message and I'll get back to you when I get back (which will be Tuesday)or when you get back. I've actually hidden them from dp while I'm away - he'll only loose them or dirty them! Sorry guys - more boring girly sock talk!

Chacha Shock How can you not love celeb gossip woman!! Do you not get Heat???

Tessa, sorry you've had to postpone your trip :( It's been lovely here today and we were forcast rain, maybe they've got it wrong?

Nova have a lovely holiday too!

Lots of love to you all, have great holiday weekends, speak to you Tuesday! :)

Let me know anyway, no probs if you don't want to swop SmileCan't remember difference between pixies and Rosies Blush; need an updated training session!!
Thought L might have the chicken pox last night, after nursery told us there were 'spots' !!!Shock. On looking though (and this may be wishful thinking!)the couple there were looked more like part of her excema, and this morning there are no more, so fingers crossed!!
Was out last night, so haven't had more than a skim through posts; will post again later, though have to get ready for driving lesson at 9 Angry; what a waste of a few hours off!!

babyonboard · 26/05/2006 09:39

Diege · 26/05/2006 10:30

tippy tight?????Must check these out!!!!

Karmamother · 26/05/2006 10:33

Morning all.

GG, about the Meriva, I was talking to someone yesterday who works for Vauxhall. He told me the Meriva is not really the best car if you've got small children!!WTF?? He said it's mainly bought by retired people who need a bit of extra space occasionally for grandkids. Angry Also, Britney's baby is called Sean Preston. I get Heat every week so if you need a celeb update just ask!!

Beks, sorry about not phoning the other night. Big argument all evening with much crying from me so I ended up just going to bed early. Will try again tonight. I can record BB on the Sky+ so don't worry about me missing it. Smile

I've just scanned the posts so I do appologise for not answering to everyone.

When I was at work yesterday & spent the afternoon in the delivery suite for a couple of caesareans. I bumped into one of my community midwives at the desk! I proudly told her I was still BFing at 6 months & also expressing whilst at work. She congratulated me & I felt like I'd just been given the Headteacher's award!! Also, the senior MW asked me if I'd consider returning to Midwirery. Well, for a start, it's much easier doing anaesthetics. Only one patient at a time, which is nice!! However, it did get me thinking. I'd have to do a return to practise course first but I would love to be a mw specialising in BFing. All food for thought. I might sit myself down & give myself a stern talking to!!

Catch you all later.

Diege · 26/05/2006 14:11

Froggy Highchair is from a company called Nature First, or something like that (on-line!!!) It's gorg, though poor LIbby's slipping all over the place on its shiny wooden surfaces Grin. Looks good though, so what the hell!!!
