Rhumba Envy Lile Wabbitt - I love Glasgow too - difficult not to - and I was also introduced to Glasgow by a man I was madly in love with - till he turned out to be a low down dirty low life - but it was good whilst it lasted!!! ahh when I was young......Wink Any news PC?

Simplyred · 14/06/2006 21:14

Please swop Lile for like!!! Having a good day!

wabbitt · 15/06/2006 08:28

Morning Everyone Smile

It's sunny here again today! whoohooo!!

SR - What a conincidence about our Glasgow experiences - my young man was a rather lovely young surgeon, we still hold a bit of a torch for eachother... how sweet Grin (but he's an incorrigable (sp) tart!!!)

I'm going out tonight - only to a pub but it will be nice to preen and feel really feminine.

Have a good day everyone xxx

Hello everyone I am comming out of hiding. Thanks for all the support you have given me over the last week.

HV is comming out today so will have a good chat to her about what has been going on. Rota system is working well. DH is doing his share of the jobs on there without a murmur (sp).

I am being a naughty mummy and resorting to tv to keep the children ocupied today so that I can get on with our bedroom as it is the last room to be sorted ready for their visit next week. They haven't given me a day to keep me on my toes I suppose.

I feel better for having a tidy house but am still pissed of about the way it was brought about iyswim.

I have certainly been finding out who my friends are over the last week. There have been a few who have felt the need to gossip about it and I am this weeks red hot topic on the playground. Shall hold my head high and meet all their looks. I shall talk to them and explain if they ask what has hapened but otherwise screw the lot of them. I don't need judging by the mummy mafia on the playground.

D is sitting well and still enjoying his meals. HV said she would weigh him today.

DD is having problems with the stress levels around here. She knows that something is going on and picked up on the SW comment that she wasn't going to recomend taking the children away to a foster home and keeps asking if the lady is going to take her mummy away. I am sure she thinks that she is being naughty and thats why the lady comes round and tells mummy off. She has started to have the odd accident durring the day and comes to me in tears to tell me that she is wet. I am doing my best to reassure her that everything is ok and that the lady won't take anyone away. I am trying to have as much time and fun with the kids as possible but need to get the last few jobs on the list done. I am now nagging to redecorate in 90 percent of the house even if it is just linning paper and paint as it will change the feel of the house completly. Most of it is still the same as it was when we moved in nearly 9 years ago.

Sorry not to do personals this time round but needed to get this lot off my chest.

Simplyred · 15/06/2006 11:32

Take care Mummyhill & have a great evening out wabbitt - a surgeon ahh - a different tart then!! he he!

wabbitt · 15/06/2006 15:44

Ha ha ha - yup! I do seem to go for professional types with a tarty nature!!! Can't keep their willies in their pants Grin Mind you - Glasgow Doc wasn't a cheat, just a tart!!!

Mummyhill - I'm sure if anyone can reassure N that the family are safe and nobody's in trouble, it's you. Heaps and heaps of love is all they need and your an expert at that {{{{Hugs}}}} from me for your LOs. It's a tough experience for you all to go through. xxx

I've just got back from the Uni Campus where everyone is in high spirits and the young students are lounging on the grass laughing and snogging! It's a lovely time when all tbe exams are over (Not mine i know but I enjoy the sense of relief all the others are feeling)

I think I'll have a lovely night out tonight Smile

mummyhill · 15/06/2006 19:47

Bless my poor starved baby weighed in at 26lb 2oz. He is hitting the top of the chart. HV has told SS that it is just a blip and that the children are following the correct developmental lines etc. She also told them that I had been discussing with her the best way to tackle the state of the house the day before they came out. Also that I was struggling to get it done as I was putting the childrens needs before anything else. I.e. if children cry drop what I am doing and sort them out rather than ignore them cause I have to get something finished.

mummyhill · 15/06/2006 19:49

not sure if that post made any sense at all.

PiccadillyCircus · 16/06/2006 10:18

Aargh - laptop died yesterday (part where the power supply plugs into computer has snapped off) so Alice and I have sneaked into library (she is hsppily eating my keys)

Interview went well and I managed not to shave my tights or put polish on my face Smile. \don't think I want the job though - a bit further from here and not much more money (although possiblitiy of bonus probably did tempt me). need to let them know.

We are away tp (hopefully) sunny France on Monday until 29th (so OK time for laptop to die I suppose. Also it is leased through work so is being collected this afternoon).

Alice starting to squawk so had better stop Grin.

Yes Mummyhill - you made sense Smile

Have a fabulous time in France PC - tell us all about it when you get back Smile and a little bit Envy

Had good night last night - supping wine with some rather deeelishhh cricketers from the Warwickshire first team (Neil Carter amongst them for all you cricket fans? No cricket fans??? Sad Was hoping for an impressive name drop then Grin)

I was reeeely hoping a friend of a friends friend would be there... but sadly he was at home doing children duty so he couldn't come out to play. BUT I do have a date with him on Tuesday so... I'll get him all to myself without having to share him amongst the motley many that hang out at our drinking hole Smile.

I'm very lucky to have lovely friends who want to see me get out there and have fun after the horrible beginning of the yeear - reliable baby sitters more than willing to do swapsies for when they want nights out Smile

Nandy is doing her very first official baby sitting session for a couple of my friends next weekend. She's taking it very seriously Smile. Can't believe she's 15 this year Shock

Enjoy the lovely weather everyone

milward · 16/06/2006 14:20

Simplyred · 16/06/2006 17:57

Hello!

Glad the evening out was good Wabbitt and a date too!- I'm a bit envious - I've been thinking about my dating days recently and I did enjoy them! It must be something todo with nearing 40! Had my hair coloured blonde today - which is rather shocking as my natural colour is almost black!

Rachel has two teeth and is climbing up the furniture- she is very cute and smiles and 'talks' to everyone! She weighs 20lbs - My word Mummyhill your 26 pounder! bet he makes your arms ache! Hope dd feels more settled now.

Have a great time in France PC.

Must go ds is in the fridge!

wabbitt · 17/06/2006 18:08

Wilting in Warwickshire Grin

Simplyred · 17/06/2006 21:05

Hello!

Yes very hot here! Too hot to do anything. DS and DH are camping tonight so just me and Rachel at home - so she has marked our girls night in by being sick everywhere!

wabbitt · 18/06/2006 01:01

Sad Poor little rachel

C helped himself to water from a sippy cup for the first time this evening Smile

Simplyred · 18/06/2006 09:03

Ah well done C!

Rachels much better and chirpy this morning Smile

mummyhill · 18/06/2006 09:30

Morning all.

Wabbitt can we meet on the 7th? you name the location and i will find it. The Midlands anual picnic is Thursday 17th August Town Gate Sutton Park can meet you off the motorway (junction 7 is best) if you want to come and you could follow me there.

am typing one handed myself atm done something to my wrist at work again possibly RSI as it is common for checkout operators.

am hoping to be able to enjoy the weather today. Was cooped up at work all day yesterday.

wabbitt · 19/06/2006 14:00

Hello everyone

C's coasting properly now, poor little mite attempt a solo mission every now and then and collapses in a heap (many tears)

He's madly interested in anythiing that doesn't resemble a childs toy!

remote
mobile/home phones
chess pieces
dvd player
dvd's (out of case espcially)
my pusrse - and getting everything out of it and hiding cards under the sofa!

List is pretty endless actually! I'm rapidly going grey as a consequence

thinking of starting a 'Where did the baby go?' Frantic mummy's thread.

mummyhill · 19/06/2006 14:37

How about another why won't my baby sleep thread? He is fighting the afternoon nap as I type I decided it was safer to pop him in the travel cot and walk away to make a cuppa than to try sitting there holding him cause I am getting pretty frantic again.

mummyhill · 19/06/2006 16:44

Yay he went to sleep for an hour. Which meant that I could talk to the homestart coordinator in peace. She is going to get back to me in a week or so about comming out with a volunteer.

Simplyred · 20/06/2006 13:15

Hello!

How are you all?

wabbitt · 20/06/2006 14:32
