We are getting very excited about the World Cup here - ds keeps singing Sealions on his shirt (bless!)

jaamy · 11/06/2006 09:54

Thanks SR, will try our best!
LOL at your DS' sealions!

confusedandaffraid · 11/06/2006 10:02

She lives miles away and hasn't even been in my house for at least 2 yrs.

No she didn't offer me any help prior to this nor did she give any warning as to her actions.

Needless to say we are not on speaking terms anymore. Have had calls from her family one from her mum was a bit abusive but the one from her sister was not to bad but to be honest I just want them to leave me alone for a bit.

Simplyred · 11/06/2006 19:05

CAA - I'm sorry I find it amazing that another woman would do this to you. Hope it goes really well tomorrow - I've cleaned my house today too - its so easy to get untidy with so very much to do! - thinking of you xxxx

milward · 11/06/2006 23:56

Hello to all xxx haven't posted here for awhile -I'll catch up.

CCA hope you're ok
Pc - your little one is lovely!
wabbit - I'm 10 stone & should be 8.5 stone - don't know what happened!

Here ds4 is a challenge to nappy change as he goes from back to front in a flash & then starts moving. Seem to remember this tricky phase with my others - how I sorted it don't remember!! apart from lot of quick baths - but not practical when out & about.

love to all xxx

wabbitt · 12/06/2006 00:25

Hi to everyone

Had an awful day yesterday as ex was being inconsiderate and undermining - rude to my best friend here and late in bringing C home from a visit to his fathers - I've also had to remind him to put a maintenance payment into my account - so late this month he's caused me £90 bank charges and only pays £150 a month - grrrrrr to direct debits and horrid disrespectful men who don't know what it's like bringing children up on a tiny income and alllll Allllone

I should really just forget his wishes and go through the CSA for payments... but poor him he might not be able to keep his 4 bed detached house if I did this!!!! (well that's his excuse)

I think I'm bloody lovely letting him into the house let alone letting him take Conrad for days out

OOOOH so sorry everyone I'm just so mad. he's snide and scathing about the way I discipline Nandy and just a bit of a S**t really.

Wish I had a loving and stable relationship with some sweet guy who could see me for the kind and slightly dizzy woman I am... and love me for it!

hey ho - feel a little better for the rant but apologies again...

They predict good weather all week here Jaamy - hope you have a great holiday Smile

Best wishes for tomorrow CAA {{hugs}} and xxx

I've determined to go and talk to the CAB about the situation with my ex - just want to know what to expect if he decides to go to court over access (which I've never denied) or my biggest concern, custody. Something fishy going on but can't tell quite what yet Sad

nighty night all xxx

Hi to Milward by the way Smile

PiccadillyCircus · 12/06/2006 11:41

Sorry you had such a bad day yesterday wabbitt. Silly ex of yours Angry.

Thinking of you CAA - I am still amazed that your "friend" did that.

Thought it was going to rain here, but the sun has come out again Smile.

Proving to be a right stinker PC Angry

Simplyred · 12/06/2006 12:35

Hello

Wabitt - access yes - but custody - there is no way they would take C from his loving Mummy and place him with Dick Dastardly. I'm sure you worry he is in the 'know' to do all the right things to get his own way - but I'd state my mortgage on it not happening. Thinking of you - ps I love my Quinny Zapp - how are you finding yours?

Did it rain Pc - we had 3 spots and then it stopped.?

Hope all is well with you CAA.

Hello Milward - I'm 10'4 and should be 9! But I was 12'1 so much better!!! and nappy changing is a night mare here to!

confusedandaffraid · 12/06/2006 16:24

This is messing with my head no one has been out yet, phoned their offices and although my social worker is out on visits they don't know if she is comming here today or not.

Simplyred · 12/06/2006 16:51

CAA - I'm so sorry - after they made you work so hard over this extremely hot weekend - now they make you stay in all day for nothing! take care xxx

confusedandaffraid · 12/06/2006 17:01

Can't seem to stop crying. Supposed to be going to work tonight maybe it will be the break I need but I am going to be in the brown gooey stuff for not going in on Friday or Saturday even though I told them I am having problems of a personal/delicate nature.

Simplyred · 12/06/2006 18:16

Take care CAA - and if your employers going to moan about 2 days off - will taking 3 be any worse? - you owe it to yourself to take stock - plus you really need some time to yourself. You must be totally drained. xxxx

wabbitt · 12/06/2006 22:36

Oh CAA - so sorry this has happened and I was so busy with N who was off school I missed your call. I'll call you tomorrow - hope you don't have too much to contend with at work tonight. xxx

SR - I know the custody idea is far fetched but when he's been belittling and undermining (lots of critical comments, insinuation that I can't cope etc) I wonder WHY? What's going on in his head? He's a piece of work he really is...

My Zapp is brilliant - I worry slightly that I overwork it!!! not being able to drive means I walk everywhere and seem to be out and about all day...

On the weight front I'm sulking - I weighed myself on the boots scales today and I was 10st 1lb. Humph!

confusedandaffraid · 13/06/2006 08:55

Work suprised me, they were great. The manager I spoke to listened to me, let me cry and then reassured me that everything would be ok and when I asked her how she could say that she revealed that she used to be a childrens social worker. She has seen my children and thinks that they are beautiful and that there was no way she would of categorised them as neglected!!!!

Well I am not putting mylife on hold for them today. I am going to mums and tots this morning and I am taking dd to nursery my self and I shall take her to dance class after school as well.

I will leave an envelope with the SW's name on it selotaped to the porch telling her where we are and giving my mobile number so that she can phone me to arrange to come and see us. The children need to get out of the house and I can't keep asking others to take dd to and from nursery. Besdides which i will go mental if I am stuck in the house all day again today.

milward · 13/06/2006 09:07

hello all xxx

dd2 has a farm visit today!! just off to collect her from school & take her there. ds4 has a tooth coming through so I only slept 2hrs!! could do with a rest rather than the country life today :)

confusedandaffraid · 13/06/2006 17:10

OK they have beeen out this afternoon. This time there were two of them. They looked round the house again and said that they were happy with the level of improvement and that I had proved that I can do it and that I can ask for help when needed as I had my parents in with us doing the grunt work and his parents looking after the children. They have given me a further week to finish the job and will be back out next week to have another look and to discuss coping strategies to help me keep on top of the housework.

They also want to help me structure my week so that I can have some time to myself to do something for myself.

I had a phone call from Homestart this afternoon and they are comming out on Monday to have a chat to see what they can do to support me.

Things are comming together. I have decided tht evry time they tell me to jump I am going to ask how high and then jump higher iyswim.

DH has actually being doing his best to help as well. I think we will sit down and make our own rota for chores before they come out next week so that it shows that we have thought about it and are trying to get it sorted.

wabbitt · 13/06/2006 22:56

Well done CAA Smile - Hope this is going to be the beginning of a new chapter for you and dh where he really starts to support the work you have to do and recognise he's responsible too.

{{{Hugs}}} to you and a virtual bottle of something for you to relax with Grin

Milward - I think C's getting the first signs of his two top teeth coming through... He's quick to cry and constantly gnawing on anything he can put in his mouth. Hope you get more sleep tonight xxx

Night night all - I'm off for an early night tonight. I've got to see my personal tutor tomorrow and she's quite vile.

PiccadillyCircus · 14/06/2006 08:10

Aargh - I have a job interview today.

Not sure why I'm doing it really but friend of mine that I used to work with told me about a job that another friend of his is trying to find someone for. And so I'm having a try. Would be more money than current job. But all my accountancy brain has departed Grin.

Oh well, get to go to London on a train on my own. Just need to shave legs, armpits, wash hair, polish shoes, find tights etc etc..

OP posts:
wabbitt · 14/06/2006 08:16

Good luck PC - Hope you get it if it's right for you

I wasn't aware that you'd gone back to work PC - when did that happen?

Morning to everyone x

confusedandaffraid · 14/06/2006 08:40

PiccadillyCircus · 14/06/2006 08:56

Haven't yet gone back to work (not until July 10th) so would need to give notice there I suppose.

I think I'm doing this on a nothing ventured nothihg gained thing.

NOw have shaved legs and armpits and clean hair Smile.

CAA, I'm sure you will continue to jump higher all the time.

Wabbitt, hope the tutorial goes well.

Was reminiscing over the last antenatal threads last night - some days we all posted soooo much Grin. And thinking about some of the people who don't post anymore.

Rhumba · 14/06/2006 09:40

CAA - been thinking of you the past few days, glad that things are getting sorted out.

PC - good luck with the interview.

Jammy - hope you have a lovely time at centre parcs we're off the the one in sussex in about 10 days.We seem to be coping wach other as the christenings and I think wedding anniverseries were the same day!

Milward - hope you got more sleep last night. don't know how you survive on the two hours!

Wabbit - hope today isn't too vile

Well been busy with trying to sort everything for the move. HAd an interesting 4 days in Glasgow looking at a few houses and trying to get an idea of the different areas. I loved one area but it's not really that convenient for either of the parents so have pretty much decided to rule it out. Trying to find two mursery places at 3 months notice isn't easy and it's all different as far as pre-schooletc goes. Good new is childcare is about £10-15 a day cheaper per child so will have a bit more left after my childcare at the end of the month. Work have agreed to let me work from home up there but may have to travel a bit more. Also need to be very disclipined as find working from home very distracting.

Better get on

Simplyred · 14/06/2006 12:41

Hello!

Well done CAA - glad to hear you have done so well and are remaining so positive - also glad dh is helping to.

Hello Wabitt - good luck with your tutor and hoping exp stops making you feel unsettled.Hows your wrist?

Hello Rhumba and best of luck PC - hope you shaved your tights and polished your arm pits! I've put sure in my hair today and hairspray under my arms - very crispy!

2 hours sleep milward Shock

See you later all xxx

wabbitt · 14/06/2006 15:13

Hello everyone Smile

Tutor utterly vile as I expected - shrivelled heart!!! She's just so jobsworth, you can't talk to her about things of a personal nature so can't explain how this year's panned out for me and the baby. She's representing me to the examination board and treats me like I broke my arm on purpose Shock

Rhumba - It's worth sussing out the areas in Glasgow I think, how long do you have before you have to move? Good luck with the house hunting, wish I was moving to Glasgow, I fell in love with the place as I was introduced to it by a guy I was madly in love with... such lovely memories Smile

SR - the wrist is desperate for freedom! - PMSL about underarms and hairspray!!! Grin

I'm waiting for an appointment to see the consultant again and for them to take the cast off - I had to ring them to remind them today.

I love the beautiful sunny weather but you can get more done on overcast days like today... prefer sitting on my butt sippiing iced tea to getting things done Grin

How did the interview go PC?
