Hello everyone.

Glad to see more of you again Smile.

We went to Italy for 3 nights last Thrsday and got back yesterday. It's my FIL's 60th birthday tomorrow and so 9 of us altogether went out and stayed in an Italian Villa. Weather was nice and both children enjoyed themselves and were enjoyed Smile. I had been concerned about how DS (2.5) would be on a plane, but he was fine.

Had better go as Alice is trying to demolish things Grin. Still no crawling or rolling but that doesn't stop her being into everything Smile.

Hi PC - how lovely to go to Italy, so glad the flight went well, I can imagine it being more troublesome doing the hanging around between booking in and boarding than the flight itself. sounds a fabulous way to make a celebration special Smile

Jaamy - yes it was my sister who was pregnant - her baby daughter is now 9 weeks old and such a lovely little pudding!

Lovely weather again, hope you can all enjoy it

Hello everyone

Rachel has her 7-9 month appointment at the end of the month when she will be 9+ months. She is crawling commando style too - she is into every thing - she knows no fear. On Saturday I thought dh was watching her and he thought I was! - I quickly noticed - but by this time she was eating a gerbera leaf! I had forgotton how tiring it is chasing around after such a tot! She has gone to bed - think the heat has made her extra tired!

Simplyred · 05/06/2006 19:20

Italy PC! Envy

wabbitt · 05/06/2006 21:23

Ha ha ha - watching the promotional blurb here I've just noticed that C looks like Curious George!!! Grin

mummyhill · 06/06/2006 08:19

Ohh he soo does not that's cruel wabbitt. He is a beautiful little boy. nothing like a monkey at all. Glad to see you posting again hun will call you later.

wabbitt · 06/06/2006 12:29

Ahhh mummyhill - he is such a little monkey though... from cute tootling about following me around, he's now gaining independence and getting his little pingies into everything and learning to climb! Shock think I'll get him crampons and rope next time I'm in town Grin

Another lovely lovely day - so much to do in the house - barely know where to start and just want to get out and enjoy the sunshine... will me to be good and get on with the chores everyone!

Enjoying being back on MN Smile

PiccadillyCircus · 06/06/2006 13:34

Weather is loely isn't it? DS is at pre-school (first time, and despite him having been at nursery since 9 months, I felt a bit wobbly leaing him there Blush).

Alice might be having a nap. So I should really be tidying up.

Hello!

Curious George Wabbitt! ahh bless - climbing too!

On the 6th of the 6th of 06 - I had 66 members in each of my slimming world classes today - should this worry me? - will my head spin all the way around next?

Lovely day - its nice to enjoy the sunshine.

PiccadillyCircus · 06/06/2006 22:51

\link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?rn=19630&topicid=1700&threadid=180409&redir=19630\Here} is a picture of Alice (looks better in the full size version Smile).

It is bedtime, isn't it?

Hello

Quiet here today. Bet your all in the sunshine - or working like me Sad xxxxx

PiccadillyCircus · 07/06/2006 20:50

Alice and I met a collegue of mine for lunch Smile.

wabbitt · 07/06/2006 21:50

Walked in the sunshine to the University... such lovely weather - just have to make sure C is protected from the sun. I've actually got my legs out in a knee length linen number, I'm using Johnsons holiday skin to disguise the lily-whiteness, I'm still 10st Sad so on a mission from now on to shift this last stone (and a half if I wanted to get back to pre-preg weight)
Loads of walking and drinking water and not eating sweet things - my problem is friends coming over to sit in the garden of an evening and bringing wine and nibbles round... I must be STRONG!!! Grin

My feet are feeling the walk tonight (about 2.5 miles each way) but the rest of me seems ok so I may repeat the excersise (weather permitting) on friday Smile

How's everyone else doing?

PC your Alice looks a sweetie Smile

jaamy · 08/06/2006 08:01

HOw sweet is little Alice, PC?! Don't they pull some funny little faces? LOL"Alice and I met a collegue of mine for lunch" sounds very grown up! Hope DS pre-school went ok. Is he 3 already?
Wabbitt - I too need to shift a stone - am 11.5 and need to get back to under 11 at least. It may sound heavy but I'm 5'10". I need some encouragement though, will you all please check on me that I've at least done a walk each day?
SR - now, does that stand for "SatanReturns"????!!!! LOL, if you'd have had 666 members in each class, then you could worry...or move venues... 66 sounds like quite a lot - glad it's going well.
Now finished work til a week on mon. So watch the weather go downhill! Would like to spend it in the garden but builders won't allow. Off to Centerparc on mon. Will no doubt get plenty of excercise there.
Out for grown up meal tonite - just the girls. Should be fun seeing how the DHs cope with the babysitting!
Take care all x

PiccadillyCircus · 08/06/2006 08:06

Thank you everyone who likes the picture of Alice - being biased I have to agree that she is very sweet Smile.

I have a house full of snotty and ill people Sad. Alice is snotty, but happy. DH is snotty and not happy. He has a big event at work this evening and is really not well Sad. DS is a bit snotty and a bit not well. When will everyone be well at once?

Alice is having her first long session at nursery today (10am until 3:30pm). I'm not worried about her but feel a bit sad that she is growing up (as much as an 8 month old can). DS and I are going to do something fun together - I do feel I don't spend as much time with him anymore.

Better get Alice's bag packed (at the moment I have some moments of peace as everyone else is asleep Smile).

quick hello - jaamy, we'll have to do a weekly weigh in. have a great time at centre parcs... I've never been but hear it's very activity orientated... sounds great Smile

PC - C's not done any time at nursery yet (not 'til Sept) think I'll be a bit Sad when I leave him. Great that you can get extra time for you and DS - hope everyone gets better soon and you don't go down with the lurgy

Love to everyone else xxx

PiccadillyCircus · 09/06/2006 07:57

Morning all Smile.

Hot here again today (best part of the day right now.) Makes me so glad I#m not pregnant.

DH and DS asleep (how long can a 2.5 year old sleep? He's been asleep since 7pm).

beatie, I was lurking around last night and saw you are going camping this weekend. Hope you have fun Smile.

confusedandaffraid · 09/06/2006 08:32

Hot here to hve changed my name for this one although those who know me well will probably be able to work out who I am.

Had the shock of my life yesterday when I opened my front door cause there was a social worker standing there.

Now I have 3 days to clean it from top to bottom for a social services visit courtesy of a well meaning friend who thought it would be the best way to get me the help I needed. How can reporting a woman whith PND to social services for having an untidy houe and allegedly not feeding her children correctly help?

The social worker could see that the kids are not neglected and that they are very much loved but has threatened environmental health involvement if I can't show significant improvement by Monday.

I can't go to work till I have the house straight shouldn't really be on here but needed to vent my frustration.

Luckily mum is comming over to help and my sister will watch the children whilst we work.

PiccadillyCircus · 09/06/2006 09:01

Not sure who you are but I am Shock at your friend.

Sending you hugs and cleaning vibes.

OP posts:
wabbitt · 09/06/2006 12:27

Oh NO!

Some kind of friend you have there - why not offer you practical help (having your two whilst you get things sorted or mucking in????)

Give me a call if you need to (I'm pretty sure it's you!) I'll be in most of the early afternoon as it's just too hot to be out and about

love and mad cleaning vibes to you - I'm doing exactly the same both inside and outside the house if it makes you feel any better!!!

confusedandaffraid · 10/06/2006 09:34

Thanks everyone for the support and encoragement especially wabbitt for listening to me pour out my woes and have snivel on the phone.

Think we can finally see the wood through the trees iyswim.

Mum has been golden and has been here everyday helping me to get moving.

DH has been helping to.

MIL has had the children so that they aren't neglected whilst the work is being done.

Have house to myself this morning as DH still has to go teaching, kids are at granma's so now I have eaten breakfast, unloaded dishwasher and put some clothes in the washing machine I am off to get on with putting all the clean washing from yesterday away and strip the beds.

They wanted a significant improvement I am going to try and give them more than that I am not going to let this malicious s*d beat me.

Have made a list of jobs that still need doing and am crossing them off as they are achieved.

Will post an update on Monday as to how it all went.

wabbitt · 10/06/2006 14:47

AAAHHH CAA - I hope you'll be opening your door to the Social Worker on Monday with such an air of triumph! Can't believe you're having to go through this... !maybe the family will take your PND more seriously now and offer to have your babes once a week for you so you can keep on top of things a little more easily.

I'll be thinking of you sweetie - take care xxx

Hope everyone else is enjoying our beautiful weather - do any of you get 'into' the World Cup? I'm afraid I don't, but can imagine it being fun getting people round to watch the England matches, especially if we do well!!! Grin

xxx

Simplyred · 10/06/2006 20:02

AHHHH CAA

Can't believe that on top of loving and caring for your children,dh, working hard and ongoing pnd - that the tidyness of your home is an issue at all! What do midwives and health visitors always say to us mums - chores can wait - look after the kids. Well obviously that is piffle and horrified at your so called friend - did she speak to you first about it or offer any help?

Take care and thinking of you xxx

jaamy · 11/06/2006 08:33

Just a quick post to say CAA - where does your "friend" live??? Can I go round and inspect her palace of a home as it must be immaculate!!! Sending you big hugs and tidying vibes (not that I couldn't be doing with them here!) You show that social worker on Monday that you ARE in fact superwoman!!!
Mad dash to get everything packed here for week away in centerparcs. You can guarentee that I will in fact be packing everything INCLUDING the kitchen sink!!
HOpe everyone is ok - enjoy the sun as the weather will no doubt break on mon when our hol starts!!! x

Simplyred · 11/06/2006 09:28

Have a great holiday jaamyxx
