Hi dontbugme! My DS (who is DC1) came two months early on 25/04/12 weighing 4lb 11.5oz.

So DS is getting good at this 3+ hr thing at night! Last night he only really went for 3 hrs, but I figured that on the first night away, that was to be expected. But tonight we put him to bed at 11:30ish and he slept until 4:15! I could get used to this Grin - which of course means he will regress any day now and I will be sorry I said that!

Hmm dinner seems to have worn off, but there are no snacks here (we bought booze from the supermarket yesterday but no food yet Blush). I'm hoping little BIL will be up early to do a croissant run for breakfast!

Hello everyone, may I 'rejoin'? I was on the thread near the beginning... I now have a daughter, born 14.06 weighing 7.7. We had a rocky start with regards to feeding (tongue tie) but now it's much better. Anyway, I've been lurking on the thread during night feeds to keep me awake! I would have posted before but as I can barely read the text at night on my phone there didn't seem to be any point in actually trying to type a message. Only just realised that the message text is much bigger, if you see what I mean Blush. It would be good to join the FB site if I may? Will message kveta or dairy...

Twiglet100 · 08/09/2012 19:03

Tea it's such a good feeling when they do that! Fingers crossed for a repeat performance

alittlebitwibbly · 08/09/2012 19:55

Hi all, another late comer here (although I've been a lurker for a while). My dc3 was meant to be a June baby but turned up late on the 4th July. I just wanted to post to let Gwenniebee know that I've been suffering with the same burning pain in my breasts and having had two oral treatment for thrush and dd's tongue tie cut the doc now thinks it might be something called Renauds syndrome. Apparently this can cause excruciating pain especially in the cold! Anyway it might be worth asking your doc/breast feeding councillor to rule this out. Sorry for gatecrashing!

blondiedollface · 10/09/2012 19:51

Hi Twiglet your DD is one of 3 little girls born 14/6 Grin Rachyroodle and I both had DD's that day!

My DD also had a tongue-tie severe enough to affect her feeding but had it snipped at 5 days, we persevered with bf for about 2 weeks but it was hell so I expressed until my supply dropped and she is now ff. Hope all is well with you both now :)

Hello to Dontbugme and alittlebitwibbly as well!

ffnorm · 11/09/2012 13:36

How are all the lo's getting on with their immunisations? DD had her 2nd set today and I'm hoping she's less out of sorts than last time...

Twiglet100 · 11/09/2012 16:35

Blondie, so we were all busy on 14/06! I remember seeing your posts about your DDs tongue tie and was wondering how you were. Mine had hers snipped at around 2 weeks. Thankfully 'the snip' wasn't as bad as I had imagined. We were mixed feeding because of the pain but were lucky in that we managed to establish breastfeeding eventually. Although now she's become a bottle refusenik, which is a whole other issue.

ffnorm, they're such big needles, aren't they? Wasn't quite prepared for that, and poor Baby Twiglet nearly hit the roof. Not looking forward to round 2...

Twiglet100 · 11/09/2012 16:52

BTW, not sure if Shelduck is around but I just wanted to say that the FF/mixed feeding support thread that she started was so helpful in those dark days!

blondiedollface · 11/09/2012 16:56

DD is sleeping more on and off after round 2 this morning... And the feeding frenzy is crazy! Hate, hate, hate vaccinations! Needles were so big and after they were pulled out the liquid seeped out, that didn't happen last time...

Eugh so hating jabs.

gwenniebee · 12/09/2012 12:20

Hi all... I'm back :) Hello to new people/old lurkers who are coming out of the woodwork! My "June" baby was born on 11.07, lazy munchkin. So she's one of the real babies of the thread!

alittlebitwibbly - I'm pretty much certain that's what it was in the end, after all the faff. It's been so much better while I've been away (and mainly quite warm) and also exercising a bit again which is supposed the be good for Reynaud's.

We have first swimming lesson this afternoon... mega eek. Also eek to our first lot of jabs (a bit late owing to holiday) on Monday and going to a wedding at which DH is best man in between times!

Twiglet100 · 12/09/2012 21:10

Old Lurker sounds like some dodgy beer! Actually I quite like it...may even name change Grin

gwenniebee · 12/09/2012 23:25

Ah yes, a pint of Old Lurker for me, please. And more one for my baby...

Twiglet100 · 13/09/2012 03:30

Old Lurker with a milk top for mine

Ginga66 · 15/09/2012 04:55

Hello guys I'm back too. Last month was just so busy with ds1 off nursery did not ge a chance to type plus ds2 sleeping through some nights or only waking once so not up a lot which is when I mumsnet.
But really miss the support so am going to have a read at night if I can.

TeaandHobnobs · 15/09/2012 06:20

Morning all Smile

Back from hols with a seriously teething baby Sad He has been improving at night, even getting up to 6hr stretches, but I think the teething could change all that...

Gwennie that's great if you finally have an explanation for the pain, hopefully this will mean it eases off now.

Looking forward to his next swimming lesson on Monday - we did try him in the pool on holiday, but it was much too cold for him, so that was a very brief attempt!

, I can see the sun coming up... Let's see if DS will settle in his crib.

gwenniebee · 16/09/2012 15:26

Hello tea, hope you had a lovely holiday! DD was great sleeping while we were away too, made it feel really like a holiday... but back to her old habits now. Although in fairness to her, she's pretty good so I shouldn't complain.

We really enjoyed our swimming lesson - I couldn't stop smiling and I was so relieved it went ok! No screaming, no pooplosions in the pool (a poolpooplosion, surely...) and nothing I couldn't handle. Why I thought I might be asked to do something I couldn't do I don't know, but that's what being a worrier does to you.

Also survived wedding this weekend with lots of compliments on behaviour of DD. Hurrah for her. I would seriously advise against doing anything smart in a plain patterned outfit, though: by the time I had got grease from a canape on my boob (grrrr) and DD had spat out a mouthful of milk on my hip, and then vommed quite a bit more both off and through the muslin on my shoulder, we looked like nothing on earth. Actually, she still looked quite presentable, but I looked like... well, the mother of a nine week old with a reflux issue.

Am listening to her coo and shout in her moses basket and wondering if she will sleep. She is a bit big for it now, but needs to stay in it until after we visit DH's family in Scotland later this week. I feel a bit sad about moving her into a proper cot, although she has slept in one already when we've been away without objecting. Our bedroom isn't big enough though so she will have to go next door. It's hardly any further away and DH has promised we can leave the doors open while we get used to it, but I feel a bit weepy even at the prospect!

LetsBeAvenue · 27/09/2012 20:18

Ooh I have changed my name!

Dontbugmemalone · 28/09/2012 12:40

Hello all,

meant to post much sooner. How is everyone and their little babies doing?

DS2 also had vaccinations this week, was horrible. Had to pay for them as well, so that didn't help. He was cried a bit and complained throughout the day but wasn't as bad as last time.

gwenniebee · 02/10/2012 12:35

Eew, dontbugme... having to pay to inflict pain on your little one is horrid! Glad he didn't seem too bad though. I think people seem to have migrated from here to facebook.... quiet times on mn Wink

TheOtherHelenMumsnet · 10/10/2012 11:02

Hi all - sorry to butt in but wanted to let you know about a baby bath stuff product test we're doing that you might be interested in - see more info here - please do sign up if you're interested!

10000Fireflies · 28/10/2012 01:59

Oh look! More tumbleweed!! [hgrin]. Guess you're all on FB. Must sign up some time. Hope you're all well! FFxx

blondiedollface · 29/10/2012 20:14

Fireflies, if you message Dairynips or Kveta (who is away for a few days) they can add you - we really should all be on here more!!

How are you and your DC?

Blondie Xx

ffnorm · 31/10/2012 21:44

Hey 10000FFSmileHow are you?

Kveta · 31/10/2012 21:48

Ooh, hello thread! Sorry we have abandoned you, but fb is so much easier for relentless chattering!!

10000Fireflies · 31/10/2012 21:51

Hi Blondie and FFnorm. Hope you and your little ones are well? Say hi to everyone on FB for me. I don't have an active membership at the mo, and not going to reactivate it for some time yet. My loss I guess!

All good here thanks with DS. He is lovely and scrummy when he's not teething/colicky. He is 19 weeks tomorrow and has two teeth and bit me earlier!! I am sure another tooth will appear soon. Well, it should, as he has been pretty horrible at times today, though absolutely adorable at others.

FF xx
