Hello fellow April mums. Following on from our lovely ante-natal threads, here's the first of the post-natal ones. Join us as we work out how to handle nappies, feeding, colic, crying and all things newborn, or just to celebrate the joys of a new baby!

Oo FB, much easier for me, I'm addicted... Just requested Fliss.

Haven't posted much, been drowning in silent reflux misery... Had it with DS and forgotten how hideous it is. Worse this time as DS is getting stressed and flustered with all the crying. Don't want to wish any time away but can't wait for this patch to be over...

Nice big group going on now! Have sent out friend requests too (LD)

Tell you what, we don't half make nice babies!

LaTristesse · 08/06/2012 12:45

DH is me. I was wondering how we'd know who's who! It's a fab guessing game! I was stupidly surprised when you didn't come up as Flisspaps!

Could not agree more Flisspaps all your LO are so beautiful.

LaTristesse good question?? Perhaps we need a secret handshake and meet under the clock with a flower in our hair. xx

VintageNancy · 08/06/2012 14:50

I've just requested to join Facebook group - CE.

Managed to put E to sleep at about 10pm and she slept to 5.30. Such a relief after a day of screaming and virtually no napping. She's asleep again now next to me in bed (almost 7am). I'm torn between getting breakfast & showering or going back to sleep myself!

HenriettaChicken · 08/06/2012 15:19

Royally pissed off. On day 7 of cerazette, and looking forward to the delights this was going to bring and...got me chuffing period!

I'm clearly never going to have sex again. Angry

laughingGnomette · 08/06/2012 15:23

Thanks Fliss! We just made it back in one piece. The jab wasnt very pleasant and he will be left with a nasty blister for a few weeks but we live in a high risk TB area apparently so it has to be done.

I've put a request in to join the FB group, I'm RM :)

laughingGnomette · 08/06/2012 15:28

Bad luck Henrietta! Periods tend to have terrible timing dont they?!

HenriettaChicken · 08/06/2012 15:34

The worst, Gnomette, the worst!

kat1885 · 08/06/2012 15:39

Booo to the period. I've been wearing a pad everyday since lochia finished as I'm paranoid its going to take me by surprise when I'm out.

Flisspaps · 08/06/2012 16:04

Which one of you fabulous women is TJ?

Bunsouttheoven · 08/06/2012 16:10

I've requested. I'm TJ. Smile

flisspaps thanks anyone, I don't mind people knowing my name :-)

HenriettaChicken · 08/06/2012 18:48

Ooh - Vicky that's the same as me. I never used to have a period when on it.

Did it last a normal amount of time, or is there a chance I'll be blessed with a 2 day-er? (It's not the heaviest, but is definitely different from lochia and I've been lochia free for a while)

LaTristesse · 08/06/2012 19:06

Oh balls I'm on day 3 and was hoping to be period free for a year again! So much for bf keeping the darn things at bay...

Is the injection good as usually take the pill and with a new baby I can see that I might forget. xx

katieelh · 08/06/2012 19:36

Hello everyone, Can join you over here? I had my little girl Francesca on the 4th of April after a 2 and a half hour labour, she was a blooming enormous 10lber, I've been following this thread for a while but I'm new to mumsnet and was a bit shy. She is absolutely lovely and has slotted in to our little family very nicely but me and dh are absolutely shattered. We already have a daughter and identical twin boys so we have a very loud house, hence Francesca could sleep through a heard of elephants trampling through here. She is 9 weeks already and we are loveling having her at home with us as our boys were born early and spent the first two months in hospital. Looking forward to chatting with you all.

kat1885 · 08/06/2012 19:50

Hi there welcome to the thread. You sound like you are a very busy lady, I struggle with 2! I have a lot of respect for mums of larger families x

Yummymummyyobe1 · 08/06/2012 19:57

Welcome katieelh

newmummyvicky · 08/06/2012 21:44

Hi katieelh your baby has the same birthday as my little girl Lyra. 4/4/12 Nearly 10 weeks old!

Henriettachicken really strange bout the period,I was off my lochia for ages too! I just had it light period for a few days, not like a normal one! Hopefully it won't come back?

Lyra seems to have calm down after first injections. Calpol must kicking in..... I gave her bath then a feed, be nice if she goes over 6 hours tonight?

Jellybellyrbest · 08/06/2012 22:33

FINALLY managed to request joining the Facebook Group....can someone accept me as their friend please? Initials are EC...thx! Have had a great day; Em was 8 wks today & so so settled! Ate slpt & cooed... My best friend visited with her little boy & hage just eaten a gorgeous chocolate traybake she brought...;-)
Dd Weighed in at 12lbs 3oz this morning & won't be seeing HV again till she's 16wks. She slept 4hours in a row last night too...yipee!

Jellybellyrbest · 08/06/2012 23:01

Just read all those posts from today..Hi Katieelh & welcome. Congrats on your new LO!

Am on day 6 of Cerazette & gutted to read about the periods. Just assumed BF would supercede Pill hormones & periods wouldn't be an issue. Bollocks.

LaT; can sympathise. My eldest DD had silent reflux & it was utter misery for her & I. It affects every aspect of your day & night.I was watching both my second & third like a hawk for signs of it, and would have been gutted if either had had it. Really really feel for you. Has LO gone onto any meds for it? We had an Amby hammock & it helped night times. That & Ranitidine & lots of cuddles over my left shoulder! Hope it improves soon.

Can't wait to see all the babies' pics on the Facebook pages! I had stopped using it & had to reactivate my account. Not another web addiction for my DH to tease me about...def gonna have serious problems with my R thumb joint now ;-)

Flisspaps · 08/06/2012 23:28

Welcome katieelh Grin
