We've got so good at brooking no argument for no pregnancy complications and sneeze births, we're going for our Phds in big fat babies

Loving the night posts ladies!! Had my hands too full of babies to mn too but I'm awake and with you in spirit :-) . Think both mine have reflux- lots of gagging and choking and vomiting and seem uncomfortable if laid down anywhere near a feed but go to sleep if picked up. Had Seb sleeping in bouncy chair last night for a bit.

My MIL ff both her dc and drives me wild asking over the feeding thing. If she says 'when did he last feed?' my current favourite response is 'oh, maybe as much as 30 minutes ago'. which sadly it often was

neverenoughsleeportea · 17/04/2012 09:09

Hey dream f did lots if gagging and yacking in the early days mainly due to clearing the mucus as he was born by cs.might just be that?

You are doing amazingly x

pommedechocolat · 17/04/2012 11:43

Even when I moved to ff with dd1 we never did a schedule, she just snacked as and when she wanted to. Feeds are fine for two hours once made and we just always had a bottle on the go.

The four hours thing makes me sad Sad how often do grown adults go without food or drink for four hours in the day?! Never basically! So why should a baby?

Biscuitsandtea · 17/04/2012 11:47

You've all made me feel better about the 4 hour thing - I was getting a bit down about it with the constant 'suggestions' from my Ma Smile

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 17/04/2012 12:07

11.55: M wakes up howling
11.57: Nappy change
11.58: Clothes change due to pee fountain during nappy change
12.00: Feed
12.02: M does loud long poo

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 17/04/2012 12:07

My head, not Maia's head!

Biscuitsandtea · 17/04/2012 12:43

Too - I love changes like that when thy happen to DH not me.

I guess at least the long loud poo was after you'd put the nappy on rather than one of those squirters that go everywhere?

pommedechocolat · 17/04/2012 20:38

Abbie poohed today on for the first time since sat am. Grow and vest in the bin!

Wedding about three hours away on Saturday. All of us in one hotel room sat night. Weather forecast awful. I am scared!!! I wouldn't do it but it's my best friend

After the wedding I'm considering trying to get Abbie to sleep upstairs in the evening. Anyone doing this already? Dh very keen on this starting asap but am unconvinced. Think we might just stop dd1 getting to sleep nicely.

Biscuitsandtea · 17/04/2012 21:31

E still sleeping downstairs in the evening. Then goes up with us. With ds1 we didn't put him to sleep upstairs until he was about 4 mths I think. But then again once he'd got the hang of going off to sleep he wasn't really any trouble to have downstairs.

neverenoughsleeportea · 18/04/2012 02:07

Think we put f down upstairs at 8 pm from around 8 to 10 weeks (totally can't remember exactly!) It was amazing to have our evenings back and I felt much better having some off duty time.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 18/04/2012 02:22

So far M is just sleeping in pram in living room in the evenings. She's no bother if she's actually asleep.

I had 2 hours sleep! felt amazing

Biscuitsandtea · 18/04/2012 03:06

Anyone heard or seen anything of Fishcake? Hope all is well in the Fishcake house Smile

jaggythistle · 18/04/2012 06:39

see you soon, i have a DS2. Shock

pommedechocolat · 18/04/2012 07:01

Jaggy!!! Congratulations! What happened? Tell all? Is he gorgeous? What did you call him?

Your night shift pass awaits you here :)

Congratulations!!

He's a special one too as he ended the pattern. He's already anything but predictable Smile

neverenoughsleeportea · 18/04/2012 07:07

Whoop whoop well done.

Biscuitsandtea · 18/04/2012 08:03

I've said it on the other red, but I'll say it again!!

Congratulations Jaggy my love!!

GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin
ThanksThanksThanksThanksThanks

Always good to have new meat extra company for the nightshifts Grin

Oh I'm all excited now Grin

Biscuitsandtea · 18/04/2012 08:03

Red? Thread I meant

I'm too excited to type properly!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 18/04/2012 08:48

Well I've been lurking around this thread since the beginning, but I didn't want to post prematurely in case I jinxed myself! I can't help but notice however that Jaggy posted on here early, and 24 hours later she has a gorgeous new addition! So I'm kind of hoping to sneak in and soak up some baby vibes!

I wish I'd posted last night actually, I was up for AGES - couldn't get to sleep until well after 3 and woke up twice for the loo before DH got up at 7.30.

I hope you ladies all got some sleep last night though! I hope everything's going well in the Dream household in particular. We haven't heard from Fishcake in a while so I hope she's okay. Plus Purple has been pretty quiet - missing you!

p.s. The fact that so many of you are broody for another one already is very encouraging!! Grin

p.p.s. I've said it on the other thread already, but HUGE congratulations to Jaggy!!!!!!

Biscuitsandtea · 18/04/2012 09:00

That's it now Scream your wee bundle will be here by, oooh, tomorrow morning at the latest now Grin

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 18/04/2012 09:22

What??? OMG! Jaggy, congratulations!! That must have been the perfect sneeze birth - one minute you're posting happily about baby names and the next, here he is! We want details! Am off to look on the other thread to see if there are more details there.

musicalmrs · 18/04/2012 09:53

Is that how it works Scream? :) As you're having a DD, you could easily be the one that restores the pattern..!

I'll have to check here more often during the night - suffering lots of pregnancy insomnia now so I'm often awake and browsing MN, but keep forgetting to check here!

It's so lovely catching up with how you're all doing, and hearing about the lovely snuggly babies. And preparing myself for the challenges that lie ahead! Dream you're a superwoman!

PurpleWithaBlueBun · 18/04/2012 10:16

Wow Jaggy! Congratulations!
Music your MW should have a little sachet of lansinoh, it is given out in hospital if you are sore.
And I am glad you and Scream are on here, I am not keeping up very well with this thread and have given up on the antenatal. :(

Dream how are you getting on?

jaggythistle · 18/04/2012 10:39

did a tiny jumbly birth story on the other thread. still at hospital with a face a bit like this Shock getting snuggles. :)

musicalmrs · 18/04/2012 11:18

Purple oo thanks for the info - I'll be sure to ask my MW when I next see her - or when in the hospital! I know plenty of places that sell it locally, so can always send DH out for some once I know it's ok :)

I struggle to keep up with the threads too, and I don't have the excuse of a lovely newborn either! I've enjoyed following this thread, and can't wait until I'm a postgraduate too Grin. Though Scream and scarlet should have their turns first..!

pommedechocolat · 18/04/2012 11:25

Had Abbie's 6-8 week check today. All fine except for her cold really. She hasn't put any weight on in the last ten days and her gunky eye is back. They did a swab on her eye and I need to keep feeding her as often as poss.

Feeling a bit bleurgh about it. I was doing much better than with dd1 but now experiencing a low. Grr. I have the cold now so am thinking when I get antibodies I should pass them to her through bm?? Is that right anyone in the know (purple?!)
