I'm the same ed :(

MamaMaiasaura · 16/02/2012 07:52

Ditto on the tiredness tho after dream feed it was 3,4,5 and 6 and she's feeding again. Co slept since 3 and just kept swapping sides. I'm tired but managed to sleep whilst feeding her.

edward Grin at licks

saasy Sad at black eye but great you are gettig out. Ditto on weight and naps. Not a clue either.

emmazed · 16/02/2012 08:34

sch I feel the same as you, I just feel totally in love with J. I get so much happiness just looking at him. Took a while to kick in (perhaps started about 3 months) but now I just can't get over the feeling.

He has his last jabs today. Fingers crossed no bad reaction

How cute that they pull themselves up! J wants to sit all the time and pulls his head up to do it. He loves it when I help him stand but he has no idea how to get there

Sorry about the bad nights, I really feel for you guys. It will get better (it has to)

fuzzy I didn't know you were weening. How exciting. When did you start? Boots is 3 for 2 at the mo, so I bought loads of weening stuff yesterday. V excited but still got 2 months to go

FuzzzyDuck · 16/02/2012 09:20

Morning all! Sorry to hear of your rough nights Sad. We had a slightly better one. Only woke at 5am looking for dummy then at 7.30am she started the high pitched scream to get my attention Hmm. Brought her in with me and we had a wee gossip then fell asleep again. Just having milk now.

She is now down to only 5 bottles in 24 hrs but iv moved up again from 6 to 7oz per feed. She drinks every bit for the first few but by evening she is leaving a few. No more growing for the time being!!

It's funny when S is laying down, she tries to lift her head to sit and it looks like she is doing a stomach crunch Grin. Just trying to encourage the sitting up now. Her back is getting straighter but not quite got the balance yet!

Right, nappy change time

FuzzzyDuck · 16/02/2012 09:22

em this is only just day 3 with some cereal. I got a box just to try her and she loves it! Wasn't planning to start till we were over 5 months but she isn't far off it. She's only been having a few spoons of it in the afternoons but so far do good Smile. Must check out boots!

MamaMaiasaura · 16/02/2012 09:51

And another feed. Bless her she's definately in a growing mission Grin (I'd better eat more cake to help boost supply Wink). Ds2 is still poorly and asked for medicine Sadhe's curled up in small of my back while I'm feeding j. Got friends over later and hope he perks up.

J is very interested at mealtimes and I let her taste apples etc but she just licks/sucks a piece. It's a different taste texture. Not planning on spoon feeding her till she's munching on finger foods herself because I'm lazy and it is easier for me not to have to take extra food put for her as I do for ds2. Blush

Re the in love, I feel like I have less time with J Sad I feel bad for all my dc as I can't give them all 100% I wish I could clone myself Wink

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 16/02/2012 11:08

mama I feel the exact same I feel like im constantly neglecting both dc as well as myself and te house really dont know where the tine goes!
Feeling totally frazzled today, mhairi has a cold and has been refusing all daytime feeds today and yesterday and is crying constantly she is now 16 weeks old could this be 4 month regression as well as cold? How long did that last for those already gone through it?

Now need to go and express so my milk doesn't dry up Sad

MrsHende · 16/02/2012 18:20

What a day!

Second set of jags this morning, poor wee thing was smiling and laughing merrily then BANG! Two at once! She cried but was more settled after a feed - the health visitor was saying that there is some evidence that breast milk is an anelgesic, so helps with the pain.

We then went to baby massage for our first class and she slept through the whole class! I had to practice on a slightly creepy baby doll!

Then, into town for lunch with some friends and she got very hot so I got out the calpol but dropped the full syringe on the floor. Was getting ready to go and my friend was cuddling her and she was sick on her, then while she was cleaning herself up Lizzie did a huge projectile vomit! Fortunately mostly over me, not anyone else in the glamorous restaurant we were in!!

Once we and the floor were all cleaned up we headed to boots to get a clean syringe and finally got some calpol into her.

Now we're home, she's fed, filled two nappies and is napping in her swing chair.

I hope all you exhausted mummies get a better night tonight. I'm going to try giving L a dram feed at 11 to give myself a bit longer asleep before she first wakes through the night. The past few weeks she's been going down at 8 then waking to feed at roughly 1, 4, 6. But last night DH got home from a work trip to London quite late and when he went into the bedroom he woke her so I fed her back to sleep at about 11 and she slept through till 4.30 - much better! Going to try that again tonight. Do any other breast feeders do this?

Also, does anyone use a bumbo? Are they good?

MrsHende · 16/02/2012 18:22

Hmm...dram feed?!!! I'm sure a wee whisky would probably make her sleep even longer! Grin

FuzzzyDuck · 16/02/2012 18:31

Dram feed Grin!! Maybe it's the answer to it all?! Poor you, sounds like a crazy day! Hope L ok after jabs though. It's horrible, so glad S has no more till a year now. Days like that you just long to be home. Bit dif as I'm bottle feeding but I was giving a dream feed before I was going to bed at 11/11.30 and it was helping her go a bit longer. Try again tonight and see if it helps again. Good that it's giving you a few more hours of sleep too. We also have a bumbo. S likes it more now and she is a bit more steady than before. I got the tray a few wks ago so clip it on and she likes banging her toys on it. Been using it the past few days to give her her cereal (or the bouncy chair). I also sit her in it and then beside the baby gym so she is grabbing at the hanging toys.

She has just had some more cereal (day 3). Actually cried for more!! Maybe try some veg over the wkend, see how she goes! Is anyone else giving food yet...?

MrsHende · 16/02/2012 18:44

Lizzie is only three months so we're not weaning yet, think I'll wait for 6 months - I was at a weaning fair last week and they said you don't need to sterilise all her utensils after six months and that sounds easier to me! S looks like she's living the cereal though!

MamaMaiasaura · 16/02/2012 18:53

mrsh yep I dream feed J and bfeeding. Also got bumbo, had borrowed one for ds2 and bought one for J. Poor Lizzie with jabs Sad I'm dreading j last lot next week. Actually considering staggering them

fuzzy not weaning here. Going blw route again and hoping to get to 6 month ish.

ed had friends over last 2 days and have had to abandon them all to settle J. I know it'll be easier when she's older but felt pulled so many ways. Having said that she napped for 2 hours which was amazing and without me

J amazing us atm. Today she pushed herself up from reclining on my legs in bath to sitting upright, several times too. Afterwards on bed she was doing pull ups like little tummy crunches. She was also grabbing toys and shoving them in her mouth. I don't recall ds's do that at 16 weeks but also time is flying by much quicker so perhaps they did

FuzzzyDuck · 16/02/2012 19:09

I kinda forget that S is maybe wee bit older. She was 30th sept so 20wks tomorrow. Honestly if you could hear the high pitched scream that's coming from her right now!! Even the cats are running away to hide. This girl is gonna be wild, I just know it Grin

CheshireDing · 16/02/2012 19:29

Mama and Ed does it count that I feel bad for neglecting the cat and dog? I don't know how you manage with other children as well as the babies.

MrsH that sounds like one of my days. When it's just P and I going out (no DH) I often feel like such a disaster area Grin. Today I decided to try the car seat on the pram chassis and then I could not get the adaptors off for ages, poor P was being jiggled around everywhere!

P loves her Bumbo, I will post a picture on my profile tonight, or there is one on fb of her in it.

FD how do you take S out of the Bumbo? I end up taking the whole tray off (I have no instructions are got it from a friend).

Looks like tic for No2 is off for a bit as had to go to the hospital today for dodgy cells from my smear :(

BB3 · 16/02/2012 19:35

Oh no chesh, did they take them out today or just sample for testing? I've got my smear the week after next Sad

The girls are 21+2 and not ready for weaning which I'm very pleased about as I want to get them past 6 months. Still no rolling or pulling which is also just fine with me, I want them to be babies as long as possible. Ds was very early crawling (5months) and walking (9) and it was haaaaard work!!!

FuzzzyDuck · 16/02/2012 19:40

Oh Cheshire, hope everything is ok! I lift the tray of first then take her out. To much of a hassle with her in it otherwise.

PenguinArmy · 16/02/2012 20:17

chesire hopefully it's just because the smear was done too close to giving birth. for you

It was my birthday today: the car didn't start and I have an upset tummy plus tired after last night. Been a bit grumpy to say the least

supergirl1 · 16/02/2012 20:28

hi all!
i too have had a crazy few days and havent been able to pist. thank you so much though for all the lovely virtual hugs and advice - particularly yours scheh, it was great! you should write a baby manual!

sleeping sllightly better, at least through till 12 which gives me 3 hrs uninterrupted before the madness begins (if i get to sleep at 9 which rarely happens!) then its up every two hours or so, sometimes less. i lose track because i also lie to sleep and co sleep although i try to get him in his cot as much as he can. i think he is just such a big baby, he is always hungry! roll on the solids i say! hopefully i wont crack for another month or so. id be happy to get to 5 i think fuzzy duck!

im def not pregnant!finally got my period 4 weeks (!) late, although i am bf so thats fine. no babies here! hugely relieved but a tiny tiny tiny bit disappointed. going to get the coil in next week anf then plan is maybe to tty again in twi years ( fingers crissed wed be lucky enough to have another!)

love to all and passing on the virtual hugs to those in need of them. sympathies on the illness front- thats us juat got rid of everything after weeks and weeks if misery. silly us having these autumn/winter babies. my next one will be born in april!

supergirl1 · 16/02/2012 20:30

oh, and i have been able to pist, just not to post :o :o

supergirl1 · 16/02/2012 20:33

happy birthday pa! hope you have a nicer evening!

my dh is annoying me Angry

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 16/02/2012 21:37

I'll not be weaning for a bit yet either as mhairi was 26th oct so one of the youngest on the bus I think,

I also do dreamfeed around 11.30(although this is only about an hour before she was waking anyway) andshe then sleeps till between 3-4am after that.

I have something similar to a bumbo but it has a spinning tray with different toys all round it. There is a pic on the FB page but I'll try and link
summer seat

MamaMaiasaura · 16/02/2012 22:20

+Cheshire+ hope all is ok and just a one off result due to pregnancy

penguin happy birthday

edward j was 22nd October (same as jnice)

CheshireDing · 16/02/2012 22:39

I am not too worried about the dodgey cells actually ladies as I was having smears every 12 months anyway due to previous abnormalities, then the go back to normal, then they change again. I had not had one though since summer 2010 because we started tic, got pregnant, then had a mc since didn't want Dr's fiddling down there in case I was pregnant again - which I was with P :)

More naffed off about the not being able to tic :( :(

How have you managed to get a period while bf Super, bizarrely I am very jealous of your period because I think at the moment there is no change of conceiving without one. boooo!!

CheshireDing · 16/02/2012 22:44

Oh and does anyone have any suggestions on the best thing to remove poop from clothes?

I always wash P's clothes at 40 degrees but sometimes the poop stains do not come out, it seems a bit harsh to use bleach before I wash them (or should I), or should I just go for a higher wash?

Boring question I know but she pooped on some lovely clothes today :( BUT she also pooped in her potty

I know I am mad!
