Welcome back everyone!

Oh dear viks, I really feel for you. M went through a phase of waking up at night and chatting for hours. You just feel so helpless, don't you. I used to ignore it until she cried, then went in, settle her, straight back out. FWIW, it was only a short phase just after F was born, so hopefully he's over it soon.

M seems a bit better this morning, temperature is down to 38.5. It was an awful night though. She woke screaming all the time but temperature didn't go over 40 so we didn't go to the hospital.

She is clinging to me and trying to climb up me now whining, so I'd better go. Back later.

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/02/2012 10:08

mlisc dreaded chicken pox, hope he hasnt caught them but then in a way it'll be good to get them over with.

D has a cold now, runny nose, sneezing and phlegmy throat. He keeps swallowing when hes trying to sleep so I think its annoying him. He was rubbish last night after saying he was doing well in the evenings. He woke at 8:40, 9:20, 10:15 and 11. Then he came in with us.

vik sorry you had a rubbish night, hopefully it is just a phase. I guess it takes a while for everyone to adjust.

chulita so where you breakdancing at the ball Grin

We went to a part and L danced solidly til 10pm! and then slept til gone 8 and is back having a nap now! he made me so proud he was such a good boy and danced in time, at one point stood in front of dh's 18 yo pretty niece busting some moves to impress her! he really is obsessed with her! Got my friends daughters 3rd birthday party later so time for more dancing!

memphis83 · 26/02/2012 11:14

vik missed your post, hope all is better today for you, have you heard from dh now? really hoping things settle soon for you, thank goodness your friend is with you.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 26/02/2012 18:18

Sicksville. Yuk yuk yuk.

memphis83 · 26/02/2012 20:08

mlic oh no not again! so quiet on here come back, come back

Chulita · 26/02/2012 20:37

Still here, still ill, S is slowly recovering but tonight L has a bit of a temp and is very whingy. I also in my search as to whether I would seriously damage my baby to have one dose of night nurse found out that I shouldn't be using vicks sinex during pgcy. I definitely remember checking and re-checking the box to find out what it said and didn't see anything to tell me I shouldn't so have been using it since end of Sept cos of chronic sinusitis only to now realise I shouldn't...
viks hope things start looking up round yours.
Last night was good fun but got home at midnight, couldn't sleep for coughing til about 2am then up 4 times coughing, S up at 4.30, up once more coughing then up for the day at 6.30. 2 weeks of shite sleep and I'm hanging by a thread.
I'm not posting cos honestly I'm so miserable this kind of thing is all I'll say!

Hope everyone has a good night!

viksam · 26/02/2012 21:30

Oh chu sounds horrid for you, i hope you shake this cough and i hope L doesnt come down with anything.
mylife yes my friend was here but D seemed to take a dislike to her, very wierd as hes met her loads of times. She was ace though and took charge of F as if he were her own, lovely of her. We went to glastonbury today and had lunch, she went home from there and i was looking forward to a quiet afternoon but dh finally got in touch, he has been really poorly all night on and off the loo every 10 mins, hes waisted. When he got back to his car his key didnt work so i had to drive for an hour to take him the spare key, by the time we got home it was 6.30, D was sooooo tired and didnt eat anything, not even one mouthfull, i totally lost it due to the constant whinging thats been going on all weekend, D was sobbing and i felt so guilty. DH has gone in the spare bed with his ear plugs, id rather him do that and get well quickly than pass it on whilst dealing with the kids. It just all sucks a bit right now.
trudy D has never slept well, i dont think its to do with F, this crying last night and the night before though are what he ws doing weeks ago so it seems he has regressed to that again.
dh sorry about d's crappy night, and him being unwell, is there any healthy dc's on here??
woods hows J, is he eating yet?

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 27/02/2012 07:48

No healthy dcs here. W slept through after being sick, sick, sick yesterday afternoon and is still asleep but E started throwing up at 11.30 last night, was sick about 6 times in the night and about 20 mins ago was the last time so he's definitely still ill.

Chul I'm so sorry things are so tough :( Not long now and then at least you can take pretty much anything you need/want to. I really wish there was something I could do to help you :(

Seems like up and down the country we're all having a rough time with LOs atm :(

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/02/2012 07:54

D was up at 9ish then half 10ish and was elbowing me in the head at 6am, managed to get him to settle a bit til 7 but he's still got a cold. Doesn't seem to be affecting him that much except at night.

I hope I'm not crazy wanting another one!

OP posts:
viksam · 27/02/2012 07:54

Oh no mylife nightmare, i suspect you have not had any sleep either. I had a shit night, spent some of it in my bed listening to D for and hour and 20 mins, i spent some of it on D floor after getting mad at him and settling him, then i spent the rest of it on the sofa with F as he had a bad nappy again last night and wouldnt lye down again at his 4am feed.
I FEEL FAB!! I cant even focus on this typing. The cm has asked to change D's full day this week to today and i really cant get him there quick enough, his behavour is awfull right now. He is horrid, how can you love a child s much yet thorouhly dislike him from time to time??

memphis83 · 27/02/2012 08:33

chul I really hope things get better soon, and when you get your c section the new baby sleeps well so you can rest up loads in hospital!
mlic poor E, hopefully if it passed through W that quickly it wont be long til E is feeling better.
vik get some rest today while D is at cm.

The neighbour has got a old shit motorbike and revved it like mad at 7.20 today and it spooked the dog and he has destroyed his dog bed, the whole kitchen is full of filling, im half tempted to post it though the dozy idiots letterbox!

L is actually all better and has slept through for past 4 nights

CakeandRoses · 27/02/2012 09:28

Vom here too - A's been chucking up night and day since Fri and we're supposed to be going to CP today. haven't even packed and the house is covered with drying washing.

Hope good health is restored to our thread v soon.

viksam · 27/02/2012 13:47

Memphis ur not allowed to post positive stuff on this thread! Don't u know that! Haha, nah that's great about L's sleep, how are u feeling?
cake poor A, what time u leaving for cp? Hope u manage to sort things to go.
dh had gone back to bed, I'm so jelouse, I have to go to the shop but really really don't want to. F is really unsettled and is only taking a few oz at a time. I'm totally exhausted, starting to wish I'd gone back to brum for the help and support even though it would have been hard work.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 27/02/2012 18:13

Is it too late to go vik? I'd just up-sticks and go!

Hope she's better soon cake. Seems to be a 24hr bug here Mine haven't chucked for hours now. W went to bed at 1pm and I woke him at 3pm. E flaked on the couch at 3.40 and I woke him at 4.30. Bedtime is going to be horrific isn't it :(

I scrubbed my fridge out today. I was disgusted with myself for the state of it - I didn't realise until I took the bottom drawer out that something had leaked It was rank. Slattern.

I have to go shopping tomorrow too vik. I have two nappies left in the house Shock

memphis83 · 27/02/2012 19:39

mlic 2 nappies? in this house 2 nappies would be a scary prospect! hope bedtime was ok for you, L has been a real strain today he has been very smacky, shouty and grumpy, oh and so stubborn, he tripped twice and smacked his head on the wall twice but he wouldnt be told!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 27/02/2012 20:50

Yup. Two nappies. That's one for in the morning and one in case of any emergencies before I get to the shop!

Bedtime was fine thanks I am hoping it's their bodies 'sleeping it off' and that they'll stay in bed all night be fine in the morning.

memphis83 · 27/02/2012 21:11

If that was me I know L would get a sudden bout of the trots in the night! I got down to 3 last week but had twopacks of pull ups and I was still worried! Aldi nappies are amazing! £4.99 a pack I feel like Ive missed out in past 19 months!
I got L a booster for the dining table today so he sat like a big boy with us and I have cleaned his highchair up to go in the loft. I felt a bit sad, they really are growing up, dh is walking the dog and I have pestered him all night for a trip to maccy d's for a sundae to no avail!

DesperateHousewife21 · 27/02/2012 21:43

memphis how many do you get in a pack? I get pampers baby dry or something along those lines but they're only £3ish.

mlisc glad bedtime went ok for you. Really hope they're feeling better by tomorrow.

D went to sleep at 7:30 on the dot and haven't heard a peep from him yet woo!

Woodlands · 27/02/2012 22:11

Can I just say that I haven't changed a pooey nappy for over a week now? I changed one a week on Saturday ago (he normally does one poo a day) and DH did it on Sunday. On Monday and Tuesday he pooed at nursery. Then because he was eating so little he didn't poo again till Friday (at nursery again). Then DH changed it on Saturday. Then he didn't poo again yesterday, and pooed at nursery today. I could get used to this!

He's eating again now, hooray! Still has a horrid chesty cough but much much better. He has passed the bug onto three of his four grandparents who all say how painful the cough is. Not sure how me and DH have escaped the lurgy!

Hope all the poorly babes (and mums) get well soon.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 28/02/2012 07:43

Glad he's eating again woodlands although that means the amount of poo will increase

DH the £3 pampers packs are economy packs, the Aldi ones are full size packs of 48/50ish.

DesperateHousewife21 · 28/02/2012 07:47

Ah ok so it is better value. We don't have an Aldi round here anymore, the one we did have has changed to a waitrose.

D slept til 11ish then came in with me because dh was working over night so there was actually some room! I think I had a dream around 3ish though I dont know what it was but I pulled D across the bed in my sleep which he wasn't too happy about Blush

help needed please:

WWYD? scuse grisly details...

A still vomiting but went 12 hours been bouts last night then was sick this morning :(((( but she had kept down a couple of milk feeds and some bread sticks over the last day. Much happier and brighter in herself.

thought we'd got a place with washing machine at CP but no, so washing will be an issue if she was sick there.

should we go regardless, knowing it could be vomtastic?

should dh and F go for the day (it's just over an hour from here) or overnight?

should we stay here and forget all about it? dh and i taking in turns to do stuff with poor F.

should we review how she is on wed and just go for a couple of nights if she's better then (not sure i can be arsed with the faff for just 2 nights)

memphis83 · 28/02/2012 09:01

cakes all cp's have a launderette so you can get stuff washed if needed. I would go, there is a nurse there in office hours who you can visit if needed.
dh they are really good quality I hate pampers they work out 10p a nappy, Lidls are good too but I am in love with Aldi ones!
mlic do you do much of your shop there? I run in grab nappies (and last week dog food) and run out. We have a Lidl, Sainsbury's, Aldi on one roundabout and they are opening a Waitrose on the same one in September too.

L was up twice in the night, gave him a bottle as I was shattered! going to the dentist for my veneer in a bit then may drive over to work to see mum as she is on her own all week and it will be a nice surpirse!

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 28/02/2012 09:03

I don't know what I'd do tbh cake. I think it depends entirely on you and yours. I would possibly see how she fares today and then decide depending on whether she's sick again, but only you know what you'd be happiest doing.
