viks we are getting married 2014 so a while off but I rold him I want a ring on it by my 30th in Jan, we wouldnt make a show and dance of getting engaged, he just wants to do it when the time is right, he bought the ring because I got an email brom shop with a spring saver, saving a grand so it seemed silly not to get it now!
tsc congrats Aunty! Love the name!
kk hope everything is ok, remember if you need to talk the fb group is totally private.

Looks like a gorgeous day here, we are going to the woods to walk with friends, had a great night last night and didnt ruin any of the food!

CakeandRoses · 01/04/2012 10:17

hey all!

sorry haven't been posting, have been reading tho. so busy and knackered this week - F has chicken pox, work been riddick (planning and forecasting for 'next year') and A has been a grump (think she's getting c pox too). and to continue the theme of the past few years - no fucking sleep.

Congratulations memph Lovely news! can we see a pic on fb?

chul have you had your scar looked at yet? deffo agree that it shouldn't be painful now

Congratulations Auntie tsc! overwhelmed with broodiness yet? Grin

talking of which, does anyone know anything about fertility issues? my sister and her chap did an about face last year and decided they do want DCs after all. have been trying for some time and nothing Sad and she's now about to turn 37 and worrying she's left it too late. had initial tests and everything's ok with her except low progesterone. the doc said it was quite easily dealt with with clomid but didn't say much else and the info out there is v confusing. any know more please?

vik sorry thing's have been tough there but glad you went to an actual pub Smile

have you managed to find any help locally?

kk hope you're ok and like memph said post away in our group if we ca help in any way.

hope you all have a lovely day. think we'll just take it easy - maybe a walk (where F won't come into contact with anyone!), a film and a roast.

oh and dh made me cry with his april fools this morning - it was all just mundane shit (like his cousin was on his way over and expected to go out with him all day and that the freezer had been left open all night) but i'm feeling so knackered and run down, i just couldn't cope with anything else and started gently weeping Blush

Grin i know tsc very unlike me. i think it was the final straw of 'oh and the broadband is down again' that did it!

your poor tiny nephew and dsis Sad. hope it's all resolved v quickly and they get home soon.

good luck with the weaning. what's your plan of attack (other than being attacked)? i'm deffo planning to do it as soon as there's some normality here again but am dreading it as she's sooo bloody headstrong and obsessed with bf (thankfully only 'at night') that it will be war.

Yeah cake, ffs, woman up that's exactly what I'd have done too

kkfairybrains · 01/04/2012 18:05

Shit tsc that's bloody scary Sad. Please keep us posted. Will say a little prayer for him too x

kkfairybrains · 01/04/2012 18:11

And will post on the group on fb once I get into the laptop cos I'm so afraid of this posting in the wrong place and it'd be like something that would happen to me

Woodlands · 01/04/2012 20:45

Oh how scary tsc, how awful. Keep us posted.

Still in the 3+ breastfeeds a day camp here but not in any particular rush to wean.

Do tell us what's up if you want to kk, we're here to listen.

Have been staying with the inlaws this weekend. J was so so happy and smiley and lovely yesterday and today has been grumpy and moany all. day. Weird. Am worrying that he's coming down with conjunctivitis (again) - his eye is gunky and looked a bit bloodshot too. Please not... I really need to work tomorrow (had a training course I'd forgotten about on Friday so am v behind and am only working tomorrow and Tuesday and then have 8 days off).

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/04/2012 07:31

Just caught up on the posts!

tsc and cake hope the weaning works, I'd got it down to just before bed and the occasional one during the day if I was lazy and fed him to sleep. Then one night I said no more and just stroked his head til he fell asleep. That was back in oct and haven't fed him since but still bloody siting by his bed til he falls asleep!
He sleeps on the sofa/ in the car/ buggy for naps but they're getting rarer now.

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 02/04/2012 07:57

Any news on your nephew tsc?

thanks dh the silly thing is I've never fed A to sleep for naps or bedtime so it should be easy to wean her but i don't think it will be. F wasn't too hard to wean but i think it was because he was younger (14m) and also less strong-willed.

we might do it next weekend whilst dh is off for easter and can take over bedtimes/night wakings.

tsc your poor sister, and her poor little poy I hope he picks up quickly.

I have taken a turn over the weekend and am having to see the neurologist first thing in the morning, my skin down one side has gone numb, face and head is killing me on one side, I cried a lot last night, im very scared, dh is away for the week and short of me popping my clogs he cant get home, mum has got L, but he has to come back here tonight. I have been getting a shooting pain for the past few weeks and not told anyone, feels like its inside my head and for a split second it makes me unable to move then my arms go floppy, im ok while sitting down, im suppost to be seeing needle and her girls tomorrow so I hope I pick up.
sorry for me me me, apart from that nothing to report.

kkfairybrains · 02/04/2012 22:26

As that's good that he's more alert tsc. Did you get in to see him? How is the feeding going to work?
Shit Memph you really should tell people when stuff like that happens! Has the same thing happened before?
