I've not been up long Smile, A woke at 5.45 Shock which is very unusual but dh got up with her and put Scooby Doo on, G slept till after 7 . I stayed in bed till G got up.

Today is a cleaning-washing-chuck some shit out kind of day, I have decided so I'd better get off the computer and do it.

Chul A used to sleep 10pm-4am pretty much from when she came home from hospital, she was a really easy baby. G not so much so!

mlisc how is W doing?

DesperateHousewife21 · 25/03/2012 09:10

I'm still reading the thread :)

mlisc hope W feels better soon. It's rotten when they're ill.

memphis how are your nights now the rooms changed round?

D has been waking at 10ish again and yesterday he woke at 5:40 which I was not happy about but he's getting better, woke at 7 this morning.
He's def teething just not sure which ones, he's still got 8 teeth to go I just wish they'd come through now!

What's everyone upto today then? I'm leaving dh at home to get the Xbox playing out his system and in going for lunch round my mums.

Hope the duvet was The Answer vik. W has a vile Thomas duvet too, because E did (he chose it) and so W gets his casts offs yet again Grin

W is being horrible wss, but thanks for asking :). His rash has finally gone today, pretty much anyway. He screamed hysterically until 8.30 last night and was still up at 6.30 (old time) with an ibuprofen stop at 12.40. And E had me up at 12.20 too.

Yes chul you're right, being ill is doing nothing for his behaviour. Nothing whatsoever. Hope you get a hearing test for S soon.

viksam · 25/03/2012 12:28

A sucky shitty night here, im feeling really really poo, full of cold, was up twice with F, poor poor baby, hes full of cold too and the second time he just couldnt settle. DH swapped places with me after an hour (but quite honestly i think he should have got up in the first place!!) D was awake for about half hour from 3ish(in old time) so that was actually very good, he wasnt particularly excited about his duvet but it made me happies and F is almost out of the moses so i will need D's blankets for F in his big boys cot.
DH and D have gone off to meet out friends for a dog walk and a pub lunch, im gutted that ive not gone but just dont feel well enough, would have devoured a sunday lunch though!! No milk and no bread in the house either. Feeling very sorry for myself!
mylife sounds like hard work there, hope W is feeling better today.
dh Hope D is feeling better too and you have some better nights.

memphis83 · 25/03/2012 14:23

hello everyone, just a quick one, L is still awful, cries as soon as he sees his room, doesnt want picking up or anything just us sitting in his room with him, last night was an improvment though with ONLY 8 wake ups! grr got to go hes sobbing.....AGAIN!

viksam · 25/03/2012 17:17

Oh dear memphis whats brought this on do u think? Its not since you moved it around is it, i cant remember? you must be done in! Is he napping in the day in there ok?

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 25/03/2012 20:26

FWIW I'm enduring nothing but screaming tantrums atm. Even at bedtime when he's normally fine/tired, he's taking up to an hour and a half to stop screaming long enough to fall asleep. Tonight was progress, at only 45 mins Angry Sad

Wine cheers

memphis83 · 25/03/2012 20:30

viksam he is ok in the end in his room in the day but you need to reassure him, he has gone bed tonight without us sitting with him, but he is shattered, beed at mums this afternoon and they have been park and to feed ducks down the canal, I moved his room hoping it would stop it, it has improved but just dont know where it has come from, he has 2 teeth ready to pop so could be that, dh is away from tuesday at the moment.
How you feeling now? my nose is streaming, went out on the bike and was scared I was going to sneeze the whole way! Grin
we had an easy tea both night this weekend, just did a massive salad, with new potatoes, egg, cheese, dips etc so no real cooking and no need to do a pack up for dh as there is enough left for him to eat!

Woodlands · 25/03/2012 20:39

ANother day of lovely sunshine! Have been round at a friend's this afternoon, in the garden, and I've just realised I've really caught the sun, I should have put sun cream on me and J.

Went to two second hand kids' stuff sales this weekend, one NCT and one other, and have bought soo many new clothes for J - 8 pairs of trousers, 8 T-shirts, 7 long-sleeved tops, a winter coat for next year, 4 pairs of shorts, couple of pairs of PJs, some swimming trunks etc etc. I got a mixture of 18-24 month stuff (esp trousers) and 2-3 year stuff (tops).

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/03/2012 07:41

D went down at 8:20 last night which wasn't too bad considering he prob thought it was an hour earlier and woke at 6:45 which wasn't too bad at all. Hoping he goes down at half 7 again tonight though.

I think the SE had the crappest weather yesterday, misty and cloudy and cold. I think it's caught up with the rest of the country today at last, could do with some sun.

OP posts:
viksam · 26/03/2012 09:08

mylife is that because of the virus or is it just a 'phase'?? I take it its W screaming?
memphis how was your night in the end, did he stay settled. Its really odd just out of the blue. Your easy tea sounds nice.
dh Thats poo about your weather, Its been absolutly beautifull here for four days now and its looks good again today so far.
Bad night again for us, poor F is really struggling with this cold and has had three sort of breathing issues in the night. Dont relly know how to explin them only that he seems to panic and not breath properly and do this horrid really horse crying. Its very alarming and i WILL be taking hm into the docs today. It really did cross my mind to phone for an ambulance last night tbh but his colour was good and he had just had 5oz and no temp so i think its all to do with his cold, ironically D briefly woke once then woke for the day at 6ish, he's had a very energetic few days and im just wondering if maybe i dont walk him enough. I was reading someones blog about their difficult son and they used to have to 'walk' him to tire him out every day or his behavour would be worse, interesting.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 26/03/2012 18:01

Did you go to the docs vik?
Don't know what it is with W. I just know it's awful

Maybe you're right about D. I try to make sure mine get out and have a run about and some fresh air on an afternoon.

DesperateHousewife21 · 26/03/2012 19:02

vik it was sunny today and warm but only 12 degrees, not the 21 that the rest of the country enjoyed. It's meant to gradually be getting better as the week goes on. It's payback for all those days it was nicer down here!

OP posts:
MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 26/03/2012 19:18

We didn't get 21C up here dh.

memphis83 · 26/03/2012 19:45

It was scorching today, read 25c in the car, dh got home at 2 and we went to a woodland park with L and then I hoovered the car, it was getting embarassingly grotty in there.
L slept better last night, but was still up 4 times, he has been a bit grumpy all day, not much planned for tomorrow, dont fancy the baby group with the black eye still shining! dh and I seem to be getting on a lot better, but I have piled on the weight again, im hoping with lighter teas I will lose some, i need to exercise but really CBA!

memphis83 · 27/03/2012 21:05

wow everyone has gone! hope everyones ok, we have had a lazy day in the garden, My dad has just been taken back into hospital again, L is being so lovely.
Gota party for a 2yo girl on sat what do I buy her? she apparently needs toys, I dont even know what you spend on kids for parties!

memphis83 · 27/03/2012 22:35

mlic I may be imagining this but did you buy a little bouncy castle/ball pit last year? if you did and it isnt my brain making it up was it any good? want something for L's birthday but cant fit a proper one in garden

CakeandRoses · 27/03/2012 23:51

hey, i'm here memph. just been out lots and at work.

v hot here too. like a mini-summer. has picnics sun and mon!

i usually spend around £10-£15 for children's presents, depending on how well we know them.

toys are hard as you never know what they've got. one of F's fave things for ages is those foam 'bath' letters you can get in sains. or a book that all children should have imo is 'You Choose', my two would 'read' it every day given the chance.

so poor L's eye is still black? Sad sounds as tho he's still not sleeping well either.

things any better there mlic?

do you have a date for the scan tsc?

hope vik and woodlands are getting better sleep. that sounds pretty cringey at your work woods!

work again tomo morning but then have the afternoon off and hoping to catch up with a friend and her two children.

hope you're all well and enjoying life :-)

CakeandRoses · 27/03/2012 23:52

trudy are you ok?

WhatSheSaid · 28/03/2012 03:37

Memphis yep about a tenner for a birthday present here. You could look on Amazon for ideas as they have reviews of toys and you can search for toys by age.

Woodlands · 28/03/2012 09:05

Much much better sleep thanks, I think being outside so much each day in the nice weather is helping wear J out and he's slept through for about a week now (touch wood...). Last night DH was away and I wasn't feeling well (have a bug with achy joints/sore throat/no appetite) so went to bed at 9.30 and got up at 8.10 just because I needed a wee rather than because J had woken! He did wake up then, probably because the cat was stuck in his room and was desperate for her breakfast...

Right, breakfast time for J.

MyLifeIsStillChaotic · 28/03/2012 09:13

Wow Woodlands, I could do with a sleep like that!

Cake can you pm me your email address please?

Memph, no. We were going to but never did...don't know why Confused I just forgot about it tbh.

Off to craft group then advisory board at sure start this morning so can get rid of W for a bit Back later.

Vik where are you? How are things in the sleep department?

memphis83 · 28/03/2012 09:21

cakes his sleep is improving again gradually, baffled to what caused those awful ights, I will look for that book for L, but wont get it for the girl as I dont think they are book people Grin
His eye is now a browny green but that coupled with L's two favourite sayings this week 'Ow ma eyyyeeee' and 'Myyy Daddy did it' I dont want to go out for fear of judgy pants wearers, we are going to soft play this morning but only because I know there wont be any one else but my friends kids and us.

Im feeling all grown up , at the ripe old age of 29 im having friends over to eat for the first time ever, and I have to invite my only friend with diet restrictions! hope I wont give them food poisoning!

tsc hope it all goes well on Tues, hopefully they'll be able to give her something to calm her down rather than knock her out. Quite how they'd get a 4 year old to lie perfectly still in a tube without sedation is anyone's guess Confused

I'm jumping on now cos Little B is actually asleep on his own Shock I've been reading but not posting - I loathe typing one-handed, it's so slow and honestly B doesn't settle anywhere but on someone so I'm either napping or cuddling. He's gorgeous but obviously gets lonely easily!

woodlands that was an awesome sleep hope he gives you lots more like it :)

memphis I tend to go for crafty things with presents like play-doh sets or those moon sand thingys. I always reckon even if they've got one already, play doh/sand gets minging and lost quite quickly so they won't mind a replacement.

cake how did your dh's interview go? It's been lovely here too, another reason I'm not online, we've been in the garden all day every day since Saturday. I hope it rains soon though, this weather's gorgeous but no good for my apples/blueberries/strawberries.

I still look 6 months pg...this is normal right? Or am I just a fatty? I can't hold it in, got no stomach muscles at all but I really do still look pg Confused any tips on getting rid of it? got a wedding in 10 days
