AH Jane soft play, fun? Really? God you're a saint

Delia it's half way between 25th and 50th, you are lucky, I had my red book out at the time! and that's the girls weight chart not the boys one.

Yy to everything in moderation, think it produces a much more trustworthy relationship too because they know they don't have to lie to you about stuff iykwim

wigs who dared question your organizational skillz? I'll get em for ya, they know not of what they speak!

Deliaskis · 11/10/2011 13:13

Thanks 40, she's turning into a little fatty then! (well only comparatively, she was 9th for ages).

Dx

ReastieHorrorShow · 11/10/2011 13:58

d I gave alice a petit filous on holiday (the hard sugar containing stuff, not the au natural stuff she usually has) and she LOVED it too Hmm . She was a bottomless pit at lunch - I kept having to dash to the kitchen to find more for her. If she sees me with an organix packet of crisps snacks her eyes pop out and she goes mad till I give her one Shock Grin

Well, we went shopping this morning (again Blush ). Got some lovely curtains in the sale for Alices room from LAura Ashley and some christmas bits from m&s. Went into mothercare but it drives me mad - every time I go in they have boxes of stuff and displays everywhere so my buggy won't fit anywhere. I get buggy rage and come close to knocking everything down to get out. They are a baby/childrens shop fgs - they should expect to have lots of buggies in their shop. Been sorting out Alices room too and now nearly finished aside from the new curtains Grin

wigs you? disorganised? Shock

wigglesrock · 11/10/2011 14:04

reastie I know, how very dare they!

Kept meaning to ask what did you buy for Alice from Tescos.

All the girls love fromage frais, we get the Choob ones, less bulky for lunch box etc and less cutlery needed, just suck the yummy goodness and stick wrapper in bin Grin

ReastieHorrorShow · 11/10/2011 14:09

wigs I got this:
direct.tesco.com/product/images/?R=206-9572&tn=/2/AW09206-9572TPS507800.jpg

Hope that link works as I'm doing it old fashioned style.

I meant to say before. MIL has been going on about how fab baby signing is pretty much since I found out I was pg. She has been showing off signing to alice since she was born. Anyway, we've started baby sign in the past month and I found out this week end the baby signing MIL knows is different to the signs we learn at our class Hmm or maybe she's just got them wrong . I've had to ban her from doing signs to alice now as it'll just confuse her. Feel a bit Sad for mil as she was so proud to know baby sign and show off her knowledge Grin

Emski76 · 11/10/2011 14:32

Reastie, that toy is lovely! And here, here to Mothercare and buggies. Ive found the same problem with WH Smith. Blooming nightmare! I wonder how wheelchair users get around sometimes!

Mum and sis have been here today with my niece, was lovely to see them.
Might pop to Asda in a bit to get Halloween costume for Noah. Having birthday party for Ben at in laws Sunday and the theme is Halloween as mil has bought so much stuff!

Noah had his first intro session at nursery today. I stayed with him and he seemed to really enjoy it. I feel a bit more relaxed about it all now.

Oops Noah is currently 'reading' one of Bens school prospectuses! Best remove it before he eats it!

Hope your all ok.I did read the previous page but as usual have forgotten what was said.

wigglesrock · 11/10/2011 14:47

reastie I like that one too, have been having a nosy as my mum and dad and pils like to get the girls stuff in early. Talking of pils - on my way to meet S from the bus and take the girls to see them. They are back from their holidays, the girls can't wait to get their present have really missed them Grin

emski great about Noah and the nursery, bit of a relief.

chocoBOO · 11/10/2011 15:06

Afternoon all,

Sorry I havent been posting much in the last few days. No good excuses but I have been lurking.

To those of you saying you're going to stick at one, I'm possibly with you, at least for now. Romilly is awesome, I love her to pieces and I always thought I'd have at least a couple of kids but tbh after pregnancy drove me half mad with boredom and labour almost killed me and her, I'm not so sure! I'll be leaving it at least until R's at school.

ledkr Have you really told Ella that her step-mum is on X Factor? Did I read that totally wrong?!

needto I definitely agree with what the others have said. I feel terrible if I don't get out and see people.

deadka Yay for S's tooth!

40 Hope M is doing well despite the bandage debacle.

Jane Hen do sounds awesome despite mentalist SIL. Have you got over hangOver yet?

delia Lots of bad fromage frais action here. R has one a day. I started giving her the Little Stars ones but now she has the Tesco Value ones. Bad mummy or what?! She'll be at nursery soon and I'm sure they'll be feeding her crap!

reastie Don't piss too hard on MIL's bonfire...maybe the baby sign could be something she could get involved with with Alice - invite her to join a class, she'd probably love it!

emski glad nursery was a hit. R has her secOnd session this week. I actually leave her this time!

Am flabbergasted at all of you who have sorted Christmas and the like. Think R will be getting dull stuff from us like clothes and wipes and balloons. Maybe Happyland and a train set from others. I have made some chilli jam and christmas chutney as gifts for others though.

Friends are coming for dinner later so house smells gorgeous - butternut squash soup and steak and ale pie. Just bought a bottle of gin too so might crack that soon....

Bledkr · 11/10/2011 15:23

Im just shocked that people have been managing without from frais for so long, its somtimes all D will eat!and bananna! One a day here too,she has bread cheese cucumber and few crisps for lunch then a fromage for pud,i get the ones with a bit of fruit puree in to ease my guilt.
She is eating really well at the mo,such a relief.
We went shopping to Asda and she attracts such alot of attention with her orange red hair and she smiles at everyone so it takes ages to get round.Dh had to buy it cos im now penniless and i could see he was a bit Shock at the price hehe.Welcome to my world dh.
choc The chubby girl looks just like the ow so i joked about it,but Ella knows it isnt her,she int too keen on her so i have a joke with her to lighten the load for her as she has to see her cos he's not allowed near us without her cos she's insecure about me.Oh it must be lovely to be with a man who you had an affair with Hmm always a vacancy,as they say.
reastie how had Alice been at night?/
Im going to make some xmas gifts too choc Have you seen the Nigella mini xmas puddings with chocolate, they are lush.Wher can i buy packaging you lot?
I am making thai fish cakes for dinner as my bro only eats fish, never made them before but they saound nice, having with chilli sauce and cous cous then bakewell cheesecake for afters. Not very slimming world granted Grin

Deliaskis · 11/10/2011 15:30

Ledkr do you mean the "Christmas puddinis"? They are fab, I make them every Christmas (well I have since I got the Christmas book which is I suppose 3 years ago!). The picture of them all packaged up suggests you could get away with giving not very many of them for a gift. Don't know where to get packaging tho [useless post really].

WeAreBorg · 11/10/2011 15:32

choco your posts always make me hungry

40 what a faff, surely dressing changes are daily occurrences? How are Ms legs now? What a brave lad, he has completely forgotten hasn't he Smile

ponyo I am half indian and DH is half welsh ShockShockShock. he is more welsh at the mo because of the rugby debacle. So what is your DPs heritage?

Where is severus today then? I miss him and wish there was a heart emoticon

Wow, for some reason wanted down under just isn't entertaining young N, how strange. Spose I'd better sing to him or something rather than sitting on my fat bum. He is sooo demanding

WeAreBorg · 11/10/2011 15:35

Nate has never had a petit filous, just Rachel's organic naturally sweetened baby yoghurts. Where's that halo of mine, I need to polish it?

ReastieHorrorShow · 11/10/2011 15:40

ledkr I'm not sure what packaging you mean but beware - christmas puds arn't generally that cheap to make with all that fruit and alcohol (if you were looking to make cheap pressies). Re alice last night - after setling at 9:30 she only woke once in the night Shock . we are doing cc lite (if there is such a thing) as she's still snotty and not right. thank goodness she was alright last night as dh and i both bit under the weather thanks to catching her cold.

choc i didnt mean that baby sign as bitchily as it came out - we had a giggle about it at the time.

there are soooo many nice christmas things in the shops, it's so tempting Confused . i so want to get the elf or santa costume for alice Grin Blush

chocoBOO · 11/10/2011 15:42

ledkr and delia I made those little chocolate Christmas puss last year for a party. It was the day it snowed like a bastard so I was very popular! I've bought packaging stuff from Lakeland - cellophane to wrap the mini puds, gingerbread and the like in and jam jars from there too. Need to get to ikea or somewhere to get some little baskets too then will cellophane round them too with some nice ribbon.

borg Sorry for making you hungry. I'm bloody starving, pie filling smells all rice and ale-y. No wonder I am two stone pounds too heavy.

ReastieHorrorShow · 11/10/2011 15:44

borg are you secretly a friend of mine in disguise? she's half indian and married to a welsh too Hmm . she has a dd not ds though unless you are trying to put me off the scent

chocoBOO · 11/10/2011 15:46

Oohh, reastie you reminded me. I bought this for R for Halloween. It's so cute in her size!

ReastieHorrorShow · 11/10/2011 15:51

choc love it! i would go all out for alice and halloween but dh is a halloween humbug, hence why I'm going all out for christmas Grin

ReastieHorrorShow · 11/10/2011 15:52

oh and ledkr packaging wise i'm getting my stuff for homemade bits from here . they do cellophane etc quite cheap

Deliaskis · 11/10/2011 15:54

reastie the puds are a cheat and are amazing. Consists of buying and cooking a Christmas pud (as in one already made), adding a load of melted chocolate and I think some alcohol, and then rolling into little balls like truffles and decorating like mini puds. They always go down v well!

Just a slightly weird thing to think about, we normally have all our pals over here Christmas eve after carols round the Christmas tree in our village (yes I live in the 19th century), and this year we will live in a different (not miles away but slightly more difficult to get to) place and will have a baby to put to bed before festivities start. Hope people will still come [wails needily]. It's actually one of those weird things that was never 'planned' (as in we never actually invited anyone beforehand, always just bumped into them and asked on the night) but has happened for about the past 10 years and I have always done suitably impressive festive drinks and nibbles. I don't know what would happen if I did all the prep and then people just muttered 'nah it's a bit far'.

D

Deliaskis · 11/10/2011 15:55

Oh and reastie I now have silly town envy. I want that toy!

WeAreBorg · 11/10/2011 16:01

delia where do you live, I want to live there too!

reastie aha! It's me! Or is it? Oh forgot to say, the baby sign class we now go to (after going by accident) has signs like tapping your fingers on your hand for mum, but when I revised like the nerd I am looked on itv.com the sign for mum was hand on head? I'm a bit put out too, it's confusing, maybe MIL knows proper BSL and the baby sign is that other one (beginning with M have forgotten it's name)

ReastieHorrorShow · 11/10/2011 16:05

d could you ask them before the day so you knew? tell them you were just checking as it's a bit furter so making sure they could get there and back? I'm sure they will. we have christmas eve carols here too on christmas eve but noone ever wants to go with me oh, and you too could have silly town for just £25 at tesco (half price). it makes noises and everything Grin

alice sleeping on me hence why i'm posting alot - i'm stuck here with nothing else to do.

ReastieHorrorShow · 11/10/2011 16:08

borg sounds like we do the same signing Hmm was the itv thing baby sign or general signing?

chocoBOO · 11/10/2011 16:10

reastie Yep, baby sleeping on me too! Am resisting urge to Amazon.

delia Carols sound lovely. I'm sure if it's a regular thing people will make the effort - you might need to be a bit more formal and check in advance.

Does anyone watch the Real Housewives of NYC? I'm addicted! Not sure what I'm going to do when I'm at work...

janedoe25 · 11/10/2011 16:47

borg that will be makaton sign language used my the one and only Mr Tumble.

We have decided to donate Zoe's moses basket to the maternity unit she was born. I found out they have a shortage of them. (our friends are midwives on the unit.) It really meant alot to us that she was in a pretty pink moses basket, on the day Zoe was born another 2 babies were stillborn and we had the only moses basket for a baby girl. My friend is picking it up tomorrow, it will be really strange not having it in Zoe's room anymore, but it is for a very good cause.
