ledkr · 27/10/2011 08:12

Morning.Im such a commoner.I left dh and dd watching frozen planet so i could read my zombie book and wait for towie Grin

granny thanks.Sorry i missed your post re N.glad you are ok,they are quite bouncy arent they?I am also dreading work as a,i hate my job and b,i cant be bothered with the hassle of getting there.Id have liked to work when she was tiny and have time now that she is more fun.
I agree with the annoyance at our figure.I have cellulite and a really fat tummy.Decided yesterday to join a really posh gym when im back at work. Its got a creche and nursery and holiday care also classes for kids and an outdoor pool. Its expensive but i figured we would get loads of use out of it,there is even keep fit for Ella.
tadyou csn be my overnight support when im in hospital with D,i doubt ill sleep much.Where are you that is so cold, the north pole?

Dilly is driving me mental getting into everything.I have no idea why we buy toys when she just wants to bang the tv and open cupboards etc.

ILovePonyo · 27/10/2011 08:19

Morning,

ledkr glad you got through the pre-op appt, sorry I didn't say good luck, I saw you had the appt just didn't type the words! Grin at D pooing in the bath again

jane and Borg I have sky+'d frozen planet as I was in bed by 9.30, am looking forward to it tonight! I did think 'aww' at the mum texting you every half an hour jane - that'll be me ringing the nursery in a week and a bit!

granny I think I am just getting rid of the lurgy, yuk, lots of cold and flu tablets for me seem to have worked Grin I did smile at you being awake wanting N to wake up from 5, thats the sort of thing I would do, hope hes ok today (sure he will be!).

tadj below 8degrees in the house Shock Confused Don't blame you for going out to the park, best to the kids running around I imagine!

reastie Grin at you looking like a dodgy hoody-type and A being all suspicious. Hope she settled for you last night eventually

Well dd is now asleep at 8am Confused she woke up at 6.30 with poo all up her back poor thing, then screamed so much when I had to change her dp got up to see what was wrong. No 2am waking thank god.

Think plan for the day is general pottering, yesterday we took her to a city farm (basically small farm in one the roughest areas in Nott'm - Stonebridge MizK?) she was v quiet and big eyed walking around looking at all the goats Grin

ILovePonyo · 27/10/2011 08:26

x post ledkr, your posh gym sounds like the one our nursery is attached to, when we left A there for an hour the other day we went and had a cuppa in the bar - I had a bit of a moan b'cos I wanted to be able to go to a nice gym with pools, bar etc etc. However I didn't moan too much as we had joined it a few years back and never went Grin

reastie · 27/10/2011 09:12

morning,

Alice slept in till 8:30 this morning Shock . I left her to see how long she'd go to in the hope that the clock change would be easier. She's now creating havoc by pulling all the books out from her bookcase Confused

Forgot to sat dh had a pfb moment last night - he told me now aice is crawling we would have to keep the heating down so she doesn't burn her hands by touching the radiator

ledkr Envy at gym. Can I be nosy and ask how much it costs a month?

jane hope the delivery person comes quick - I hate it when you feel stuck in all day

granny hope it's nothing

Deliaskis · 27/10/2011 09:32

Aww thank you lovely people for sympathy re house move. The cowbag had a survery done (that's not why she's a cowbag) by a surveyor who is known in the area (my Dad is an architect and knows of him) for doing surveys to get a better price (e.g. find a very spurious problem and use it to knock money off the price), and it said 'some minor subsidence'. So she went into a mad panic, we then got another survey done into the subsidence specifically and it said it was historical, from when the estate was built, completely expected, no movement since then, no more movement likely, and no remedial work needed now or ever. So we had got this lovely survey done for her to put her mind at rest, and she wouldn't even read it! She got her friend (yes her friend ) to ring us up and say she was 'just finding it all too stressful and was going to find another house'.

So yes, turds through the letter box pls (hers not mine), and dirty nappies too (dirty nappies from Greece no less Byron )!

tad & reastie I also felt that just having been to the Drs helped me with my PND, it felt like I had a 'proper' reason for feeling the way I did, that it wasn't my fault, I wasn't just cr@p, etc. and that in itself helped. Don't mean it made me actually made me totally better, but a weight definitely lifted.

Ledkr glad apt went OK and you feel like you've got the info you need. Will be thinking of you.

Granny poor you re N's fall, I know you will probably blame yourself for ever and ever, but really, you're the only one that will!

Ponyo yuck for night pooing, I always know C will have a pooey day if she has night-pooed. (Sorry that's a completely unhelpful comment isn't it?)

jane & granny yy I am sure Claudia is 100% fine with my work.childcare arrangements, she doesn't seem to care one bit, it's me who feels bad. Monday I went to nursery early (4ish) to pick her up, and it's the first time I've just observed her playing with loads of other babies and noise around, and she was totally happy, she finally saw me (after about 5 minutes!), grinned, and carried on playing.

D

Deliaskis · 27/10/2011 09:33

Oh no! A whole post with no smilies....

Smile Grin Shock Hmm Confused Blush Angry Wine Brew Thanks

chocoroo · 27/10/2011 09:47

Morning all,

Sounds like the babies didn't do too badly last night. R didn't go to sleep until 9:20 Shock but didn't wake until 8:15. I'm just going to let her do that for now in the hope that the clock change won't be too bad.

reastie I'm laughing at your DH's pub moment. The thought has crossed my mind but I like wandering round the house in a vest top too much. She'll have to learn!

ponyo I'm so going to be phoning the nursery all the time too! Although I already have about three meetings on my first day back so I'm not sure when I'll get chance!

ledkr I turned Frozen Planet off cos I thought it'd be rubbish! I've just watched TOWIE though. What do you think to Sam and Mark? I think he's being quite sweet and usually he's a twunt.

jane I'm housebound too. DP has got off his deathbed to pop to work so has taken the car but I just realised the pushchair is in there too.

tad I didn't even know you could set fire alarm off with cold! Brrrrrrrrr

four4 Ouch to Thomas's ear infection. That sounds nasty :(

mizk I am definitely having Ladies Week from now on!

Right. I need to find something to do. Will attempt to put two weeks worth of washing away for a start. It's the one job I think is impossible to do with R around though. Boo.

ILovePonyo · 27/10/2011 09:57

delia funnily enough, A has just done another massive poo which actually made me gag when I sniffed her bum to see if she needed changing Shock What a complete idiot re: move (the woamn I mean!) as if she got her friend to ring and say she's backing out?! Oh and that is v cute and reassuring about C at nursery, playing away happily :)

choco good luck with the washing Hmm So do people find that a later night means a alter waking now then? Don't know if that will work with A or not. What time does R usually go to bed choco?

Maybe I should just stop overthinking this clocks changing business and see what happens eh...

ILovePonyo · 27/10/2011 09:57

later not alter Hmm

ledkr · 27/10/2011 10:03

oh nooooo Mark is being smarmy and cant be without a girlfriend so went for the girl he has already humiliated and he knew still liked him.
Can you tell i hate him Grin

ledkr · 27/10/2011 10:06

Ponyo-i just carry on as normal cos the first night you will just end up putting her to bed later cos day is messed up then it all sort of happens.Ive never really thought about it tbh.

wigglesrock · 27/10/2011 10:36

I've never bothered changing girls sleeping times either re clocks changing. My teeth/gums are all better although I feel a bit fluey, but would rather have that than teeth issues Grin

Am running around like an eejit trying to get bits and pieces organised for Os party on Sat and S&O have to dress up for school tomorrow, so am trying to piece together bits of costumes that will be comfy for them. Sofia is dressing up like a cat, easy peasy, black leggings, top and £1 tail and earset.

Olivia is dressing up as a witch Grin but she needs to be comfy Grin, I am also bringing in a birthday cake for her tomorrow - am afraid the staff might be slightly disappointed when they lay eyes on my £5 Tesco traybake cake - well the kids are already having a party, no sense filling them up with more chocolate Grin.

Anna spend yesterday morning at my Mums and kept crawling to the front door and looking mournfully at my Mum, Anna pet, that's exactly how I felt living with your Nana Grin

ledkr · 27/10/2011 11:03

Ah thats sad wiggs D will still go to anyone at the moment, she puts her arms up to everyone even if im holding them.

Funny how we dont fret too much about stuff like clocks,im happy if the baby knows night and day cos i do think you are halfway there then.

Good luck with party, how i loathe them. I will have d and e's birthdays within 6 days of each other from now on.Ella wants her friends here and Dilly can wait until she is 3.Im wondering what pils will do for her b day as they make a huge deal of them in the family,im sure they will be expecting to be here.

Tis shocking here, wet and cold.I hope it will be dry tomorrow for the big meet up.Altho if its wet at least we can eat in the cafe i guess.

Dills is a bit of a misery today, thank god for Ella i say.

Emski76 · 27/10/2011 12:52

Hi all,
It hasn't stopped raining yet today, Ledkr, it's bloody miserable! At least it's meant to brighten up over the next few days.

Ledkr, posh gym sounds fab! I've joined a gym twice, paid for a year but never went. Dh says I'm never allowed to join one again!

Reastie, loving dh pfb moment. Lucky you with A sleeping til 8.30, the latest Noah sleeps is 6! But then we don't usually hear from him during the night.

Delia, that woman is a complete cow! Especially getting a friend to call you! Noah is the same at nursery, the careers said he just gets on with it and doesn't worry about loud noises or the other children. I think this babies are so much more resilient than we are!

Noah is a really poorly boy today, tried to feed him his lunch earlier and be just cried and cried, so I put him to bed and he's been asleep since. His cold has gone to his chest so his cough is bad. I'd just put him to bed then Ben screamed cos he'd been messing about at the dinner table and fell banging his head on the corner of the table! He now has a lovely dent in his forehead!

Meant to say to Granny, ouch to N's fall, please don't feel bad, it could happen to anyone.

Four4, I hope Thomas is better soon.

reastie · 27/10/2011 13:40

ems poor noah (and ben banging his head Shock )

wiggles hope you get the costumes organised and the party goes well. We have a place near us that do chocolate making childrens birthday parties that I took a school trip to once and it was absolutely fab - as soon as alice is old enough we are doing that so I can eat all the chocolate

choc I try to do the washing but alice just picks it all up and throws it everywhere Angry .

delia so glad C is enjoying nursery - must be so proud watching her get along with all the babies so well

I put the sing and sign dvd on at lunch for alice in the hope she would sit quietly while I had my lunch and she's still entertained Shock . It's such a funny dvd - really old and rubbish looking from an adult perspective but she loves it - she's just waving at the tv all the time Grin

We are trying on a variety of christening ensemble options on Alice tomorrow to see what works the best. May have to post piccies if we can't decide

WeAreBorg · 27/10/2011 15:14

reastie oooh yes, would love to see Alice in her outfits then we can vote
delia that woman is ridiculous. You do find out how bonkers people are when you are buying or selling a house, I don't know how these people cope with normal life.
emski poor noah and ben, hope they are ok.
44me forgot to say last night that I hope Thomas is ok
wiggles oh hope you don't have flu....
ponyo and jane Oh he's marvellous isn't he? I thought Frozen Planet was brilliant, can't wait for next weeks. ponyo boo to poo! Yes I think these days if N goes to bed late he does sleep in, whereas when he was littler it either made no difference or he woke up earlier Confused. My course was top secret, can't tell you
ledkr Envy at your gym. I looked round David Lloyd but snorted when they said N would have to pay a monthly membership (he was about 8 weeks), thought they were joking but alas not.

I went to the trafford centre today, folk in Manchester CANNOT drive

ILovePonyo · 27/10/2011 16:45

wiggles aww at a mournful Anna, sorry if you've already said but who is having A when you go back to work? Hope you have got the costumes sorted, comfort is priority number one for me too!

Thanks ledkr and wigs for being sensible about clock changing. I think having a baby has brought out my inner control freak Confused

emski poor poorly N, and Ben with his dented head - oh dear!

reastie yes please to photos of A in her many outfits!

Borg you are a woman of mystery Grin Interesting about N waking later if later bedtime now... good to know. My nursery is joined to a david lloyd gym, that is the one I joined but never went to a few years ago, can't believe they wanted to charge you for N to go Hmm There were a group of yummy mummy types in the bar when we were waiting for A last time (sophie la giraffe mums as ledkr would say) who were having coffee but the babies were being all screamy so that made me chuckle Grin

A is on her fourth sleep today, don't know what thats about. She gone right off her bottles too. I have been and got cake and healthy fruit for tomorrow, if it rains we can sneak it in the cafe or I'll scoff it in the car on the way home Grin

ledkr · 27/10/2011 18:22

ponyo growth spurt,Dilly sleeps loads for a few days and eats a lot.
ems thanks for the book, did you want it back or shall i pass it on when ive read it?

Can i explain that the gym is a thought and i am yet to discover the cost,i shall not be paying too much thats for sure.
My gym is right by us but im fed up with the miserable staff.I muttered "fgs" the other day and i think they heard me.They are all short men so im sure thats what it is-that and tiny penis's i should imagine Grin

Chocco and all.I will pm my mobile to a couple of you now ive got my french fancies but will be watching the weather carefully.

Ella wants to know if she can hold all the babies Grin

byronicheroine · 27/10/2011 19:13

reastie love the pre-planned chocolate party for you

Borg Try driving here, scares the life out of me everytime I leave the house, I have to know exactly where I'm going and get in the right lane in plenty of time.

ponyo love the yummy mummies with their squawking babies :) makes the rest of us feel better

ems poor bumped head, these things will happen. My dad would say that it'll help him learn not to do it again!!

led glad the pre-op went well and know that we are all here for you. I don't know what else to say, but will second the idea that it will be much worse for you than for D. She won't remember a thing.

I have the best news- as I was putting K to sleep I heard the sweet sound of the bins being collected. I can't wait to skip down the shiny shiny street in the morning without having to sidestep piles of rotting rubbish! That's my news.
It's the "day of No" here tomorrow, a national holiday to celebrate someone... er, saying no I think to the Italians in WW 2, so we are off out for the day. This means I won't be so jealous at the thought of your meetup! Enjoy, and use Ella's babysitting skills to get some serious cake eating in Grin

ILovePonyo · 27/10/2011 19:33

ledkr I thought growth spurt too, aha feel a bit reassured now you've said it. Tell Ella she can def hold A but she is v squirmy/grumpy! Grin at all the short arse men at your gym.

byronic yay for lovely clean streets! Hmm at day of no, at first I thought you meant you had been constantly saying 'no' to K Grin Enjoy anyway, hope it involves lots of nice food :)

dd went to bed no fuss, was still v tired. Am watching frozen planet now, amazing already and I'm only 15 mins in...

chocoroo · 27/10/2011 19:42

ledkr Thanks for number. So looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Just a quick one as I am cooking and also we have no real internet. Or TV. Virgin can't come and fix it until Monday - I''m fuming! I just played merry hell with them on phone!

Emski76 · 27/10/2011 19:43

Ledkr, pass the book on, or keep it. Am looking forward to the chat with the author next week, have no idea of any questions though! I hope you enjoy the book!

All you meet upers enjoy yourselfs! And gets lots of photos!!

Byron, glad the rubbish is finally getting collected, yuk! Re Bens head the first thing I said to him after he'd explained what happened, was 'that's why I tell you not to mess about at the table!'

wigglesrock · 27/10/2011 19:47

ponyo Anna will be minded by a mixture of my mum, my mil and Mr W. Some weeks depending on his shifts, we'll not need help at all and then others we'll need about three shifts covered a week.

I'm not bothered about her mournful looks, she was trying it on Grin my mums response was to give her undivided attention, Anna sat on her knee and was read to all morning while simultaneously being fed strawberries, sounds pretty good to me!!

byronicheroine I am strangely excited about your bins being emptied Grin Have a lovely day tomorrow (think you're right about the No day and the Italians).

Right I will be the bigger person Grin and hope all those on meet-up Envy have a fantastic time and fingers crossed for the weather.

hubbard86 · 27/10/2011 20:43

finally my dh has sorted out the computer, but as he's dowloading films for tom it's still extremly slow. have sent him up the asda as i'm making a 40th birthday cake for one of my bessies and my fondant has gone wrong and i can't be bothered to make any more.
still up in the air as to if i can make it or not as i am becoming increasingly more worried about tom. he went for blood tests yesterday to try and get to the bottom of his nosebleeds. he has gone from having 3-4 a week to having 7 in 3 days coupled with lethargy, headaches, paleness and a loss in appetite. i know in my rational mind there is a logical explanation but in the little peice of my illogical mind i'm so scared it's something more. we have doctors in the morning so it all depends on what they say.
yay for bins byron

debka · 27/10/2011 20:44

Hey all,

I've missed too much to reply to everyone but :) to byron's bins, Angry to delia's arsewipe of a non-buyer, well done to Dilly on her pre-op :)

I will have a Secret MN Sign tomorrow (hopefully) so you will know it's me. Grin Weather looks like it'll be nice, so picnics then laydees? Remind me who's coming so I can swot up on your stats, me, ledkr, choc, ponyo, hubbard??? Anyone else I've forgotten?
