debka · 27/10/2011 20:46

ledkr · 27/10/2011 20:52

hubbard what a worry,id be like you,im not scared when my kids are ill as long as i know what it is.Hope to see you tomorrow.

Dilly is still awake Shock not sure what she's up to.Didnt drop off on her bottle as normal so dh is just trying to get her off, she's overtired now so no joy.

Just watching the Dale farm eviction. Id get flamed on mn but why should they be able to build illegally just because they are travellers and if they are travellers why are they building??

40Weeks · 27/10/2011 21:01

Ah ladies just popped on to say a quick hello, I can't keep up with you all!

Have a brilliant meet up tomorrow - ledkr I am currently at my dsis house in Stroud about 20mins from you I think! Glad Dilly's appt was ok and you know we will all be here for you all

I will try and catch up properly soon - Delia I know what you mean Bout trying to keep up and then not posting! So sorry about your house [hsad]

So have fun tomorrow girls - take a photo, promise

Hope everyone else is well - after my sickness bug I now have a chest infection and it would appear, conjunctivitis. So looking forward to a 3 hour car journey on own with kids tomorrow! I just hope kids sleep tonight, m made strange last night and was awake for nearly 3 hours arrgggg. Don't think we will be invited back soon!

Byron enjoy skipping down the clean streets and your day out

wiggles glad the tooth is better, I see Anna has been well trained in the art of puppy dog eyes

Oh god I am sorry for everyone else I have missed, needto I know you have been poorly, glad you're on the mend. Your poor mum, how about lunch out with you when she is better ??

40Weeks · 27/10/2011 21:07

Sorry Hubbard my post took sonlong to write I missed yours. Will keep fingers crossed for Tom, hope all is ok. Really feel for you

ILovePonyo · 27/10/2011 21:09

wigs I had a feeling it was a complicated arrangement like that Grin no doubt you will be in your element organising every single week Wink

hubbard poor you, I would be worrying myself to bits too tbh, I'm sure its nothing major but its not nice at all to have that on your mind. Hope docs goes well and they can give you some reassurance.

deb I'm pretty sure Mizk is coming too, what on earth is the secret mn sign, I am intrigued! Really looking forward to tomo (not the drive though) I must try and remember to bring my camera for photographic evidence.

ledkr completely agree re: dale farm, the way I see it is if I built a big feck off extension on my house without planning permission I'd have to knock it down - why are they any different?! I am usually v guardian reading left wing but have seen allowances made for travellers in my line of work that no one else would get so am quite Hmm about it all.

Right am going to bed, felt tired all day so hope A sleeps well - you'll be able to tell by how knackered I look tomo!

janedoe25 · 27/10/2011 21:09

ledkr Iam of the same opinion of you re dale farm.

hubbard I hope tom is ok, please let us know what the doc says.

we had fil for dinner this evening and he asked me if i would like a hypnotic gastric band for christmas! Shock How bloody cheeky!!! I know I'm a chubber(size 18) but I'm working on it.

I hope all of you on the meet up tomorrow have a fantastic time, take loads of pictures for evidence! Grin

byron yay to the empty bins! enjoy No day Grin

4forme I hope T's ear is better.

Big waves to everyone else.

wigglesrock · 27/10/2011 21:12

jane Shock at your fil, c'mon say it with me "fuck away off" Grin

ponyo may have to get special notebook to keep track of all As comings and goings Grin

WeAreBorg · 27/10/2011 21:44

hubbard good luck for Tom, really hope all his tests are normal and he gets the all clear
ledkr jane and ponyo completely agree re dale farm, are the Mn masses pro the travellers then? Do we need to start a fight? Smile
byron yay for the rubbish collection. I am in awe of you driving over there, I would be terrified. I have a complete mental blank at driving on the right side of the road for some reason, and those continentals drive like loonies (did you like my incredibly PC comment there? I'm practising for my MN fights on AIBU)
jane how on earth do you put up with these people?
40 oh dear, hope you feel better soon

My only boring news is that N has a glimmer of his first toothy peg, need to buy a tiny toothy peg brush for him tomorrow after our educational trip to the war museum.

Four4me · 27/10/2011 21:46

Have a lovely meet up tomorrow guys!

borg I am definitely up for a northern meet up, if it is do-able. Where exactly is everyone? We are near Harrogate, north yorks. It is really near the A1.

hubbard hope your Tom is ok, thinking of you.

Thanks for asking about Tommy, he is so good taking his fluclox (which tastes awful) I have a big chart on the fridge of his different doses and drops. wiggles you would be proud!!!! He is at ENT again soon.

It is my dsil hen do this weekend and wedding on 12th nov. God help me she is such a bloody drama queen. My dsis is over from Belfast for the hen do, so it'll be lovely to see her. My dmil is lovely so the night out will be fun. Am asking all my friends if they have a big black bag I can borrow for my breast pump!!!! How glam will I be in some bogs in a club.....pumping! Have a lovely new dress. Dh not looking forward to it, it will be the first time he has put all four of the children to bed on his own! Grin also Archie is a sod with a bottle, he sucks a bit then flicks the teat and grins at you. He might have bedtime porridge instead of a bottle. Is it wrong to hope that they are all horrors at bath time? The limo is collecting me and my pump at 6 pm!

Jane heading up to the Scottish boarders for the wedding, we are going in a camper van. Needless to say the boys are more excited than me.

Looking forward to hearing about the meet and seeing some lovely photos.......

ledkr · 27/10/2011 22:01

borg yes you cant say anything about benefits or travellers on mn,oh yes and say that people shouldnt park in parent and child spaces.

ponyo Im usually all non judgey and liberal but this gets my goat.
I work with travellers and they can be nice people but they are they use their status to break the law and its not fair.

40 shame you didnt pop into chelt altho im not sure with all your germs Grin

wiggs we will be doing the same i think,dh or Mum or friend, cant afford the nursery fees,i might treat myself to a cleaner tho Grin
Dh has looked ahead as far as April and he is off for a lot of my shifts.I did remind him that he will probably need to extract himself from the pc during his sahd shifts.

janedoe25 · 28/10/2011 07:22

Morning ladies.

4forme Hope you and your pump have a fab night! The campervan trip sounds great, I would be as excited as your kids.Grin. Hope the wedding goes well and you all have a fantastic time.

borg Yay for nates tooth!

Busy busy weekend for me, I pick up my dress today eeek! back into town with it tomorrow for alterations, need to sort out rings (df being a pain about them, thought we had ordered them months ago, turns out he didn't! The only bloody job he had.). I can't believe there is only 3 weeks to go, this year has went so fast. Zoe bear would be 8 months old today too, where has the time gone?

reastie · 28/10/2011 07:36

jane Shock to fil. I think if mine said that to me I'd burst into tears Confused . I'm so excited for wedding dress pick up - only 3 weeks Grin - that has gone quickly hasn't it! How frustrating re: dh and rings though - mine would be just as useless. We have the christening next week end and DHs only job is to check his suit/shirt etc and make sure it's all clean and ironed - I'm placing bets that I'll end out doing this! I'm sure Zoe will be watching you on your wedding day with a happy giggle.

borg we are teething here too - we are on to number 2 now though. I must admit bfing is getting....interesting Hmm

four4 maybe load the LOs up on tons of chocolate and sweets before you go so DH has children on sugar highs Wink

Well, hope all of you meeting have a lovely time. I shall be here, on my own, as everyone else seems to be meeting up Envy . I can't wait to see the piccies.

hubbard Shock I hope everything goes OK today - will you let us know as soon as you know what's going on. How worrying. xx

Btw ledkr I agree re: the dale farm thing. Tbh I'm Shock mn in general don't!

janedoe25 · 28/10/2011 07:42

reastie I politely told him no thank you, I am not letting the bastard get the better of me. I think his plan has backfired ha!Grin

Hope everyone has a fab day.

Four4me · 28/10/2011 09:17

reastie good idea re sweeties, choc mousse usually does the trick with mine. Archie bit me twice when his first two teeth came through, but luckily nothing since. I think they change their technique!

Jane enjoy your wedding related day, grrr about the rings, men are bloody useless. Me and all of my mates are always saying we'd be better off living in communes (?sp) all supporting each other. Will light a little Zoe bear candle today. It can flicker away in amongst the chaos of this house. I would have replied to your fil 'no love, but do you want a personality transplant?'

My dsil only landed last night and she is already being pita!!!! Better go look after my wild brood!!!!!!

WeAreBorg · 28/10/2011 10:35

44me that sounds very exciting for you, Grin at the pump coming along. Maybe it can have it's own little outfit and badge, and join in the drinking games. I left my pump at home (still with the parents) and had 2 full days away from N - he does the playing with the bottle and only took about 3oz all day, just waited for me to come home Smile it's nice to think my milk is so super tasty he will wait all day for it.
I am near the A1 too, anywhere off it would be okay by me. Any other Northerners? SIL is in Edinburgh so we are sometimes there if that is any good for the Scots?

jane time goes so quickly doesn't it? I find days can go slowly but weeks fly by for some reason. Can't believe DF failed on his one job! Hope you get the rings sorted.

theothers hope your meet up is really boring. I'm not jealous at all. Going to the war museum with my dad is a cool thing to do anyway

wigglesrock · 28/10/2011 10:50

Four4me hope you have a fab time. Mr W is of the tv style of babysitting Grin but he would be so jealous of the camper van trip - a camper van is his dream- he'd better hope his next wife is into them Grin

jane kisses as always, 3 weeks, [eek], now is the fun, exciting part.

Borg have fun at the war museum, see I'd be interested in that and again Mr W would be beside himself.

reastie hope tooth comes up quickly.

Just back from Sainsburys, getting Olivias cake - if anyone is handy to one, they have reduced ladybird/snail toys on wheels they're about the size of your palm to 50p (they're called Eco...) They're very cute.

ledkr · 28/10/2011 10:59

Jane ive missed your fil post when skim reading ill read later tho.We didnt get our rings until the last minute,in fact dh's was way too big but no time to re size untill after the wedding Shock

Can i point out that despite me being the faurthest awayf rom the big meet up i am still on mn picnic packed and kids in car

chocoroo · 28/10/2011 11:03

Ooohhhh! I'm so excited! Meet up here I come.

Just need to sort a picnic and get the baby dressed. Fortunately I only have a five minute journey or I'd definitely be late!

to everyone else, such a shame we can't all meet. I expect I'll be home first out of everyone so I will come on to tell if if they are all weirdos report back.

wigglesrock · 28/10/2011 11:11

Have a fab time everyone Grin

Four4me · 28/10/2011 11:32

Believe me wiggles the thought of five nights in a camper van with four children is not my idea of fun. But my dsil's wedding is in a field on their farm in the middle of nowhere in the boarders of Scotland. In a marquee in nov ffs! So the nearest b and b or hotel is a good drive away, so who would be chief taxi driver etc?? I though rocking up in a hired camper parking next to the marquee might be the best plan.

WeAreBorg · 28/10/2011 11:38

wiggles Mr W is invited on my museum trip .
choc can't wait to hear the gossip. If they are all weirdos we could abandon this thread and go and hide in some obscure topic somewhere so they can't find us [hsmile].
ledkr hope all the parent and child spaces are filled with healthy young people with no children Wink

Lots of photos and put them up straight away for the rest of us please!

americanexpat · 28/10/2011 13:09

Enjoy the meet. Envy

L was biting when his top teeth came in, I think he bit me about a dozen times over a week. Each time I stopped feeding him and said "no biting." He eventually got the idea and hasn't bitten me since Tuesday (just as I was starting to wonder if it was time to stop bfing). A friend told me her baby was startled while feeding and bit her hard enough to require a course of antibiotics. Shock I think he's teething again, he was up a record 5 times last night.

Borg - I could do Edinburgh. Grin

jane - 3 weeks! I can't believe it. Your FIL is such a wanker.

reastie - I don't think the cup is recommended with a coil.

hubbard - hope Tom is ok and it's something really simple.

reastie · 28/10/2011 13:20

Hope you're enjoying the meet up Envy Envy . I can't wait to see piccies - put them straight up please ladies. For those of us who are still here and wallowing in misery at not being able to go, I've added a couple of profile pics from our christening outfit for alice trying on morning I had at Mums - we now have made our choice Grin .

hubbard how did the tests go?

american drat and double drat re: coil and Shock re: your friends Lo making her need antibiotics

four4 you're all staying in the camper van too? Sounds tight for space!

Oh, forgot to say - I went to visit my Granny yesterday and every time I go I get accosted by the same old lady roaming the corridor who always sticks her dirty fingers on alices mouth Shock [pfb] . Anyway, yesterday I got told she looked like a 'fat little baby girl' Angry

wigglesrock · 28/10/2011 14:12

Four4Me Grin I hate going to things that require so much hassle and you're not actually sure if you could be bothered in the first place. At least you'll have fun at the hen night with your sister.

reastie the outfits are gorgeous, really beautiful. reastie fat babies = healthy babies in old lady parlance, take it as a compliment Grin

Well thats Olivia off school for a week and a day Hmm and I also got a phonecall "inviting" her for her pre-school (age 4) vaccinations, oh joy and the week I go back to work too. Although she had a lovely morning at school, they all sang to her, had a party (for Halloween, not just her Grin), and she got a lovely book/puzzle/model making kit as a present from school.

Sofia is at the school Halloween disco Grin and then she's off as well. They have a list of things they want to do next week, rain better stay away!
