Hello everyone!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Emski76 · 20/10/2011 20:31

Yuk to Imys squirts!!

Am sooooo jealous of the two meet ups. I'm about two hours from bham so was tempted but think it would be a nightmare with Noah, plus dh is off next week and Ben had friends party that day. Am a bit far from Southern meet up too! Am stamping my feet like a spoiled child!

Sorry for all the poorly babies and the mummies having to clean up all the puke!

It's Bens 4th birthday tomorrow, believe me ladies with first baby, time goes so quickly, hold onto it as much as you can.

Reastie, we're going to ask a friend of ours to take our photos for us. We're going to put a plain sheet over the sofa and floor and all four of us will wear the same colour and try to pose naturally. No way we could pay for a professional, their just so expensive!

Hope everyone's nights are peaceful tonight.

Bledkr · 20/10/2011 20:43

Ah poor pukey Anna,i wonder whats up with her?

Its mighty exciting our little meet up,Ella is so excited at the massive choice of babies and wanted to know if she can pick them all up Grin

I aggree re Kirsty, shes one of the people who makes me feel inadequate at xmas with her stupid home made gifts and decorations-her and reastie that is Grin

Me and dh hate simperers-Jo Whiley,Lorraine Kelly,Edith Bowman and Fern flaming Cotton. Simpering Idiots all of them. Oh yes and my hv who just repeatedly says "she's gorgeous" no matter what you say.
"im a bit worried about her feeding"
"Oh well she's gorgeous isnt she?" in an annoying scouse accent. SHADDUP!

Ill pm my phone no tomorrow cos i cant be arsed now.

wigglesrock · 20/10/2011 20:54

emski white shirt, jeans and bare feet, thats the family photo uniform. I too feel a little foot stampery about the meet ups Grin.

I know, Olivia is 4 Sunday week, she told me today that under no circumstances was I to help her undress/dress. She could do it all herself Sad. Its funny about 18 months ago, I was willing her to grow up and be more independent, now she's streaking ahead (sometimes figuratively and literally Grin) and I just want her to slow down a bit.

Hope Ben has a lovely day.

MizK · 20/10/2011 21:01

Ooh so exciting about the meet up, I think I can come, just OKd it with my Lord and Master (snigger!), think we're all going to go to Brum for the day and he'll take the two older DCs for pizza whilst Cass and I meet everyone :) but wish the whole thread could meet up :(
wiggles boo to Anna being poorly, not nice, hopefully a nice sleep will mend her x
needto sorry to hear about your friend but I'm glad he has friends who take time to fill him with all manner of baked goods!
Urgh ledkr you have namechecked two of my least fave people - Edith Bowman and Fearne Cotton, bleurgh. Can I add Alexa Chung - dresses like a scarecrow with a Chanel habit and stands with her toes gawkily together in the most revoltingly twee manner. Does my bleedin' head in - whew, just had to share.
emski sounds a good plan for your pics, v clever!
deb poor you having to clear up all that poo!
Today I went to a prizegiving thing for DD1 then had lunch with my aunt and her DD who is in the same year and class (we are a weird family!), and she is a trainee nurse. Suffice to say she told me so many horrific stories that I think all nurses should be given big shiny medals. Covered in diamonds. ledkr was it you who is an ex nurse? Or someone else?
Big hellooooo to everybody else..... Off to indulge in the guiltiest of guilty pleasures....watching Jersey Shore with DP...the shame!

Bledkr · 20/10/2011 21:04

wiggs bit of a cliche tho the old jeans and shirt. It would lose its appeal for me cos my gunt looks horrid in jeans Grin I had really expensive ones of me and ella all black and white and naked but i cant even look at them now cos i had black hair and bad skin.
Ive lost a bit more weight but the tummy doth persist.
I wanna go to bed now but Ella has become addicted to the play station oh and there goes Dilly too, bloody dh not back till midnight.

ReastieHorrorShow · 20/10/2011 21:06

I watch Kirstys crafty programme things as a guilty pleasure Blush . She drives me mad as a presenter but I like the craft content of it Wink . She's so frustratingly overexcitable about everything and DH has to hold me down every time she licks her fingers when cooking (the hours I spend telling students not to do that!) but it's nice to see different things she tries as it sometimes gives me ideas for things to do. I also secretly covet her wardrobe.

I was going to suggest meeting next friday for the south meeting too so it's all together on the same day but then I remembered deb couldn't be in 2 places at once!

ILovePonyo · 20/10/2011 21:13

wiggles poor A, what is going on with the pukey babies at the moment?

Happy birthday for Ben tomorrow emski!

deb I had just had my tea when I read the poo comment, eww poor you, has she got an upset stomach?

Agree with the simperers, especially Edith Bowman, and yes to Alexa Chung too, eat something for gods sake!! MizK glad you're coming too :)

ledkr just snorted at 'gunt' Grin Hope dils has settled.

Can I just mention there has been loads of horrible news stories recently, there was a girl in Nottingham who was killed by her partner in front of their little girl, someone who left her son brain damaged from hitting him and lots of other stuff at the moment, I should stop reading the daily mailwebsite really shouldn't I but its a guilty pleasure

Bledkr · 20/10/2011 21:14

mizk I was an rmn-registered mental nurse-apt eh?Didnt have much gore but got beaten up a few times Grin

Oh yes cutesee Alexa Chung all twee and sweet. Id add Joss Stone to that list with her ridiclous bare feet and Vic Bec is on my all time hate list,i hate the example she sets to young girls and when she hung off dave when he had shagged Rebecca Looes i wanted to vomit.

40Weeks · 20/10/2011 21:30

Ah ok see I like Fearne as my guilty plesh is Sleb Juice and she takes all the slagging so well but agreed on all the rest, esp Jo Whiney.

And reastie I live about 10 mins from you and so if there is a meet up, I would have to come and then compare which one was best so def not Friday Grin

I only lost 0.5lbs at SW, gutted. The wine helps Grin

wigglesrock · 20/10/2011 21:46

40Weeks at least its going in the right direction! Jo Whiney is Mr Ws pet hate Grin, don't get him started, he can wax lyrically for about 10 mins about how she irritates him.

ponyo there have been loads of upsetting stories in general at the minute I agree. I have got very upset and angry over the Jo Yates case, so senseless and violent.

Mr W was home a bit late tonight and looked like shite when he came in, turns out he'd been kicked in the head by a 17 year old who they had arrested for domestic abuse against his own mother Sad and it wasn't the first time they'd been called out to him.

ILovePonyo · 20/10/2011 21:52

Ugh wiggles, poor dh and you. What a waste of space I can imagine the lad to be, that may be judgy but I don't care, dv against his own mum and then kicking a policeman in the head is pathetic. Hope he gets done for it?

hubbard86 · 20/10/2011 22:20

am debating whether to come or not next week. Not sure how to get there from new street station.

I've nearly finished all my xmas shopping and have just wrapped another 2 (smug emoticon) only got about 3 left to get.

WeAreBorg · 20/10/2011 22:34

wiggles oh no, how is DH. Agree with ponyo he should get his comeuppance. Hope Anna picks up too, poor thing.

I like Kirstie, sorry, but not keen on the rest of the ladies mentioned if that's any consolation. Fearne's voice makes me feel weird.

emski I'm not near any of the meetups either. They'll all become proper friends in RL and leave us and forget about us [hsad]

debka poor Imy, hope she feels better. You really don't have to tell us all of your poo stories though.

DH keeps reading over my shoulder, very offputting. Night night all

janedoe25 · 21/10/2011 07:27

Morning all, hope the babies are feeling better.

wiggles Shock poor mr wiggles, hope he is ok?

BOOO! to the meet up, do you think you could video link it? Grin Don't worry borg I won't forget about you.

40Weeks · 21/10/2011 09:36

H wiggles poor mr w, hopethe kids get done, what a waste of space

Am currently trying to get stone roses tix, a fruitless task methinks

40Weeks · 21/10/2011 09:36

Oh and deb I can give you a run for your money on poo and vom stories this week [hgrin]

wigglesrock · 21/10/2011 10:39

40Weeks Mr W would be extremely jealous, hope you get the tickets Grin

jane Mr W is fine, he has a strong head Grin, he relaxed last night with a box set of Miranda - such fun for me. He had taken today off anyway to study, so he's mooching about, pretending to look at books in a very 16 year old way!!

Have got hairdressing appt later, in order to make myself more presentable, have taken to wearing a hat all week in order to save my blushes. Absolutely tortured with Anna climbing up on everything and standing, my TV is definitely going to go for a Burton.

Hope everyone has a lovely day Grin

janedoe25 · 21/10/2011 14:44

wiggles Grin at Anna causing you so much trouble! I heart Miranda.

40weeks good luck with the stone roses tickets!

Today i took my bridesmaid dresses into town for alterations and to find shoes for my ds. AIBU to not let her wear 6in stilletos? She is a head and shoulders taller than me (yip im a short arse) and I dont want to look like a tool in the wedding pictures. She went off in a huff because I wouldn't buy her huge heels. I was told this morning that my aunt has disowned me because she didn't get an invite Shock. I am so disappointed and upset about that, my dad is one of 8 and I couldn't possibly invite everyone so we setled on two aunts/uncles from each side of the family.

Bledkr · 21/10/2011 15:03

Oh jane I can understand she's pissed off but disown you?? Seems a tad extreme, have you explained why you had to do that?Has said aunt been any support with Zoe?

wiggs I remember when dh was assualted and he came home in the morning and i though "god he looks quite ugly today!" When he'd had a sleep he told me that he'd actually been punched Blush we never found out what the bloke got btw. I have been assaulted a few times at work, one boy hit me with a plaster cast,i took him straight to hospital and made them put a soft cast on him Grin

dilly is having a growth spurt i think, she s eating loads and sleeping loads too,as long as its on my chest Hmm she did a burp earlier and Ella laughed,so she is now doing fake burping noises to try and make us laugh.Ill get her to teach the babies next Friday. Oh yeah i told dh i was having a mn meet in Brum and he immediately thought it was at night, with no babies,in Broad street Grin I was tempted to just come alone and have anight in a hotel haha.

40Weeks · 21/10/2011 16:30

Oh Jane you poor thing are you close to her? My dad is eldest of 10 and totally understand. We hadn't seen some of them for years and they didn't even reply when invited to my sisters wedding so we didn't bother for my other sis or my wedding and I think they had the right hump. It's your day, people should understand that you can't always invite everyone you'd like

janedoe25 · 21/10/2011 17:03

bledkr she came to Zoe's funeral and the only thing she said to me was "you have put on weight" I mean no shit I only had a baby 10 days previously, there was no how are you or I am sorry. To be honest she is my least favourite aunt. I also had to invite family from my (step)mums side and I don't even have enough money/space to invite any of my family from my mum's side (she died giving birth to me). I am beginning to think it is more hassel than it's worth, my mum and dad are a bit huffy because i had to cut the guest list down.

janedoe25 · 21/10/2011 17:06

The 2 Aunts I invited because I spent most of my childhood with them when my dad past me from pillar to post between them both. Sorry for going off one but I am really saddened about it all.

tadjennyp · 21/10/2011 17:42

I'm so sorry your Aunt is putting you through that, especially as she was not sympathetic or supportive to you when Zoe died. She is not someone you would bother with if she were not your Aunt, is she? Please don't let it cast a shadow over your wedding. It is about you and df making a family unit for you and Zoe and her siblings. Unfortunately most people can't invite everyone they know, like the village weddings I've been to in Cyprus, so you have to choose. You will have a lovely day, I'm sure. We'll all be there in spirit wearing pink for Zoe.

tadjennyp · 21/10/2011 17:52

I hope all babies have got over their sickness bugs and Mikey's much more comfortable with his legs too. E seems to have got over his, thank goodness. I hope MrW's head is ok too.
Envy of the meet-up - hope you have a lovely time together! Photos please.

My parents' birthday parcel arrived yesterday with a fresh supply of Orange clubs! Smile
Anna went on her first field trip with school yesterday on a big yellow school bus to a pumpkin patch! (Apols to American if this makes you a bit homesick). She had a great time.
Hope teatime is going well tonight and you all have a lovely Friday night.

wigglesrock · 21/10/2011 20:07

jane I'm sorry your Aunt is being such a pain in the hole with regards to this - I had this at my wedding and my sister made some difficult decisions at her wedding because it was so small. It is your and dfs day, I know its very easy to say but you hold on to the family that loves you and wants the best for you and the tell anyone else (maybe under your breath Grin) to fuck away off, come on practise it with me "fuck away off".

Your Mum and Dad are just being stressy, it can come across as huffy (well it does in my very shouty family), at the end of the day, they love you and will want you to have the bestest day ever.

tad Annas trip sounds lovely, very autumnal. Have fun with the parcel Grin
