Hello everyone!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Bledkr · 20/10/2011 12:17

not in brum but can drive there in under an hour.
Oh i love Cannon hill park is the cafe on the same site? That would be great for the girls as i prob wont be doing a proper day out this hol due to finances.
How is Friday for everyone? 40 welcome to join us too.

Haha to the Billy bookcase. Ive got one,its been relegated to the spare/ds's room as i wnated a more minimalist look in the lounge so replaced it with a pretentious shabby chic chest.Unfortunately the illusion ends there as its full of dressing up stuff.

Dh and Ella have taken the non sleeping Dilly for a walk, its really cold but sunny here. She has on her new winter hat which is so cute but it had slipped over her face and she was just sat there not crying or anything, just sat there with a hat covering her face. She cracked up when Ella took it off Grin

wigglesrock · 20/10/2011 12:34

ledkr if anyone can show your ds a good example its you, you should be proud that both him and dil can talk to you. Ps the Specials were headlining some nights in Belfast in my sisters bar a few weeks ago. She said they were fab even though she didn't know who they were Blush

40 Anna is so in love with our dog, she keeps trying to eat her paw!!! Mr W said "where's Mummy?" the other day and A looked straight at the dog Shock. Poor old dog has been the obsession of all of the girls at certain times.

Anna is a lot better this morning, although very manky nappies - she is currently asleep in the car and I am sitting in the front seat - gotta love wireless connection Grin

chocoBOO · 20/10/2011 12:53

bledkr Yep, the MAC is in Canon Hill Park - its a big arts centre type place. They might not let you in though as its mainly frequented by the Sophie Set.

am laughing at all the babies and their animal obsessions. So cute. R wil see mum's dog this weekend - I imagine the dog will spend the day cowering in the corner!

Agh. Better run. R has pulled over a lamp which had a Royal Wedding tea towel attatched to it with a magnetic lion. Don't ask.

deadka · 20/10/2011 13:04

Oooo meet up on Friday- I might be able to come!!! We're driving to Tatton on Friday and I was planning to stop somewhere near Birmingham for lunch and a play!!!! Don't really want to go into the centre though, is there anywhere a bit nearer the south that's convenient? If not then don't worry, we'd only stay for an hour or 2 as we've got to get to Cheshire, and it's not worth disrupting plans just for me.

OP posts:
Deliaskis · 20/10/2011 13:12

Oooh Deadka you're coming to Tatton this weekend? I am sitting at my desk wondering whether to go for a quick walk in Tatton Park for 10 minutes right now! Do you have family up here? [Have we had this conversation before? We're probably coming back to Knutsford tomorrow as it's the Food & Drink festival this weekend and it was v good last year.

D

chocoBOO · 20/10/2011 13:20

Oooh deadka This could turn into an actual thread meet up! Canon Hill Park is South of the centre but I guess still central. I'm trying to think of anywhere else that is further south but maybe you could google and see of Canon Hill is doable?

deadka · 20/10/2011 13:20

No- next weekend. DH does 5 shows a year there. He's at Hagley Hall this weekend and we're staying at home. Go for your walk- it's beautiful there! V Envy at you going to the Food and Drink festival in Knutsford.

OP posts:
deadka · 20/10/2011 13:26

choc had a google and I reckon I could go out of my way and do it!!! Woohoo!! I'll be there about lunchtime and take a picnic (and my mum, sorry, she's coming to help out at the show), does that suit everyone else?

OP posts:
chocoBOO · 20/10/2011 13:27

That would work perfectly for me (but then it is only 2 miles from my house!).

Whoop! Actual meet up alert!

ReastieHorrorShow · 20/10/2011 14:39

Envy to meet up. That is all I have to say.

Envy Envy
janedoe25 · 20/10/2011 14:40

I am so Envy you are all meeting! Do you not fancy comming up to Glasgow?

Sorry to hear of all the sicky babies Sad

ledkr sorry to hear about your ds break-up. You now have a live in babysitter though Grin.

I have not been doing anything worth writing about, hope you all have a good day.

Bledkr · 20/10/2011 14:53

So is it still cannon hill?? I know the cafe i think is it just past the play area that has endless bridges? Ill only do a picnic if its nice,if not it will be food there,i expect its all vegan organic isnt it?
I can get there for lunchtime about 12? Where shall we meet?

Damn, its taken all day to get dilys to sleep and now i have to go out to the hospital Hmm

40Weeks · 20/10/2011 16:39

I reckon I would b about 1.5 hours from Moseley, so of I go to my sisters will try and make it too!

Mikey been to docs as is vomiting everything he eats. Got diaoralyte for, poor bugger. It's gross.

Goth first parents eve tonight!

40Weeks · 20/10/2011 16:45

got 1st parents eve.

Is not parents eve exclusively for goth parents

chocoBOO · 20/10/2011 16:49

40 That would be awesome! And poor Mikey. Ood luck with parents eve!

bledkr Cannon Hill sounds like its go. Shall we say 12noon outside the MAC (that's the cafe thing and yep you have the right one). There are tables outside there (unless it's raining). Will do picnic if it's nice otherwise itllbe vegan organic big slices of carrot cake for us too. If people need directions etc then a good tip is to head for Edgbaston Cricket Ground as the car park entrance is just by there.

reastie and jane Cone and play.....it's not that far....Hmm

I've dropped R off at PIL so am enjoying mooching and doing my hair etc. v excited about an evening out!

Bledkr · 20/10/2011 18:20

How exciting,i can hardly believe it. Cone and play yes Hmm
40 love the goth parents evening, can imagine all the black clothes and eyeliner.

Dills has just scoffed a massive cauli cheese,i may be imagining it but im sure she came crwaling into the kitchen saying mmmmm and crying then looked chuffed when i put her in her highchair Confused

ReastieHorrorShow · 20/10/2011 18:26

Right, so who's going to be the official photographer for the meet up so those of us who can't make it ( Angry ) can see all the babies (and mummies) together?

40 enjoy your goth parents evening Wink Hope Mikey feels better soon.

We now are the proud owners of the ikea highchair. Should have listened to wiggles all along - tis much better fit than our expensive wooden one Hmm

I'm wondering whether to get professional photo done of alice for me dhs christmas pressie. borg how much did yours cost? I've found a good looking photographer (the photos not the man Wink ) but it's £40 for the session and £12 per piccie. I know you can get free sessions and just pay per photo but tbh when I see the photos they really arn't as good.

Did another walk today Grin and discovered a great footpath that goes right next to the back gardens of a posh new private housing estate full of posh homes so I could have a great nose Blush Wink

NeedToCreepZZZ · 20/10/2011 18:56

Harumph and Envy Envy Envy to the big meet up! Will demand photos!

reastie, fancy meeting up (and anyone else dahn sawf) before Christmas? Not sure about the photo thing as they are expensive (especially the good looking onesWink) but would be great if you could find one doing a special deal.

40so sorry about mikey, poor little man. Is he interested in food at all now? Must be so worrying when he can't keep anything down Sad

Have done my domestic goddess turn for the month in making a lovely dinner and about to bake lemon drizzle cake for me a friend tomorrow.

No, I really haven't been to ikea! Have no idea what a Billy bookcase is? Confused I obviously need to get out more as my house is furnished almost completely with stuff from the local second hand yard and no, I'm not some Kirsty allsop wannabe, I strongly dislike her Grin, it's just a matter of money!

WeAreBorg · 20/10/2011 19:20

So not fair, I want to come to the meet up! Yes lots of photos.

40 poor Mikey, hope it's a short lived thing, good luck with the dioralyte.

needto you sound incredibly chic with your vintage furnishings. I can never find any bargains, refer to comments below

reastie the photoshoot was free but I have to spend £300 on framed prints to be able to get the actual photos. Better option may be to have just bought a really good camera....

ReastieHorrorShow · 20/10/2011 19:34

borg I do have a really good camera I just don't know how to use it . Maybe I'll skip that idea Hmm

needto defo up for another meet up prechristmas. After chrimbo it'll be harder as I'll be back at work :( . nom nom to cake. I made christmas biscuits last week end (never too early Grin )

Btw I can confirm that IMO needto has a lovely furnished home. I came home feeling quite Envy of how nice everything looked when I can never get things looking right.

ILovePonyo · 20/10/2011 19:52

Evening!

Well I am inviting myself to this meet up Grin Tough luck ladies I will be there too (hopefully!) MizK are you coming too?

I have been and stocked up on plug in humidifier, nasal spray and tissues for snotty baby, poor thing I am really hoping for a better night tonight

Meant to say earlier thanks for the IANBU's, made me feel a bit less petty :)

40 poor M, hope he gets better soon, must be horrible for him and you :(

reastie I love nosying at posh houses Grin rightmove is great for that haha.

Back later, I keep reading and running Blush

wigglesrock · 20/10/2011 19:53

NeedTo I don't like Kirstie Allsop either - simpering landed gentry Grin.

reastie I was going to say that the free photoshoots usually result in very expensive prints but Borg beat me to it Grin Tbh I usually take really good photos of other people, but my camera isn't dear, my secret - take them in black and white.

I am officially not talking to anyone going on the meet up Grin Envy

40 how's Mikey, Anna was great all day, better than she's been in a while, even deigned to eat some dinner, had bedtime bottle and just hurled it everywhere. Thank you God for wooden floors, I'm a bad Mummy, I knew it was coming and held her away from me over the floor. She didn't cry and is asleep now Hmm

deadka · 20/10/2011 20:13

OMG I am sooooooo excited- can't believe you're all having a meet up on the ONE DAY I'll have some time to kill in Birmingham! I might be a bit later than 12 so DON'T GO HOME ANYONE!! Got a fair drive to get to you. [committed] We ought to pm each other our mobile numbers so when if I anyone gets lost it's ok.

reastie and needto can I come to your southern belles meet up too?

Reached a new low with potty training today, Imy's got the squits and I had to scrape diarrhoea off her legs and bin her knickers 4 times today.

OP posts:
ReastieHorrorShow · 20/10/2011 20:20

deb you can only come if you promise not to tell the others how obviously superior our meeting will be so they don't get Envy

wiggles fancy coming here and doing some photos for me? I'll pay you a pittance Wink it's true though - black and white does always make things look better and classier

oh deb Shock to the potty training. Yuck.

wiggles hope A is back on foods with more success soon

NeedToCreepZZZ · 20/10/2011 20:23

Ha ha ha ha at vintage furnishings.... Thank you reastie but it's really a case of buying the cheapest thing and painting it White Grin
wiggles I find kirsty really patronising, as if the poor little millionaire has ever had to buy things from a second hand shop Angry, then suddenly making your own is tres chic!

reastie I'm very impressed with your Christmas biscuits and I think you'd be proud of my cake because it's one of Mary berry's, hope my friend likes it tomorrow, he's in a hospice now and pretty near the end so has decided to eat everything that's bad for you Grin, I like his attitude!

Borg whereabouts are you? If you're down this way (Sussex and Kent) then come join reastie and me Smile
