Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
40Weeks · 19/10/2011 22:43

Ah bledkr you popcorn tease

wigglesrock · 19/10/2011 22:58

40 Anna woke up about 30 mins ago, coughed violently, sounded really hoarse then threw up Sad.

Haven't missed that much Grin, reastie very kindly remembered something funny Olivia had said last Christmas and asked if I wanted to contact a magazine who were doing a "kids say the funniest things" type Christmas thing and they might print it. I'm scundered to say I'm not sure what the magazine is called - its one of those Parenting ones that I'm afraid of incase I feel a tad inadequate Grin, I usually go for Heat, at least I know I'm a better mum than Kerry Katona!

bledkr John Legend [sigh]

40Weeks · 19/10/2011 23:01

Ah baby cheeses and baby Jesus?

Bledkr · 19/10/2011 23:04

Ah,poor Mikey, hes a tolerant little thing isnt he? Dilly would have had a fit Shock

ems thanks ill pm my address. Did you like the Kevin book?I was shocked at the end and also couldnt decide if she had caused his problems or vice versa. Im expecting good things from the film.

I dont think popcorn is very sinfull if salted or is that wrong?

Right off to bed.I cant wait untill a few years when i can pretty much guarantee a good kip. Im seriously considering one of needtos dh massive babygros cos its not fun getting up in the night now its brass monkeys Grin

Bledkr · 19/10/2011 23:08

wiggs we have the same taste in men do we not? My Mum still cant believe i didnt marry a black man. You'd have died if you had met the guy i was seeing before dh-yum yum-think Idris but with dreads. I just didnt fancy him enough tho,i may have told you before but he stayed here once and ut an asda carrier on his head to have a shower. It was as they say a defining moment Grin I had to tell im it wasnt him it was me Hmm

wigglesrock · 19/10/2011 23:20

I know bledkr, could you imagine the damage we'd cause if we were single Grin I don't think popcorn is that bad either.

40Weeks bingo!

Anna is back asleep, although very jumpy. Time for bed - night night

40Weeks · 20/10/2011 07:49

How is Anna this morning wiggles? Mikey seems ok, he was so good bless him, we had to get him up and shower off the puke and he didn't utter a word.

ledkr would you have felt different if it had been a Waitrose carrier bag? Wink what's wrong with a good old fashion shower cap anyway!?!?

Morning everyone else, hope you got some kip

ILovePonyo · 20/10/2011 07:54

Grin at you lot, ledkr you have reminded me that when dp used to have dreads, if we went swimming he used to pile them right up on top of his head so it looked like he had a dreadlock turban Grin

I think A has a cold, she is all snotty and snuffly and was awake loads again last night, she'd go back to sleep and then be crying again 10 mins later, any advice on snotty babies very welcome! She seems fine now, just at night time she prob can't breathe very well :(

reastie 'oh' to your diet, erm yes somewhat restricitve then Shock Good job you're a whizz in the kitchen!

Better go A is crying crawling at the same time Hmm

ReastieHorrorShow · 20/10/2011 08:17

quick q to those with an ikea high chair - we might go to ikea today - which dept do they sell the highchair in (ie is it kitchen/toy/marketplace/the warehouse etc)? Don't want to traipse through the whole place hunting for it

Bledkr · 20/10/2011 08:25

Haha. I think it wasnt just the brand of bag 40 it was also the generic trainers and the vile slippers he bought down to wear Hmm He also informed me how he liked his food and asked if i wanted to go and see Lenny Henry in concert? Its weird when the chemistry just isnt there despite it all. When i met dh i was demented after a few hours and he was too-mind you ive never seen him with a bag on his head to be fair Grin
ponyo His dreads had a certain aroma to them as well eu de urine if i recall rightly Grin
Dilly cries and crawls too i think she cant get alomg fast enough. She has been hiding behind the sofa and then peeping round for me to say boo.I think we did it a thousand times before i drew the line.
I love her today cos she slept 8-7,i had high hopes cos she ate so much. I however did not sleep well as have pmt related insomnia, the only symptoms prozac cant cure. Ill bosh a sleeping tab tonight cos dh is off Fri so can see to her if she wakes.
Pil this weekend ladies.I hope you are excited.I am yet to inform them that they will be on a blow up bed cos ds is in the spare room.

NeedToCreepZZZ · 20/10/2011 08:40

Morning all,

Sad to all the poorly babies, b has a cold and is suffering poor little thing.

deb such good news about your mum! And your weight loss, wow! You have inspired me to get my bum in gear.

ledkr it is NOT my babygro, it is OH's Angry. must be strange having ds back but in a good way i hope! Can't believe you missed the chance to see the specials, I love them! Can't see we need to talk about Kevin yet as none of the cinemas around here are showing it yet so very Envy

reastie I like your new plan! Wrap up warm and lots of walking, it's the best way to improve your mood and get exercise I've found. Good luck today with your highchair hunting, sorry I cant be of any help but I've never been to ikea Shock

wiggles I agree with the heat reading making you feel superior as a mum! I hope a is feeling better this morning.

Hope you all have a lovely day today, soooo cold but at least the sun is out down here x

Deliaskis · 20/10/2011 09:11

reastie in ours, the high chair was in the baby furniture bit, so near to cots, baby bed linen, nursery storage boxes etc.

40 poor Mikey that is exactly what happened to C on Tuesday night, she wasn't even properly awake, just kind of half asleep but whimpering in a 'something is really not quite right' kind of way. Bless, had to give her a babywipebath and clean everything. She was so tired and fed up. It only happened the once though and she hasn't had any other pukey tummy things, so I think it was just all the snot all on her chest and in her throat [grim].

On the upside, she slept 13 hours straight through without a peep last night and is really chirpy this morning, so hopefully we are seeing the back of it (again!).

Ponyo YANBU

everybody else stop talking about Kevin.

deadka · 20/10/2011 09:20

I'm feeling poorly again today so have much sympathy for poorly babies! Imy's at my aunt's (hallelujah), S is in bed and I have my feet up in the warm with a cup of coffee.

S woke last night about midnight and had a cry- I went in and gave her some nurofen, laid her back down, then she slept in till SEVEN, first time I've slept past 6 for weeks.

Ooo just saw on the news that Carla Bruni's had a baby girl, bet she doesn't have to do SW Envy Grin

ledkr looking forward to pil shenanigans Grin

reastie I think they're in the chair section, but if you go to Lakeside the baby bit is just by the cafe so you could always just have a quick nosy in there first, I'd come and join you but you'd get the lurgy too Sad

Just googled Katy B but still none the wiser [old gimmer]

ds is no trouble actually and cos the baby came when he was so long had to leave home at 18 so ive not had much time with him really.I spoke to dil on the phone last night and she is really sad,its hard for me cos i so remember what it feels like.I love her like a dd/close friend so its horrible. She asked me questions about what he has said/acted and i couldnt really answer. In the long run its for the best,he just isnt ready to be who she wants although he will continue to be a good Dad-can you imagine me allowing otherwise.

Bledkr · 20/10/2011 09:35

so young not long Hmm

chocoBOO · 20/10/2011 10:40

Morning!

Have two mins while catching up with TOWIE so thought I'd pop on say hello!

bledkr How'a having DS home? I hope you can delegate some childcare. I hope their split is amicable, must be horrid for you otherwise. Oh, and showing your age much with your Specials gig?! Grin

My phone wont show me all your posts so I can't respond too well but mizk I hope the fashion police aren't out at the Ash gig tonight! deb and wiggles and anyone else who's feeling pants, please don't send it down the computer, I just sneezed 6 times but I don't want to be sick!

Ok, so those of us on board for a meet up - when is good?

40Weeks · 20/10/2011 11:05

Ah poor dil ledkr that must be a tricky situation for you

Delia is C ok now? Mikey WAS ok and we had a code brown as we were about to leave for school, changed him and as he sat up puked EVERYWHERE! more bloody washing

Poor deadka hope you get some rest today

needto I simply cannot believe you have never been to Ikea!!! Madness

Mikey keeps crawling to the cat and sobbing when she runs off, really mad cries, it's hilarious

Poor A ponyo tell her M says hi she has his sympathies Sad

Bledkr · 20/10/2011 11:07

choc Wheras "Ash" are very cool and current Grin not just me you know.
Ill have you know i was a very trendy ska fan back in the day.
Towie was funny last night but poor Lauren.
We are watching the dale farm eviction, the only people being arrested are the trouble makers not the travellers. Idiots. "GET A jOB YOU LOSERS"

Bledkr · 20/10/2011 11:13

Right-meet up. I can probably do Tues thurs or friday next week.I Brum easier than Solihul as closewr for me.Is there anywhere baby friendly?Ella will be on hand to help she will be in her eliment.
Dilly is refusing to sleep apart from on us,its doing my head in just zings awake when you put her down, any advice?

chocoBOO · 20/10/2011 11:29

bledkr Ah, yes. Well you've got me there!

In terms of meet up, I think Thurs or Fri would work best for me. DP is on holiday but he won't mind an hour to himself! I might be able to do Tues but may be in London. In Birmingham there's a soft play which could work - it's in Kings Heath so not central. Or there's the Mac which has a massive baby friendly cafe and is in Canon Hill Park so we could trot round there is its a nice day. There's also the Nature Centre there as well which has monkeys!

Otherwise, there's always the Bullring - we could take over a coffee shop in there.

chocoBOO · 20/10/2011 11:32

Oh 40 I so wish we had an animal for R to chase! I just Skyped my best mate in NZ and Romilly was trying to stroke her cat through the screen. So cute!

And needto I don't understand how you have never been to Ikea? Have you no Billy bookcases at all?!

Deliaskis · 20/10/2011 11:32

40 C only threw up the once in bed, and then was just a bit subdued and pooey yesterday, and seems fine today.

40Weeks · 20/10/2011 11:46

Ah that's ok then Delia glad she's alright. Mikey is currently asleep in the push chair as it keeps him upright.

ledkr how come your in Brum next week? I am of to Gloucestershire next Thurs/fri! Visiting my sis in Stroud

Am just cooking up a nice SW minestrone soup, am starving! it smells gooood.

Oh choc that's too cute bout the cat on skype!

Deliaskis · 20/10/2011 11:50

Should have said though 40 (and I did in fact think it!), poor Mikey and hope he gets better soon. I really feel so sorry for C when she's poorly (although sometimes she doesn't seem to care and has in fact giggled after vomiting in the past!).
