Hello everyone!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
wigglesrock · 19/10/2011 14:20

x-posted with D, who as always says things exactly how I meant to say them Grin

A spent a few hours on her own with my Mum earlier, was in good enough form but won't bloody eat. Mr W has taken her to his Mums to say hello, I will be really worried if she doesn't manage at least 1 custard cream whilst there Grin

wigglesrock · 19/10/2011 14:22

Aaggh x posting queen now Grin, hello deadka, get those Lemsips into you Grin

Deliaskis · 19/10/2011 15:10

Hey wiggles relieved you liked what I wrote to reastie as I was beginning to think I sounded a bit stalkerish actually.

ReastieHorrorShow · 19/10/2011 15:55

thanks guys. d you're not stalkerish at all, so fear not. I've booked a one on one session with the ff group session leader on mon to try and go through some food ideas as i have a really limited diet anyway. hopefully that will help. I might do that instead of ff as she says i can have regular sessions and can take alice with me Grin . I've found a basic aerobics class I might try too.

deb hope you feel better soon. I'm thinking of going to ikea tomorrow maybe

wigs has a custard cream been consumed?

ledkr i agree re adults should have chairs and children go on floor

d poor c - she's been really poorly since nursery hasn't she? just think of all that resistance to germs she's building

ponyo you still awake?!

Deliaskis · 19/10/2011 16:14

Yes reastie the resistance, the resistance, twill all be worth it.

This is the third bout of nastiness she has had in 9 weeks Sad.

Bledkr · 19/10/2011 17:38

reastie I may go against the grain a tad as i know how much losing weight makes me feel better even if just a few pounds.I know you have done sw before but why not give it a go.I had scrambled eggs an smoked salmon for breakfats then pasta for lunch and yummy cottage pie and veg for dinner.with you being a cook im sure you could make some lush stuff and save syns for a treat like deb?FF didnt sound too good btw,i dont do groups i just got the book online.

Excercise will make you feel better too,i started when ex left me,it was my saving grace.

Also if you are depressed its hardly the best time to be doing anything different at all

Well Dilly has another tooth. Its atop one and its massive, god knows how i misse3d that but it explains why the nights restarted. She just ate my cottage pie and carrots and then a whole petit filous.

I have my ds1 back home Hmm him and dil have split for good i think, its sad but they just cant get on,she wants him to do family things all the time and he wants to see his mates and go to the gym,he was only 18 when she got pg so not had much life. They are both unhappy.Ive given him a big lecture on how to conduct himself over the coming weeks, its hard cos im very close to her too but am giving her a bit of space for a bit.

DH has been on the pc ALL DAY.I just dished up dinner and sat and ate it watching coach trip, didnt even tell the berk Grin hes just noticed and is warming his up Hmm Hes watching footy tonight and me and Ella are doing dvd and popcorn-slimming world popcorn that is Confused

Emski76 · 19/10/2011 19:18

Hi all, just had a quick read before I pig out again, saw my thighs in the mirror earlier and v depressed now so figure a box of choc fingers will help!
Led, sorry and your ds and dil, sad news, but from what you said it sounds like its for the best. I think your advice to Reastie is good. I def feel better when I'm doing something positive for myself. Dh and I are treating ourselves to a rowing machine for an early Xmas pressie and I can't wait to start going on it, I know it will make me feel so much happier.
Led, love that dh didn't know his tea was ready! Hehe!

Deb, fab news about your mum, I'm do relieved for you. Well done on your weight loss too, amazing!

Hi to everyone else, sorry if I've missed anything major.

40Weeks · 19/10/2011 19:20

Hi everyone

How are you all? Haven't been on for ages as every time I go to catch up, RL gets in the way. How rude! Boys are all sick, bunged up and coughing, some intermittent vomiting Sad

Had a quick skim read, Hubbard hope you're ok, it's perfectly natural to feel and these things, so sorry you have to bottle it up, glad you can vent on here.

deb brill news on SW and for your mum, what a weight off your mind

reastie hope you are ok too, sorry things are so tough at the mo

Hello everyone else I am sorry this isn't a very exciting post but thought if I didn't post soon you would forget who I was!

Name changed back as I couldn't see anyones photos

40Weeks · 19/10/2011 19:22

Ooh ledkr how do you make SW popcorn

And sorry about ds and dil too, hope he is ok. Better to be happy

40Weeks · 19/10/2011 19:23

Sorry, better to be happy alone than miserable with someone else

ILovePonyo · 19/10/2011 19:24

reastie I am still awake (just). Sorry I saw that you were feeling abit rubbish about things but don't think I said anything, good advice from everyone as usual, don't think I can add much but just wondered how limited your diet is? Is there a lot of stuff you can have or can you use substitutes ( am thinking dairy etc).

ledkr I did Grin at the use of the word 'berk', heehee. I've still not had the opportunity to use 'monkey with a puzzle' yet, how annoying, dp is clearly more capable than I think. Yikes to you having your ds back, how old is he? Oh and Shock at the tooth, we need pics soon!

delia poor C, I think I'll have it all to come when A starts at nursery, I know its good in the long run but it must be horrible right now! Same to anyone else with a poorly baby (wiggles) :(

deb buffet for 17?! I don't know how you manage it. Hope you've managed to get your feet up for a bit anyway and don't feel too ill.

I have an AIBU for you, I am a bit fecked off as my plan for today was for friend to come over, have a walk and cuppa and chat, lovely. She texted me to say she would be over for lunch, then it was an hour later, then when she got here she couldn't stay long so we ended up having a quick brew and that was it. I felt a bit annoyed but think I am being unreasonable reading that back but feel like A and I have been stuck in all day (went out for a quick stroll after friend had left) - friend doesn't have children so probably didn't realise what it can be like!

Hope everyone has a good night, reastie how is cc going?

ILovePonyo · 19/10/2011 19:25

x post emski and 40

Grannyapple · 19/10/2011 20:27

Hi ladies...well N's nursery session got cancelled today so now moved to tomorrow afternoon.

Question tho ladies... When the nursery came out to the house on Monday, they mentioned that there had been a few cases of both hand foot & mouth, as well as chicken pox Sad....I figure it's enviable that N will pick something up when he starts anyway ( as delia will testify!), but do you think I should keep him from going in this week? Just worried he catches it & then he can't go in for 1 week...not ideal for starting back on the 1st nov Hmm

Grannyapple · 19/10/2011 20:28

Grrr...still not used to this phone inevitable, not enviable!

wigglesrock · 19/10/2011 21:12

Grannyapple I'd be tempted to keep to your original arrangements. To be honest N might catch something when you are out and about anyway and he might start nursery and catch absolutely nothing. Sofia was never particularly bothered by illnesses when she was at creche and even now most of the school illnesses pass her by (touch wood Grin).

Ponyo I don't think you are being particularly unreasonable. I don't mind arrangements being cancelled but I have to have some notice Grin

MizK · 19/10/2011 21:17

Hi ladies, ooh its cold out isnt it!
granny my cousin and sis have both had hand foot and mouth v recently, and from what I gather it can be a bit horrid in babies (my cousin is 18 months). However, as you say, when he does go in he will be exposed to everything going, one of the joys of nursery/school we all have to look forward to. I would probably say go with the planned visits and take your chances, if you do please don't kill me if he catches anything! The way I think is that if you kept them away from potential germ hot spots you would never be able to go anywhere....!
reastie I think that obv the weight thing could be a factor in you feeling rubbish, if you are not feeling good about yourself then its another reason to be sad, but maybe as ledkr said, exercise and good fresh foods could be a good way to help to lift your spirits?
40 sorry your babies are sick :(
deb yay about your mum, and that weight loss is seriously impressive! Gold star to you lady!
ledkr whoop to top tooth, check out Dilly! Sorry to hear about your DS, hope that things work themselves out so at least they can get along? And btw totally agree about people letting their children hog seats, I always think I'm the only one who gets cross about that type of thing...Oh and I may pop along to Brum if you guys do a meet up depending on when it is, its only an hour away and I think it would be good times!

Katy B gig last night was good, her voice is fantastic live. Saw some total states so was playing Fashion Police AKA being a judgey bitch about peoples outfits! On a downside, I swear I have been continually eating since I got up today, I don't know what's wrong with me! I have these days where I swear I just eat like a total heifer, I actually feel quite guilty.... yet I still will probably squeeze in a biscuit or two when I have a cup of tea in a sec :)

MizK · 19/10/2011 21:19

x-post - the oracle wiggles agrees with me re nursery granny = its a sign you should send him!

wigglesrock · 19/10/2011 21:20

Grin MizK - its feckin' Baltic here Shock

ReastieHorrorShow · 19/10/2011 21:39

ponyo tbh I would be the same as you re: your friend and getting annoyed, so from that perspective YANBU, but on the same token I think people without children just have no clue about these things so she prob didn't realise the cabin fever with baby syndrome we get, so you sort of ABU at the same time as I don't think she meant it. Hope that makes sense - it's late for me now don't you know Wink

ledkr sorry about ds. Must be really odd to have him home. Let's hope he's better at cleaning up after himself than dh Grin

mizk glad you had a nice time. I still have no idea who katy b is though Blush

40 :( to ill little ones. Infact big Sad to all the ill babies. How is Mikey now? Does he still have bandages?

wiggles keep forgetting to ask you if you ever heard anything re: the baby cheeses?

Thanks for mama ledks advice there re: ff. I've decided to try really hard to do at least a walk (or similar) every day with alice and eat more good stuff. Had an excercise class at ff and then had a walk this afternoon and been chomping lots of yummy raspberries. I've taken the pressure off myself losing weight and feel oddly liberated and somehow I'm working harder on it than when I was working on it Hmm . Maybe it's reverse psychology or something Confused .

ponyo my restricted diet? Are you sure you want to know? I'm veggie, have a gluten intolerance (so no normal bread/pasta etc), can't eat certain foods due to IBS so no lentils, beans, and certain veggies like cauliflower, parsnip, broccoli, cabbage, etc. Oh, and I have really sensitive teeth so can't eat fruit that's too acidic Shock . I'm not sure how restrictive that sounds????

wigglesrock · 19/10/2011 21:42

reastie think we'll be in December issue, but not taking out a subscription just yet Grin

ReastieHorrorShow · 19/10/2011 21:57
Bledkr · 19/10/2011 22:19

Katy B is good even tho im old. I saw Kanye West a few yrs ago at the nia. We were right at the front then just as he started a load of black guys who were about 10ft tall pushed to the front and we couldnt see Angry they were smoking herbal cigarettes Hmm and kept standing on our feet, big bullys. My friend put one of their lighted joint butts into the hood of one of the jackets Grin i cant take her anywhere. It was good tho,Jon legend was supporting.
When we left there were police everywhere cos someone had been shot Shock
Wanted to see the specials on Monday but the only tickets left are wheelchair plus free carer.I was thinking of borrowing my nans chair and doing an Andy and Lou.

Eating loads today too,i even scoffed a big chunk of crusty bread whilst waiting for the popcorn to pop.
Btw 40 i was joking about it being sw,i wish.

Watching Towie. "are goats called goats cos of their goatie beards?" possibly the funniest thing ive ever heard.

Bledkr · 19/10/2011 22:25

Thanks for the words re ds. He is actually the best one of the 3 to have home,he's a chef and a Dad.hes already cooked,re organised the fridge (whilst mumbling about food hygiene) and is babysitting on Friday so we can go and see "we need to talk about Kevin" Me and dh read the book its amazing. Who is it i have to send my address to for a book i cant remember sorry Blush

Emski76 · 19/10/2011 22:37

40Weeks · 19/10/2011 22:41

Ooh what have I missed wiggles??

Just went to kiss Mikey goodnight and his cot was covered in puke! He wa fast asleep bless him, the exact same thing happened with Thomas last night! Not sure if it's viral or if the build up of cough/cold has madethem sick because it's lying on their chests iykwim

His bandages are off now reastie thanks for asking just tubi grips things with lots of cream 4 times a day. Poor little lamb
