Hello everyone!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
WeAreBorg · 15/10/2011 20:15

deadka will be thinking of you on Tues. I have to attend court then (don't worry, I haven't murdered anyone. Not on purpose anyway), so will be a bit preoccupied next week. Also have a job interview but not really sure I want it. Will be nice when next week is over TBH.

reastie oh that's nice you like my posts, I like yours too. I'm feeling the pressure, nothing funny happened today!
I think you look lovely in both dresses, you're very pretty and have fantastic boobage. I prefer you in the purple one just because I think it's very flattering to your shape and looks nice with your hair colour.

sorry have to go, N refusing to sleep and whining.....want to get to my glass of wine and watch Thor

wigglesrock · 15/10/2011 21:00

reastie I also like both dresses [splinters up my bum from sitting on fence], I have a very similar dress to the maxi one and it is really comfy and exceptionally flattering but very long. I sometimes wear a camisole/vest underneath it to avoid giving my friends a heart attack Grin

debka fingers crossed for Tue, hope it is all good news and if you need us we are all here for you and your Mum xx It sounds like Asda lady comes from somewhere near me, I always think Mr W sounds a bit posh but I only notice it in his phone voice Grin

NeedToCreep Grin at your Mum, it reminds me of an AIBU thread a while back where someone felt it was a tad inconsiderate of a police officer to put the sirens on while a newborn was coming out of the hospital.

WeAreBorg hope this coming week goes well for you, I hate weeks like that where you can't wait to get past them, this time next week it'll all be done xxx

ledkr Hope your birthday treat was a good one [phnar phnar]

Trying to watch the X factor but can't really get into it Hmm. My aunt (yes that one Grin) is taking S & O to Disney on Ice tomorrow, I'm not sure which of the 3 of them is more excited!!

ReastieHorrorShow · 15/10/2011 21:52

hola ladies,

Thank you much for the dress feedback. I was originally going to go for the patterny one but I'm now favouring the maxi one as it's comfier and I think I feel more confident in it. I think jane is right, it is dressy, but I hope think I can get away with it given it's my dds christening. I also think it looks a bit more classic so won't look (hopefully) too dated so I'll cringe alot when I look back on the pictures unlike my mum who had an awful dress on for my christening

wiggles yes if I wore the long dress I would defo have a top on under to cover my modesty and not flash my bra Shock Grin

Went to John Lewis today and DH got a new laptop. I was trying my best to talk dh into how much really we needed one of those mac pc things with the flat screen and wireless keyboard but he was having none of it so he came out with a cheapy one he was right really

needto Grin to your mum, Can I secretly admit DH and I would both be the same as your mum - we are such pfbers Grin

ledkr I can't wait to hear what this secret thing involving trainers is. I hope for your sake it's something you enjoy. I have been thinking all day what it might be. I like the paintball idea Grin

deb you realise you might have to keep testing that alcoholic beverage just to make sure it is developing the flavours you wish. Quality control purposes only of course Wink

janedoe25 · 15/10/2011 22:01

reastie I Love the purple maxi dress!

[thank] emski and wiggles (i seen your post on the chat thread) I'm sure Zoe bear seen the twinkling lights xxx.

NeedToCreepZZZ · 16/10/2011 15:56

hello????

Smile
ReastieHorrorShow · 16/10/2011 19:09

where is everyone???

I'm awaiting an update from ledkr as to what she got up to this week end

Emski76 · 16/10/2011 19:20

I'm here, hi guys!
We've been out all day today, it was Bens Halloween themed birthday party at in laws today. We had a fab time and Ben had heaps of lovely presents, he is so loved by all of dh's family, it's so fab to see. The only downside was mil overreaction whenever Noah moved anywhere, her trying to get him to sleep when I told her he wasn't tired, oh and dh grandparents giving Noah beer! I was too shocked to say anything, dh was too!

Ben is sleeping at in laws tonight, Noah's in bed so im sat watching tv and eating chocolate fingers. Bens clever dick Godfather bought Ben a yard of choc fingers, knowing that I would eat them! Think of the bonus Chocoroo!

Yes, I want to know about Ledkrs birthday weekend!

NeedToCreepZZZ · 16/10/2011 19:32

Hello there reastie and emski!

I want a ledkr update too Grin

ems, sounds like Ben had a fab time and am a bit Envy of your chocolate fingers as have major pmt today! Shockat gps trying to give Noah beer! Is it one of those things our gps did to make us sleep I wonder?

Now waiting for xf to see who gets the chop, my money's on nu vibe but that frankie is TERRIBLE!

deadka · 16/10/2011 19:59

Hello (hello hello hello)

Ah hi reastie!!

Been out all day today, meant to tell you it was happening but forgot. Was my stepmum's 70th birthday celebration at a 'Child Friendly' pub restaurant. I put child friendly in quote marks because it is the only pub I have had to take my own highchair and food to! Was bloody dreading it but it was actually ok, mostly thanks to my stunning organisational skills, and the fact the girls slept on the way there (fecking miles away). Food was good though, and I was very righteous and gave my pudding to Sabine Grin.

Poor little Beanypants, she's been a proper moaning myrtle today, I think it's her teeth, plus the fact that she's only slept on the run. In bed now all Nurofen-ed up.

DH back tonight, most of me is looking forward to seeing him again, part of me is not looking forward to his negativity and impatience. Sigh.

ILovePonyo · 16/10/2011 21:06

Evening all and happy birthday to ledkr, can't wait to hear the update!

Have been at my mums all weekend so have been reading up but not had time to post, A has been a little star and extremely cute babbling away to herself. Now when she cries instead of just shouting she goes 'bah bah bah' but crying at the same time so we couldn't help but laugh at her, poor baby Wink

needto I remember dp's lovely gran saying to us when dd was a few days old "ooh you can't give them whiskey to make them sleep nowadays can you?!" I think she was serious...

jane have been thinking of you and Z too.

Hello everyone else, am feeling tired as A was awake at 6am generally being noisy and crawling out of her travel tent/cot thingy. Bed soon but hope everyone has a good sleep filled night :)

Bledkr · 16/10/2011 21:29

hello all,i feel like avip all this interest in my birthday.
Well he kept it a surprise right until we drove into pro drive nr brum.He had arranged for me to drive my all time favourite car.An aston Martin Shock
It was amazing,i did 130 mph and am now saving my pennies to swap my golf Grin We then stayed in Solihul at the ramada and went to a comedy night and out for dinner,it was lovely. I went to "Torchwood" haha and was span out this morning with anyone who had a baby D's age as i though it was a mUm form this thread but couldnt properly remember who lived there-Emski/Ponyo? Was anyone shopping at about midday today?
Dilly was fine here with her big bro,she woke up in the night but i dont care haha.
I have just been for dinner with my family and my funny sil made this elaborate picture frame with my head on Adeles body collecting an award, its so funny, she is really arty.I had flowers, wine, a lovely necklace,a funny corkscrew shaped like a man, some perfume and some pjs.
I am now settling down to watch the Kardashian Wedding [wiggles] are you?
Dilly is in the bath with Ella cos she fell asleep in the resturant so isnt tired Hmm
I will catch up tomorrow.
Night night xx

janedoe25 · 16/10/2011 22:03

ledkr so glad you had a fantastic birthday, the driving sounds amazing!

Bledkr · 16/10/2011 22:46

Thanks jame* did i miss an important date?Sorry if i did but Zoe is always in my head, always will be really.
Are you getting excited now?

tadjennyp · 17/10/2011 02:50

Glad you had a fantastic birthday ledkr - that Aston Martin sounds gorgeous.

My birthday has been pretty quiet as E has been throwing up a lot and I think I am coming down with it too now. Well, I can save it up for the big 4-0 next year.

Hoping that all the babies are sleeping nicely for you and you have great Mondays.

Bledkr · 17/10/2011 06:27

Aw Tad poor you,ive had birthdays like that too,one yr when the boys were little they were really naughty all morning so i walked out, bought a coffe some fags and a papere and went up the hill in my car and had a bit of time out Grin They were a bit sheepish when i got home.
Well birthday well and truly over,Dilly woke at 5 so dh got up with her,he cme back to bed at 6.30 and then she woke again at flaming six o i felt obliged to get up with her but as we normally take it in turns when hes off it seems he only took half a turn Shock I think my turn will be a bit longer tbh!Prob till about 10. grrr im too tired to even take off her bag so she is currently squirming about in it.
Im off to baby group today,i met a woman there last week who isnt a zombie Mum,she's really funny and we had a right laugh,im hoping she maybe my saving grace in no fun babyland.

Bledkr · 17/10/2011 06:30

God she's re discovered the joys of the firplace and it had some leftover milk in a cup in it

janedoe25 · 17/10/2011 07:19

tad sorry your birthday wasn't very good, as you say you will have a blast next year! Hope the illness missed you.

bled No special dates, it was international baby loss week and on friday people world wide lit candles to remember their babies. Enjoy your day.

ILovePonyo · 17/10/2011 08:14

Morning,

ledkr driving sounds brilliant, what a fab birthday! And I was in torchwood touchwood but on Saturday, how funny! My mum lives near there so we always go when we need to do a bit of shopping.

tadj ah no, hope you're ok and not feeling too poorly :( Happy birthday anyway :)

Fgs I just seem to be saying 'no' to A all the time, she is either in the fireplace too ledkr or reaching for newspapers. I may have to have a big sort out soon...

Off to nursery for first settle in session later, only an hour and I'm staying to do paperwork, hope she likes it though (eek)

chocoBOO · 17/10/2011 09:00

I lost you! Off to catch up...

chocoBOO · 17/10/2011 09:20

Ok, caught up I think - I'd been lurking bit hadn't posted for some reason. Spent Saturday updating my phone and iPad though so that may explain it.

ledkr Birthday weekend sounds awesome. Hope you enjoyed Touchwood, I'm one of the people that's round this way. For a change I didn't visit Solihull this weekend though.

reastie So have you finally decided on the maxi dress? It is lovely, and so good when you find something that fits.

ponyo I know the saying no feeling. All I say to R is "no, that's not for babies". Feel like a broken record!

jane How's the wedding plans? Almost done?

tad Sorry you feel pants. Definitely start planning for a big 40th blow out. I've decided to do a marathon before my 40th. Fortunately I have a few years to go!

deadka You had to take your own high chair?! Mad!? Glad the meal was nice though.

needto and emski Am gIggling at the beer and whiskey. You mean that isn't allowed? And thank you for forcing all the cadbury's fingers down emski, Romilly's holiday fund is very grateful!

Had a lovely relaxed weekend here. DP took R off to his parents on Saturday as his nan was also there. I took the opportunity to go to town and do some shopping. Bought a couple of dresses ready for going back to work. I had lunch out on my own and read the Guardian in Eat. Was lovely! Then at tea time we met some friends in the pub and had a couple of drinks.

Off to nursery again shortly. Hope it's as successful as last time.

Bledkr · 17/10/2011 09:48

choc Ella is off for 2 weeks from Tues I wouldnt mind a drive up to Soli or Brum as will prob be staying with my mate.Maybe we could meet with the kids for lunch and Ella can entertain the babies whilst we gossip and eat Grin
ponyo too if you fancy it.Im pretty free for most of the time.

deadka I took my highchair to the Indian last night, its quite a big one but does mean you can enjoy your meal whilst they eat or throw bits of food.I put her next to my Mum anyway Grin

Is anyone finding bottle time a bit annoying? Dilly cant keep still, pummels my legs with her feet, pushes or kicks away the bottle or squeezes the teat,it drives me mad.Shes not really interested in her food at the mo either,i think its her cold. The only thing she eats well is the cow and gate 10 month food in one variety,im off to buy several today Hmm

wigglesrock · 17/10/2011 11:51

ledkr glad you had a good birthday treat Grin, Anna is being a real menace to feed at the minute. She is refusing any home made meals Shock, and will wolf down any Hipp Organic jars - she also likes the Cow & Gate meals in the plastic trays. She is alright with bottles but doesn't like having breakfast at the minute. My patience is wearing a little thin Grin. She has also got really arsey about sitting in her high chair. Enjoy baby group!

Tad pity your birthday was a bit of a bust and E isn't too well. Onwards and upwards for next year - Mr W is 40 in December and I keep forgetting we are going away Blush

ponyo am sure A will be dead on at nursery - hope you can relax Grin

I feel like all I have done for the past week has been shout Oliviaaaaaa, very loudly and often. I used to watch Outnumbered for a little light relief, now its like a bloody documentary. Olivia is like the perfect mix of Ben and Karen, in the body of a too smart almost 4 year old.

Bledkr · 17/10/2011 12:52

wiggs thanks for that i feel better now.I was a tad stressed yesterday when i made sweet potato carrots and gravy and she just shook her head.Id normally be telling people to chill out about food but its quite worrying when they eat sod all.
She also refuses brekkie (its prob cos our girls think they need a bottle in the night tbh.
Im off to sainsbos in a bit to stock up on cow and gate cheesy and spinach pasta and some giant watsits and fromage frais with the fruit puree lurking at the bottom Grin
I have to match dh's lovely pressie now on a budget of 42p any ideas?

WeAreBorg · 17/10/2011 12:57

ledkr very jealous of your birthday treat. Mind you, I'd probably be driving it at about 20mph. I used to drive fast but now drive like an old biddy.
Yes feeding time is annoying, I get beaten up everytime. wiggles he bounces in his high chair so much it travels along the floor. He just wants to play all the time, seems really impatient with food. Does this get any better?

I want to go to the Solihull meet up! Can you have it in Newcastle instead though? I will be in Manchester next week, anyone there? Is that near Solihull? (have no idea where or what Solihull is BTW)

ponyo good luck for nursery. N sometimes does a sort of boo boo, boo hoo when he cries, it is very funny. He has also decided to applaud himself when he pumps.

Just wondered how naps are going at the moment. We used to have a nice routine but he doesn't seem to want his morning nap at all now, has about 45mins at lunch and about 30mins later on sometime. It doesn't seem a lot at all but he never seems tired these days Confused, is this happening with the others, I wondered if it was an 8month thing? He used to conk out at bedtime but now just plays for ages with me sat there cursing my life.
