Hello everyone!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
hardboiledpossum · 14/10/2011 16:43

Yes it's probably that, she was actually quite nice I just thought her advice was rather odd. That does sound very annoying!
He is my first. I live in south west London. I've found everything else fine, I just find it all exhausting but I think he's a fairly easy baby except at three in the morning.

WeAreBorg · 14/10/2011 17:00

Hello everyone, and welcome possum

Ahem, I'd just like to point out that I like to think I have the worst sleeper on this thread. I sometimes let people in my non-sleepers club but it's only temporary. wiggles is an honorary member as she has Olivia who is the CEO. possum I permit you to join but you need to be consistent with the bad sleep, and need to consider anything less than 3 wake-ups a great night. Co-sleeping is only co-sleeping if they sleep on top of you.

I really like the evangelical recruiting Ledkr and mizk did, maybe we should take a topic each or go door to door?

possum I thought milk was still more important than food at the mo? HVs are a bit bizarre.

reastie well done for phoning GP, even if they weren't there Confused. No harm done by having a chat, sometimes just talking about it to an independent non-friend/family is enough to put things in perspective.

wigglesrock · 14/10/2011 20:48

Evening all, no-one about? You better not all be out and about having social lives Grin ledkr you're allowed - it is the first of your birthday celebrations Grin

Anna pulled herself up today, she was sitting playing in the middle of the room and I turned back and she was standing, holding onto the sofa Shock, Mr W was sitting on the other sofa oblivious to it all!! She also tried to crawl into my Mums fireplace and grate several times today.

reastie phoning GP was a big step today, any nice plans for the weekend?

deliaskis hope C is feeling less sniffy and you have a lovely snuggly weekend Grin

deadka · 14/10/2011 20:51

Grin borg HA!!!

S has yoghurt (custard tonight) every day because she doesn't have much milk any more. She often has a cake or a biscuit at lunchtime too Blush.

reastie good on you for calling the GP, even if the surgery was closed Angry. FWIW I think you're doing the right thing. I hope you can find a really good GP who properly listens to you.

ledkr hope you are having a fabulous time tonight :)

Thanks for the cake feedback, I find it difficult to price my cakes because I never buy cakes, I always make my own.

Just finished a Bob the Builder cake for a friend's son, now I can't get the bloody song out of my head!

deadka · 14/10/2011 20:53

x post wiggs no social life here either Grin

Well done Anna Banana!

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 14/10/2011 20:57

deadka one question for you "did you fix?" Grin Meant to say I also think you are underselling your cakes. Christmas cake is Mr Ws absolute favourite thing in the whole world, to be honest I think I might rate a second place quite far below! His birthday is the week before Christmas so he has a birthday Christmas cake and a Christmas Christmas cake Grin

How is Imys toiletting going, did she get over her blip last week?

ReastieHorrorShow · 14/10/2011 21:06

ohh wiggles when is Mr W's bday? I only ask as mine is the week before christmas too and it would be nice to share my bday with the love god of the thread

I've forgotten what it's like to have a social life Confused . Think choc has enough social life for me though what with all her wedding invites

DHs laptop AND phone broke today - looks to be a very expensive week end Confused

Oh and wiggles I keep forgetting to ask how the girls are getting on sharing a room now novelty has gone

borg you've got alot to live up with with your posts now - I always Grin when I see you've posted to see what witty remarks have been made

deb are you trying to pinch my cooking crown? I think you deserve it more than me now as I never get a chance to bake much anymore. I was saying to dh the other day I really miss just having the time and energy to bake for fun.

wigglesrock · 14/10/2011 21:13

reastie He's the 18th, he was a week early Grin. If my spreadsheets memory serves me I think yours is a little later. The girls are getting on fine in the room, they both go up together, play for a while and get tucked in and go to sleep at the same time. Although I think Sofia may start protesting about this a bit soon Grin. They are in bunkbeds and have had no major falling outs Grin.

You have my sympathies re the laptop, have a horrible feeling ours is on its last legs.

deadka · 14/10/2011 21:35

reastie not for fun I do it for the bazongas! Although I did quite enjoy doing Booooob the builder can her fix it bob the builder YES HE CAN Grin

wiggles she's doing fine again thanks now she gets a chocolate button for every wee on the potty

DH's birthday is the 22 December- easy to remember because it's the shortest and thus most miserable day of the year for my miserable sod of a DH Grin. Actually I'm missing him ATM, he's away till Monday.

OP posts:
deadka · 14/10/2011 21:36

BTW reastie you will come out of the fog and be able to do and enjoy things again, it won't last forever :)

OP posts:
ReastieHorrorShow · 14/10/2011 21:47

deb I beg to differ re: 22nd dec being shortest day of the year. I think you'll find my bday (21st dec) is the shortest day of the year does that make me a miserable old sod?. When I was little I thought it actually meant my bday was shorter than everyone elses and how unfair it was I got born on a day where I didn't have as long a bday as everyone else Hmm

deadka · 14/10/2011 21:52

You're right of course reastie you old sod Grin

OP posts:
deadka · 14/10/2011 21:54

Hang on a second- we're both right!!

OP posts:
wigglesrock · 14/10/2011 21:55

Aah reastie that's so cute Grin

ReastieHorrorShow · 15/10/2011 10:39

morning ladies, I'd appreciate some fashion advice, I'm debating dresses for christening now. I can't seem to upload to profile so maybe this will work. Any advice as to which one looks best on me (or neither)

Emski76 · 15/10/2011 10:53

Reastie, def go for the shorter one. It looks fab on you!

Bledkr · 15/10/2011 11:08

Hi all, very good night and was grwon up enough to not have abig hangover.
We went to a really tacky club which was full of cheesy older men as the races were on. They a re all so desperate eyeing up the young girls bleuk!

We had a funny end to the night when we were refused entry to a club cos it was closing so we tried to sneak in the back way,we got rumbled by the bouncer tho so started running away but my massive string of chunky pearls broke and rolled all over the floor,it was like a scene from scooby doo with the booby trap for the badies Grin

Right im off to get ready for my birthday treat for which i have to wear trainers I have no idea what it is still so ill update you tomorrow.

Take care all xx

janedoe25 · 15/10/2011 11:36

bledkr Glad you had a fab night Grin at running away and booby traps for the bouoncers! Hope you have a fantastic day/night and an amazing birthday. You really do deserve it [soppy emoticon]. x

reastie I like them both, but the maxi dress is a bit glam for a christening.

I had a nice quiet night with df, today I am cleaning and preparing dinner whilst he is at the football.

Hope you all have a good day. Smile

NeedToCreepZZZ · 15/10/2011 12:27

Happy ledkrs birthday everyone! Wink Grin I hope you have a fab day ledkr.

reastie definitely go with the cord one, you look gorgeous! When is the big day? Hope Alice slept okay last night.

deadka glad you and reastie have come to an agreement re the shortest day of the year, all I can say is I hate this time of year, it's depressing until about April! How is Imy doing with tt? And any news on your mum?

wiggs go Anna! I hope she's behaving herself and not pulling the bookcases over .... yet!

My DM had the best pfb moment with b yesterday, we were waiting for a taxi at the taxi rank so lots of cars there, and she said "I do wish they would turn their engines off, it can't be very good for Ben" Hmm I just laughed at her!

Anyway, back to my exciting Saturday of washing and walking b around... Am going out tonight Shock to the local bonfire procession which should be fun.

Bledkr · 15/10/2011 13:47

Had to tell you this,it was so funny.Dh was pushing Dilly in the pram to get her sleep and i went out to check on them,Dilly was sat up and leaning over the side sucking on the edge and humming to herself.Grr she slept for 5 mins and has just woken again, wtf? We are just about to go and leave hefr with ds3 he will be thrilled that she's had 10 mins sleep since 6am Hmm

Grannyapple · 15/10/2011 14:29

Afternoon ladies! Haven't posted in a while as had family visiting from Glasgow & then was out at a wedding reception last night (managed to offload Nate onto my best friend's mum for a dew hours...she was beside herself with excitement!). Was all going well til we left the house...nightmare getting out of London & then stuck in a traffic jam (read car park!) fir an hour due to a van fire...ended up only sending 1.5 hrs at the reception!

reastie I love the maxi dress, but I lived in them all summer as they hide lots if bumps & look fab! The shorter dress looks nice too but I prefer the maxi. Sorry to hear ur still having a tough time of it...defo agree with others re: speaking with gp...offloading may well start things rolling for toy.

Jane lovely gesture in giving the Moses basket to the maternity ward. Must be less than 2 months now til ur big day, eh?

bledkr happy birthday! Loved ur story of the club shenanigans [hgrin]! oh my spot is booked for next week with impending PIL visit!

possum welcome! We're all a bit mad, but in a nice way [hgrin]!

wiggles go Anna! Nate is still crawling backwards but loves doing full blown press ups too! Caught him wedged between leather chair & wall the other day, trying to do a poo [hgrin]!

Sorry to everyone else I haven't mentioned, but I have read all...that's what I get for not posting in a while!

Been for haircut thus morning, made lunch...now planning on baking a nice banana & walnut loaf, cleaning, take N to park...tho not sure how I'm gonna fit it all in whilst I am sat here on ass mning [hgrin]! off to make an attempt at least...

janedoe25 · 15/10/2011 17:41

Evening all,

wiggles yay for Anna!

needto Grin at your mum.

granny Boo to the traffic jam! 5 weeks until the big day Grin.

Emski76 · 15/10/2011 18:32

Jane, just popped on to let you know I will be lighting a candle at 7pm for Zoe and will be thinking of you, df, and Zoe xx

deadka · 15/10/2011 19:44

Evening all, all quiet in the deadka house today, DH is still away, Imy's at my mum's and S is in bed. Heaven!

needto thanks for asking, Imy is dry all the time now she gets a sweetie for every wee on the potty. My mum gets her results on Tuesday...

reastie I liked both of them :)

grannyapple how frustrating about the wedding.

ledkr glad you had a good night, looking forward to hearing what you were up to today please let it be paintballing Grin

Imy and I made damson gin today- shame we have to wait A YEAR till it's ready!
