Oh deb thank you Thanks international baby loss week and wave of light on sturday where I will be lighting a candle for my Zoe and thinking of all babies taken too soon.

Imy is very sweet, tell her baby Zoe will be there having fun too. I'm off the wagon too, just had a dairymilk -chocco hope you get the commission.Grin

chocoBOO · 13/10/2011 20:30

Jane Oophhh. How exciting! It's getting so close! Bethenny is off of Real housewives of NYC. It is in ITV2 several times a day. If you haven't been watching (and this applies to all of you) then you have missed out big time. The real housewives series are the theme of my mat leave!

deb Boo to mice. We had them when I lived in London. You have my sympathies.

NeedToCreepZZZ · 13/10/2011 20:33

Hello possum Smile, so glad you've joined us! A few pointers to help you along: ledkr has the maddest in laws known to mankind and is the font of all knowledge for us newbies! wiggles is the mastermind and we have thrown our diaries away now as she is so good at remembering dates! reastie is the go to girl for all matters cooking related. Haven't got much time to post so shall just say this thread has been my saviour, post whatever you like and you'll get good honest feedback and support.

choc after last week as single mum I'm sending you peaceful thoughts and sleepy vibes for r.

expat hello there! I'm like you in that I'm finding it difficult to keep up with all the chatterboxes. Sounds like l is doing well with food, more nutritious than what I've been existing on Grin

ledkr green wing is one of my all time favourites and love Martin in it.

Bledkr · 13/10/2011 20:37

Hi possum glad you came. Ladiies Possum is having sleep issues so it might be nice if we each summarise our lo's sleep patterns to make her feel more ahem-normal.
Possum, My Delilah slept exceptionally well form 7 weeks, all night. At 4 months she regressed and slept terribly often wanting to get up for the day at 4.30 ShockShe then went on to wake frequently untill afew weeks ago when we did shsh pat and fed her more in the day when she had a week or two of sleeping 8-7.I was ecstatic. However, the last few days she has started waking once for a bottle and is hard to settle afterwards.Last night i spent an hour sat in bed with her crawling all over me untill i could eventually get her to sleep with another bottle.

deb I agrre with making time for others as well as baby but i disaggree with giving up breastfeeding so that your dh can "have his boobies back"

Dh gets up loads in the night and is rewarded with lots of sex cos i am not too tired Grin he knows what side his bread is buttered that man haha.

Bledkr · 13/10/2011 20:40

choco im glad its not just me with the daytime tv,im seriously worried about withdrawing when im back at work.
I watch real housewives, kardashians, fashion police, super nanny and wife swap. Dreadfull waste of time.

wigglesrock · 13/10/2011 20:52

jane there's a big balloon release in the "posh park" they sometimes let us into this Sunday.

Hope dps polishing was of a satisfactory nature Grin

Possum hello Grin I am the owner of a non sleeping daughter, now almost 4!, who does sleep now but didn't for the first 3 years, I do believe I alluded to her on "the thread" Grin DD3 - Anna has slept through the night once maybe twice since Feb. She goes down fine, and then wakes up once or twice during the night. I tried ccing, shush pat etc with dd2 to the point of insanity, so now dd3 just comes in with us when she gets up after about 2am.

I'll post stats when we get possums ds name, I forgot to do it and the beginning of the thread Shock, must be slipping!!

janedoe25 · 13/10/2011 20:56

Must be the age wiggles Grin

The balloon release sounds nice. There is nothing to mark the event here in Glasgow. SANDS have a service every 2 years and this is the year there is nothing. Who knows I might be at next years service Zoe's little bro/sis. [hoping and praying emoticon]

deadka · 13/10/2011 20:56

ledkr yes that made me Hmm, wouldn't mind a bit of action though Grin I do recall a thread once where the OP confessed to having sex whilst bfing- wrong on so many levels.

possum S slept through from quite young but at about 3-4mo started waking more and more during the night and not going back off again. At 6mo we did CC which worked after one night and since then she's slept through, although she can wake pretty early, this morning was 5.30

jane you know I think about you and Zoe every day. I so hope that it's your month again very soon :)

wiggs what is This Thread you speak of?

OP posts:
Bledkr · 13/10/2011 21:01

jane i didnt know about baby loss week,i wonder if there is anything on here.I still cant believe about Zoe when i think about her, goodness knows how you cope.

Dilly is being a pain, she didnt go off as usual on the bottle so had a crawl about and a smelly pooh, she seems knackered and dh is trying agin but i know she will play up cos is now overtired grr.
Having my first birthday day tomorrow.Monkey music with my friend and her baby, then lunch and she is doing my hair.At night i am going for drinks with my bff, then have my surprise weekend with dh.Oh how i love a night in a hotel even more these days, going to drink champers and ahem "chat" Blush

chocoBOO · 13/10/2011 21:01

possum My DD has been an angel sleeper, we never had less than 4-5 hours from the day she arrived. Until the last few weeks. She's now turned into a pita to settle, took at least 90m today but I'm still blaming teething for now.

bledkr I watch the lot. Fortunately will be working a couple of days from home so should be able to fit some in then. Have found Bethenny....tis awesome and am off to bed to watch now!

thanks for the sleepy vibes needto Not going too well so far bit the good news is that if she wakes over night she can just get in with me rather than me having to camp in her room so as not to wake DP!

janedoe25 · 13/10/2011 21:07

deadka Shock Shock at having sex whilst breastfeeding, bloody hell that woman must be insane!

bledkr This quote sums it up, it is now my favourite "You never how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have"

DF is out for dinner with his fuckwit dad, I managed to get out of it the bonus of having a cold!

Bledkr · 13/10/2011 21:08

choc I watch the housewives in a mocking "arent they old" way, twas on;y the other day i realised i am that old Hmm I do the same on the fat programmes, shaking my head at what they eat whilst stuffing my face with jaffa cakes Grin

Bledkr · 13/10/2011 21:10

jane great quote. As good as my mate when i was weeping on the kitchen floor when i found out about exh's ow.
"of course you can cope, you have arms and legs dont you?"

deb that was the thread with the bj 20 mins after giving birth,it all got a bit nasty in the end.

ReastieHorrorShow · 13/10/2011 21:19

Welcome possum I hope we haven't scared you off - I see you haven't posted again

wigglesrock · 13/10/2011 21:20

deadka possum was the OP on the Co-Sleeping thread from this afternoon, I thought you were referring to a different thread re breastfeeding and sex.

jane my granny is a great user of "you only get sent what God knows you can deal with"

Sofia has another v wobbly tooth, not sure the toothfairy can stretch to another £1 this month Grin Oh and Anna had to be removed from the dogs feeding bowl three times today Shock

Bledkr · 13/10/2011 21:23

Mice?
reastie I actually invited possum along with mizk so get of my case woman Grin I rescued her from being told to free up her boobies for her dh HmmI did ask how Alice awas sleeping a while back but you ignored me grrr.
Im the spider catcher here too, horrible bloody things.Have come to bed and left dh with his firstborn Grin

Bledkr · 13/10/2011 21:25

wiggs you reminded me,when Dilly was found to have the cleft,me and dh talked into the night and decided that we had been given her cos we could cope and do the best for her.As the op approaches i am not that scared for her cos i know we will be with her every step of the way and that she will never feel as scared as if we werent.

janedoe25 · 13/10/2011 21:30

Ah wiggles I have heard that one a lot from people, it makes my teeth itch. The most hated one is "It was meant to be, she is in a better place", I mean how the feck is that supposed to make me feel better? Some people have no idea.

Grin at Anna's penchant for pedigree chum!

ILovePonyo · 13/10/2011 21:36

Aww ledkr very true about Dils op, also enjoy your dirty birthday night in a hotel :)

Lovely quote jane (and others) very true I think, fwiw I think about Zoe most if not every day, I know I'm lucky to have dd anyway but thinking about you and Z reminds me of that fact even more.

choco Grin at 'do aldi even take cards' yes of course they do!! I just shove all of the shopping under the pram, tis easy once you gt the hang of it Grin

My stpid computer is being v slow and I'm worried it will lose my post, can I just mention that I'm watching 16 and pregnant and I get all soppy and broody when I see the little newborns then as soon as they cry or wake up in the night I think "no chance" Grin

wigglesrock · 13/10/2011 21:38

jane my dad can't stand it either and its his Mum Grin

Oh I meant to say, I read something in a post last night and thought I'd try it re sleeping. It recommended putting a hot water bottle in babys cot if you lift the baby out at night before resettling. Apparently the shift in temperature from mum/dads chest to cold bed is what causes the baby to wake up again. As my teenage self would exclaim " bag of shite" , made no difference to Anna last night, although thought I'd share incase it worked.

ILovePonyo · 13/10/2011 21:44

Aah wiggles you are bringing back memories of me frantically using hot water bottles to try and get A to settle in her moses basket in the first few weeks, to no avail (sorry Grin) Makes sense though, good luck eh :)

ReastieHorrorShow · 13/10/2011 21:46

ponyo re the Grin at aldi taking credit cards. My mum went to lidl for the first time while on holiday a couple of months ago and was Shock when she was told at the check out they don't accept credit cards Hmm

Watching educating essex - love it Grin that teacher who had the convo with the bored film club students - haha, I've had so many discussions/students JUST like that - so deja vu Grin

ledkr sory for missing the ask re: alices sleep. I didn't not read it, I'm just lame at remembering everything sometimes. She was up 3/4 times a night in the passt few nights Hmm

jane I think of Z alot too. How beautiful she was and how life sucks that she was taken away already. Even if you do believe that she is in a better place it just doesn't make sense she was taken away so soon. Sorry, not trying to upset you. Hope you enjoy your FIL free evening

tadjennyp · 13/10/2011 22:11

Hello, hope bedtimes have gone smoothly and the babies are all sleeping. Have 5 kids here at the moment as it's teacher conferences and the schools are shut.

Welcome Possum!

Hope you have a fab birthday weekend ledkr! Sounds amazing. It's my birthday on Sunday too and dh reckons he is arranging something. I'm reserving judgment as his family doesn't really do birthdays - apart from MILs which has to be celebrated, of course! Hmm

I think of Zoe every day too and continue to marvel at just how amazing you are Jane.

Another big fan of the slow cooker (crock pot for expat Wink ) and generally bung some chicken thighs, condensed soup, chopped onion and a can of whichever beans are in the cupboard. The meat is so soft that Sammy can eat it really easily.

That post about the boobs was shocking, though I must admit that I was a bit put off sex the other night when mine was leaking. Hmm One of the reasons that I am considering weaning him over the next couple of months.

I hope everyone gets nursery/childcare sorted out to their satisfaction soon. I've started menu planning so that I know what I'm doing with the school runs/activities/general taxiing about. I am also not very house proud!

This is such a long post that I'd better stop wittering. Just wanted to say that I hope you do ring the GP reastie as you are doing so well, it would be such a shame to talk your self down and out of extra support. Alice is gorgeous and that is down to you.

Apols to anyone I have missed.

Bledkr · 14/10/2011 08:05

Hi tad I always feel a bit sorry for you that you miss the chat.I wasnt particularly sexed up when bf smelling of milk with a massive bra Grin

reastie Dilly is waking again, was going 11 hrs for over a week but we are back to waking at least once Sad she has a cold and last time she had one she was waking so hope its a phase. She wakes about 3 for some milk,it was 5 this morning but she didnt go to bed till 10 so not really an improvement.
She is really snotty too and constantly sneezing i think thats cos of her cleft but its quite revolting.
My friend has just cancelled our date at monkey music for the 2nd time.I cant really go on my own cos you go in the play barn after and i dont fancy that on my own.I feel a bit let down as wh3n i was pg she was full of "oh we can do things together" and she hardly ever wants to.When you are stuck in all week you look forward to these things so much. Sad
