Hello everyone!!

Hmmm... I thought that when they take your ovaries out then you plummet into instant menopause because the ovaries produce the hormones, so they give you HRT to stop you becoming <a class="break-all" href="http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?q=evil+witch+face&hl=en&biw=1024&bih=454&gbv=2&tbm=isch&tbnid=GBrr9x-Qy_8mgM:&imgrefurl=www.listal.com/topic/50-villainous-continuous&docid=dgnNwWnIUlmBWM&w=250&h=300&ei=rFmVTu6EH86w8QOS1uCcBw&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=624&vpy=100&dur=1844&hovh=240&hovw=200&tx=138&ty=138&page=1&tbnh=118&tbnw=94&start=0&ndsp=14&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:0" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">this Grin Happy to be corrected though!!

Morning ladies,

The rain has finally stopped here! Claudia was at my Mum's yesterday and my aunty was there too, and she has knitted C a really cute red hat for winter. C looks great in red and this hat just looks adorable. Had a bit of an emotional moment when she tried it on Blush.

Deadka sorry to hear your Mum isn't feeling well. As other have said, it might not be what you're thinking, but I know that doesn't really help when you're right in the middle of it. Thinking of you and her.

reastie do we get to see the potential Christening ensembles?

MizK yay for getting phone back!

Well, we're now officially moving house on the 28th. Still a fingers crossed scenario, but it's looking much firmer than it was, yippee!

Back later

Yes thats true about the instant meno, but i must be close any way im 44 on Sunday
I have had a double mastectomy yse so risk decreased significantly, also my ca was non oestrogen so prob be ok.
I shall take some advice,i dont think i want this sodding worry all my life its vile.

Ooo im excited about my birthday treat and a decent nights sleep.

I asked dh if he wanted to invite pils down in a couple of weekends.I felt an olive branch was needed and also we are short on pil stories on the thread.Ill let you all know when they are coming so you can stock up on popcorn and wine.Apart from deb who can stock up on fruit.

Dh was dressing d just now.I gave him a nice stretchy dress and leggings and he was still struggling with the buttons as there were sone decorative as well as functional ones.Monkey with a puzzle is all im saying.

We are all off to find a subway as we were talking about them and now we are all hungry Grin

ReastieHorrorShow · 12/10/2011 12:01

/i am Shock and Blush at the HRT thing - I had no idea you go into menopause if you had a hysterectomy. Although thinking about it it makes alot of sense. There was me thinking you could bypass the next hormonal hell I'm due for Hmm . Btw ledkr you never know when periods will stop - my mum is 60 and STILL gets periods

Right d if you're bored and nosey here here here and here are the dresses I've ordered. I only need one (obv) to fit me nicely. Never bought anything from boden so no idea on their sizes so may end out returning them all though. I have a nice cardi that would go with the sleeveless dress. I am useless at fashion in general though so they are pretty dull. They are all (bar the maxi dress) things I can wear to work when I'm back though

40 how is mikey?

Deliaskis · 12/10/2011 12:07

Yes reastie I am nosey! I like the maxi and the knot one the best, but I'm just a random person off the internet, so you know, ignore me!

Ledkr giggling at your DH trying to do up the decorative buttons. DH's dressing babies are in general hilarious.

Dx

janedoe25 · 12/10/2011 12:09

reastie I love the purple silk maxi dress, it's gorgeous!

MizK · 12/10/2011 12:19

Ooh reastie I think the first one with the knot is lovely, plus its a simple classic design so you can rewear it lots, think it would look gorge with tan shoes rather than the minging black ones they have paired it with! god boden is expensive isnt it! I moan about Topshop prices but I see they are pretty reasonable in comparison....
deadka Hope your mum is OK, must be a worry for you x
bledkr am stashing the wine in anticipation of hearing the horrors your PILs up to!
We have today finally switched Cass into her big girls car seat! She seems to like it cause she can look at what I'm doing, takes after her nosey mama :)

ReastieHorrorShow · 12/10/2011 12:41

Yeah boden is £££ isn't it mizk tbh I was Shock at the prices and never normally spend that much but I'm fed up of cheap badly cut stuff and never finding anything that sits right. I thought I'd get one pricey thing to see if it's worth it and how it lasts. I think they all look nice on the glam slim model Envy but just depends how well they sit on my podgy bod.

ReastieHorrorShow · 12/10/2011 13:27

Right I've just hung up Alices new curtains and they look v nice if I say so myself. I'm so pleased with finally sorting her room I've put a limited edition piccie of it on my profile Blush Grin [bored]

wigglesrock · 12/10/2011 13:42

reastie Its really beautiful - well done, [stamps foot] I want a pretty room like that. I also am voting for the maxi dress Grin If none of them do, have you thought about Wallis?

MizK we switched A to a different car seat a few weeks ago, they're getting so big Shock

To clear up any ambiguity its Justin Beebies I heard the gossip about not the Trousersnake. I hear he's got lovely hands (CBeebies one) Grin

Oh I got word from hospital, Anna will not need to go back re hips again, so that's that out of the way [yippee]

NeedToCreepZZZ · 12/10/2011 15:33

Hello all!

Thank you for all the hugs, I'm just getting my breath back Wink! Seriously, has been a very tough week with OH working loads then going away at the weekend on a sodding stupid aikido course Angry Anyway, my dm is back from holiday now and went to see her earlier and feel a lot calmer. B is doing well and is sleeping again thank god! No further fainting episodes but still watching him like a hawk closely.

deb have everything crossed for your nan, listen to ledkr as it may not be what you think. Big hug x

jane Once again you have shown what an amazing woman and mum you are, I bet Zoe is beaming with pride at you Smile

reastie Love A's nursery, really gorgeous. Must have a look at all the Boden outfits in a min but have to hide my debit card first as just bought a new pushchair this morning so can't spend anything else till christmas...

I can't believe anyone actually watches Mr Tumble, I HATE it, I really do. I go all cringey when 'he's' on but Justin the trouser snake, well, that's a different thing altogether... Grin
B has been watching us all sign at him since he was born as we're all makaton users in the family (work related stuff) and he's just started using the sign for milk. We go to tinytalk once a week and some of their signs are different but it's okay as long as we stick to the ones we know.

Arghh, gtg as B has woken up in time for countdown, typical

Bledkr · 12/10/2011 15:56

Blimey reastie they are expensive but i like them all but my fav is defo the grey at the end,but you will need some good underwear cos its very smooth.Have you looked on Jon Lewis site?
Ive never felt the urge to sign,my kids speak at about a year and dont shut up till they leave Grin
We got our subway mmmm. Had a nice walk around the docks too,Dilly was abit grumpy i think she's suffering from her late night poor thing.

needto I have seen JT twice now,he is scrummy,me and my friend saw him in the ice bar and he is truly delicious.

Poor Nan is back in hospital, had another fall. We thought she was really settling in her new home too.

ReastieHorrorShow · 12/10/2011 16:35

yeah led I had already thought I'll need some good scaffolding Grin . I was trying o find an outfit I could bf in but it's so restrictive I decided to ignore that issue. I'll only need to do one feed and I'll just have to take my dress off to do 'it' (and I mean somewhere with a lockable door away from everyone not in the middle of the church Grin )

ledkr poor your nan :( I once saw trousersnake in RL too but IMO a little cocky Wink and weedy looking

feeling fed up as nurofen has run out and I can't take more until I go to bed or I'll be over max dose Confused throat and muscles hurty :(

Deliaskis · 12/10/2011 16:41

reastie Grin at you taking your dress off to do 'it'. I remember my wedding day (and no not for the reason you're thinking) it ended up being easier to take the whole dress off to go to the loo, rather than trying to hoik it all up around my neck.

Sorry you're poorly and hurty Sad. Is Alice co-operating and being chilled out or no such luck?

I'm missing Claudia these days. Weekends are ace though and we are now in the habit of doing Nice Things.

Off singing tonight but in a bit of a can't be arsed mood.

No idea why anybody would be reading this really.

Dx

Bledkr · 12/10/2011 16:46

reastie you can safely take paracetamol alongside brufen.Id have a couple. KIm like Michael Jackson for pain killers,my fav is Syndol, better than a glass of vino haha

Bledkr · 12/10/2011 16:47

im not kim

ReastieHorrorShow · 12/10/2011 16:56

i know you're not kim ledkr Wink Grin . so I can take a dose of paracetamol now and nurofen before bed? good. i never usually take many painkillers but i feel like i've been living off them the past few months Confused

d i'm sure you'll enjoy singing when you get there. I'm a bit like that about stuff at the min but once I'm there I'm glad I went iykwim

chocoBOO · 12/10/2011 17:54

Who's Kim?! Wink

reastie Hope the drugs sort you out. Can I be honest and say I'm not sure about any of the Boden dresses? They all seem so expensive. Lots like those in Debenhams that seem a bit cheaper.

Delia Singing will be fun. I bet that's a proper mood improver.

bledkr Am actually jealous of Subway. Need to start dinner really, at least do the prep but apparently DP has an upset stomach so not sure whether he'll want real food. Sorry about your Nan too. Can you take Dilly to cheer her up?

needto I can't believe you get away with not watch Mr Tumble! R loves Justin. She just sat still for ten whole minutes watching giggle biz. Much prefer old trouser snake myself!

wiggles Good news about the hip Grin

Agh. Better dash. R is chewing the virgin box. Again.

ReastieHorrorShow · 12/10/2011 18:18

OK choc I'm with you on the expense. The thing is I can never find anything in my huge size. There is such a limit on ranges of what I can get. I got so fed up not finding anything for the last christening and had already looked on debenhams and a few others but not found anything that nice. If the boden stuff doesn't fit right I'll try again. It's just so depressing not being able to find anything nice that fits in high street stores anymore I think I just got depressed about it so splurged and it makes me feel better that I got 15% off . Plus, it's Alices christening so these pictures will be on show for a long time and I want to look nice. I get fed up with feeling so down and unconfident with myself all the time and the only clothes that fit me now are just really cheap things I've mainly got in the sale. I just really want to feel good about myself for one day. It's made me feel like I'm a worthwhile person just making the order if I'm honest Blush . Having said all that they may not fit anyway Hmm

choc how was the dinner last night?

wigglesrock · 12/10/2011 18:31

chocoBoo what is it with the bloody Virgin boxes?, Anna has spent all day trying to disable our modem Shock

deliaskis if you're about - just wanted to say how well I thought you "spoke" on the thread re formula in hospitals - you were really heartfelt and dignified and made your point really well. Was going to post on the thread "look at my friend isn't she articulate and lovely" Blush, but then thought no, might lower the the tone and I think I've done enough of that with my Mr Tumble gossip Grin

reastie you will look terrific at the Christening, its all about confidence and if a dress does that for you then buy 100 of them.

Deliaskis · 12/10/2011 18:48

wiggles aw fanks! I thought you were going to tell me off for going on such threads knowing full well from a few months ago that it was highly likely to upset me. When I saw you were the last poster, I thought you would be posting 'Delia, what are you doing here?'. I really don't know why I do go on posts that really, I a a glutton for punishment!

Dx

Bledkr · 12/10/2011 18:58

reastie i feel all guilty now about the dresses.Im a bit obsessed with money atm and can only afford primark so it just seemed loads, sorry.I used to buy designer clothes all the time,i still have my tiny "criminal" jeans that were 100 quid and dont fit sob sob.I aggree with wigs if you feel good then do it. As a aside, can i also give you a Angry and a Sad and a paddington hard stare at you missing fat fighters for 2 weeks, ive only lost a few pounds and i feel loads better about myself.

ReastieHorrorShow · 12/10/2011 19:05

haha yes you can indeed give me a big stare at missing it. Please bully me into next week Grin. But I had no one that could look after Alice for me as Mum was sorting out Granny moving to a nursing home and I just felt too rough. I managed to take Alice to a local nature trail but had to give up after a few mins as I couldn't really manage it as felt too wobbly and kept getting sweats of the feverish variety. Tbh I'm having alot of ishoos at the min with everything gettin on top of me and not seeing the wood for the trees and not sure where to start (ie CBT/Self esteem/fat fighters/looking after alice/upset with granny/feeling down/trying to sort the house out etc). I'm doing nothing well at the min, so I have no idea whether to carry on as I am or scrap some things from my list and focus on less but actually get it done Hmm

chocoBOO · 12/10/2011 19:16

Ooooh reastie have some hugs from me. Can you sit down, make a big old list of everything going on and then prioritise it in terms of what you should be worrying about and what you can admit isn't too important. I'm happy to be a virtual stylist for you if you want me to do a clothes search for you - I love stuff like that! PM me your size and I'll wave my wand!

Delia I popped on that thread earlier but didn't post. I was too cross after just one page.

wiggles I know. Our router has been hidden but now she's focussed on the digibox which we need to move to a really high shelf. She can now do steps as well so can crawl all around our house like a demon. Why do people encourage crawling?!

ledkr I too will give reastie a hard stare!

Dinner last night was lovely. No hangover either which is good as have been to Baby Sensory a few times too many smelling like vino! Left over tart tattin (sp) for pudding today too.

Nursery again for us tomorrow. I really am going back to work aren't I?

chocoBOO · 12/10/2011 19:42

Ah reastie Saw your thread in S&B. They'll know better than me!
