Calico1 · 05/03/2012 17:36

Didn't manage to catch 'stick man' on camera unfortunately!

oooggs · 05/03/2012 19:28

Dinky your profile isn't open to view!!

SilveryMoon · 05/03/2012 19:33

Evening everyone.
Sorry for absence, haven't been on MN for ages!
No reason, just been busy.

Not much going on here, new cat has settled in brilliantly and the old cat seems to have accepted her well.

The boys are fine. Ds1 has an MRI on the 27th under GA, to check if there is anything going on with his hip or knee as he has been complaining more and more about pains in his leg.

Gonna have a quick catch up, but hope everyone is ok

SilveryMoon · 05/03/2012 19:35

dinky Hope you're ok and recovering from the op

MrsY · 05/03/2012 20:09

Hello everyone.

Back again for a random catch up and promise I will be on more. Honestly, I really do try, but I normally leave it a few days, which means after I've read through all the messages, I've not got any time left to actually post!

Anyway, I really will try this time Blush.

Hope everyone had a Fab Feb, and all the birthdays were a success. M had a lovely party at a playbarn place near us, which was briliant. They do all the food, and party bags, and of course, the children (and adults) love racing up and down the softplay and having slide races, so it was a big hit! Especially as we didn't have to tidy up at the end of the party! J and I had a slide race, which was a little on the rucous side, and I ended up taking off a layer of skin down half my leg. Ooouch.

We're just over 5 weeks away from Peanut's due date, and things are progressing well. BP is behaving itself, and so I'm on track for local birth centre, as opposed to maternity unit at hospital 40 minutes away. Early issues in pregnancy (fainting and bleeding) all sorted pretty quickly and have no impact now, so I seem to be enjoying an uneventful pregnancy Shock. I've another 7 shifts at work over the next 3 weeks, it all seems a bit close now! Getting bags packed and making sure all the essentials are still in working order. I do feel I've totally forgotten how to look after a nb, but I'm assured that it'll all come flooding back!

Off to have a nice relaxing soak, hope to catch up with you all again v soon. x

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 06/03/2012 19:02

Arse - try again Oooggs.

Nice to see you on MrsY - and glad all going smoothly with your pregnancy. 3 weeks will fly by! Glad M had a lovely birthday but ouch about your skin on your leg.

Thanks for your kind wishes SM - slowly but surely getting better. Hope your DS1's MRI goes well and you find out the reason for his pains.

littlesez · 06/03/2012 19:48

helllooooo are all the babies 3 now Grin I cannot believe it seems like yesterday we were talking about heartburn, sore boobs and morning sickness Smile

Hope everyone is well xx

MrsY · 06/03/2012 21:46

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 07/03/2012 09:05

Off for another week I think. Hi LittleSez - nice to see you on. Hope your little one had a great birthday and all is well with you.

littlesez · 07/03/2012 18:49

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 07/03/2012 19:10

fell down the stairs at the start of the year carrying danny and mullered my left knee littlesez - had an ACL graft and meniscus repair (sadly only on one side as meniscus on other side totally shattered) last monday so at home on crutches and meds for a couple of weeks

SilveryMoon · 07/03/2012 21:07

Had some good news today.
My employment agency have possibly found me another job! I only asked her this morning if she could keep her eyes and ears open for anything that might be suitable for me, and she called me at the end of the day!
That woman is a superstar.
The place she has in mind is a unit attached to a mainstream school, is not too far from the school I am at now, and she is going to schedule a meeting with them for after school on friday so I can look around and meet them, then we can decide if they'd like me to do a trial day or something and hopefully will take me on.
My agency contact said they are very keen, so fingers crossed the meeting going well.

The boys are doing well, ds1 has just started to read books with words and ds2 is copying him and repeating words and is well in to his puzzles.
They are growing up so quick!

Hope everyone is well. Smile

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 07/03/2012 21:20

fab news SM - Danny is a jigsaw maniac like your ds2 too! Great that ds1 is reading - good on him. In no time at all your boys will be reading to each other. Danny comes and curls up with us when I'm listening to ds1 doing his school reading books.

MrsY · 08/03/2012 22:23

Are you pretty much sorted at home, now Dinky? Hope you can actually get some rest.

M is also a puzzle fiend, well, she's into everything - loves stories and takes books to bed with her at night. I wake up in the morning to the sounds of her 'reading' to her bears - a combination of remembering words and describing the pictures, it's very sweet. Her memory is amazing, the number of nursery rhymes she can reel of is ridiculous. J doesn't know the words to any of them!

SM - Are things not working out for you where you are now? I thought it was all going so well?

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 09/03/2012 11:59

pretty much Mrsy - back to work next week though may ask to work from home for first few days. Danny does that too with books and his toys - so cute!

MOSagain · 09/03/2012 16:25

hello all, sorry have been AWOL Blush
dinky, hope you are recovering well from your surgery.

Calico I'd have killed your DH if I was you.

SM fingers crossed ref the job. Are you not happy where you are? I thought you liked it there.

MrsY glad everything going well for you.

waves to everyone else.

All ok(ish) here. DH started his new job (has been temping the past few months) on Monday and seems really happy there. Am hoping that things will settle down now as he has been VERY stressed the past few months and I'm tired of being his (verbal) punching bag.

Have a good weekend everyone

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 10/03/2012 18:31

MoS - congrats on DH's new job. Hope all goes well.

Am rather fed up - Danny has been doing brilliantly with using the potty for wees and poos for the past few weeks (still wearing a pull up nappy until we were sure he'd cracked pooing in the potty) so today thought worth trying him in pants - 20 minutes after a wee in the potty he weed in his pants and 20 minutes after that did a poo in his pants. Needless to say he's back in pull ups again now as just cant be potty training him full on while on crutches and unable to bend down. And DS1 is being challenging too - not listening (especially about not going anywhere near my bad leg!) and having a bad attitude generally. Rather looking forward to returning to work on Monday..

MOSagain · 11/03/2012 16:30

dinky H has regressed with his potty training too. He was doing so well then the last week or so he started doing loads of poos in his pants and a few wees too, so bloody frustrating.

DD2's attitude is driving us insane too. Its like she wants us to kill her Angry

Hope work goes well tomorrow

SummerRain · 15/03/2012 17:56

At least your boys potty trained in the first place.... A is still resisting all forms of bribery and coercement and costing us a fortune in nappies Angry

On the plus side dp has work... better than that he's been given the opportunity to start his own business. Which is fantastic, not only from the money point of view but like MOS i'm fed up of having him skulking round the house 24/7 being a moody arsehole at me and the kids.

Hope everyone is doing ok. dinky, how is your leg? I hope your boys (big and small) gave you a chance to recover in peace.

oooggs · 15/03/2012 20:51

Luke has been fantastic with the toliet training, very quick and no accidents - easiest by far - now before I get stoned for that I need to scream AARRRGGGGHHH

DD is still wetting all the time, just dribbles so har pants are very wet but ir doesn't always come through her trousers/skirts. She is sore. I know she can do it as on holiday she didn't wet once. We are at the end of our tether and she is 5 in a fortnight!!!

SummerRain · 15/03/2012 20:58

oooggs.... dd was still exactly the same at 5, I had her at paediatrics to be investigated for physiological reasons for it and everything. Same as your dd she could keep herself dry at school just fine, but at home and out she was worse than an untrained puppy.

She stopped when she was 5 though (don't ask me about nights as you really don't want to hear the answer to that one tbh). She's still not great at holding her pee for long and has a highly irritating habit of announcing in the middle of a shop that she needs the loo despite us just having left somewhere where she could have gone but the constant wet knickers are a distant memory at least.

I was really hoping A would be my easy child to PT but I'm starting to think I just do it wrong or something....

dinkystinkyandveryverybored · 16/03/2012 11:58

SR - congrats on DP's job - great news! Dont be jealous about Danny and Potty Training - he and A are still v much alike. He will do wees in the potty but often just wet himself without going to the loo - and has reverted to exclusively doing poos in his nappy too (despite us using sticker charts and presents to incentivise him to poo in the potty/loo). Have decided to train in earnest in April when I will hopefully be fully back to normal. Recovery going well I think - down to one crutch for part of the day.

Oooggs - is your dd using pantyliners? May be an idea to stop embarrassments/cut back on the washing load? And have made my profile/photos public now so hopefully you can see my pics..

oooggs · 16/03/2012 12:30

Dinky your house looks amazing!!!!!

Summerrain nights!!!!!! Forget night time training, dd is following the same pattern as ds1 and will probably be on medication at 7 for some genetic thing that thankfully the other 2 haven't got

Panty liners may be worth a try
