Awww! That list made me go all teary.

SilveryMoon · 01/02/2012 19:40

Gosh, look at the length of that list! Where is everyone Sad

oooggs · 01/02/2012 20:01

Here Miss!!

But yes, loads of fab febbers missing Sad

dinkystinky · 02/02/2012 10:21

Happy birthday to all the birthday boys and girls today - esp Swampy's little one. Happy birthday to Frankstretch for toorrow too.

I think alot of Fab Febbers have fallen by the wayside - plenty of change for alot of them - but most of them pop on MN and swing by the thread occasionally. And it has been 3 years!

Calico1 · 02/02/2012 10:55

Aww - that's a brill list! Happy 3rd birthday to all the littl'uns.

MarkStretch · 02/02/2012 10:59

I'm HERE!

Happy Birthday to the fab febbers today! Can't believe it was 3 years ago we were all shitting ourselves about giving birth and the SNOW! I remember Swampy panicking about getting to the hospital and me crying because my mum's flights were cancelled all because of the bloody snow!

Wow, 3 years.. and that list made me well up too. And to think I've done it all again since then, Frankstretch is 3 tomorrow and Ivystretch is 6 weeks tomorrow- where has the time gone?

We have got FS a scooter, a Gruffalo dressing up costume, a helicopter and Just Dance Kids for the wii, he is obsessed with dancing at the moment. No party here but family visiting during the day and then a birthday tea with his sisters and cousins at MIL's in the afternoon once all the big kids have finished school. We said he could choose where he wanted to go on Saturday for a little birthday trip out and he chose the Dinosaur Park. I think it might be a bit chilly at -2 forecast for tomorrow so might try and sway him towards soft play instead...

Enjoy the birthdays everyone!

(and I've loved 'knowing' you all for the last 3 years xx)

dinkystinky · 02/02/2012 12:39

Ah, sounds like Frankstretch is going to have a really lovely day MS! Danny LOVES dancing too - he's starting infant hip hop dance classes at the end of Feb (he did a taster and it was hilarious).

Happy birthday mini swamp. 3 years - wow! I was just finishing work 3 years ago and walking like such an old lady in the snow.

what else are the fab feb, not babies any more getting for their birthdays?

been a while since i've been on here (used to be kbn) but pop back to check in when i can.

dd does street and modern dance and ds tries to copy her - very cute.

xxx

stacysmom · 02/02/2012 13:29

Former Fab Febber reporting for duty! (Actually DD was early and just made it in to January but this is my spiritual home).

I was just idly looking at the post natal groups and wondering if we were still around and - boom! - there we were. Since DD arrived I have been lurking on MN constantly but only posting occasionally.

She turned 3 on Tuesday and almost overnight has reverted to the horrible, tantruming banshee we had at about 20 months... no fun. But birthday celebrations were lovely (Gruffalo party at home for her friends, lunch for all 3 sets of grandparents) and possibly she's having the comedown from that.

We also got DD a scooter, along with a Bontempi drum which Father Christmas forgot to bring down the chimney. Silly old Santa .

dinkystinky · 02/02/2012 14:00

Lovely to see you StillontheLine and Stacysmom and glad all good with you and your little ones. Danny is getting a TingaTinga monkey, a lego zoo (complete with sliding penguins) and a jigsaw puzzle (he LOVES them) and Octonauts book for his birthday from us.

SOTL - DS1 used to do hip hop dancing (he's gone off it now): that's how Danny got into it Grin Fully expecting him to want to do Karate now DS1's signed up for it too...

Evening all Smile
Sounds like FrankStretch will be spoiled rotten Grin
Happy bithday to all the febbers turning 3 in the next few days.
Luke will be 3 on Saturday. He is getting a dslite and a game from us and my parents have bought him a supermarket set. He does love his kitchens/tills/fake food and bags. lol

StillOnTheLine · 05/02/2012 08:55

I hope mini sm and frankstretch had lovely birthdays.

Snowman day today.

dinkystinky · 05/02/2012 18:29

Hope Luke and Frank had fab birthdays - I see snow arrived in their honour. Really made me nostalgic about this time 3 years ago when I was doing my nut about being heavily pregnant and housebound with a toddler due to snow Grin We were up at my parents this weekend (my dad is another fab feb baby, albeit quite a few decades before our little one) and went to a wildlife park on saturday in the minus 2 temperatures on Saturday for dad's birthday - Danny and DS1 loved it, as did my dad - then lots of playing in snow today before heading down to london. Hope you're all having fab snow days where you are.

OP posts:
SilveryMoon · 05/02/2012 19:14

Glad to hear your dad had a good birthday dinky

Luke enjoyed his day, liked his DS and had lots of fun playing with his grandparents. He impressed them with his memory whilst playing pairs.

Me and dp went out last night for a friend's birthday. Guanabara in Covent Garden. Brilliant night, but a bit hung-over today.
The boys haven't left the flat all weekend. Infact, they haven't even got dressed all weekend Blush

There has been a severe weather warning about ice, which will probably mean no work for me tomorrow.

dinkystinky · 07/02/2012 11:13

Happy birthday to H for tomorrow MoS - hope he has a fab day. And happy birthday to A for the day after SummerRain - hope he loves his presents and has a great day.

Thanks dinky, sorry I've been awol this week. I have 3 assignments due at the end of the month and have been trying to make some headway on them so had to self impose an MN ban.... I have a habit of lurking when I should be working and wasting hours!

I can't believe it's 3 years though, Saturday was his due date and I remember plodding around in the snow with dd and ds1 trying to shift him Grin

The animal park trip for Danny's birthday sounded fab (if a little chilly!) Glad to hear all your men (old and young) had fun Grin

Happy birthday to all the fab feb babies I missed and those still to come, and a special well done to all the fab feb mommies who were brave enough to go again since then Grin

MOSagain · 08/02/2012 12:59

hello all, sorry have been AWOL for a while. Belated birthday wishes to those I'm missed. Blush

Can't believe H is 3 today Shock Am feeling a little guilty as he is at nursery this morning but its his normal day so seemed daft not to let him go in, particularly as he'll have more fun there than home with me. Will pick him up a bit earlier than usual and DH is going to finish work early and we're going to TGI Fridays for tea. Hope its better than some of the reviews I've just read.

Had H's party on Saturday (thank god not sunday as snowed in here) and had a fabulous time. Had an entertainer for an hour then they had party tea and smashed the living daylights out of the smashcake my friend made (think chocolate pinata) and had a great time.

I also had a self inflicted MN ban for a week. Got a bit pisssed off with some of the loons that lurk on legal whose legal knowledge comes from a friend of a friend down the pub or from watching Jeremy Kyle so myself and 2 other regular lawyers went on strike for a week. Not sure if we were missed though.

All been a bit rubbish here. Had my 'health mot' at my gym a few weekends ago and I was 'flagged' as having high glucose levels. Won't bore you all but been a stressful time. Had a blood test last week and was supposed to see gp last friday but cancelled and told need another blood test. Apparently first one had 'abnormally high' levels. Hmm, well what does that tell them. Have another test tomorrow am (like glucose test some do in pregnancy) and a little bit anxious. GPs receptionist a cow and wouldn't let me see a dr or nurse until after test results. Go away friday am so now won't get results until a week friday and a little worried and just want to know if I had diabetes. Have a family history and essentially that is what my mum died from so somewhat distracted at the moment. Constantly thinking about cake and chocolate too which doesn't help Blush

SR sounds like you've had a pretty shit time too, hope all your car/tyre problems sorted now.

Hope everyone is doing ok x

dinkystinkyexpectations · 08/02/2012 21:22

Hi MoS - hope H had a lovely day today. How was TGI Fridays? Glad he had a good party at the weekend too but all sounds v worrying about your health tests - hope everything is ok and you see the dr soon. Health issues here too - seeing an orthopaedic consultant and have apparently done some real damage to my knee when I fell down the stairs. Banned from all sport of any sort (which is a huge wrench) and seeing him today to find out the true extent of the damage after MRI scan today. Ho hum.

On a happier note happy birthday to A for tomorrow. Good luck with all your assignments SR. I honestly dont know how you manage to study with 3 kids to juggle!

MOSagain · 09/02/2012 08:58

dinky oh no, poor you, hope you get answers soon. Thats the worse thing for me, not having answers. Once you know what problems you have, you can at least start dealing with it.

Happy birthday A

dinkystinkyexpectations · 10/02/2012 12:25

Hope A had a great day and happy birthday to M, Danny's birthday buddy today. Danny is having a LOVELY time turning 3 - up at 5.30 this morning as he was so excited it was his birthday and loves his presents (jigsaw and haribo from DS1 plus a picture of a giraffe DS1 drew, octonauts book and some animal duplo and a tinga tinga monkey from DH and I and jigsaws, sticker books and a talking hamster from his nanny - plus lots of jigsaws from grandparents who know how much he likes them).

Calico1 · 10/02/2012 21:41

Happy birthday to Danny! Dinky - hope you are chilling out now with a glass of something. Hope your knee thing isn't too serious - sounds painful.

MOS that's a worry - waiting for results like that is so stressful. Hope you get good news.

dinkystinkyexpectations · 10/02/2012 21:46

Thanks Calico - this time 3 years ago Danny was around 10 minutes old (and pooing on me Grin). Knee thing is a total bugger and a huge blow but it is what is and hopefully the op will make it all better.

SilveryMoon · 12/02/2012 08:40

dinky Hope you get some answers about the knee soon.
I finally went to the gp again about mine. She's given me some anti-inflam. tablets, they are helping, not nearly as painful but still wet clicking.

Happy birthday to all those that I've missed, hope everyone had a fab time.

oooggs · 12/02/2012 19:16

Hope everyone is ok? Nothing much to report here, just checking in really Grin

dinkystinkyexpectations · 12/02/2012 20:21

Thanks SM - I saw consultant this week and have ruptured ACL and shattered my cartilege so will need op (which will lay me out for best part of a month at least) to repair the damage as best they can. Not great but needs to be done. Hope your knee settles down - if the anti-inflams dont do the trick do make sure you follow up for a MRI referral to find out what is going on with your knee.

We had Danny's party today - 2 last minute cancellations due to illness so only Danny Ds1 and 4 other kids - but he loved it and had a great time and was delighted with his tinga tinga birthday cake, jungle cupcake, octonauts fairy cakes (all made by me and DH) and pizza, chicken tikka (my mum made), salad and jelly and icecream birthday party lunch. Good thing we had it earlier in the day as at 4.30 today the street down the road from us caught fire - electrical fire under the street apparently - there was smoke billowing down the road and no electricity in any of the houses on our side of the road for 3 hours. Finally got electricity back about half an hour ago - and heating again thank god - it was quite a cold dark 3 hours...
