Morning all.

We are staying a home but have invited one of my friends and her children to join us.

Simplyred · 31/12/2005 09:11

Morning!

I'll be in this evening!! We went out for dinner last night! and this evening we will have a take away chinesse (diet going well!!!) and play some interactive games (QI, WWTBAM, Test the Nation) and hopefully the litte people will sleep through all the fire works!

Ps - Rachel likes her room - shes just got up!

LadyLazarus · 31/12/2005 13:26

RedHelen - Simply Red (finsing it hard to keep up with all the new names!!): yes I have sort of been easing myself into my 'diet'... starting properly tomorrow with industrial exercising . Going to attempt that Kellog's 2 weeks challenge thing and see what happens. I'd like to lose 2st, although prob only 1 and a half is baby weight. Now where did I put those handweights?

PS has anyone heard from Franch / Boompi / Kiwifruit / Andif??!

mummyhill · 31/12/2005 13:37

Where's kiwikate as well?

Simplyred · 31/12/2005 19:05

Hello!

Large hello to everyone that may be reading but not posting??

I'd like to lose 2/3 stone! Not really sure what I weigh now and too scared to find out! Suspect it could be as high as 12 stone and I really should be 9! Most of this was gained in my first pregnancy (I kept losing most of it then gaining it again ) but have gained a stone having Rachel I think! I'll weigh myself in the morning!Going be great trying to lose 25% of myself - want to lose a good chunk of this by the time we go to America in early May! Spoke to a woman earlier that lost 10 stones in weight!

Have a great new years eve!xxxxx

mummyhill · 31/12/2005 22:04

Well children are in their beds asleep and dh is sleeping on the sofa. My friend came round for a couple of hours and we had a fair amount to drink and eat I am now waiting for the dishwasher to finish before I make up another 8 bottles. Am seriousley thinking of weaning at 16/17 weeks as david is getting through 6 - 9 9oz bottles in 24hrs it's not funny and he physically can't take more fluids but is still hungry. Will the hv shoot me do you think? I have also found his first tooth waiting to break the gum line and he is only 13 weeks. DD didn't have any teeth till she was 7 months.

Simplyred · 31/12/2005 22:43

Happy new year every one - and thankyou for all your support and wise words over the last six months since I joined the threadxxxxx

mummyhill - blimey David is a hungry chap - Rachel has 5 bottles of 6 oz's of the hungry baby milk (sma white) in 24 hours - going up to 7 oz feeds from tomorrow - shes 15 weeks.

bubbles2904 · 01/01/2006 10:26

hi everyone and happy new year. xxx
MUMMYHILL, mia is also a very hungry baby, she has about 6 bottles of hungrier baby food, 7oz but some have 8oz in them and she drains them. she also has half a rusk most nights too. i'm certainly thinking of starting the whole weaning process very soon, she's 17 weeks today. do what you feel is best for him and he will be fine, you will probably get shot down on mn for it as everyone is so against early weaning, not that it is early because the guidelines are from 17 weeks anyway. i watched a thread once and one of the reasons that people don't wean that early is because of inconvenience of blending food. doesn't bother me personally.
Hope everyone had a great night.
My baby weight is officially off now as i got my stone award on wed at sw, so now it's official, I'M JUST FAT LOL

bubbles2904 · 01/01/2006 10:42

ps, daisydot and rz haven't been around for ages either.

Simplyred · 01/01/2006 11:07

Morning

Wishing everyone a happy and prosperous new year.

My diet has started proper - 2 and a half stone to lose in 17 weeks until 30th April (thats 2 lbs a week) Well done Bubbles on losing a stone -I'm back to sw on Tuesday!!

bubbles2904 · 01/01/2006 11:14

the first step is always the hardest rh, you'll do it, i have faith in you. it's taken me 14 weeks to lose that stone and i have been really good too, but i put it down to not enough excercise because i'm on mat leave. i got my dance mat out last week and did 3 half hour sessions and lost 2 and half pounds over xmas so i'm doing the same this week and keeping everything crossed. i am godmother 2 weeks today to my freinds dd and i really want to be in the magic set of numbers so i'm trying to lose 5 and half pounds for then. (wake me up, i'm dreaming ) LOL my freind is really skinny and is only 5 pounds heavier now than when she got pg, and all the other gps are like twigs so i'll look huge next to them all never mind, at least i'm happy.

Harktheheraldcabewillsing · 01/01/2006 15:40

Happy New Year

Hope everyone had a lovely night.... we stayed at home (dp managed to make it!) he cooked trout and we opened a 10yr bottle of vintage champers... yummy yummy it had a caramel flavour behind the crisp fruity bubbly hit! VERY potent!

My poor little mite's got a cold that seems to be affecting his tummy too... keep having to dig him out of squitty nappies [hold the nose emoticon] If it doesn't settle by Tues I'll take him to the docs

Simply Red - I've got a stone and a half to lose to get back to pre-preg weight, I'm going to see if I can join in on the lose a stone thread.
Well done bubbles for losing a Stone

Must dash - baby crying x

pooka · 01/01/2006 17:54

I want to lose a stone - would then be lighter than pre-Tom but about a stone heavier than I was when I conceived dd. But I was running all the time then, training for Great North Run and TBH, think was rather scrawny. A bit too thin. Saying all this, have just demolished half a packet of choc digestives. Have to finish clearing out the bad stuff from the cupboards

mummyhill · 01/01/2006 19:04

Haven't seen teenmum for a while either.

Well diet is getting of to a good start with an imposed detox (nothing but water for me atm) due to gastroenteritis (SP)not a very fun new year for me i'm afraid.

Simplyred · 01/01/2006 20:24

Good luck with the diets - sorry about the sickyness Mummyhill.

WethreelittlebabiesOfOrientAre · 01/01/2006 22:58

Hello everyone,

Am new to this thread. I had dd in Sept, she is now 16 weeks old. Also have a 3yo ds who is lots of fun, as 3yos are

Had section with dd (my 2nd) which took a long time to recover from, still not feeling quite right. Never mind, just getting on as best I can! Dd is exclusively breastfed, been quite trying at times, like now! Don't know what's going on with my milk supply.

Hope you all your babies' 1st xmas and had a good new year. Look forward to swapping stories etc with you all

Simplyred · 01/01/2006 23:15

WethreelittlebabiesOfOrientAre - hello! What problem do you have since the c-section? Glad you can breast feed - I failed to (again!) after my section xx

WethreelittlebabiesOfOrientAre · 02/01/2006 00:22

Hello SimplyRed,

I just found the recovery time longer as it was my second, had sore tummy and trouble sitting up for what seemed like ages. Probably worse having to run round after a toddler too instead of putting my feet up! Also been unlucky with both sections, having had large pph and blood transfusions which means next baby (I say yes, dh says no!) will be section and last one.

P'd off with breast feeding ATM. Been expressing on and off for couple of hours and have 1 measly ounce. Anyone know if that means I have no milk? Dd been quite squirmy and agitated today whilst feeding, apart from breakfast as obviously have loads of milk after night without feeding. So want to carry on feeding as couldn't with ds.

LoveMyGirls · 02/01/2006 09:04

im a bit worried, anyone else's baby not drinking much milk? jess is almost 14 weeks and only has about 4oz per feed.
how old are your lo's and how much do they drink per feed?

bubbles2904 · 02/01/2006 10:06

Good morning all, i promised myself i'd stay away from mn today LOL, i lasted about 45 minutes.
WethreelittlebabiesOfOrientAre, welcome to our family my dd was 17 weeks yesterday, and i have a 6 yr old.
LOVEMYGIRLS, Mia drinks between 6-8oz every feed and most days she has 6 but sometimes 5 sometimes 7. she is putting on roughly 1/2lb a week so i'm happy. my friends dd is 13 weeks today and she has around 5-6 bottles of 5oz

Simplyred · 02/01/2006 10:21

Hello all!

Rachel is 15 weeks and has 5 bottles of 6 ozs.(in 24 hours) I'm just putting it up to 7 ozs on a couple of feeds aday.

Cabe · 02/01/2006 12:05

Hello Everyone - Busy here! How nice

Welcome ThreeLittleBabies - I think I've seen some of your posts from other threads... I've said it before, we're all lovely here, it's a really nice thread

Conrad's not so snuffly today and quite happily playing with his toys on his bouncy chair... he's starting to grab things and co-ordinate his movements much more... DP's e-mailed me the pics he took yesterday so I'm going to try to post one up

I've shed my Christmas name, I was going to keep it 'til 12th night but think I'd better change back for the lose a stone thread. I'm going to have to find a pair of scales.

LoveMyGirls - Conrad's breastfeeding so I'm not sure how much he takes. I was worried about his growth as he fell from 50th to the 9th percentile but he's following the 9th now and I'm completely happy with that.

Mummyhill - tried to e-mail you to wish you a happy new year in return... lovely pic of you and the littlies I'll try again later.
Hope you recover from nasty tummy very quickly x

Must go x

LoveMyGirls · 02/01/2006 13:56

thanks everyone i think ill have a chat with the health visitor on thursday and see what they think, jess is putting on weight but im not sure how much but i can get her weighed on thursday

milwardmincepies · 02/01/2006 14:03

WethreelittlebabiesOfOrientAre - expressed milk production doesn't indicate how much milk you produce by bf. Bf on demand makes the right amount of milk for your little one. I can't express any but have bf mine.

pooka · 02/01/2006 14:14

Threelittlebabies - ditto what Milward said. ds is now 16 weeks and has been on a bit of a nightfeeding frenzy but settled well last night. Think another growth spurt? I also find that unless I express at the same time as feeding ds on other side I get very little (if I do it that way get tonnes - never get a let down when expressing any other way). Expressing is NOT an indication of how much milk you have.
