Hello .

I am here but very busy with trying to make house look a bit tidy/clean etc.

When will I feel Christmassy? Hope it is VERY soon.

Welcome all newcomers and Merry Christmas to all, in case I don't get on here again soon

jinglebellslady · 23/12/2005 16:41

Happy Christmas to everyone, and welcome to loopyredangel, just bathing in the aftermath of complete stress with operations, new baby, (she still feels new) and christmas along with my own feeings of inadequacy and guilt etc etc . Thanks everyone for your kind wishes . I'm completely with you DTHWBOM, i am on a downward slide to the depths of despair now all the stress of the op has been and gone. My dh said i was remarkable and he didn't think i would cope this week however now its taking its toll and the kids are getting the brunt of it. I'm trying to hold it together for xmas but feel like i'm slowly going under.
love to all and xmas hugsx x x x

Simplyred · 23/12/2005 17:42

Simplyred · 23/12/2005 19:40

loopyredangel · 23/12/2005 22:52

2sleepstilxmas my DS was born on the 4th September also.
Simply Red - I just feel tired all the time, everything seems to take 3 times as long as before, I think I miss my independence, having SPD has knocked me for six, it's not just a case of nipping out to the shop, I need help with DS! MOAN!MOAN!MOAN! Been lucky on the colds and bugs front, just feel run down. Does your tummy still hurt from the C Section.

Thanks for the welcome everyone. Have a great Christmas x

jinglebellslady · 24/12/2005 09:17

Simplyred · 24/12/2005 09:26

Morning - Christmas Eve!

loopyredangel - Does the spd still cause you pain?? - and yes my c-section scar still feels bruised if I press the skin and aches a little sometimes if I over do it - but its getting much better. Its very difficult especially heavy lifting - I try to avoid carrying dd in her car seat - but its usually unavoidable.

Starting to feel a little christmassy!

lastsleep · 24/12/2005 09:56

Morning all (not a very good one), well iwent for my works night out, never touched a drop of alcohol as i didn't want to spend all of xmas eve with my head down the toilet and i've woken up with diahhorea(sp?)and feeling sooo sick, sorry i know tmi for this time of day but never mind. i should of got bladdered i'd have probably felt great now LOL.
SIMPLYRED, as you can probably guess, i've been feeling christmaqssy for ages now, probably about 4 months LOL
Went to a warehouse near us yesterday thats got 50% off toys, was gonna buy some of next years but there wasn't much there. got mia a lovely m&p rocking ladybird, but that wasn't reduced sttill only £29 pound and it's £60 in the elc apparently.
Got to go brave tesco now for my bread and bacon for our traditional xmas day breakfast butties, my dad still phones me at 6 and comes to watch dd open all her pressies, god i'm ill and still so excited.
Sorry you feel that way jinglebellslady, my dp also says "it will soon be january" little shit. i don't suppose it's easy to live with a overenthusiastic pain in the arse like me though Going to play mother xmas too ho ho ho

isawjaamykissingsantaclaus · 24/12/2005 10:04

Just a quick post - unusual for me, I know - to say HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!!
Not posted for a while - far too busy which is why I'm managing to keep myself from feeling down. I suspect that when it's all over I might get a bit down in the new year. Hugs to all who are feeling a bit depressed.
JBlady - hope the operations went well and you can now enjoy christmas.
Cabe - you must be so proud of your little girl - WELL DONE Nandy!!!
HOpe all have a lovely peaceful (or mad, whichever you prefer) Christmas.
See you in the new year.
T x

Simplyred · 24/12/2005 11:00

lastsleep - oh no I had the squits and the sicks last Sunday! Still got grippy tummy today! Better hoover, then deliver pressys - going to nativity at church at 4.

whensarahgotstuckupthechimney · 24/12/2005 12:04

Merry Christmas everyone! I am so excited this year and this is despite DS1 going down with chickenpox yesterday! It was inevitable as 27 from nursery have it and it all came to a head when he did a spectacular faint/pass out at Father Christmas's feet yesterday then we just watched the spots pop out dramatically from then on! Poor guy - he's doing really well and hasn't been aware of the spots yet so let's hope that all his prezzies take his mind off any future itching.

I'm also on a festive high as all the builders and workmen have now gone and we can finally start to clean up and start looking forward to decorating etc. It's so weird to imagine that Tom has never known any difference as we have lived in chaos since he was born!

Hugs to all those of you who are not feeling so festive and lots of get well wishes to all of you and your families under the weather.

PickasillyChristmasName · 24/12/2005 16:47

Hope you all had a lovely christmas day!

Simplyred · 26/12/2005 22:25

loopyredangel - I'm so sorry to hear your still in pain - is there anything the doctor can give to releave the pain and help stop it?

Hope everyone is having a good Christmas! Going out again tomorrow and looking forward to the forecasted snow!!!

mummyhill · 27/12/2005 20:46

Hello all.

Spent christams day with the in laws getting upset as they spoilt DD and DS seemed to be an afterthougt. I know there isn't much you could theoretically buy for a three month old baby but it still wound me up especially when the same thing happened on boxing day at my parents.

Still didn't feel particularly christmasy when can I take the tree down and try to get back to something resembling normal?

It just seemed like a real effort to do any of the christmas stuff this year.

The pnd support bods from the mental health team are comming out to do a house visit tomorrow yipee the whole place looks like a bomb has hit.

Sorry to be so depressing. It's part of the reason I haven't posted much recently cause I don't want to drag everyone else down with me.

Simplyred · 27/12/2005 21:09

mummyhill - Good luck with the home visit tomorrow - really hope they turn out to be some use to you. Thinking of you xxx

Been round three sets of relatives houses over the last 3 days - think I'm Christmased out!

Hit the Next and Debenhams sales earlier too and got Rachel's wardrobe for next Christmas - now is this A) very organized of me or B) really sad - considering she has far more clothes than me! Yeah think I know the answer

Harktheheraldcabewillsing · 27/12/2005 21:25

Oh Mummyhill - sorry it's not been a festive kind of Christmas for you, we don't mind you having a moan, lets face it, if anyone minded they could just choose not to read!

Conrad's just settled after yet another stimulating day for him... three day's running of house visits and jollification has taken its toll and he's really thrashed around and cried hard before settling. I'm determined that we'll spend tomorrow at home and just have a little walk for the air... he needs a calm day - he's done so well though travelling around doing the family and friend thing

Loopy I've still got pain from SPD (well I assume that's what it is) I love walking but it really makes it much worse, I'm kind of hoping that by getting into some kind of shape it'll get better of it's own accord... what is the treatment for the displacement of the pubic bones anyway? is there anything they can do or would it be down to physio?

House is empty now apart from me and the babe, Noop's been hijacked by friends for the night so I'm going to pour a wine - look at the ironing! and see if there's anything on the box

Nighty night everyone

PS Hope tomorrow goes well for you Mummyhill xxx
PPS Simplyred - have you got lots of snow yet ( if you have!!!)

Simplyred · 28/12/2005 09:18

Morning!

Harktheheraldcabewillsing we have a light covering of snow enough for snow balls - but not enough for snowmen and sleighing!!!! Hope every one has a good day.

milwardmincepies · 28/12/2005 10:26

mummyhill - lots of support & best wishes to you. hope the pnd team are helpful. Talking of mess - 4 kids xmas pressies have been unleashed on our house - bits & bobs everywhere!!

will catch up on all the posts - best wishes to all.

LadyLazarus · 28/12/2005 11:48
