Hello All

Only been being quiet because I've had the horrible task of sorting out my finances You know - re-adjusting Direct Debits and the like and asking how I managed to accrue £300 of bank charges in a one month period

Have just been to Sainsbury's to find I didn't have debit card on me - Have found out I left it in another store on Mon and they've destroyed it now - so can't shop til I get to the bank tomorrow Grrrrrrrrrr!

Calm-down Cabe... Take a deep breath...

Sorry for ranting + Sorry to hear Milward and It's Cristmas have nasty colds - hope you're feeling more the thing soon xx

itschristmas · 08/12/2005 18:55

PickasillyChristmasName - glad Alice is gaining weight just right too!

Sorry about the finances Cabe - I was worring about them today too - I should just sit down and work it out - face your demons and all that!!Had very expensive time with db's wedding, Spain and now Christmas - all on maternity pay of £105 a week! I havn't asked dh for any money and maybe I should!!

Sorry about the chicken pox and cold Milward - should think you are done in. Any chance you might get a rest at Christmas???

milward · 08/12/2005 22:19

thanks cabe & it'schristmas - done in is good description of how I am at the mo. As dh said this evening the chicken pox isn't a prob as only causes me a small increase in work!! - rant here!! - get 2 kids to school, go to bank, walk in rain with sick dd3 & ds4, get to the doc, go to pharmacy, have workmen fixing garage door all day, look after sick kid who falls asleep & has to be woken to go out & collect other kids from school, deal with after school home chaos of homework, meals, keeping battling kids under control, bedtime, dd3 cream on spots - getting a 2 1/2 yr old to agree to be covered in pink lotion is a task in itself, bedtime stories etc ....all the time looking after our 10 wk baby who has a cold & is blocked up. Just a small increase then.

milward · 08/12/2005 22:22

forgot to add - did this whilst feeling rubbish with my blocked up, nose runny cold. Fab

milward · 08/12/2005 23:18

just done an emerg bath as ds4 had pooed up his back whilst I wrote my last post!! dh went to bed as I started the bath. Was snoring when I went to put the washing out

cabe & itschristmas hope the finances are easy to sort.
jinglebellslady - I can't express either. Hope you got your night out.

Harktheheraldcabewillsing · 08/12/2005 23:30

Oh Milward - Men! They just don't think do they?

Am feeling a little better (sadly not better off!!!) for having as you so rightly put it IC faced 'my demons', I'm so awful at keeping tabs on my accounts and DP is just SO efficient - asks if this or that's been sorted which makes me feel inadequate. Well I always tell myself I'm good at more important things than dealing with money!

Hope your little people sleep well Milward xx

and everyone else too

milward · 08/12/2005 23:32

very true cabe. best wishes xxx

jinglebellslady · 09/12/2005 10:31

Simplyred · 09/12/2005 17:34

Hello does this work!

Simplyred · 09/12/2005 17:36

Hello - its me Redhelen/Itschristmas - I cant post as my alteregos today ??? so I have another name - simplyred!!!!

Sorry to confuse - having terrible day - cryed lots more details later.

Harktheheraldcabewillsing · 09/12/2005 18:21

Oh RH - poor you... {{{{{{Hugs}}}}}} xx

Simplyred · 09/12/2005 18:34

I found aload of images of a very pretty girl in skimpy clothes and underware in the picture file on our pc. It turns out dh does not know this girl but bought them on ebay - Really upset - it has made me feel really ugly and old - I did once have a good figure - but I know I'm a little over weight and 2 c-sections have really battered my middle! Of course my confidence has really taken a knock. Trying not to get upset as ds is dressing the christmas tree and its a special time for him....

Simplyred · 09/12/2005 18:49

Oh no.

There was a very bad car crash near us on the A1 yesterday 3 people died. Just heard on tv it was a mother, her 2 and a half year old son and 11 week old daughter - crying some more - and stopped feeling sorry for myself

Harktheheraldcabewillsing · 09/12/2005 20:46

How awful for you RH - how's DH at the moment? I'm sure he feels ashamed and rather silly for having bought the pictures. Still, this doesn't make you feel any more cherished and admired

I hope he finds the right words to say to tell you how irreplaceable and wonderful you are... I'll be thinking of you honey

What a tragic accident, her poor husband, losing so much; so many unsaid words and un-hugged hugs and un-kissed kisses. It's unimaginable how her family must be feeling

partypooka · 09/12/2005 20:51

Oh poor you rh. What a horrible thing to find. What has your dh said about it? You've just had a baby FGS, of course your body isn't identical to the way it was pre-baby. And if you had the choice of babies/previous figure, wouldn't you rather have the babies? You're a mother and that's fabulous whereas selling pictures of yourself scantily clad on Ebay is, frankly, sad and shallow.
Horrid news about the car crash, but don't feel guily for being justifiably upset. Have a selfish evening if you can, put your feet up and make your h grovel.

partypooka · 09/12/2005 20:54

God - more I think about the crash, though, the more upset I feel. Have just put lovely dd (2.5)to bed and Tom is asleep upstairs as well. Feel lucky to have had the chance to give them massive hugs/feeds (tom) and kisses. So sad.

milward · 09/12/2005 21:35

rh - sad news the poor family.

On the other part I've looked at my flab & thought goodness what happened! 4 kids, 1 cs & other major surgery is the damage. I'm proud of my stretch marks, the crinkly tum I have!! Agree with partypooka - happier to have my kids than my previous waistline

milwardmincepies · 09/12/2005 21:39

xmas name now!! love mince pies. Will have the first mince pie of xmas when we have our tree up. Will do this the weekend before xmas day.

deckthehillswithboughsofmummy · 09/12/2005 22:15

RH ((hugs)) why do men do such daft things? Sad to hear about the crash must be dreadful for the family especially so close to christmas.

Have made a plan with DH to get some jobs done at the weekend so maybe I will be able to put my tree up. Have told DD that we can't put it up till the house is tidy and she has been good because thats how santa knows that it's ok to call. He is going to karate in the morning then when he gets back I will take the kids out of the way so he can rewire the shower!! then on Sunday when he gets in from karate he is going to take the kids out so I can have a clear run of tidying the house (think i need longer than 1 afternoon what are the chances of getting rid of all three of them for a week?)

Mmmmmm mince pies gimme gimme gimme. One of my favourite things about this time of year.

isawjaamykissingsantaclaus · 09/12/2005 23:47

Doesn't the tragic news about that poor family make you realise how very lucky we are.
Redhelen/simplyred/itschristmas - what a silly man your H is! And what a sad individual to sell photos like that. Hop your H is grovelling suitably and remember, if he had a choice between you snd the tart, you'd win hands down. You've given him so much more than she ever could. x
Milward - re hospital visit and chickenpox - don't think it's contagious once the spots come out. Sorry to hear you aren't well. Difficult enough to nurse sick children when you're well. Get well soon!
Think we are finally getting over the colds in our house. Hopefully Abigail will be well enough for first jabs on mon.
Glad you had a nice (if short) night out, JBlady. DH and I went to a ball last night AND STAYED OUT ALL NIGHT!!!! Left DDs in the very capable hands of my DM who stayed over at our house. Abigail slept from 10 til 9. Think DM must have talked her to sleep!! Hoping for a repeat performance tonight as my gallivanting is really beginning to take its toll on me and we're out again tomorrow night.
Hope everyone else is ok. night night. x

isawjaamykissingsantaclaus · 09/12/2005 23:50

Oh, we've had our tree up since sunday, just not had time to get the decorations out and dress it. Have to try annd squeeze tha tin over the weekend.

deckthehillswithboughsofmummy · 10/12/2005 09:48

Arghh 15 days to go and I still haven't done any shopping (lack of funds till 23rd) written cards, got house tidy enough to put up tree!!!

Simplyred · 10/12/2005 10:51

Hello

Dh is not grovelling any way near enough - he worked till 10pm the other night and said he 'ordered' the pictures as a laugh with some of his workmates. Still upset. ds is playing me up to - don't feel at all valued by anyone.

partypooka · 10/12/2005 12:56

Oh I HATE the laddish, men in a crowd titilation thing . Like stag parties going to Spearmint Rhino "for a laugh". I don't think it's funny - just a little sad and tawdry. Basically RH, if you're upset then it's not very funny, is it? Fraid haven't any advice. Just sympathise. At dh's work they are constantly sending each other crude or offensive jokes/video clips/pron clips and it just makes me think less of dh's work colleagues (and him for entering into the whole stereotypical men thing).

Simplyred · 10/12/2005 14:36

Thanks Pooka

Yes I agree - men are sad creatures - he keeps saying 'I've said sorry - what more can I do' shall I say diamonds? I think so! Feel better now I've done my hair and put some lipstick on!

Very sad about the car accident - their pictures are in the national papers today - terrible Going to cuddle ds and dd (not dh )
