Are you OK bubbles?

Sorry no one was around last night.

Beatie, hope you're OK after the van incident - must have been scary.

DTHWBOM - glad that your FIL is OK, but I suppose you must still be worried about him.

I am feeling better . Alice and I are going to go out and do some shopping. I will probably be on later to complain

just realised DH left the iron switched on. I have now turned it off.

jinglebellslady · 07/12/2005 09:29

morning all, Deck the Halls- glad all ok. my FIL has been ill too and no matter how cantankerous (sp?) they are you can't help but love em! Are you ok bubbles? sorry you had no-one to chat to last night,
not feeling too bad this am, hope the day carries on this way although i've nearly finished the bottle of resue remedy!! maybe thats why i don't care about any thing anymore. Gosh rang yesterday and dh, myself, dd2 and dd3 can all stay in the patient hotel on the night before the op. Feel much better about that, but only one of us can stay after that in the hosp. Just got to find someone to have the other 2 for the week - any offers???

itschristmas · 07/12/2005 10:05

Bubbles - are you ok?

Jinglebellslady - where are you? - always pleased to help if I can xx

Really achy today - think I've strained my left arm?

Going to have Christmas pictures taken of dd and ds this lunch time!!!

'see you later' Rhxxxx

jinglebellslady · 07/12/2005 10:09

Thanks RH you're sweet, I'm in SE surrey, near Kent and W Sussex Borders. I'm sure that I'll find someone, it's just the organizing of it all and thinking about that too. nothing is ever straight forward is it?

bEATieDRINKandbeMERRY · 07/12/2005 10:32

Mummyhill - Glad to hear that FIL is ok.

PC - I hope you enjoy your shopping trip more than mine.

The lorry incident wasn't too scary. Being shunted by it made quite a noise so I am glad dd1 was not in the car as it would have scared her. Alice, incidentally, slept through it. I had her in the front passenger seat so I could see her and knew all the time she was OK. The lorry hit the back drivers side door. It has left minor damage but still shook me up a little.

Thanks for your concern

18sleepstilxmas · 07/12/2005 12:15

hi everyone, yes i'm ok, just was feeling really upset last night, please go to relationships, title, would this upset you? and let me know what you all think please.

Hooray - made it round Wilkinsons without either wanting to kill anyone, or anyone wanting to kill me (I think). And have managed to buy quite a few presents as well.

Have dug out some of our Christmas CDs from the shed - we have lived here since March and am listening to some now .

Alice is having a sleepy day. I had to wake her up and persuade her to have milk (which she did with much gusto) while we were out. She sleeps on .I am going to be busy and tidy the living room .

itschristmas · 07/12/2005 16:49

Urrrr - My ds(6)is driving me mad - he will do nothing that I ask, deliberatly pulls at dd to wake her up/make her cry - he laughs at the naughty corner and if I say he'll have a smack he says go on then! I know this is mainly due to my cold that I can not deal with this with my usual flare - but I fear more shouting and dread bed time!

Ps wondered why I was feeling faint - and realized I've only had half a sandwich all day! - must go eat!

URRRRRRRRRR RH!XX

Harktheheraldcabewillsing · 07/12/2005 17:11

Oh I've not got round to Christmas presents yet - well done PC for getting round Wilco! I thought that as soon as term was over I'd have so much more spare time... doesn't feel like it though!

IC - bluuurgh to 6 year olds! pains in the bum! Hope you've got something comforting to eat

itschristmas · 07/12/2005 19:06

Ds has gone to bed - no fight! tried good cop - as bad cop not working!!!

All calm in the mad house tonight!

Got some lovely pictures taken of the 2 of them -the Grans will be very pleased come Christmas Dayxxxx.

18sleepstilxmas · 07/12/2005 19:13

hi everyone, feeling much better today. thanks for your messages. couldn't think of a different name, but knew everyone would know it was me straight away. guess what tomorrows name is?

deckthehillswithboughsofmummy · 07/12/2005 22:43

oohhh let me gues could it be 17sleepstillchristmas?

deckthehillswithboughsofmummy · 07/12/2005 22:50

Thanks for all the kind thoughtd.

DD had her nursery play today (she was a reindeer) It was supposed to be quite serious but we all laughed till we cried through most of it whilst looking all proud of our offspring.

18sleepstilxmas · 07/12/2005 22:55

deckthehillswithboughsofmummy, the play sounds lovely, but how did you guess tomorrows name????? LOL

isawjaamykissingsantaclaus · 08/12/2005 00:24

Thanks hthCabews - as you can see I've managed to come up with a seasonal name of sorts all by myself! A-ha were fab though I guess you would have had to have been a fan first time round to enjoy it. As predicted Morten (lovely bum!!) and Mags are still very fit!!
dtHillswbofMummy - naughty FIL but glad he's ok for now.
18sleeps - I WAS around last night but not until 1am when I thought you'd have (very sensibly) retired. Friends, eh?? who'd have 'em?? Hope you're feeling a bit better about it all.
Attempted some Chrimbo shopping today in the Trafford Centre but far too tired after only 4.5 hours sleep last night so got a bit annoyed when I couldn't find anywhere to BF Abigail. Ended up doing it in the middle of Debenhams restaurant 'cos I refuse to feed her in a toilet or the corner of a smokey restaurant. DD1 had so many lying-down-on-the-floor tantrums that I lost count Not a very productive day.
Hope all ok. Jaam x

Greetings All

I am popping in to share a thread that is running about slings. How to use slings, types of slings and peoples stories.

HERE

Come have a read if your interested.

All the best

jinglebellslady · 08/12/2005 09:53

i like the idea of putting naomi in a sling but need to find one suitable for my dodgy shoulder. its all a bit confusing, too much choice. we've got 2nd jabs this pm, hope its ok i'm trying to go out tonight - leave dh with a grizzly baby that won't take a bottle or formula and i can't express!!!!

itschristmas · 08/12/2005 10:53

jinglebellslady - hope you manage to get out this evening! Where are you going to?

Still feeling thick with cold urrrr We didn't get up until 8.10 this morning and had to rush around to get ready in time for school.

milward · 08/12/2005 10:59

Hello all - will catch up on posts.

Here my dd3 has chicken pox since last night. Hope ds4 doesn't get it as he's only 10 weeks. She can't go to her school now until after the xmas holidays. I've got most pressie's & organisation done but still have somethings to do & more bits to get - so plans completely wrecked for this on a selfish note. Also she is difficult at the moment so tough times in store.

milward · 08/12/2005 11:02

Plus I have a cold & feel tired out. Had a checkup organised at the hospital next week but with dd3 having chicken pox don't know if I can go because there will be preg mums in the waiting area & they might be at risk from chicken pox. I'll call to see if I can still go. Have no one to look after her so she has come with me.

itschristmas · 08/12/2005 16:22

Hello

Everyone is quiet today!

Rachel is wearing her 'how many sleeps till christmas?' top today! She was weighed today and weighs 12'4 and is going along her growth line nicely from her red book.

ds and dh have gone to get their hair cut!
