Hello ladies, hope you found your way over here okay!

Our little newborns are newborns no more! :( :)

Hopefully a while yet before teething and weaning starts, but there's definitely a lot of wiggling and squealing going on already :o

Alys is such a cutie Gallic. Yep that's me with Ev.
Got back from London this afternoon and he was in a right mood with me, didn't talk to me for a few hours. DH got forgiven in about 5 minutes. How's that fair?!
First settling in session at nursery tomorrow

gallicgirl · 04/12/2011 22:37

She has her moments. You're looking pretty good there too fuzzy :)

I'm really surprised that Ev wouldn't talk to you! Worried about Alys going to nursery now. Mind you, she's a chatty little thing so I bet she won't be able to keep quiet. All gibberish of course.

Let us know how it goes at nursery - we've got our settling in sessions towards the end of the month. How long are you going for?

Flubba · 06/12/2011 19:30

bookmarking - this thread keeps falling off my list. Where is everyone?!

gallicgirl · 06/12/2011 19:40

Just busy with life and Christmas I guess. Only going to get worse as people go back to work.

Fuzzywood · 06/12/2011 20:02

I'm here after a night in hospital with Evan. He's had a nasty chesty cough so took him to the GP who sent us to hospital. Thankfully he's on the mend but it was a loooong night last night. Got to give him an inhaler every 4 hours as well so not sure tonight will be much better. Off to get some sleep while I can I think Smile

Flubba · 06/12/2011 20:17

:( Poor Ev. Sleep well Fuzzy

True gallic (although also :()

That's no good jjkm although glad you're feeling better. L is off colour again with a rash and a temperature, but I've spied a teeny tiny canine coming through, which explains the snots and temperature and we've been back to doc's who says it's not contagious at least.

We had an indoor picnic tonight. L loved traipsing over all our food and nicking it all! :):)

Fuzzywood · 09/12/2011 08:15

Oh poorly little people. Don't you just love the winter bug season!?!
Ev still not great so not sleeping well so we're all knackered. Do you reckon a 3 year old and 10 month old could be persuaded to have a pyjama day? Grin
Indoor picnic sounds fab Bubba. Hope L's tooth makes an appearance soon.

Is anyone else bored witless at home?

I can't wait to go back to work.

Don't get me wrong, there's plenty I could be doing like packing up the kitchen (new one fitted next week), making crumble for dinner, cleaning, but none of it's exactly mentally stimulating, is it?

Most fun I've had recently is trying to work out another MNer's Council Tax bill. I'm definitely not cut out for this SAHM lark.

Flubba · 10/12/2011 16:04

I definitely went loopy after about 9m with DD1 and was in desperate need of an adult and stimulating conversation. Partly why having my work essentially taken away from me this time round has been so blinkin' hard to accept. I've begun doing crafts as it's something I can do at home around the children and have now started a blog about it just to keep myself vaguely sane!

gallicgirl · 10/12/2011 16:11

I have a blog I haven't updated since April! I'm just a lazy arse.

Want to share? Mine is essexescapades.blogspot.com/. Suppose I could have a go at that.

Flubba · 10/12/2011 18:30

It makes for an interesting read - I would have liked to see what your answers were to the next question! :) I fear mine might head in that direction too, but for the moment it's giving me something to do although it's not the most mentally challenging! I always need a project to keep me busy and in five years' time we're planning on heading round the world with the children for a year or so (give or take, depending on our financial situation), so that's the intended direction of my next focus...

My blog is here... madebyyourstruly.wordpress.com/

Lovely pic Fuzzy. Smile Hope Ev is better after hospital.

jjkm - feeding tubes sound a challenge, must be difficult with little ones. My brother had one fitted but his went straight into his stomach and he wasn't able to knock it himself.

And more lovely pics Gallic! Is that an elf costume? So cute.

I'm not going back to work, I resigned last week and it's definitely the best decision I've made although I fear I may go loopy at home too. DH's job will take him away for up to a fortnight at a time and if we are moving away from friends & family then it seems wise that I'll be at home for a while. Plus, there's a hope for DC2 next Autumn Wink

We have our NCT Christmas party tomorrow, so Iz will be dressed up as Mrs Santa, she does have a Christmas pudding outfit on standby in case of exploding nappies etc. I will post pics of that and the wedding I promise!

RunningKatie · 10/12/2011 21:18

2 pics from wedding now added! :)

Fuzzywood · 10/12/2011 21:26

Ahh Running lovely pics.
Ev getting better but still very unsettled at night so matchsticks all round here. My biceps are getting a good work out though with all the rocking to sleep.

jjkm here's one for you...
You have a dark house with three lightswitches outside and one light inside (out of sight from the lightswitches). Only one of the switches works the light inside the house. You may press the switches as many times as you like, on and off. You may only go into the house once (and the light is not visible from the outside). How can you work out which switch works the light? :o

Lovely pics Running!! :) :)

gallicgirl · 11/12/2011 11:46

Put a brick through the fecking window so you can see the light from the outside.

Flubba · 11/12/2011 19:22

:o :o

RunningKatie · 11/12/2011 20:21

That's the one jjkm. :)

The brick is a solution. If your windows were blackout ones that is!??! Confused Wink :o

RunningKatie · 12/12/2011 13:02

I'm test-driving a Ford for mumsnet over Christmas, good job really as my car's died a death today so we couldn't go swimming.

gallicgirl · 12/12/2011 13:19

oh no! But great timing.

How's the weather with you? High enough for snow?
