Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

just - I love how Imogen has got very important words to start out with such as biscuit and chocolate - a girl after my own heart Wink

DH gone to bed again already, PIL left after their prolonged fleeting visit where they excited an already overtired A leading to her being a nightmare to get to sleep.

Thanks for all the lovely comments on alice

Evening all, Anna is finally getting ready to go to sleep, very late for her!! She spent an hour today solidly crying Sad, she has bruised quite badly after her injections and her wee skinny minny legs are bothering her, well that's the official explanation, personally I think she's just being a bit of a madam Grin It was funny I gave her a little Calpol and she was smacking her lips together at the "strawberry" flavour. When I was weaning I just gave them a taste of everything but to be honest I also gave a lot of jars as well, my two will eat or at least try most things especially dd2 and I was really lazy with her.

Anna is also constantly balling up her fist, stuffing it in her mouth, and doing lots of dribbling, taking a trip to Boots tomorrow, might have a nosy at the baby toys, we only have a few soft toys for her and although she loves her Mothercare small teddy, she keeps trying to stuff him into her mouth, he's already getting a bit whiffy Grin

angels beautiful photo

debka feathery stroker is from a Marian Keyes book, I think.

Right off to kiss Mr W off to work, saving the world from one speeding pensioner at a time.

hubbard86 · 10/05/2011 20:35

I did a mixture of babyled and purees for tom and will probably do the same again as i am pretty lazy and it's pretty easy.

well i'm writing from my new pink netbook and once i actually realise what i'm doing i will (try) and upload some photos.

went to the hv today and i am really starting todilike them. freya now weighs 11lb 5 but they're telling me she doesn't feed enough. i feed her when she's hungry as if i try to feed her when she's not i get it spat back at me. i've told them as she's been in the harness the last 7 weeks she actually doesn't want that much food as she can't move and isnn't using that much. It just really winds me up that they just assume that you don't know what your doing when your young.

when i was weighed last tues i've lost 3st since freya was born. bearing in mind i'm fat to begin with its just a drip n the pond.

hubbard86 · 10/05/2011 20:37

meant to say dislike

reastie · 10/05/2011 20:43

just to say I've gone and done a name change. It's slowangels. I know this'll confuse everyone and sorry - I just got so bored with the angels thing. New name is a play on my rl name.

ILovePonyo · 10/05/2011 20:54

Eek wiggles poor A, am still feeling nervous for dds jabs tomo! Sounds like lots of the babies are doing the dribbly/fist chewing thing now :)

hubbard I am jealous of your netbook, I only have dps boring old work laptop to type on. I know what you mean about hvs being judgy of young mums (not because I am one, I'm 30, I used to work with young mums and have seen how they are treated) If you're feeding when shes hungry what else can you do, if I try to feed dd when she's not hungry she spits it out and gets upset so carry on as you are I reckon. Well done done losing 3 stone :)

Hello angels reastie Grin

JustOneMorePlease · 10/05/2011 21:04

bensmum quite a few of my friends lo have a muslin as their comfort thing. If you a worried about it covering his face (which I'm sure would be fine as it is so thin) why don't you tie it in a knot in the middle to make it long and thin iyswim.

40Weeks · 10/05/2011 21:52

oh wiggles poor Anna, has she settled ok?

Hubbard new netbook sounds lush, I do love a shiny new gadget. My dh has promised me an iPad but he was tipsy, then said let's wait for the iPad3 so won't hold my breath!

bensmum I am sure a muslin will be ok, knotting it is a good idea. My ds1 used to pull his blankets up to his face to snuggle them. Its quite cute really.

40Weeks · 10/05/2011 21:56

Oh and yes feathery stroker is a Marian Keyes term, Anybody Out There (I googled it as it was driving me mad)

wigglesrock · 10/05/2011 22:33

40 weeks thanks, Anna's sleeping soundly now, last time she was just grumpy for a few days after.

Ponyo Don't worry about the jabs, think Anna was just huffy because it was the Health Visitor who she saw not the hunky dr from last time, I was a bit put out too Grin

Bensmum Wouldn't worry too much about the muslin, dd1 - Sofia always put something over her head to sleep, even now and she's almost 6 as she is telling complete strangers!!!!

ledkr · 10/05/2011 22:41

Id like abit of feathery strokery,dh is led on the floor as has just ran home from work,he hasnt mentioned my wheel spin earlier,he also doesnt know that his lack of affection is being punished by me going out with my friends on Friday Grin
hubbardi love my netbook,it comes everywhere with me even the bath.I wish i could lose 3 stone.
bensmum/Noahsbed all mine have had muslins they call them doodoo's D goes to sleep with one over her head but not at night and i remove it when she sleeps. She has one of those posh comforters with her name on it but prefers a sicky muslin.
Delilah was a nightmare tonight, not her fault cos her bedtime routine was interupted by a trip to brownies cos i was on my own i was really looking forward to settling down in bed to watch the apprentice too,i called her an idiot as i got her up for the umpteenth time and got daggers from Ella haha,i hope she doesnt tell them at school.

hubbard86 · 10/05/2011 22:58

if anyone is still awake i have uploaded pics of freya and tom.
bensmum freyas chosen bed is me. it gets really irritating when there are things that need doing and another child that need your attention. i had bought a sling but can't use it due to her brace so i gave it to a mummy friend to use. my dh calls her mummys girl as she will only soothe when she's in my arms. when it was nap time i needed to sleep too so i had her in my bed and we both fell asleep looking at each other it really was so weet and made me feel so close to her.

i have had a couple of sneaky cigs especially when i've been very stressed and wound up.

wigglesrock · 10/05/2011 23:01

Hubbard I can't get into your profile, is it public?

hubbard86 · 10/05/2011 23:32

hubbard86 · 10/05/2011 23:54

Btw I do love boys in bright pink, ds1 wearing one today!

byronicheroine · 11/05/2011 08:38

Morning, we had a good night here too, 40weeks we got 10-5 which is twice as long as he's ever gone... here's to some more of that. Just realised that he's managed to sleep just in time for the dreaded '4 month sleep regressions' I've heard so much about. great timing Hmm
Here's hoping he he keeps it up for a few more nights at least so that we can go out for an evening - anniversary coming up. When do I start dropping massive hints subtly organising a lovely evening? Now?
