mlic sorry its the next day so late, Ive only ever used a sauce, I tried making spag bol the other night without a jar but it came out quite dry and bland.
How did your pasta bake go down in the end? Apologies if you've already said.

Im finally getting my hair done today, paying rather a large amount for it, and its blarrrdy raining all day, not impressed.

What about in his cot tsc? Whenever I need to do something Jacob goes in either his cot, the travel cot/playpen in the kitchen or his jumperoo. He doesn't like it, but it's tough, I have to pee at some point.

Went to the HV today, J's been referred to audiology for a hearing test...they don't think he's deaf as he looks at noise toys, but they aren't sure if he can hear voices as he seems to just ignore them unless you have eye contact. Something to do with the frequency. HV is convinced its too early for him to be choosing to ignore us. Sad

kkfairybrains · 23/02/2011 14:16

ok so elmo loved the hummous- but wherever the stuff has touched her face is red. does this mean she's allergic to it or just sensitive skin that it might have just irritated it a bit?
tsc congrats on the job! if you do take it is frankie taking a bottle now? do you have a travel cot? put him in that and if he's happy enough in it just have him beside you in the kitchen where you can keep an eye on his breathing and eat. seriously you're going to get so run down. is dp going for a run this eve?

kkfairybrains · 23/02/2011 14:17

x post hg. i really hope they're wrong about him being deaf. does he respond at all when you talk to him?

kkfairybrains · 23/02/2011 14:29

just re read that last post and it sounds very rude hg. not that there's anything wrong with being deaf but it would just make life easier if he wasn't so sorry if that came across as ignorant

viksam · 23/02/2011 15:11

tsc man how annoying life is sometimes, why does it have to be so full on, why does f have to be poorly, what is wrong with him btw? what did u do in the end this morning? did u hear back off the job? i have to say work does sound like the easier option at the moment, i hate myself for saying that as i waited over 5 years for baby and now he is here im miserable and i have no right to be.
I went to the docs this morning but it wasnt my usual doc and he was very dissmissive, he did check D out though and said his wheeze could turn into bronchitus so to keep the humidity high so i went off to Argos and brought a humidifier. I tried to get D into the house asleep but no luck, it took me over and hour to calm him down enough to have another half hours kip. He rubs his eye with the back of his hand and has scratched the crap out of the corner of his eye, it looks well sore.
I didnt speak to anyone at the Docs especially not the doctor himself he was horrid, i wont be seeing him again, the HV was out. I just think its a really chllenging time with Devon at the moment but it will pass.

viksam · 23/02/2011 15:15

sorry meant to say hg when will that test be? I hope its soon so u can work on a solution asap.

Devons learned how to bounce himself in the bouncer buy pelvic thrust alone, very funny!

My auntie found a lump in her neck so had a biopsy a couple of weeks ago. She got the results today and it's lung cancer Sad she starts chemo in 2-3 weeks Sad

Dylthan · 23/02/2011 17:10

Sad The body of a 4yr old girl has been found in the grounds of the hospital I work in. I feel sick, I'm so glad I'm on maternity leave and not there. Sad

DesperateHousewife20 · 23/02/2011 17:12

My hair would have been 47 but with the £10 voucher it was 37, obv.

It doesnt look much different tbh, just got a side fringe again.

I feel like such a crap girlfriend today, DP called me at lunch to say someone had invited him to go watch arsenal tonight for free.
I told him to go but wasnt hugely happy as he wasnt around last night til half 10 (due to work so fair enough) he really wanted to go so I kept saying I cant make the decision for you, go if you want to or stay if you dont.

Eventually after much talking etc he said he wouldnt go but now I feel bad for practically making him stay here. This opportunity wouldnt have come around again but it would have meant him not being here til at least 11pm tonight.
