chulita what do you mean by the snowflakes website?

i was thinking about plastic forks too memphis as i wanted to copy hotg and put fruit on a fork for A.

found these on amazon

or these

had a nice day today, had dinner at a neighbours earlier (so nice being cooked for) then a stroll into town.

i'll set up a thread for book group - i'll add some 'instructions' when i do it

(belatedly) on the subject of rowing with dh -
we've only ever had a couple of serious rows but we both really speak our minds so we have disagreements most days Grin. We'll both shout (him more so) and he'll swear too (i only do when i totally lose it a couple of times a year). He's a bit of a sulker whereas i don't have the patience for it and want to sort everything out immediately, i can only sulk for a maximum of half an hour and i get bored and want to talk again! He can annoy me like no other but really i adore him Smile

oh and had a very nice cuddle in our bedroom today when both babies were down for naps in their own rooms Grin

Sorry cake this snowflakes website

Chulita · 20/02/2011 20:52

just noticed the offer's not on anymore though, I got ours as soon as I saw it cos they're freaking expensive!

Stac2011 · 20/02/2011 21:36

it is the bottom one mlic she is still quite grumpy so wondering if theres more. Is W still grumpy with it?

I got plastic forks from home bargains for 99p memphis, forgot i had them.

Sounds like a lovely day cakes. You and your dh sound like us but i tend to ignore him and he hates it (doesnt happen much)

Got my moses basket sold so freed up some space. How do i set up ebay?

memphis83 · 20/02/2011 22:23

thanks for link cakes i never think to look for things like that on amazon, will have one last look tomorrow in babies r us and if not will order them!
stac we dont have a home bargains here, i always go to one up north when wisiting family!! setting up ebay is easy im rubbish and managed it, go on ebay sign up for account, follow info, add pics onto computer ready then go into sell, quick sell, starting at 99p means free advert or you can set a buy it now or minimum price, it fives advice like what is it eg baby/feeding/nursery etc then add pic then add description i always put only to mainland uk and will let item run til the end of auction or i always get hello will you post to europe and will you accept £1.50 to end now??
dh away tomorrow til wednesday and no support group this week, lets hope im still sane at the end of the week, doubtful unless we get a tooth in next few days!!!

Stac2011 · 20/02/2011 22:41

memphis and anyone else looking for plastic forks if it helps any I could get some and post them to you (not a mad stalker honest)

Thanks for the info memphis. Its just to sell the car chair. Just wandering what you guys thought was a good price to sell the maxi-cosi cabrio with easy fix base? It cost us nearly £200 and is in great condition

Spirael · 20/02/2011 22:42

[pops in] Got my plastic forks from Tesco, MLIC. :) Came with a spoon too, in pink or blue. [rebelliously got blue]

It's my birthday today, so we took M out for a curry at lunchtime at our favourite restaurant. We arrived early and were the only ones there for the whole meal, so had lots of attention from all the staff. Grin The chef made our usual dishes with less spice so that M could try them all, she loved everything and ate so much!

(Not looking forward to tomorrows nappies...)

I've been on eBay too recently... Though in my case I was buying a British power adapter for my USA xBox360, as I'm getting sick of using a step down converter... [geek]

Interesting to hear about everyone elses purchases though. :) For carriers, I use a Didymos sling wrap. I love it! I do normally use the travel system, but on a few occasions where the travel system just wasn't practical, the Didymos has been great. Works for my DH too, as we're totally different sizes.

Anyway, bedtime! [vanishes in a cloud of smoke]

CakeandRoses · 20/02/2011 23:38

woo - i think i just saw spirael Gone! Grin

good luck with the nappy! i'm dreading what tomo will bring in that dept here too as A is working to a one poo a day policy now and she only did a tiny one this morning and ate tons at dinner this evening. her poor tummy looks ready to pop. she's been up crying with wind but still took a massive bf just now

that's a lovely offer stac re forks, i'll have a quick nose around the shops tomo first before putting you to the trouble.

memphis do come on and talk on here as much as you need to get thru the week. happy to give you my email address or phone number if you still need to talk some more

book club

have started a thread here

but annoyingly it has a spoiler in my first post (i copied the questions from another site and read it before i realised Angry so be careful about reading it if you haven't finished the book yet.

i reckon it might be too hard to coordinate a real-time 'meeting' so how about we give ourselves until this wed and then we can start posting as we're ready/have time?

Stac2011 · 21/02/2011 00:00

argh mlic, sounds awful Sad. when i'm up feeding A at night I often wonder what you're doing!

memphis83 · 21/02/2011 08:22

spirael hope you had a great day, L loves curry now too!!!
stac thanks will try today as going baby shops with sil and if not will ask you to get me one! look on ebay for prices they seem to go for ok money on there!
we had a mega n=appy last night it smelt so sour, dh started it and sounded like he needed help, as he undid nappy L put his foot in it, it was like glue! then he grabbed his bits (which were covered in poop) then when i pulled his had away the other hand appeared holding a dummy, he was laughing his head off! it ended up all over the other foot too and all over our hands!! so needless to say he had to have another bath, was very funny even if the dummy had to go in the bin!!! Grin

DesperateHousewife20 · 21/02/2011 08:27

Dylan seems to now wake at 3am then every hour after that Confused

We were seriously considering CC as I dont think he will respond to anything else but dont want to do it now in case he is teething.
I dont see how we could ever do it, how do you even know when they're teething or not?

Happy birthday for yesterday spirael!

HotGiggity · 21/02/2011 08:59

I seriously think I'm going to keel over, Jacob got up at 10.30, 12, 1, 3, 4, 5 and 6 (when DH got up with him) wouldn't go in his cot so came in the bed with us which means I don't get any sleep.

DH let me sleep in this morning cos he's loly, but I awoke to Jacob blood curdlingly screaming at 8 and tried to get out of bed but ends up of the floor as my legs had gone to sleep. It wasn't the best start to the day. He then carried on screaming til about 10 minutes ago when he went to sleep.

cakes I think you might have the wrong person, I don't use a fork with Jacob, he'd just poke it straight in his eye.

Mlic- theres no doubt we are disturbing each other, hes in our bed and I roll over and tug the duvet which is underneath him so he wakes up.
Im going to put him in his room, still feed him to sleep so hes used to the cot/room then try putting him down awake.

Spirael · 21/02/2011 09:44

Morning all! Thanks for the birthday wishes. :)

Belatedly joining the car seat debate... M is currently still in her Britax Baby-Safe rear facing with a seatbelt dock (no ISO). I'm intending to keep her in that for as long as possible, but we've acquired a Britax Evolva (front-facing) for when she does get too big.

I'm another one driving a Ford Fiesta... The passenger seat is already pushed pretty far forward with the existing seat in situe, there's no way I'd be able to get a bigger rear facing one in there!

HotGiggity · 21/02/2011 09:45

For every tooth J's had so far the entire gum in front of the tooth has gone white, especially with his top two, in fact I'm pretty sure last night was all about tooth number 5, at this rate he'll have all his teeth before he's 1.

DH have you tried white noise? I find that when nothing else will work, white noise will knock J out, but only for 45 minutes or so, as with naps, if I want him to sleep longer, he has to go to sleep on his own, it's such a PITA.

MLIC I guess with two little ones around the chance for sleep during the day is pretty much zero Sad, maybe try to get an early night?

Spirael · 21/02/2011 09:48

Oh, and yes, I load fruit on a fork for M. :)

Stac2011 · 21/02/2011 10:33

another crap night here, up at 1.30, 3, 5, 6 and 8. I wish she had her own room as I feel wee disturb her too. Dp is meant to be off from wednesday so looking forward to some help.

hg hope your day gets better. Will you nap when J does?

mlic we've been awake since 8 and i have done bugger all except get ds to school. You should enjoy your rest so you feel up for what you have to do.

spireal i'm in a ford focus but its short seatbelts that caused us problems

I'll have a look on ebay, thanks memphis what happens with postage & packaging?

dh i'd go for his own room see how you get on

DesperateHousewife20 · 21/02/2011 10:36

White noise works if hes being rocked or something, I find too if he falls asleep on his own in the buggy/car he sleeps longer.

Oh I forgot to say earlier, he bum shuffles!
It started with him just rocking on his bum but at DPs dad's house ysterday he was doing it so much he was moving forwards!
