Hope you got more sleep last night, Sea.

BellaDesconocida · 10/03/2011 12:03

Hi all, just about to post & now DD is making waking up noises! Will catch up later, hope all well, hope sleep improves, nymph thought of you the other day when I saw a truck from tonks recycling.

Have just ordered Amber bracelet

Bye for now Hermya take care of yourself & see you again soon

BellaDesconocida · 10/03/2011 12:23

False alarm! Back in land of nod. I should join her but treated myself to caffeine. Foolish.

dontstop how frightening! Glad all ok
elsa lol at giant boobers (autocorrect thinks I want to type "boogers") glad you had a nice break
tired :-( at poor baby tired & relentlessness for you, glad he's turned a corner with it
nymph that's so cool about your DD, good for her & hope work works out!
Tyson the Topeka sounds great, lovely idea
Sam oooh lovely re being a bridesmaid, do you know what colour/ type of dress you'll be in? Feel in the mood for thinking of pretty dresses Smile
nohun maybe he feels happier at home coz used to the environment, he might settle once he's used to going.

DD has giggled properly! then not again for over a week, had a fit of giggles this morning though, so cute!
Also rolled from front to back thrice, but days apart each time.

BellaDesconocida · 10/03/2011 12:24

Topeka??? wth? Meant TODDLE

Elsa123 · 10/03/2011 17:35

The Big Topeka! Yes I can see how that could look like toddle to an autocorrector! Grin. Good lord its windy today. DD and I nearly got blown over when we were out. The dogs loved high winds up their noses though!

Just been craving some form of cake so made some chocolate cookies...yum. Just scoffed 2 with tea. They are luscious and balck with dark chocolate Grin.

Elsa123 · 10/03/2011 17:39

That would be black {channels Bella}

nymphadora · 10/03/2011 17:45

H- I tried last week as I came close to being recognised but I got sucked back in by trying to just do this thread Blush going to have to namechange soon to be a bit more private

Re work they are making 40 of my grade redundant so I could have had to interview to keep my post but now I dont. BUT now they've screwed up my pay!

Elsa123 · 10/03/2011 20:42

It never rains and all that Nymph.

Got DD off to sleep dead easy this evening....I think she's planning a midnight awakening....

nymphadora · 10/03/2011 20:47

Envy elsa am still feeding & ready for bed about 3 hours ago. Still on 2 hourly feeds. Am totally drained.

Feeling v down today & v anxious. Think the pay think os tipping me^ over.

Elsa123 · 10/03/2011 23:17

Sorry Nymph, wasn't gloating. I hope your DD has had her fill. I heard that prolactin can get you down a bit. Its one hell of a growth spurt your DD is on. How is the weaning going?

DD isn't into food yet, but to get her to sleep she has 210ml from a bottle then a full bf- I know not hat helpful as your DD isn't into bottles is she?. If I didn't do that I think she would be feeding continually too as the times when I haven't been bothered with bottle feeding as it is a faff, she feeds every 3 hours. She used to go to sleep at 2030 and sleep 12 hours, have a feed then sleep til lunch. That all stopped a month ago. Now with the monster evening feed fingers crossed she'll sleep til between 0400-0600 but there are no guarantees. Also, like your DD daytime napping is for wimps Hmm.

Oh, the other thing I've been doing is eating more and drinking fennel tea to try and boost my supply.

nymphadora · 11/03/2011 08:05

Grin elsa I wasnt offended just jealous! Weaning not going anywhere. She asks for food but nothing goes in yet. Occaisionally banana mush makes it into her mouth & cones back out.most other stuff gets lifted to her mouth, dropped & a good fist sucking commences. She really yells for toast but as soon as she touches it she is disgusted! Doidy cup going down well but I actually need time to express for her to have it so it's not every day. I didn't want to wean yet so it's working quite well as she gets the food that she wants & doesn't eat it like I want!

sam12 · 11/03/2011 10:01

Bye Hermya hope you get things sorted and we see you back here soon.
Bella she doesn't want traditional type of bridesmaid dresses- at the moment the favourite is a lovely summery Ted Baker dress which I think will look brill and I will be able to wear it again.
Another friend who is getting married in May has asked me to do a poetry reading at hers as well- although am very touched (especially as she said she wants some of my lovely marriage to rub off on them) am also rather nervous! And it will mean leaving dd for the first time overnight Sad
nymph I've been thinking of name changing lately too. One of my friends has made a few mumsnetty comments and I don't want to be outed. We are at about the same stage as you with weaning she yells for the food but looks disgusted when she gets it into her mouth and spits it back out. Although when dh naughtily gave her a little piece of chocolate she ate all that happily!
Going to look round a nursery this afternoon Sad Even if its the best nursery in the world I won't want her to go.
Hope everyone else is good and looking forward to the weekend

Elsa123 · 11/03/2011 11:21

Morning! Nymph I hope you got a better night with your DD3. Sam12 that dress sounds lovely.

To answer previous questions- yes my hair has started shedding at its driving me nuts so its tied and hairsprayed back as the loose hairs tickle like mad.

No I don't bother to pre wash DD's new clothes before she wears them and she's not shown any reaction. Allergic to Fairy, but not allergic to what ever industrial stuff shops dip their clothing it! I did wash all her sleepsuits I got from Asda before she was born then she hardly wore them as they were huge on her 5.5lb frame then when she was big enough for them, she went into the pavlik harness and couldn't wear them!

nymphadora · 11/03/2011 12:18

Not really Grin 5 feeds. Been back to GP for different cream & he showed us a chart of typical allergens with eczema (in creams) so went through what we had and what could be the problem. This cream we had for dd1 so hoping that's a promising sign! Having a stock up day today & made 3 lasagnes & soaking fruit for tea bread.

Elsa- my hair is driving me mad too!

Elsa123 · 11/03/2011 14:28

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I have enough spaniel hair floating round the house without adding mine to the bargain.

Just got back from the V E T with spaniel as the sore shoulder isn't better and he's a bit miserable with it. He's got an anti-inflammatory called Loxicom. The vet told me that it tasted nice (I wondered if he'd personally tried it) and spaniel would eat it with biscuits. It comes with a syringe which squirted down the side of the dog bowl when I tried to 'ice' a biscuit with it. Nevermind I thought, spaniel will lick it up as its meant to be nice tasting. Nope. Won't go near it. Limping like Herr Flick now.....

CheeseEnforcementAgency · 11/03/2011 17:48

Just road testing a new name. Still not sure but the one I wanted had gone!

TysonNobdie86 · 11/03/2011 19:49

Who are/were you cheese? :)

CheeseEnforcementAgency · 11/03/2011 21:45

Sorry its Nymph! Gone with another of my favourite books!

TysonNobdie86 · 12/03/2011 13:03

Oh Hello Nymph/Cheese. Grin

tiredfeet · 12/03/2011 19:42

What book is it from cheesea?

sam how was the nursery? I see how much my nephew loves his nursery so I think great ones can really enhance a childs life but am sure its still hard. Nursery places sooo hard to get here, makes me feel a bit trapped, as it might just not be possible to work.

Had a fun day today, had a friend visit who's a veeeerry big cheese, but lovely, ds adored him and was straight in there chewing on his finger and beaming at him, think it was so lovely for our friend to have that interaction, as its such a break from his high pressure life and nice for him that ds has no idea who he is so doesn't alter his behaviour if that makes sense?

elsa hope you manage to get some medicine into your dog

hermya we will miss you, come back soon Smile

Right am shattered ds finally asleep its time to rest! Struggling with all the news at the minute, so sad for Japan but also on a personal level struggling with the tsunami footage as I lost a friend in the boxing day one Sad

tiredfeet · 12/03/2011 19:43

Wow sorry I just wrote the longest sentence ever. And then went all gloomy on you all. Been a long day!

CheeseEnforcementAgency · 12/03/2011 20:36

It's understandable tiredfeet! It's from the Thursday Next series by Jasper Fforde. I'm not v happy with it so still looking for another one though

tiredfeet · 12/03/2011 21:03

Not sure what reminded me but did you have any luck working out what was making your dd be sick when you put her in cot cheese?

BellaDesconocida · 12/03/2011 21:50

tired Sad how awful

shieldbug · 13/03/2011 07:25

aargh can't get back to sleep after 6am feed.

tired I can't get some of the images out of my head from Japan, it's just so awful, and it must be worse if it has a personal resonance. Thinking of you.

hermya don't suppose you'll be reading this, but good luck and hope everything gets sorted in RL.

elsa lol at your dd trying to suckle random women! Grin ds tries to suck on men as well (he's not fussy!). A friend told me her ds gave her dp a mark like a love bite on his arm he sucked so hard.

cheese had the name thursday next gone? i really liked nymph as a name, but so completely imagine you looking like tonks in the film. Hope dd3 is sleeping better, and starts to go longer between feeds. You must be exhausted. (sorry for stating the obvious).

Ds managed to sit up on his own for the first time yesterday (we should really have a proud mum emoticon). Does anybody else still find they can hardly believe they've got a baby (ifyswim)? I suppose it's because he's the first.
