I haven't weighed DS in ages either. He feel heavier by the day though, and growing out of his outfits, so I have no concerns.

Ah, that's encouraging, ft, thanks! :) All keep your fingers crossed for me!

NoHunIntended · 04/03/2011 21:57

*feelS!

nymphadora · 04/03/2011 22:18

We have a scenic

Help here if you can please! We can't work it out

dontstopmenow · 04/03/2011 22:41

We have a scenic too!
Nymph have looked at your link and I have no clues. How odd.

DD turned over from front to back the other day and I was sooo pleased but she has refused to do it again and just shouts at me until I turn her back. Ho hum!

We had a major panic today as DS (3) tipped her out of her car seat where she was sleeping but not strapped in (my fault). She landed right on her head and obviously, just lay where she fell. Luckily I was only 10 steps away so got there v. fast and she was fine afterwards but it was so very scary. I think he is starting to get fed up of always being second in line for attention.

Goodness Hermya 16lb. That is lots! I have no idea what DD is to be fair but I think its about 12 lb. I bet he is lovely and cuddly with wonderful chins!

TysonsSonicScrewdriver · 04/03/2011 23:15

Dontstop how scary, my ds can get abit jealous too.
Sophie has been asleep nearly all day today and yesterday. having bottles and thats it, she isnt right but think its still teeth and a cold coming. :(

NoHunIntended · 04/03/2011 23:18

nymph, sorry to read about your DD's sleep/sick issues. I can't really advise. Can you not just keep her co-sleeping?

dontstop, hope it wasn't from any great height - could have been worse.

shieldbug · 04/03/2011 23:49

hermya ds is 16lb too, but is quite long so isn't too podgy...oh, who am I kidding? He's a chunky monkey!

nymph could it be reflux?

don'tstop thank goodness dd is ok. Congrats to her on turning over.

tyson ds is all Sad with a cold too. He's being what dh calls "velcro baby", where all he wants is to be cuddled. Not that I mind Smile.

tiredfeet · 05/03/2011 00:29

We haven't been to health visitor as their clinics are at such annoying times but weighed ds ourselves last week and he is 18 lb! He is very tall but also quite chubby, with the biggest cheeks I've ever seen!

nymph sorry to hear about dd, I hope you manage to figure out what's causing it

dont stop that must have been a horrible moment!

nymphadora · 05/03/2011 08:25

Don't stop- scary!!!

Re the sleep thing, co-sleeping is leaving me knackered as she claws at me all night. Not reflux as she doesn't get it if she co-sleeps. One night she went in with me first & wasn't sick til we moved her at 2am

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes · 05/03/2011 12:12

Happy weekend everyone! Good to hear everyone is doing well. LO finally got weighedlast week and is comfortable on the 75th centile for height and weight :) she also finally sat on her own!

Hermya321 · 05/03/2011 17:22

Dontstop Oh dear, I hope you're all ok.

Nymph Owww I've had claw marks on me from where DS has decided to sharpen his talons on me. It blinking hurts when he gets the nipple.

What highchairs have people got? I need one that will fold up as we have barely any space in the house as it is.

NoHunIntended · 05/03/2011 23:53

H, I can link to the highchair we have, but it's certainly not a spacesaver.

SeaSh, glad your DD is doing great.

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes · 06/03/2011 01:07

Thanks hun :) I've not had her weighed for ages so it's satisfying to know she is doing well in their eyes as well as mine! As you say, you only have to look at her to know she is thriving.

Hermya-We have the ikea one-antilop. The legs come off easily but the seat is one piece (that can go in dishwasher) but that won't go any smaller! We take it camping though so it can't be huge iyswim :)

nymphadora · 06/03/2011 08:02

We have the ikea one too Hermya. It's not visually bulky if that helps? Just that the legs splayed do take up space

nymphadora · 07/03/2011 20:24

Dd2 v excited about being on local radio tomorrow hope they don't cut her.

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes · 07/03/2011 20:49

Oooh what's is she on for? Hope it goes well!

nymphadora · 07/03/2011 21:19

About international womens day & careers for women. She is v excited about it

Elsa123 · 07/03/2011 22:05

Hello everyone.

We're back from Centerparcs. We had a great time and DD appeared to really enjoy herself and tried a swing and slide (with assistance!) for the first time. She also went to creche for a couple of hours so we could go to the spa and she was absolutely fine which was a relief although she thoroughly informed the nursery staff that she was breastfed by trying her hardest to latch onto them! Grin. One nursery nurse had particularly large boobers which DD was very excited by apparently! She also had a babysitter on our last night and she had no idea as she slept straight through the whole thing which was a massive relief.

NoHun how great for Maverick and your DH to be in the Times! Shame about the lack of photo, I'm sure your DS would have stolen the whole article if his pic had featured Grin.

Good luck to your DD2 tomorrow Nymph- my dad appeared on Radio 4 and they gave him a CD transcript. Perhaps the local radio will to the same for your DD?

Hermya I'm also looking for a highchair and for the flat in London I'm tempted by the phil and teds one that basically bolts to the table like a pasta machine would with clamps so its portable.

Although they're phenomenally expensive and I won't be getting one, I do love those pod ones- they remind me of the seat that Mini Me has in Austin Powers!

I'm glad your DD was ok Don'tstop. What a heart stopping moment for you.

Tyson I hope Sophie is feeling better bless her.

Spaniel has hurt is shoulder being a loon and is on light duties and lead walks only. Went bananas this afternoon on his walk that he coudln't chase the rabbits spotted by Scottish Terrier.

tiredfeet · 07/03/2011 22:18

Glad you had a good time elsa and well done to your dd for letting you have a break

nymph how exciting for your dd!

Having a bit of a grim time here, ds on antibiotics which he hates so I hate having him so upset four times a day while we give him it, they've given him diarrhoea so changing his nappy ALL the time, and at night it wakes him up when he would normally go straight back to sleep after a feed. Plus his eczemas's bad so having to slather on cream all the time. It just feels so relentless GAH! Fortunatley he is still happy and smiley a lot of the time.

We bought the antilop but not totally sure about it actually, ds doesn't look all that comfortable in it

NoHunIntended · 07/03/2011 22:21

How old is DD2, nymph?

:), Elsa! :) Yes, he would have! :)
Glad you had a good time at Centreparcs. Already on a swing and a slide - WOW!

NoHunIntended · 07/03/2011 22:23

xp, tf. Sorry to hear your DS is feeling poorly, and that sucks about the nappies. Poor little mite. Hope it clears soon and he feels well.

Are you using washing powder? That may aggravate the eczema?

tiredfeet · 07/03/2011 22:23

Sorry, what a moany post from me!

tiredfeet · 07/03/2011 22:26

nohun using ecoballs for everything now, think washing powder definitely makes it worse. Really impressed with the ecoballs though, even his nappies are coming out nice and clean

NoHunIntended · 08/03/2011 00:33

Fab - we use EcoBalls and yes, they are great! You do have to hang everything out to dry quickly though.

Did you ever try any of that eczema cream I linked to ages ago?

Got a new nappy on DS tonight - a WeeNotion - it is gorrrgeous! Bizarre the things that excite me these days! :) www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150153909856095&set=pu.159755886094

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes · 08/03/2011 01:34

Happy Women's Day ladies!!

Go dd Nymph, so hope it goes well for her :)

Elsa-sounds perfect, what fun, centreparcs is on the list of "things to do" next year, it sounds perfect.

Tf-It really does sound grim, I hope it gets better soon :( re highchair, when they are sitting up nicely it's much better-we use a 3sided cushion early on.

No Hun-lol, the changes we go through Grin
