Hello. Just popping in to say am Sad as we're definitely leaving Bahrain. Booked flights to come home 2nd April. On the positive side, DS2 started new school today and is looking very happy and healthy as far as I can tell on Skype!

Gen doing well except she just will not sleep during the day. What a pain. Will have to get a routine going when we get home.

TysonNobdie86 · 01/03/2011 20:21

Good luck NoHun, Im strangely excited about the day when you let us know your pregnant again! Grin

TysonNobdie86 · 01/03/2011 20:22

:( you are leaving Bahrain ILGH but happy that you will be with your ds again :)

Hermya321 · 01/03/2011 20:42

Nohun I totally misread Tysons post that you'd had a BFP and was about to burst out in happiness for you. Well I shall save it up for when you are pregnant again.

ILGH Good luck with leaving Bahrain.

Nymph DS had his jabs today as well, he had a bit of a whinge but is now asleep.

NoHunIntended · 01/03/2011 21:03

ILGH, the end of an era, but a nice new start too. Have a safe trip.

Thanks, Tyson! I wish I had something to announce. Haven't got my periods back yet though, and still exclusively BFing, so very small chance just now. But not impossible. I want to be that 3%, or whatever it is! And aw, thanks, H! :)

Hope your DS sleeps well after his jabs. Phew - no more for seven months!

nymphadora · 01/03/2011 21:50

ILGH- think being with ds2 will be worth it! Are the schools all sorted then for the others? Lots to think snout with moving.

SeaShellsDreamingOfSummer · 02/03/2011 00:00

ILGH you must be sad to see the end of an era approaching. I hope the move goes smoothly. It must be good to see your dc gettingsettled over here already.

Gave dd ff tonight for the first time ever (Ds was bf for a year)...and everyone is wrong ;) 11.30pm and it's the first feed after 6oz hungry baby Hipp Organic. Oh well! Feel stupidly emotional
About it, but not giving up bf, just nice to know she'll take it and maybe I can stop expressing as don't have time or energy to!

Nymph-as a fellow suffer of iPhone autocorrect, I did lol at snout instead of about Grin

Of to see Gp tomorrow re depression. Of course i have felt brilliant again for a week, with no rage/frustration/crying et etc so feel like a fraud. Which is a Good Thing :) I did need sun after all

OP posts:
nymphadora · 02/03/2011 07:20

Seashells- know what you mean, lovely sunny day yesterday made me feel better

tiredfeet · 02/03/2011 19:28

Was feeling jealous of the talk of sunshine but it finally arrived here today Smile

Ilgh must be so much to think about! I hope the final few weeks aren't too stressful

Had my interview today and since been told I am on the final shortlist which is a confidence boost at least Smile just need to wait for final decision now...

Seashells glad dd liked the formula, I can't face expressing either I find it so painful, so am hoping we can persuade ds to drink formula occassionally soon to give me a break (and will have to if I get the job!)

Hermya321 · 02/03/2011 20:24

We have had a right old day today, poor DS has been miserable all day and his nappies!! Oh my word, I really didn't know they came in neon colours. [confussed]

But we did get out, so we weren't trapped inside with each other. I went out with my friend who has a Phil and Teds double so we had her DS and mine in it with the doubles seat. I now have pram envy.

Nohun When you get to it, a Phil and Teds might be quite useful. It was so easy to push and a dream going round all the pokey shops.

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes · 02/03/2011 20:39

I love my phil and teds! Best pushchair ever when dc are close together :)

NoHunIntended · 03/03/2011 00:17

Thanks, Hermya. Invested in the Stokke Xplory though, so need to get my money's worth! Will have to get the Rider Siblingboard, and/or use the sling at the same time.

Hope your DS is ok.

tiredfeet · 03/03/2011 14:39

I have an image in my head now of nohun pushing her stokke with about half a dozen children dangling off it Grin

Didn't get the job. Feel gutted, then feel guilty for feeling gutted as ds is being so cute and adorable. I could just do with a break every now and then and so a very part time job would have been perfect. Guess I just have to pull myself together and keep hunting!

nymphadora · 03/03/2011 17:52

Never mind tiredfeet. At least you have the advantage of DS to distract you!

BLW seems to be going down well here. Dd3 keeps asking for her chair & our food. Doesn't actually eat anything beyond sucking an odd piece of apple & mushy banana on her fingers. But I prefer that as I didn't want to wean yet Blush I also get to eat 2 handed too Grin

SeaShellsHasSandInHerShoes · 03/03/2011 18:30

Nymph-the highchair is out and dd is sitting up at meal times-she sea very interested, but holding out for a few more weeks due to allergies-5 months next week!

NoHunIntended · 03/03/2011 22:55

Aw tf, I am loving that image! :)

Sorry to hear you didn't get the job. Think of it as the right job being still out there - a better job.

re BLW, DS looks at and reaches for our food (and is very keen on DH's cups of tea), but we are holding off solids until the six month mark.

He gabbles away loads now, such a sweet little voice, it is sooooo cute! :-)

TysonNobdie86 · 04/03/2011 10:49

I keep making remarks to dh about whether we will ever have another dc but he doesnt answer or look keen, I dont know if im happy with two, i think if i bought a 7 seater Vauxhall Zafira like i want i would go for it till all the seats were filled up Grin

Hermya321 · 04/03/2011 13:58

Tyson There was one for sale down my road and it was going for a very reasonable price. DH didn't seem too keen but as I could fit my life andfuturefootballteam in that car with room to spare.

Regarding food, I have been saying that DS hasn't been interested at all. But today whilst I was feeding him and eating my lunch he kept coming off to look at me eating. This has prompted me to start looking into high chairs.

Oh and DS was weighed today, 16lb 7oz. I was so shocked I asked them to weigh him again. But no that is what he was and he's climbed back up his percentiles.

TysonNobdie86 · 04/03/2011 15:05

Well done Hermya's ds, i havent gone back and weighed dd since the last HV check Blush Im always too busy on a weds when they do weigh in at the surestart centre.
I want to go on Autotrader but have to clean first Hmm

nymphadora · 04/03/2011 16:11

Oh keep forgetting to say dd3 is starting to like the doidy cup. Tried a few weeks ago but she wouldn't have it. Since she is sitting in the chair she has had a couple if goes & likes it. Only has an oz of milk and most goes down her front but she has to finish it! Still haven't got the hang of bottles so this may give me some leeway if I have to pop out.

TysonNobdie86 · 04/03/2011 18:23

Oh bless her Nymph, she sounds so cute.
I went on autotrader and am now depressed, they are affordable if i wasnt going for the vet nurse course Hmm

floozietoozie · 04/03/2011 20:51

Tyson I was thinking of a Zafira too. My sister has an oldish one and they're supposed to be the best second hand mpvs although she has had a few probs with hers. I still yearn for a Scenic though dp isn't keen (but he doesnt drive, so hard cheese Grin.). And I also don't know if I really want to stop at two kids even though it would be rank insanity to contemplate it and I don't particularly want to be pregnant or have to give birth prematurely again. Especially not by section.

ILGH good luck with moving.

DD is showing a keen interest in our food and drink now. I've put a few things to her mouth but I am frightened of choking tbh so don't know if I'll have the nerve to do blw.

NoHun my mum got pg when DSis1 was seven months and I don't think her periods had started. She was bfing anyway.

Dd is five months and a week old. Amazing.
