I cant get my head around the fact that he's properly crawling! Just after christmad ellie was like that for about a week or so and tgen seemed to settle back to herself. She would have een the same age then that frankles is now and after googling it it seems to ge common at tgat age to start fussing.
Chulita i laughed out loud at your combinations 'potential' weirdness! what's even weirder is i think i'd like to try it Blush.
woddlands i'm very jealous of you being back to pre pg weight! well done. There's absolutely nothing like them groups here. What do you do at buggy bootcamp?
Glad you feel better today dh. Some people are really vile creatures
hope F nap works out the way you planned cakes!
Well in other news i'm still waiting for this gossip. I'm not a very patient person!
And in more news it's dp and i 4 year annivesary today! Can't believe it. Imagine 4 years and a baby later and no bloody ring! My time will come i suppose! not doing anything tonight as i'm working late but he's cooking me dinner tomorrow night

CakeandRoses · 04/02/2011 11:37

Hey hotg - you're 'in' now i see Smile

Feel free to be honest with tsc and tell her that, actually it was cake's baby who took your breath away Grin

CakeandRoses · 04/02/2011 11:41

happy anniversary kk - perhaps play 'If you liked it then you should have put a ring on it', on repeat all thru dinner? Wink

well the nap was a bit better. if i be consistent then hopefully he'll see it as a mini nap routine.

i didn't see that re woodlands weight - nice one Grin

AIBU... to detest Peppa Pig?

I don't even know him/her but the name and the look of it makes me recoil.

Why do children like this stuff?

kkfairybrains · 04/02/2011 11:47

CakeandRoses · 04/02/2011 11:54

eh? where did Wine come from? it's too much like netmums now with Wine and Biscuit

the only reason I said 'potential' is cos lettuce is so inoffensive that it can't really be odd - or so I thought anyway Grin

kkfairy happy anniversary! hope you get something lovely from your dh

cake yabu to hate something you've never seen but yanbu to hate peppa pig. She drives me nuts, esp cos when you go to mothercare to buy wellies all they have are peppa pig ones.

woodlands I'm going to ignore your comment about weight, as happy as I am for you it's another needle my voodoo doll - prepreg weight seems a mile off for me Envy

tsc no harm in letting him cry if he's driving you up the wall, thankfully S doesn't suck for britain but he does want to feed to sleep every.singe.time. so often he just whinges/cries himself to sleep cos I can't be doing with it.

Had a rubbish time at the bf group, L just cried the entire time and wanted to go home then was happy as larry once we left Hmm she's so irritating at the mo, everytime we go out she wants to sit on my knee and cuddle the whole time, crying/whinging at me - fine if she's the only one, but she's not. I'm getting really, really pissed off with it tbh

Chulita · 04/02/2011 12:16

actually, they could do with a chocolate emoticon

kkfairybrains · 04/02/2011 12:21

[Wine]...just testing as it's not showing me how to do it down under

kkfairybrains · 04/02/2011 12:21

Argh! how do you do it?

kkfairybrains · 04/02/2011 12:22
Wine
kkfairybrains · 04/02/2011 12:22

Yay!

Chulita · 04/02/2011 12:26
Grin
CakeandRoses · 04/02/2011 12:34

why is wine and the biscuit netmums and chocolate not, chulita? Hmm i think the biscuit is ok as it has a political heritage

i've just realise then wine has replaced the bear. I loved the bear Sad

tsc A just went thru an 'annoying to go down for a nap' phase but seems to be out of it now (went down super easily in her crib the last 2 days) so hopefully Frankles will soon. Think it's harder to put up with when they also want to suck you to death. You know i'm a super-softie like you [reluctant co-sleeper emoticon] but I'd be tempted to leave him to cry once in a while too if he wanted to be on me all the time. Just nip back to see him every couple of minutes if it makes you/him feel better.

Dylthan · 04/02/2011 12:43

cakes ooh how do you do that?

tsc I want a pm I refuse to be left out of the gossip Wink when do you go back to your bf group?

dh it's horrible when you have an accident in your car. But people don't normally behave like that what a bitch Angry did you ask for her insurance details and phone number ( I'm guessing not since she was acting like a raving lunitic) you should of taken her number plate and then phoned your insurance. They would of done all the running around then to sort out getting her insurance to pay for the scratches on your car. I'm glad your feeling a bit better today.

I'm such an idiot. I went to the baby group today and saw the wife of somebody that dh volunteers with. I mentioned to her that I was going on the tesco baby first aid course and she said she would like to do that but had lost the paperwork with the number.

So I said no problem I would ring and book her on of there were any places left and then ring her.

I hate. Hate hate ringing people but thought I really need to get over this fear cause it's really silly.

Anyway booked her on looked in dh's address book phoned the landline number under her husbands name rang it her husband answered using his whole name which I thought was a little odd I asked to speak to xxxx and he asked who I was told him and he said you do relise this is my work number Blush aaarrrrgggh!!!!

He gave me her mobile number but I'm not sure if I copied it down right because I was so embarrassed I wasn't listening properly. I did try ringing it but it went to answer machine I don't want to leave a message in case I have written the number wrong and now I'm too scared to call it again.

And to just top it off when making her reservation its his work number I gave. I'm such a stupid ass!!

Stac2011 · 04/02/2011 12:46

mlic know what you mean but they have told us not to travel unless extremely necessary, falling trees etc. I went to asda last night so all shopping done.

cakes yanbu to hate peppa pig, I do too but R seems captivated when its on

tsc R is also still fussy when it comes to going for a nap or bed, takes bottle in and out tbh I am glad it isnt my nipple you must be in agony

kk happy anniversary, you never know a ring may be on the horizon.

chulita if nutella and lettuce is normal what else do you eat lol

congrats woodlands on the prepregnancy weight, cant pretend not to be Envy but thats cos I have to get my finger out

Well in other news here, dp and I are thinking about tying the knot too, we have been engaged for 3 years so thinking maybe next year. Will be a small affair I hope, but we both have quite big families argh!! Also got confirmation that my application for college is being looked at so fingers crossed for an interview

Dylthan · 04/02/2011 12:47

Dh is no help he thinks it's hilarious. I just want to crawl under a rock Blush

Stac2011 · 04/02/2011 13:00

dylthan you weren't to know hun, we all make mistakes like that. Does dh not have another number for them?

Dylthan · 04/02/2011 13:14

He's got his mobile number I think I'll get him to call it when he comes home.

Chulita · 04/02/2011 13:22

stac yay! a wedding Grin

dylthan you were being lovely and helpful, we've all done stuff like that. By tomorrow you won't feel quite so embarrassed and you weren't to know! It's only ringing some random man's work number, not like he caught you popping a spot in his wing mirror or something :)

cake surely chocolate and Wine is a standard mn cure for all sorts of ailments so the two really should go hand in hand. I'm a bit sad the Bear went, he was rather cute! (and I was only doing the old 'can't have emoticons cos we're mn not nm and we don't do cute' thing, I don't have anything against nm at all)

Shock Wine but no [cheese]? Sad

Nutella and lettuce is not only weird but surely some kind of sacrilege? Nutella sandwiches should only be combined with peanut butter!!

We've got gale force winds and torrential downpours here too. I had to swim through the car park to get to Tesco earlier, while M beamed happily at me from her cozy seat above the water level. Envy Just you wait, daughter... Some day I'll be getting you to push me around-!

Cake, you're an inspiration. I must go tidy my kitchen!

CakeandRoses · 04/02/2011 13:37

tsc could you go to your bf group but ask one of your friends to say something instead or curb you if you go off on one?

i think going and make a bit of a jokey dig about it is the best bet

you shouldn't just avoid it - you've not done anything wrong

{sad] for your fucker of a day. mine was like that on monday and wed. i hated having children then Sad. next week will be better - and there's the weekend next too Smile

snort at chulita's popping a spot Grin - has that happened to you?!
