Memphis happy birthday Grin

wss congratulations to your dh for getting his new job.

Bethan is 6 months today Smile the time seems to be going so much quicker with her than it did with Dylan. I think it may be because she is the last baby for us Sad and now that she is getting bigger I'll never get to hold and feed my own little newborn baby again Sad Sad Sad

HotGiggity · 31/01/2011 09:19

The run of good nights has ended it seems...in other news, Jacob did a little crawl yesterday so I'm blaming that for the lack of sleep.

I'm so tired...Sad

Woodlands · 31/01/2011 09:30

mlic we keep meaning to try offering water at the 2am feed (had his cup ready by the bed last night), but each morning I just think sod it, i know if i stick a boob in his mouth we can go back to sleep asap, rather than risking a great big long awake session. must do it soon!

another terrible night's sleep, not J's fault, he's been sleeping fine the last few nights apart from the feeds - down at 8, awake at 11.30,2am, 4.40 and then 7 - but straight down to sleep in between. I swear I didn't get to sleep until 5am- maybe a couple of little dozes but nothing major. It has been like this for about the last 5 nights. argh!

Stac2011 · 31/01/2011 11:10

did you do another test woodlands?

Congrats to dh on the new job wss?

Aw chulita i have 4 stone to lose its bloody hard work.

dylthan i'm the same a bit sad she is getting older. Since i have two older boys think being a grans next for me lol

mlic oh they can be wee buggers eh? He seems to be doing well with the potty training though

A good night here, dont stone me just yet. R slept i didnt, i cant get into a routine at all. Its dp's birthday tomorrow so have to go get his present have no idea what yet?

CakeandRoses · 31/01/2011 11:28

morning. sounds like a crap night pretty much all round. no exception here. A was up with wind between 2 and 3 and had a feeds at 12, 2.30 and 5.

she's in pain with wind again now but its so much more complicated to know what's causing it now as it could be something i've eaten or she's eaten. giving her another bf to settle her but hoping it doesn't make it worse.

what are you all up to today?

Quiet day here. will walk into town after lunch so felix can do his shopping and library trip.

he's in his huge (a single but looks huge), new oak bed with lovely thick mattress which dh and i are both hoping to get to sleep in when F sneaks in with us in the night.

A finally seems to have dozed off so will attempt transfer to crib now. talking of which, think this'll be her final week in it as the cotbed is waiting for her in her new room now Sad

OP posts:
CakeandRoses · 31/01/2011 12:23

well that worked fucking brilliantly.... woke up and screamed again the moment she hit the crib

have just shouted at F who i thought was asleep but was actually tiptoeing round his toys Hmm

he does def still need a nap as he sleeps for a good 1.5 hours+ when he does go down. he didn't get one yday as my father didn't get him down and he was foul by the afternoon and didn't know what to do with himself.

dh has just said he'll nip home for lunch at noon so there's light at the end of the tunnel Smile

good luck with potty training today mlic

chulita i still have weight to lose too - about 1/2 stone. i'm pretty chilled about it tho and i'm not planning to diet or exercise as i'm confident it'll go on its own accord as bf decreases. i wouldn't start worrying til 9m as i do believe the 9months on/9months off is true for lots of women esp 2 or 3rd time round.

i'm seriously thinking about trying a new kickboxing club i've just found out about, if i do that then i know the weight will drop off Grin

Stac i just made a big curry and we had a few drinks so was good!
Memphis enjoy your hols!
i still have 2 stone to lose :( i'm back at slimming world and have lost 5 lb in 2 weeks so going good so far. Might not be so good at weigh in in the morning cos i was a bit bold at the weekend.
E has come out in a really bad rash all across and down her neck, little patches on her legs and now her face is blotchy rash too. Any ideas what it could be? 50 to see the doctor that i just dont have this week so dony want to bring her unless its really necessary. It's horrible that you have to think about bringing a baby to the doctor :(. i'm thinking it may be teething? i dont know but i'm trying not to panic. Have done the glass test on her and its disappears.

WhatSheSaid · 31/01/2011 18:05

kk rash on face - a friend of mine' ds has this and dr has suggested it may be something he is eating e.g dairy intolerance. Has she eaten something different, maybe acidic, some new food?

Or teething rash, is she dribbling lots? Try to keep the area dry. Can you go to chemists and see if they can suggest anything over the counter?

It's shit having to pay for drs isn't it, it's free at my drs for under - 6's but some surgeries charge and all charge for older kids and there are people here in NZ who sometimes just can't afford to take their kids to dr (or themselves) Sad.

I know people in UK complain about NHS, but honestly you are lucky, at least it's free! MOst stuff is here too but not drs visits.

DesperateHousewife20 · 31/01/2011 18:33

mlic I would give him water at night but he'd still need the boob to go back to sleep.

Hes currently yelling the house down in his highchair after eating nothing Angry

kkfairybrains · 31/01/2011 18:33

Thanks wss. Wrt to food i've been racking my brains trying to think has she had anything different and can't think of anything.it could be from the dribble but to me it looks like too much to be from dribble. She's in good form and she's eating so i'm just going to have to see how it is tomorrow. Good idea re chemist. I'll do that if its no better tomorrow. Even if the doc was free for kids i'd he happier cos you dont like taking the chance!

Chulita · 31/01/2011 18:35

kkfairy my friend lost all her weight through slimming world online, I'm thinking of following her lead. I know for me really it's all down to me not doing enough exercise.
S has a rash on his face too, it popped after he ate a rusk (serves me right) and hasn't gone away. I need to be putting some epaderm on it cos that might help. I can't believe you have to pay for docs! And there I was whinging today cos the earliest appt I can get is friday. At the last place we always got seen within 2 hours

WhatSheSaid · 31/01/2011 18:51

Chulita my friend's ds with rash on face - it came up really badly after eating a rusk too - and apparently they contain dairy - which is what her dr thinks he is reacting to.

felix got a rash from kiwi too - quite acidic i think

or maybe slapped cheek disease? it's not that bad but the rash can be impressive

if it is that you need to stay away from pg women as it can be serious

woodlands everything ok there?

kkfairybrains · 31/01/2011 20:03

Its now all down her legs. Im working and dp has just brought her up to his mums and get her to look at it.

kkfairybrains · 31/01/2011 20:07

Sorry missed the last 2 posts there. Its disappearing when i press on it and tge rash is hot. Cant get to that link on my phone cakes but will look soon. She had a strawberry yogurt yesterday would that count? although she's had tgem before. I haven't put anything on it yet but just keeping it dry

Chulita · 31/01/2011 20:08

I wondered if it was slapped cheek cos it hasn't gone down. If it had been an allergic reaction it would've faded by now but it's lasted about 5 days and still going strong.

Just chatted to my SIL, she's due her first in 3 months and is so excited about it. She was saying how much it's dragging - I couldn't help but think 'wait til the last month' I swear the last 4 weeks of pregnancy are twice as long as normal weeks!

We're quiet at the moment, everyone ok? I'm off to my parents tomorrow for a couple of days and I bet you'll all chat up a storm and it'll take me a full day to catch up!

Chulita · 31/01/2011 20:09

kkfairy is she alright apart from the rash?

She's fine apart from the rash. Eating well and no temp but a bit crankier than she usually is but then this could be cos she's teething. Dp has psoriasis and his brother has exzema and asthma too. Really hope its not that!haven't changed anything else. She was up with the new puppies yesterday

kkfairybrains · 31/01/2011 20:17

She had her injections last tuesday too

Not sure if she has had it 5 days tsc I was kind of hijacking with witterings about Samsonite's rash :)
How long has she had it kkfairy ? I reckon if she's fine other than a bit cranky then it's probably nothing to worry about tbh. Follow your instincts though cos only you can see how she is!
