tsc there's enough going on in your life with money, dd1 (and 2) etc that even without dp's major fuck-up, your relationship wouldn't be easy to prioritise right now.

from everything you've said in the past you a) love him. a lot and b) have a lot going for you as a couple.

my advice would be to try not to over-think it right now. you just need a bit of time to pass to let the anger and upset from major fuck-up recede a bit.

you also need to make sure you're not martyring yourself either: insist he gives you lie-ins, it's you that's up all night. insist his training takes place at your convenience, not at times where its putting a heap more on your plate.

i really think you can get through this and come out happy. i've a good feeling about you two and i rarely get this stuff wrong Smile

hey guys!

very Envy of your macaroons needle they're lovely but i've never had a go at making them.

happy birthday memphis glad you had a good night out.

hope things get better for you tsc i agree with cake that you need to level with him re lie ins and running so that it's clear he needs to fit around you and the kids rather than the other way round.

i had my treatment this week and it wasnt as bad as i thought it would be. the nurse's were lovely and i just talked about Dreya the whole time i was there which took my mind off it. did hurt when he injected my cervix mind and he took a biopsy but said he thought he'd got all the pre-cancerous cells so fngers crossed.

miss dreya is teething in full force this week and has also been waking an hour after being put to bed demanding more milk! so unlike her but i've been caving and giving her an extra 3oz to get her off. possibly a growth spurt...

Woodlands · 30/01/2011 15:33

glad to hear the treatment's over Nixter, hope you don't need any more.

tsc people say the first year of a baby's life is the hardest time for your relationship. hope things improve soon.

fuck fuck fuck... i am ill with this bug and feel really sick and weird, but it's been worrying me as i feel like i did when i was pregnant. because i'm on cerazette and breastfeeding i haven't had a period yet, but those two things should mean there is 0% chance I could be PG. But it's been worrying me so I bought a test. now i think i can see a faint line, which came up straight away. dh disagrees and thinks it's just where the line would be if there was one, iyswim. i just don't know - everyone says a line is a line, don't they? oh fuck oh fuck, can't do it all again already, and what would happen about work etc? i'm going to buy another test tomorrow.

Oh my god woodlands!! Yeah supposedly a line is a line. As mlic says do it in the morn. Hope your happy with the result!
tsc thats sad how you feel. But i really think that you think the world of each other and this is just a bad patch. Hopefully once this bloody marathon is over things will be better. There definately needs ti be give and take though with sleep and stuff.
Nixter glad you got over tge treatment ok. Fingers crossed for you that's all over.
Cake i definately think that baby free time does the world of good. Me and dp are so much more chatty and nice to each other since the manchester trip!
Memphis i hope your hangover wasn't too painful and that lyndon will be a good boy tonight!
Got over the relatives anyway. Was lovely to have them all there and we had a good laugh!

DesperateHousewife20 · 30/01/2011 17:07

woodlands!! take another test immediately then tell us Grin

Im on micronor and BF and ive got a 3 hour window every day to take the pill, Ive forgotton to take it so many times in the window, yesterday I took it 5 hours late. oops!

WhatSheSaid · 30/01/2011 17:59

Yep, do another test!

I'm crap at taking my pill in its 3 hour window, I've been up to 12 hours late Blush, wonder if I'm being a bit careless because we know we shouldn't have another (age and finances) but we actually would both be delighted if I was pg again...

nixster glad the treatment went well, bet you're glad that's all dealt with.

Stac2011 · 30/01/2011 18:52

wow woodlands how would you be about it?

tsc it is a difficult time for you. Cant be easy with dd1 kicking off too. Hope all gets sorted

Happy birthday memphis you looking forward to your hols? Did you go see gp?

cakes did you phone nspcc? Its nice having one on one time with OH

nixster glad treatment went well hun, when do you get your results?

kk did you get up to much when your relatives visited?

mlic the pic on fb is so cute

I am knackered today cant wait till bedtime

Woodlands · 30/01/2011 18:54

Well I told DH i was worrying about it, and we looked at the line again, and jumped in the car and went to our nearest Tesco Express to buy another test. BFN - luckily! Not even a hint of anything. It is a relief, I do want another one, but really not that close if we can help it. I don't know what was up with that first test.

I'm on Cerazette and you have a 12 hour window to take it but I must admit I have been outside that once or twice!

Chulita · 30/01/2011 19:06

woodlands eek! my heart would've skipped a couple of beats at that, I'm so not ready yet!

memphis happy birthday! :)

tsc I agree with cake, don't rush into anything and let the first year of Frankie's life be about him and not about your relationship iyswim, the 1st bit is hard as you all adjust to the new dynamics. I hope you manage to sort everything out!

dh your night sounded a bit like mine...

nixter glad your treatment wasn't as bad as you thought, hopefully that's all sorted now :)

DH was on nights this week and on duty this weekend and has had a nightmare. He got 4 hours at home friday morning, then in work til 10pm, back in work at 6am til 2pm, then 4pm til 8pm, today he was in from 8am til 2pm and was called in at 6pm and he's there now. He's back at work tomorrow at 6.30 and I don't feel I've seen him all weekend :(

memphis83 · 30/01/2011 20:39

tsc i really hope you manage to work things out, i stress with one baby so you with a tinynewborn, a toddler and a teenager must be so stressed at times!!!
stac went docs hes put me on another month of tabs and if they dont start working he will look into another one.
nixster hope the results turn out ok, talking about Dreya must have really helped i know i talk about Lyndon when im in a stresful situation to calm me down!
kk my hangover was no existant i woke up through night quite a bit and just drank loads of squash so was fine today but just had a furry mouth!!!
just been for a curry it was fab and they brought me out a cake there but as i had one already i gave it to my mum!! there is only so much cake i can eat before we leave tomorrow!
very excited all packed, cant wait to go shopping tomorrow on the way, been so so spoilt, now lets hope L sleeps for us

justa quickie for now

happy birthday memphis. Hope it's been fab. sorry i'm late!

woodlands hopefully you've got the result you want but if i were you i'd do another test in the morning to be sure, as mlic said that's the best time - i've had a negative in the afternoon and then a positive the next morning. Usually a line is a line, with both of mine they were so faint they were barely even visible.

double check the instructions for the 1st one. it should be obvious whether the line should be there for a negative. they usually show 2 lines for pg and 1 line for neg, OR 1 line for pos and no lines for neg - if it's the latter type there will be no line at all, not even a faint one.

i'm not trying to worry you unnecessarily, really hope it turns out the way you want.

OP posts:
Woodlands · 30/01/2011 23:02

It was one of the ones which should have a cross in the window for positive - so it had a horizontal line and if positive it would have a vertical line too. I think it was probably an evaporation line or something, but you're right, I should do another test using first morning wee. The chances are so remote though - breastfeeding through the night and being on the pill and not much sex means there can't be much chance!

CakeandRoses · 30/01/2011 23:30

afaik, evaporation lines after the first few mins - so if the line was there straight away then def do another one tomo. Good luck!! Smile

(i went into all this with mine because they were so faint)

Had a bit of a better night, he fell asleep on DP straight after his bath at about 7pm, woke up at half 7, I fed him on the sofa and then really needed a wee so just plonked him on the sofa expecting him to wake up, he slept there for about 45 mins Hmm

I then took him to bed at 9pm, he slept from about 9:30 til 1ish but I was trying to not feed him but he kept waking up so fed him at 2am, he slept til 5, feed, slept til 7:30.

Right, I'm feeling very bleugh now. My friend who had her baby 2 days before me had 3st9 to lose and managed it in 6 months. I had 2st4 and still have a stone left. I really need to get a shift on especially since last night DH agreed to start ttc in the summer and I want to be back to 'normal' weight before we go for the next one. Slimming world online, the shred and I'm going to run back from toddler group this morning.

S was up 6 times in 8 hours last night and L woke up too so I haven't had much sleep and am pretty grumpy. He feeds for 20-30 mins each time so I don't think it's thirst.

mlic L seems to actually enjoy sitting in her poo which kind of puts me off potty training just yet Confused cheeky E though! and good news on W's cheese intake, I had 4 lindor on Saturday night and S threw up all day yesterday Hmm

WhatSheSaid · 31/01/2011 08:52
