cake how awful, poor girl, surely she should have even been allowed in there alone without an adult, poor thing people like her dad should be hung!

im packed, we are picking up new kitchen table later when L wakes up, the poor thing his teeth are causing him so much pain he screams so much if he catches his gums.
it is freeeeezing and ive got a silk dress for later that could be a little longer and have more coverage in the boon department!!

Woodlands · 29/01/2011 11:29

ouch poor clara! good luck with the interviews tsc.

well, DH has come down with this flu-like bug overnight. I am feeling a wee bit better today though still no appetite and very achy. having looked after J for the last 2 days and had 2 atrocious nights' sleep I was really looking forward to DH looking after J for a few hours today but I can't ask him to when I'm feeling better than he is, even though I had to do it when I felt as rough as he does. grrr.

CakeandRoses · 29/01/2011 11:54

A was feeding hourly last night - def 6m growth spurt. DH said he legs were even chunkier this week Grin he'll have to learn not to use words like that as she gets older!

forgot to mention that we finally have our new car - bloody love being able to fit more than a pram in the boot Grin DH upset tho as the cd player doesn't seem to work, he seems to think that once it's mended/replaced the car won't be like brand new anymore Hmm

i had to do bedtime on my own last night as DH got stuck working late in the city. I really don't know how you guys such as mlic do it every night on your own. I was sooo frazzled when they were both finally down and i could scarf wine.

oh poor clara, tsc Sad tis like the accident thread between the two of us right now.

hg blimey, that is a good night Envy

dylthan great idea, thank you. will call them

excuse me tsc, some of us DO have routines - not my fault if the tinybaby doesn't observe said routine

feeling a bit unsettled at the mo as my tinytoddler has just gone off with his Grandbob (my father) til tomo afternoon Shock. F adores him beyond all reason and can't wait to escape our clutches but i worry sick the whole time he's gone about my father not being careful about stairs, cars etc. i don't relax til he's back - so much for a relaxing toddler-free weekend!

tis an audi a4 estate Blush sooo rock n roll. we're 'Proper Grownups' TM now

Oh god cakes thats terrible. Well done for handling it the way you did.
Poor clara tsc!! Hope she's not too battered looking the poor thing. I still have my a3 and while i love it, its a serious pain in the ass. Trying to sell it at the minute cos getting ellie in and out of a 3 door car its taking its toll on my back. Dp car is broke and thats what i was using up until now.
Im really really enjoyed being a mammy the last couple of weeks. They're at such a lovely cute stage at the minute!
Awaiting the arrival of my relatives that are staying the night! 6 of them...wish me luck!

DesperateHousewife20 · 29/01/2011 17:19

Ah Im going to be the one to go against the flow and say dont jump to conclusions about the girl cakes
How was she? If very young then yes I agree but if 5/6 then maybe not.

Im prob going to embarass myself now but by the age of 5ish I knew about my clit, I didnt know it was called an orgasm I just knew it felt good.
I shared a room with my parents (due to lack of space etc) when I was that age too and they used to have sex at night when they thought I was asleep so I knew what that was all about at that age too.

Im not saying what that girl did was right etc but I just wanted to put my opinion across to say its not always what it seems.

DesperateHousewife20 · 29/01/2011 17:19

How old was she thats meant to say.

mlic it does sound like you have an impressive routine going on there. i think i find it harder because 80% of the time dh is back for 6.15 - 7 and bedtime here starts at 7 so i don't have 'coping strategies' to manage it well alone. fri was particularly bad because i didn't know in advance how late he'd be (9pm) so i was totally disorganised.

hats off to you Smile

dh you make a good point and might well be right but my instincts say you're not in this case Sad. In two v brief (under a minute) encounters with this young girl, there were several 'sexual' references. also, the positions she had my 2yo son in just weren't something a typical girl of that age would just do because it felt nice, imo anyway.

anyway, let's draw a line under it.

catch you all later, after my 2 hour date with dh Smile

Hi all. Bootcamp was not fun. Three hours of cc, at 10m intervals. Not hungry, not wet, no wind, anbesol on. There's nothing wrong with her, she just really doesn't want to sleep, but it kills me to hear her cry.

CakeandRoses · 30/01/2011 00:32

Hey needle. sounds rough. did she go down in the end? did you do it again tonight?

is G's problem going to sleep or staying asleep/resettling or both?

had a really lovely (short) evening out with dh. even managed to chat about stuff other than the children, for some of the time at least. went to a chinese which we haven't been to in ages (italian fully booked - we're destined never to go there). had a great meal, so it was a bit of a find, particularly as this town doesn't have great chineses as a rule, lots of great indians instead tho.

our lovely, lovely cleaner didn't even charge us for babysitting. said it was only a couple of hours, A is gorgeous [despite waking up and farting for england Hmm] and it was a pleasure Smile

F is all good at my father's apparently. i'm missing him loads tho. he's not back til after lunch tomo which is the longest he's been away. i suggested to dh that perhaps its too long and we should get him back sooner. dh not impressed with me at all and put his foot down (rare)

soo will just try to enjoy the break

So glad you got a good night Cake: h and I went out a few weeks ago and spent it all going to all the places we can't usually go with the pram. We spent 2 hours at the trocadero and won a kitten toy for Gwen.

My macarons have worked. I can't express the intensity of the obsession which has gripped me over the last week trying to master them. I'be been dancing round the kitchen with joy. Sad eh?

Chulita · 30/01/2011 06:29

Morning all! Been up since 5.30 having fed S every 2 hours for the last 12 hours. I'm so tired but stuck in S's room cos DH is in our room and SIL and her bf are downstairs. I've spent the last 30 mins mopping up sick because S keeps getting onto all all fours and rocking which makes him spew, I move him and sit him up while I clean up and he does it again...just what you want first thing in the morning.

cake glad you had a good night with your dh. We looked at the Audi but settled on an Avensis and we love it - estates have so much room in them!

needle I love macaroons! never tried making them but I love eating them. fwiw when we bootcamped L it took nearly 2 weeks for her to get the idea.

I'm hoping to get S back down in a bit so I can get a bit more sleep. He's currently rolling across the floor trying to reach a plastic bag under the table.

Happy birthday Memphis!

Dh and I don't really get to go out much together except to daytime stuff (went to a great barbie this afternoon, caught up with quite a few people I hadn't seen for a while). MInd you, I'm not that bothered - I see quite a lot of dh Grin - I quite like nights out catching up with friends I don't see that often anymore.

memphis83 · 30/01/2011 08:14

thanks for birthday wishes, i didnt brave wearing my dress but got pissed as a fart walked home got a....kebab (thats how drunk i was!) and woke up early got 2 cook books, a new lovelonks charm and new camera from dh also getting boots tomorrow, money from his family and got more to come when L gets home, he screamed all night at my mums, she just said on phone i dont know why, its his teeth but she wont listen, im just glad he did it for her not me Grin

DesperateHousewife20 · 30/01/2011 09:21

Dylan woke every 2 hours last night. He didnt feed much during the day but because he didnt cry for it really so I thought he wasnt as hungry.
