kathh- .. you sad little thing!!!

maisiemog · 11/11/2005 19:25

Hi all,
I'm a bit cut-off at the moment, as dp cancelled the broadband and we don't have anything to replace it yet. So I'm at work! Just thought I'd drop in to see what was happening.
I don't have any pressies yet, but I think they will all be online stuff. Hate Christmas shopping.

jbadgirl · 11/11/2005 21:53

Hi guys, have bought pressies for about 6 people, sooooooooo many more to buy for. I find that the "Book people" are fantastic for pressies especially for my niece and nephew! Oh and dad-in-law-to-be, couple of mates etc!!!!!!

Went to Hydro therapy today with ds and he was such a good boy, he didnt cry once. He also had a bath last night that HE DIDNT CRY THROUGH! (very unusual for him).

biglips · 12/11/2005 18:44

maisie - come back ssooooonnnnn

jbad - he must be getting the hang of it getting in the bath. how long will the results come thru for your DS eye test? and why did you have the flu and pneumonia jab as same as DS?

Hotmama - not long to go now... before you know it, your baba will be runnung (never mind walking - lol! )

jbadgirl · 12/11/2005 21:34

Biglips - test results should take a couple of weeks to come through, i need to make an appointment with the orthoptist to get them!

We had both the jabs as recommended by the peadiatrician. Toby has had many chest infections and with his poor posture its hard to shift these nasties. She thought it best if me and dp had them but dp is a big girls blouse and wont have them especially after my complaining about my hurting "dead" arm!!!!

mum2sam · 12/11/2005 23:16

Yeeeey! Ds has finally started walking after mths of cruising. Its only been a wk and already hes sprinting around. What are you buying yours tots for xmas???

biglips · 13/11/2005 11:05

baba was abit naughty this morning as she took off her dirty nappy in her cot and smeared it all over her teddies!!!

cazzybabs · 14/11/2005 21:51

OMG biglips - YUCK!!!!! Grace is for ever undoing her nappy - thankfuilly so far there has been no poos!!!

I just had the best evening with her - we sat on the floor and played with her big sister's plastic tea set - with Grace making me lots of tea and cake to eat and drink - it was soo much fun.

I think for Xmas she is going to get a her own doll and a jack in the box from the ELC.

Jbadgirl - am thinking of you - hope the tests provide some answers!

biglips · 15/11/2005 09:30

this xmas im getting baba a dolly set (even though i dont really wants to buy another doll as she already got 2) as she is deffo a dolly baby! as she carry around 2 dollies at the same time and feeding with biscuit and drink and she gives them plently of hugs and kissys!!! (what is she like.. she sounded like a mum already ) and get her a Aquadraw mat too which looks fab!

biglips · 15/11/2005 09:33

mum2sam - hooray that baba is startin to walk - WATCH OUT! as you need a hundred pair of eyes

jbad - as your baba had the jabs - lets hope he is stays better longer (give him a hug for me {{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}}} and to you!)

Babas molar (1) are coming thru atm, she woken me up twice as first time i fed her she was suckin on the teats and fell asleep, the 2nd time i gave her calpol and she drank her bottle and fell asleep

hotmama1 · 15/11/2005 22:22

Has anyone booked in for MMR jabs yet. My surgery says to book dd in between 13-15 months - which I suppose is about now - but haven't yet - bit of a scaredy cat (me not dd)

Yay on all the walking toddlers - dd is still cruising.

Bellie · 15/11/2005 22:26

the letter for dd's MMR is sitting on the table - she is only 12.5 months - I think I will wait until she is at least 15 before booking her in.
She is definately teething again at the moment - lots of grumpy waking in the night and not sleeping properly during the day.
thinking of you jbad.
Biglips - OMG at nappies!!!

hotmama1 · 15/11/2005 22:30

Re teething - dd eventually got her first tooth just before her first birthday - and now has 2 - yay.

How far do teeth 'grow' IYSWIM before you brush them - HV said nt to brush straight away as gums would be too tender - assuming I don't wait until they are out all the way etc.

superblastofflips · 16/11/2005 08:10

hotmama - had it the teeth come right thru the gums or just the tip? as if it right thru, then you start brushing her teeth with no toothpaste to get the hang of it first and once she used to it start using the toothpaste. (but dont brush her teeth straightaway (with the toothpaste on it) after she had her brekkie or otherwise she throws it back up (like my baba did!)

The sooner you do it the better it will be for baba and yourself.

superblastofflips · 16/11/2005 08:11

ive been delaying my MMR (3 times) as baba wasnt well but now is all well

geogteach · 16/11/2005 13:28

I've finally done it DS2 has had a hair cut and now looks like a little boy. We've both had gastroentiritus and on Monday I had to take him to A and E because he fell off a bike at toddlers and banged his head. A very exciting week. Don't think he'll be walking anytime soon, but I like it that way. As for Christmas shopping I have decided that the earlier you start the longer it takes so i'm not doing any till December!

superblastofflips · 16/11/2005 21:20

geog - wow a haircut!.... DD will be 5 when seh have her first haircut as did you see on the photos of my DDs 1st bday as her hair is growing sssoooooooo slowly

baba had been cheeky lately as everytime she goes over to my collection of mucis CDS next to the tv, she stopped and turned around and give me that sneaky smile like she thinking "i know i shouldnt be doing this, but i am!", then i said "No!",as soon she heard me come off the couch, she grabs the cds and tried to run off with them!! - CHEEKY!

florenceuk · 16/11/2005 22:45

hi everyone! Lots of news to read - hope everyone is feeling OK? Geogteach, hope you have recovered from GE, IME there is nothing worse than throwing up and having to deal with toddler at the same time - even mastitis is preferable.

Well, DD has started throwing tantrums - lie down on the floor and scream tantrums - which are very funny. I thought they just turned one, not two? She has seven teeth now - when do the molars come - is it after the first eight front ones?

biglips, DD loves the CD rack and regularly pulls them out - and comes over and bops me on the head with them if I am not paying attention.

Bellie · 16/11/2005 22:52

wow - haircuts!! - dd's hair is just going curly - in fact it is curling upwards at the back so don't think I will be needing haircuts anytime soon!!
Florence - dd has 7 teeth too - it makes her smile look lopsided as she needs tooth number8 to even it out!! Apparently molars are from 15 months - but one of my friends ds's has 3 of his coming already at 13 months - so I guess any time soon!!
Cds are obviously a popular plaything - they are prized items in this house!

superblastofflips · 17/11/2005 10:28

my baba had got 4 tops and 4 bottom teeth and a molar on left had came thru (i can see the tip ot if) and the molar on the right the gums is all swelled up and can feel it coming thru...

there is this baby boy - 11 mths - and he got 2 tops and 2 bottoms and a molar that had already came thru a while ago..

superblastofflips · 17/11/2005 10:34

oh yeah, my baba had gota tantrum and a half!!!! as she throws herselfon the floor and start grabbing things and throws them on the floor - shock!!!!! i just ignore her!!

cazzybabs · 17/11/2005 12:05

Grace def. doesn't need a hiarcut yet - mind you dd1 is 3.5 and doesn't need one either - guess they have inherited my fine hair then!!!

We are putting off her MMR - just want to wait till she is 18 months...mind you she is soo full of cold at the moment (Again!!!)

superblastofflips · 17/11/2005 12:08

its a saying that if the baba gone no hair or a bit of hair.. she is gonna have thick hair... like me!, but DP got fine hair but alot of it!

superblastofflips · 17/11/2005 12:09

so she'll either take after me or DP

maisiemog · 18/11/2005 19:04

Hi all,
just dropping in whilst at work, hope everyone is ok, especially Riebee hope you are alright.
Alfie walked once and hasn't bothered to do more than a few steps between things since, just crawling around and totally wrecking the house pulling out all the drawers and cupboards and climbing up stuff.
I'm not that keen on having to put shoes on hims as I never seem to be able to put on his shoes without a struggle (fat feet) and always lose on of them. He is currently going out in socks (can't find two of them either).
It's getting really cold in Edinburgh, but it's nice to get wrapped up and enjoy the lovely skies, instead of grey rain.
Very cute photo of baba biglips, more closeup piccie though, I can't see her properly (or you and your lovely face)
Speaking of which, as soon as we get our flipping internet back on I'll try to upload a photo of me and Alfie, so you can put a face to the name.
We haven't heard about the MMR yet.
Kath you never did say what happened to Moley in Tenerife - he started running?
