2010 - the best year of my life, for half of it I was pregnant and for the other half had my baybee. Grin

muser Anyone who buys/rents a flat and then complains about noise is a cunt. Don't want noise? Buy a fucking detached house in the Hebrides then cunt.

That is my view Alps. But our flat was owned by a single woman previously, who clearly never moved. We just had new thick carpets to put in to try and help. There is literally nothing else I can do, unless they want to lower their ceilings so their ceiling isn't our floor.

Oh fuck em. I had a hormonal weep and now I'm back to feeling rage.

AlpinePony · 22/02/2011 11:19

Well, as others have suggested - you could always wait until Bob is having a puce style screaming fit, then nip downstairs for a chat. Wink

They certainly wouldn't appreciate Rastus today then. He has cried since he woke up at 8 and will not sleep even though he's knackered, preferring instead to howl the house down. He's never usually like this and naps well. Quite depressing esp since we tried some CC at 3.30 this morning and he was still going at 4.30. Tsk.

CUNextTuesday · 22/02/2011 11:32

muse don't let twatish fuckwits spoil the enjoyment of your newborn. They are grown ups, they'll survive a bit of broken sleep. Just ask any FESH Grin

CurlyCasper · 22/02/2011 11:42

they are just twats muse. Ignore.

Hope fanny's family are not affected by quake.

I am in car on M6 with baby who has just woken up and is pulling her special poo face. great.

Muser · 22/02/2011 11:43

Bob doesn't even have screaming fits yet! They really are idiots. I shall do my bit by avoiding loo flushing in the early hours. I normally do that anyway, unless it has to be done. And if they moan I shall point out that their dog barks constantly when they're out.

Cosmosis · 22/02/2011 11:43

don't post and drive curls! Wink

CurlyCasper · 22/02/2011 11:47

why not? Think i'll have a Wine too.

P.s. sFF is at the wheel, just for clarity

CUNextTuesday · 22/02/2011 11:51

45 minutes and counting... just as it goes quiet and i think he's nodded off he starts up again. I've no idea where he's getting his energy from Sad

SilverSky · 22/02/2011 12:16

muse KnobJockeys. Ignore them. FFS. Have they heard of ear plugs!?

Yay for Alps and nursery. Hope you are referring to Chunky KitKats. Nom nom.

Tues sorry you are having shite day.

fp wot curlysue said. Hope all are well.

meds I think that the baybee arriving changes your perspective on everything and the tiredness makes you lose your patience. That's if you have any to begin with. I never did. It's just that the menfolk don't / can't think or see the things the way us wimminz do wrt to babycare. Nor do they have that instinct or foresight to step in without being asked. Cos as we all know "[you] only have to ask and I'll do it"!!!!! GAH!

Clucks get MrC to pack their bags and give them a little push hint to depart now. Soz about sore nips. Letting BM dry on them often soothes the soreness. Honest.

I am stuck on the drive in car with sleeping child who hasn't slept since waking up at 630.

House looks like WW2 has happened inside and all I want to so is slob about stuffing my face with crisps. But I can't. Balls. I want a cleaner who also tidies/files and who will generally do everything! Not much to ask for is it?

CUNextTuesday · 22/02/2011 12:35

Ok so the first time i see Rastus smile today is with a face full of rusk and whilst i'm having a coughing fit that sees my pelvic floor fail comprehensively.

OkieCokie · 22/02/2011 16:47

Cunts clearly he knows you return to work soon and he is playing up. Little monkey.

Muse My neighbours are elderly but their 40 yr old son lives with them too. His room was right next to baby's room and during nights when we had hysterical screaming he would turn the TV on and put the volume right up. I, as much as him don't want to hearing a screaming child in the night either but. It would annoy me but it doesn't anymore I just think c'est la vie.

Alps yeah for creche!

Backinthebox · 22/02/2011 21:10

Living in the middle of nowhere has it's advantages. However it does mean my daughter feels it is acceptable for her to yell at the top of her voice when she wants me. Fine when she does it at home, embarrassing when she does it in the supermarket, for example.

Cluck have they gone yet? Even MrBox went 'Ooooooooooh! No. Nonononono.' when I told him they were staying.

Anyone had this current lurgy were you feel like the bottom third of your lungs is filled with one solid lump of snot? How long does it take to go away? I have a FESH baby needs photographing, ya know, and I can hardy take the lurgy there. (Although they may well have had it on past performance! Wink)

And here we have reasons why I am sad today; the end game of my hobby and social life being played out. How the hell do you unravel this one? Even worse, the description here is only a party of what has been going on. Bummer. Looks like I'll be looking for a new hunt next year.

Backinthebox · 22/02/2011 21:15

Btw. I am sticking my fingers in my ears and going lalala about childcare for now but apparently when I get back from skiing I will have to place my advert. Wanted: person to take charge of 2 small people while mother swans around African banana republics and ensure they are dressed in clothing resembling outfits. Must drive, unless you like wading through mud to get anywhere. GSOH essential, for those moments when you slip on your arse on duck poo. Weird hours and loads of time off for the right party. Obviously if you are not working much we won't want to be paying too much either....

FannyPriceless · 22/02/2011 22:38

Thanks curls and silv. Is horrible, horrible news but all family seem to be OK. Great aunt aged 90 we have not heard from but my parents had a text from neice in Aus to say they thought she was OK. Still waiting for confirmation from the police. When we were in NZ at Christmas we were shocked at how much the September quake after-shocks were still going on. Many people suffering PTSD. Truly horrible what has happened today.Sad

AlpinePony · 23/02/2011 08:20

silv Am very worried about you. :( How are you really ? Not what HI thinks, not what your MIL things, but how you are doing. You can always spout off in t'other place of course.

pollychops Are the drugs working yet? How are you feeling? Dog and boo and lilboo and the author?

OP posts:
Cosmosis · 23/02/2011 09:15

silv I am also worried, get thyself to other place and speak to us properly please. It is ok to admit you are struggling. I have been on the verge of it, definitely.

fanny glad all family seem ok. It is truly shocking :(

box for the right person I think you are describing an awesome job!

AlpinePony · 23/02/2011 10:16

silv Have you thought about getting in touch with reggie at all? Your boys were born within a few days of each other, she loves horse & dogs and I've got a 100% personal guarantee that she's not up her own arse (she's one of my oldest friends) and she's only about 30 miles from you and I bet there's a cake & coffee shop halfway. I can put you in touch if you like or demand that she arranges something?

OP posts:
PollyPoo · 23/02/2011 10:28

Join me in menkul corner Silv, we can rock and jibber together. No shame in it!

Alps I am doing pretty shit tbh. I am struggling to get out of the house, even though I know it will make me feel better. Side effects from tablets worn off, but they don't seem to have kicked in yet. I am really struggling. Sad I've got another docs appt tomorrow to review. It is half term and Boo is home and bored, she wants to go out and do things and see people, and I just want to hide under a duvet. BB has got thrush in her mouth AGAIN and has been a screechy nightmare for the last few days. Hopefully she will settle down again now we've realised what the problem is - just waiting for the doc to ring back and put up prescription for her. TG did late feed (11pm) last night so I made for bed at 9.30, then TG decides that is the perfect time to have a moan discussion about his job anxieties. Eventually got to bed at 10, but woke at midnight cos I could hear BB screeching and TG getting annoyed. He couldn't settle her so brought her up to me at 12.30. So much for my early night... gah. Bet you wish you never asked eh, Pone?!

Box I love the sound of the job... if only I could ditch my own children I would happily take it on!

Cosmosis · 23/02/2011 10:32

pols are you still bfing? if so you need to make sure you get treated as well otherwise you'll just keep reinfecting each other. And you need to make sure your hygeine is top notch, hot wash everything - sheets, towels etc, iron your bras as hot as you can, otherwise the infection comes back from them as well. If not bfing you just need to apply all the above rules to what she is in contact with, sheets, teats etc.

AS for the tablets, they can take a few weeks to kick in, but they will, I promise.

PollyPoo · 23/02/2011 10:43

Thanks Cos . No, I'm afraid I stopped BF last week, I just couldn't hack it any more. It was adding too much to the depression so BB is now on FF. Sad I really hoped I could make it work this time but it was not to be. Still feeling guilty about it as BB was thriving, but I had to put my mental health first. Bollox, am feeling so teary today. Wah.

Cosmosis · 23/02/2011 10:52

Don't feel guilty! What's the point of bf if it's making your life hell? That would be insane :)

PollyPoo · 23/02/2011 10:55

I know, I know. I am a mad old boot.

Silv where are you?

Cosmosis · 23/02/2011 10:58

Ah the old wet fish slap, that makes everyone feel better! I know what it's like to be a mad old boot believe me, I count myself lucky every day I did not end up with pnd, I was pretty sure I would.
