2010 - the best year of my life, for half of it I was pregnant and for the other half had my baybee. Grin

alps i can see that being hom in not many more years :-) Although if he moves up to the Lakes to set up his garage and i stay down here for a while cos my salary will have to pay for the new house up there till i find a decent job, his argument will be low quality.

That is the latest plan BTW. 'Where am i going to live if you are selling the house to buy a garage and deposit on a house up there?' says I. 'Oh well i will ask my mum if you and Rastus can move in there' Hom breezily replies. Hmm

AlpinePony · 02/02/2011 15:24

So you'll be doing a mum-swap? There's an ITV reality show right there. :(

CUNextTuesday · 02/02/2011 15:49

Never mind reality show, look out on Crimewatch

AlpinePony · 02/02/2011 15:57

Tbh I'm not surprised - I'm a little Hmm at la cunts being left 'omeless carrying the bairn whilst his lordship lives it up in some luxury beachfront abode.

Umm.... Hello... Room for a very very late one?

MsFC · 02/02/2011 16:17

So.

Firstly its taken me so long to get here! It's all been a bit of a headspin till now - I've just got myself organised to find time to get on the PC (rather than my ipad, which is a bit more of a palava to type long posts...)

And now for the birth story. Its actually relatively short. I really wanted a VBAC, but I had an agreement with the consultant that if I got to 40+12 they would go straight to a CS without all the stress of inducing me. On 37+3 my waters broke. Well trickled really. I went to hospital & I had really high BP, so they kept me in overnight. Then at 5pm the next day they decided to gently induce me with the plan that if nothing happened after 8 hours they would do a CS. TBH, I'm not sure what they did to induce me, I was on the monitor with a just a saline drip & some antibiotics, but no gel or anything. I didn't dilate and so I went in for a CS at midnight on Friday.

And thats it really! Mini FC was 7lbs11, and we came home on Sun. My life since has been mainly consisting of school runs, washing, sore nipples, breast pumps and take aways...! But I think I'm finally back on top. I have stopped the painkillers and have restarted the Abel & Cole box as I can face cooking again.

And on Friday I'm going to start the 10pm feed as formula, so that I get get out occasionally, for my sanity. Id love any FESH advice telling me how much I should give please!

CUNextTuesday · 02/02/2011 16:32

How much formula? It will tell you on the back on a box of formula, or we used half a ready made carton.

Welcome, by the way!

OkieCokie · 02/02/2011 17:15

Welcome MsFc! pleased to see you around these parts. SOrry for house moving hell FP but it will be all worth it!

I have Peppa's on the change mat on louncg floor with her arse out again, it is still like a baboon. FFS. And she pisses a lot. Must clear up and do nursery run - and believe me I am not looking glam.

AlpinePony · 02/02/2011 18:10

MrsFC I'd say make up 120ml and be happy if he downs 60+. Welcome obviously to the "too posh to push" club - you're not even the first to have 2 cat-flaps put in. Old news.

Cosmosis · 02/02/2011 18:17

hello mrsfc, and here is some over-ripe blue cheese and a large g&t by way of welcome.

alpie probably rescue centre although we've been looking at ads on gumtree where people want to re-home their cats too. don't agree with breeding cats so won't be paying £££ for some fancy schmancy type.

Cosmosis · 02/02/2011 18:18

Oh and meant to say, Artie is mostly practicing learning to sit up at the moment. he will be 5 months at the weekend, how the chuffing hell did that happen????

MsFC · 02/02/2011 18:48

Aww, you guys! Thanks for the welcome and advice too. Just two more days till I can have a -bottle- glass of wine. I know I still could now, but Im just not brave enough to chance it in case it makes miniFC mental & I have to deal with him! So just two more days to wait...

And very pleased to hear there are others in the twice sunroof club. God I need a tummy tuck now like you wouldn't believe....

SilverSky · 02/02/2011 19:20

Welcome to the Spa MsFC!

I've only has one CS and need body sculpting let alone a tummy tuck!!!

rollerbaby · 02/02/2011 20:54

woo hoo she's here! Finally woman, glad to see you got your arse over here! And soz why are you waiting to have a glass o wine ???? Makes them sleep all the better you know... Sounds like you have been getting on marvellously. I've still barely cooked in the evenings and I'm 12 weeks in. Can you believe it - 12 weeks??? My wee baba is a little munchkin.

We are missing Mr Moo this end. Dog, me and babymoo.

AlpinePony · 03/02/2011 06:08

moo in babymoo's defence he was never a "wee baba"! Wink I know - the time just flies by. I now have a 7 month old and we're thinking about his first birthday party rather than which way to hold him up and how to change a nappy.

We're on our last packet of size 3 nappies - must've inherited his mother's slinky arse.

silv I've been eyeing these Gok Wan shaper thingies and wondering if I should invest. I had a nice one before - not one of these hideous things which comes down to your knees - a line has to be drawn between smoothing out the lumps and wearing a head-to-toe compression bandage. The only things which are putting me off are i) needle & eyes (faaaaahsands of 'em, like Zulus they are) and ii) I'd need to get a string one due to size of buttocks - which in effect leaves the buttocks to roam free. For me they always gape in the tummy and cut in to my arse. I need an arse-friendly one.

Helllooooo Gok - fat arse/small smaller waist here! Coooooeeeeee!

honey When is he back? I can imagine you're missing him like crazy - but thank god you've a bed full of trouble right now to cuddle at nights, and if you cast your mind back 12 weeks you'd have had palpitations at the thought of him going away overnight and now check you out - you're juggling a doggle, a baybee, wine and you're thinking about possibly entering the kitchen with more than an empty Dairy Milk wrapper. Progress woman! Grin

okie Is she still doing all that pooping? Poor little Peppa. :(

CUNextTuesday · 03/02/2011 09:49

Jebus, still in size 3's alps. We are on 4+ here!

moo i can't believe you get out of cooking. I have cooked every dinner that wasn't a takeaway all through pregnancy and since Rastus was born. And there's 3 other adults in this house . In my defence though it's only if i make the food i can guarantee seeing my little boy grow up.

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 03/02/2011 10:42

When you said Gok Wan string things I pictured a string vest corset affair. For longer than was healthy.

Bit hungover. Lie-in rudely curtailed by the special sound of a nappy filling.

I haven't cooked since 1973. These days TSF opts to cook rather than live off convenience food. Today of course I am craving convenience food...need the preservatives to fire me up...

Hello MrsFC! Welcome! Thanks for your birth story! >

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 03/02/2011 11:15

Clint is 4mo yesterday. Period started yesterday. Spooky.

rollerbaby · 03/02/2011 11:16

I think there was something in that rioja last night. Today I have a bit of a headache. More importantly Babymoo did 1030pm until 5am!!! Wooooooooooo.

I do help an ickle bit with the cooking cunty (like answering questions such as, "where do we keep the garlic?" and "what's a bay leaf?") but normally I am busy putting to bed before 7 and if I don't eat by 8 I am a mardy shite, so Mr Moo knows better than to sit about in the kitchen, sipping wine and typing nonsense into Twitter . Given that I do all baby feeding, I think it is fair enough. I also do all washing and tidying and moaning.

aply he WAS a wee baba compared to what he is now! I really feel like I have taken the first while for granted and should have realised how quickly they grow. Feel a bit sad but at the same time he is so gorgeous and smiley and feeding/sleeping is so much easier now, so I can't complain.

Having major wobbles about Monday's gig. Mr Moo will be really cross if I say I don't want to go.

CUNextTuesday · 03/02/2011 11:41

Oh yes moo all that is mine too. You have an infinitely more helpful partner than me, and for that please accept this poke in the eye Grin

SilverSky · 03/02/2011 11:44

okie sorry to hear Peppa is still pooping!! Has she stopped yet?

alps that sounds positively painful. Think I'll stick with being wobbly for a bit longer. Couple of chums said it's still too early to be worrying about lumps and bumps. Tho somehow the stash of chocolate I've been devouring seems to be not helping the cause.

I too don't cook. When HI is not here it's ready meals or basic shiz hence I am a bit concerned that MB cannot be expected to live off pasta and pesto. Like what I do.

Been to look at second nursery. HI hated it. So MB will go to the one closer to home. Already not looking forward to taking him and leaving him there.

AlpinePony · 03/02/2011 12:09

Gor blimey guv'nor - I've just had an email from rot's shop - it's a closing down sale frenzy!

OkieCokie · 03/02/2011 20:10

Moo don't worry about the fact he is not a newborn anymore as you will have another at some point and you will spend the first 3 months just cuddling it and not worrying so much, like what I did Smile

Thanks for all your concerns about Peppa's arse. She is still pooing but it is no longer green, it is more normal yellow but it is still frequent and it is still very watery so we still have sore bum. The cream from the doctor has done jack shit. I need a day at home to air it again but my social life is getting in the way.

Mr C does the cooking at the moment. I feed 2 kids, he feeds me. That is the rule at the moment. Tonight he is out so I will bang a ready meal in microwave. I do love cooking though but by the end of the day I a too knackered and brain dead to lift a saucepan.

By the way Alps it is nice to have you back, I have missed your banter.

Good on you Vag for hangover. Trust you had a good night.

rollerbaby · 03/02/2011 20:56

cunty maybe you should stop cooking and put sandwiches in fridge or summat. That would learn him. Also thank you so much for bear snowsuit and size 4 nappies. We have used all nappies and no more explosions up the back and snowsuit looks gorgeous. Totally brilliant.

okie you iz right of course. I am being a soppy tit. Sleep deprivation doesn't allow you to fully appreciate them but now am really loving all the smiles and cuddles. Does that sound bad? Glad Peppa is getting better slowly. That is one nasty dose of diarrhoea... poor lamb.

Today we have had a nice day. I have also managed to get little one to take 40ml of formula off me in the afternoon and approx 60ml at bedtime (although a fair bit down chin). The bedtime one was in between 5 minute screaming fits but I managed to calm him down and keep at it and not take any shit -and went really slowly. Just lots of calm cuddles and reassurance. In the end he just stopped taking anything so didn't offer him any boob and just put him down for sleep and walked out! And he bloody well went to sleep!!!! Still is now, but can't believe he'll last til 1030 when I normally wake him as surely he hasn't eaten very much? Is 60ml of formula equal to 60ml of breastmilk I wonder? I've expressed 120 for later and hopefully will wake him and try and feed it to him half asleep. This is the plan.

Tomorrow we have heating engineer and 12 week jabs. It cannot go well.

rollerbaby · 03/02/2011 23:53

2 hour session from 1130 til now. Included 30 minutes of screaming and crying. He took 10 ml and then fell asleep at which point I cried. Then cajoled another 50 as he slept. Gave up just now and gave him boob. Fucking he'll. Tell me why I'm doing thus again someone please?
