2010 - the best year of my life, for half of it I was pregnant and for the other half had my baybee. Grin

T'internet has gone weird this week. My hunting friends have all invented aliases and are having a riotous time on FB slagging off other hunter members - we have political ishoos with my hunt and it has all got a bit childish. I can't tell who is who now, and i keep getting random friend requests from invented characters for the purpose of mischief making. my showing friends have gone nuclear because one of our number had a glass of wine last night and asked on our chartroom 'fat people -why bother with weight watchers? Get a bike and eat less.' I paraphrase, obviously. She was much blunter! (Cluck it was my Scottish friend who housesat for me, if you remember her.) it was a bit like she lobbed the bombshell in and then disappeared.

It's all very weird.

Cosmosis · 27/01/2011 21:54

Box Artie had his 3rd jabs too, delayed from Christmas. He was such a brave ickle soljer.

FP yay for meeting up!

SilverSky · 27/01/2011 22:16

MB has jabs tomorra too. Wanted HI to take him but he's working so can't. So I get to see his chubby chops go all tomato like when he screams blue murder as the evil baby hurting bitch nurse injects him.

On that basis, I'll have some more wine. In preparation for the stress that the 'morrow brings.

box I can only imagine the hijinks!! Do these people not realise that just cos they name change they are not necessarily safe from being Identified.

Backinthebox · 27/01/2011 22:33

Jabs are strange. TT screamed her head off when she had hers but was easily placated with booby. LG is less easily calmed with milk, but has charmed the nurse with big smiles each time. You don't always get tears.

As for the horsey peeps, Silv, someone you know told someone I know to stop being childish in Monday, and now all hell has broken loose. It's all a bit sad, actually, because alL the people I liked are leaving.

Backinthebox · 27/01/2011 22:36

Btw, I normally pride myself on being eloquent, but this fucking iPad thingywhatsit makes it impossible to type sensibly. It has even just autocorrected what I typed to thingywhatsit, which I will confess is far more inventive than what I actually typed, so I will leave it there.

SilverSky · 28/01/2011 08:41

Oooh intriguing! Think I can guess who that was! Will you change hunts? I rode again on Weds which was nice. Going again in the morning!!

So do I give Calpol before or after jabs? Plz to advise how you actually get stuff to stay in babies gob?

Cosmosis · 28/01/2011 08:50

after silv and only if you think it's needed - artie needed it before the first set but not the other two. we just use the spoon, he takes it fine.

I am v pleased with him today, he was excellent at getting himself back to sleep in the night with no intervention from me ( apart from the wake ups when he needed feeding)

FannyPriceless · 28/01/2011 08:55

silv Calpol after. Ask pharmacist for a medicine syringe. Stick finger between baybee's gums, squirt a little at a time on to tongue/side of mouth, wait and maybe liightly stoke throat to encourage them to swallow it. Done.

Oh no, wait... as above but I missed the part about babybee gagging, turning puce, spitting what looks like 3x the amount back at you after each attempt, red sticky Calpol runs all over babybee's neck/face/new top, Mummy grabs muslin to wipe away mess but knocks over entire bottle of Calpol on to carpet, etc..

Good luck.Hmm

FannyPriceless · 28/01/2011 09:01

Envy and once again Envy at cosmo's 'Artie takes it from a spoon'. Though tbh Clyde did the first couple of times too. He must have figured it out by now hence the indignant spitting.

Well done on the sleeping!

Backinthebox · 28/01/2011 12:36

Fanny has it right about the Calpol Grin

Silv it was the lady who's last name is a colour. She wasn't the senior master on the day but decided to very publicly tell one of our longest standing subscribers off for saying on FB that he recently had a very boring day hunting. So the subscriber stormed off in a huff vowing never to return and the senior master was cross that another master undermined his more tactful approach, and now FB has gone a bit barmy. I don't want to leave, as I like having the opportunity to hunt less than 20 minutes away - I have 2 children now and can't be doing with driving miles when there is a perfectly good hunt on my doorstep. But it would seem I will be doing it all by myself if this carries on!

Talking of doing it all by myself - supposed to be going with Clucky on Monday, but she's gone all quiet. Just off to phone her!

AlpinePony · 28/01/2011 14:22

hello everyone, I hope you're all doing well.

We drove home early from hols yesterday as Bear has been sick and it seemed a little pointless having him looked after during the day so I could sleep... everyone seems happier at home. Good hol thought and I'd recommend MW to anyone. What price can you put on piece of mind, a break from mum and fantastic childcare? Well, as little as 500 smackers a week. We will definitely use them again, the childcare was amazing although he has picked up "velcro baby" tendencies. Hmm :(

welcome back, sorry he's been poorly.

SilverSky · 28/01/2011 15:23

box I fort it would be her!!!!!!! In fact should have laid a bet on it being her!! Oh the joys of FB.

Today's vaccs weren't as bad. For me any hoo. MB wasn't so happy. He even gave the nurse a big ol' grin before she jabbed him.

Welcome back alp woss wrong with Bear???!

AlpinePony · 28/01/2011 15:33

Nothing too serious silv - just unknown germs from ghastly english children! Wink But my angel baybee and darling of the creche and hotel wasn't sleeping and was mis. Mum too. Confused (flu)

Glad to be home? Ski much? Vin chaud or three or fifty??

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 28/01/2011 19:07

Ski! Hope you got gnarly or whatever the lingo is...hope you managed to have some r&r.

Clint is making fish-faces. Is ace. Worry he is sucking his lips in to ease sore gums but is v funny.

CurlyCasper · 28/01/2011 21:27

I'm going to meet Fanny! Grin SFF seems a little concerned that I plan to visit the home of someone I have only met through the internet. I told him that someone else I only know through the internet ( cosmo ) has done the same. And that that someone has been visited by someone I have met ( iggy ), so all will be fine. Logical, no? Wink

( fan I will be back in touch about times etc once spoken to SFF properly).

And, if alps has checked all her emails, she might be able to tell me if I'll be meeting her this year too, as we have both been invited to the same function. Welcome back skibunny. Hope Bear is better soon.

On the Calpol front, we usually mix it with enough water or milk to make it flow (just a little) and feed from a bottle. Never gets refused that way and much cleaner than trying to use a spoon.

Hello vag. Nice to have you around. And glad you all had a nice time round cunty's gaff.

Fesh shopping list so far: Gin, Spliffs, beef, cake, wine. Anything to add?

FannyPriceless · 28/01/2011 22:02

Ha! ha! ha! Grin

But SFF is right. I am actually a plasterer named Dave. I have been setting up this elaborate honey trap for the last year and a half. You should be honoured that I have gone to this much trouble in order to entrap you!Wink

alpie Welcome back, but sorry about the circumstances of your return. Hope Bear is soon better.

GIANT CHOCOLATE BUTTONS

CUNextTuesday · 28/01/2011 22:03

Gah!

CUNextTuesday · 28/01/2011 22:08

Rastus went to childminder today whilst i went into work. Got his daily diary in front of me. Favourite activity: playing with duplo building blocks & making new friends. I also enjoyed: storytime and looking at books.

Is it pathetically soft to have stomach-squeezings at this? My little boy Sad

FannyPriceless · 28/01/2011 22:19

Aww! @ Cunty.

SilverSky · 28/01/2011 22:38

Abso-freaking-lutely!!!! Prepared to be more squished when you get more sheets!!!

I can't believe I am still awake at this hour.

cas HI didn't even ask where I was going or who I was meeting til I was enroute and he hasn't asked me anything about the meet up with the FESHes. Would be nice if he showed an iota of interest or concern for my welfare.

CUNextTuesday · 28/01/2011 22:57

You should act a bit shady-like and pretend you were off to meet a lithe, muscular outdoors type. Then he'll take an interest i bet
