We're going to spain, dps step sister owns a villa out there and they're letting us have it for free for the week, can't wait!

kkfairybrains · 04/01/2011 15:19

really hope the routine works out for you tsc! we're having a really crap time with ellie with bedtime and naptime. she just will not go into her cot and just screams. it's not like her at all.
had to bring dp to doc today. he's been in bed with the flu all week then he was fine for a day or 2 and then he was up all last night with an almighty earache. so brought him in and he has a really bad infection in it and she thinks its perforated but it was hard to tell as it was so inflamed. so we got her to have a look over ellie just while we were there as she hasn't been herself and she's all viral. doc said you can see it in her eyes even so maybe thats what all this fussing at bedtime is about . so yet again i have 2 patients to look after! they always get bloody sick together!
dh sounds lovely the villa! is D going?
our next holiday is in may i think. it'll be a big family holiday and we will get a couple of villa's beside each other. we'll be bringing my granny and grandad as their birthday presents as we probably won't get another holiday with them. looking forward to it! just have to get money together to book it now.
STILL NO BLOODY WATER going off my head with it now at this stage. i want to clean my house and do washing and have a nice shower in my own bathroom. and still no clue of when it will be back. can't believe it's on the news everywhere! it is pretty crap though. even in the docs this morning they had none.
going to have a look at that thread shortly tsc...

DesperateHousewife20 · 04/01/2011 16:00

Oh yes sorry I forgot that question, yes D will be coming with us. His first hol!
Im SO looking forward to it Grin

Have any of you had to resort to CC yet? The HV told me to do it with Dylan and told me I shouldnt co-sleep Confused I mean Im all for giving it a go but honestly I cant see it working and Ill go back to what we were doing having endured a week of crying (me and dylan!)

Should I give it a try?

tsc do you co-sleep? If so how long are you planning on doing it for?

memphis83 · 04/01/2011 16:04

tsc i read the thread they are fucking nutters! shes a faddy eater that has the genes that make her tall and thin, she has periods and has boobs so shes clearly got an eating disorder (the twats) I was a veggie for a while because the smell of meat made me sick now i can cook it but cant cook red meat because of the smell! I agree with you on not having pasta for 2 meals, and saw you said about eggs, 2 eggs a day is really good for you, they recommend in the morning as they fill you up for longer so if she eats eggs maybe a cheese ommlette? oh and i saw your dp was making tuscan bean stew, i would love the recipe for that, even looked in all my rubbish veggie books and there isnt a recipe!!
well all ive done all day is try and add things to ebay and change poopy nappies, he has had about 6 and they smell so bad so hes clearly getting rid of it all now must have really hurt bless him but he keeps trumping abd they are loud and like a typical boy he giggles afterwards, i think its because he feels relief!!

kkfairybrains · 04/01/2011 16:15

aw memphis thats so funny!! thats brill he's clearing out the poor little sod!
tsc that kind of shit really gets on my wick on aibu. i just have to laugh at the way people can diagnose straight away that she has an eating disorder! she's a typical teenager! i donr that whole veggie thing for a while as a teenager but it was just a phase. and i didn't like vegetables and stuff either! if you feel that she isn't getting enough vitimans etc from her food you can get her supplements. you came across really well though!

kkfairybrains · 04/01/2011 16:16

oh and btw i was just sitting here watching tv and heard a glugging noise and ran around the house in excitement turning on the taps to see if it was real and it is........WE HAVE WATER!!! hallelujia!!!!!

DesperateHousewife20 · 04/01/2011 16:43

YAY!! You must be SOOO relieved Grin

CrimboCakeandRoses · 04/01/2011 16:49

Hey all,

Another brief post whilst I have signal.

Brill news re your water kk!!

Missing you guys too, mlic ! Tis weird how much this thread is part of my life now actually! Just chuckled at your dream tsc :-)

Just tried out F in A's super new Rose and Rebellion sling - for the first time, more for fun than anything and he was on my back literally 3 seconds when dh overheard a judgey old moo whining 'oh I don't understand why people put their children on their backs' grrrr!! It was too late to say anything back so I was doing clever retorts in my head halfway round exeter after that!

Having a lovely time trudyla

Think we're braving the states with the children in the next few months < must be bloody mad emoticon > Am sooo dreading the flight.

Good luck with the routine tsc!

dh we still co-sleep with F most of the time as he comes in with us at some point in the night whilst he's teething or ill and then we usually can't be arsed getting him out of the habit when he's better. Because of that we've never co-slept with A as there's no room!

Oh and I put another cover on her last night and raised her bed to more or a gradient and she slept miles better (woke up twice instead of 100 times) so not sure if she was refluxy or cold or both!

One bar left, better post!!

CrimboCakeandRoses · 04/01/2011 16:53

Have a lovely time trudyla not having!

DesperateHousewife20 · 04/01/2011 16:56

Dont know if this has been said, apologies if it has.
chillita has made it on to the discussions of the day board! Congrats!

CrimboCakeandRoses · 04/01/2011 16:58

Have a lovely time trudyla - not having!

Woodlands · 04/01/2011 17:16

great news kk!

hope d is better, dylthan.

tsc that was a classic aibu thread. i wouldn't worry! good luck with the frankie bootcamp.

weaning's going well here, j loves sucking on sticks of food and being spoonfed. he doesn't like it much when a lumpbreaks off in his mouth though! am feeling a bit sad that he's not just been made by me any more... am also feeling a bit like I'm not doing either BLW or traditional weaning 'right' - am making it up as i go along. am sure it will work out.

DesperateHousewife20 · 04/01/2011 17:44

woodlands I do that too, he has a bit of BLW and spoon so Im sure we're doing it right!

Dylthan · 04/01/2011 17:56

kk you must be delighted I'm so pleased for you.

cakes I'm glad A slept better for you. I hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday.

tsc I read a bit of your thread and loons would be the word I would use to. I think somepeople like to make a drama on here to make up for their own boring lives.

Memphis Smile boys are great d's always laughed at his own farts to. I'm so glad that L is getting better today just sorry for you having to clear up all the smelly nappies. It must be such a relief to see him on the mend now.

Well d is miles better today. Grin he's slightly quiter then usual but apart from that he's pretty much his normal self. It's funny how quickly kids can bounce back.

Just read tsc's aibu thread. I think it's hilarious how people jump to conclusions on MN. I particularly like the ones where someone says "My dh is leaving his dirty socks on the floor" and within about 10 minutes someone is posting "LEAVE HIM! LEAVE HIM! HE IS ABUSIVE!" Grin
