I think I'll have to rule myself out of any meet-ups, current or future Wink

DesperateHousewife20 · 21/01/2011 08:33

stac yeah I know its so exciting! My mum kept saying that Im going to wear a tiara in front of DP though Angry
Shes so annoying like that, she just doesnt think, she'll give away my dress next I know it Hmm

Im going to the BIG primark up at Lakeside today! Ive never been there before so v excited.

I got lovely, new jeans from Asos the other day. Put them on for the first time, Dylan was sick ALL DOWN THEM.
I was not impressed.

well, great start to the day here:

A sicked up her morning feed all over me in bed (think she strained to trump right after it and the pressure made her throat lever open, or something)

Felix ran to the loo to get tissue. Disappeared for ages. When I eventually exited from the vom and reached the loo he was covering everything in sight with loo roll a la the andrex puppy because (i'd forgotten) he doesn't know how to do the vital breaking off of the tissue.

Jumped in shower to wash off sick leaving F entertaining A in her crib, returned to find F had accidentally kicked over a whole filter jug's worth of water all over the floor, my mobile, blackberry, book etc.

It has to improve...

altho it seems F is teething again and has been a total bloody monster so far this morning, none of the angel of the last few weeks left Sad

mlic i'm sure we could make the changes easy somehow but it'd still be a v long journey in a day Sad

oh and the footie/decorating posts last night sounded like an average 'conversation' in the house Grin

dh your wedding venue sounds wonderful - and the price is amazing! deffo snap their hand off!

sounds as tho

Chulita · 21/01/2011 09:17

Oh come on wss make an effort! Grin
mlic has he got croup? L has been getting it a lot recently and she sounds like a seal when she cries but tends to be fine during the day.
dh Dylan was sick all over your size 8s? I'm so sorry ... [finds it hard to be sympathetic]
needle ooh, a meet up sounds really fun :) ILs live in St Albans so if I could stand staying over with them I could get the train down on the day.
I sometimes wonder who of us would get on if we met up in rl.
I'm nothing special, 5ft3 and wider than I should be. 'non-accent' although sometimes a bit of Kenya sneaks through (well hidden unless I chat to my brothers), hair never brushed as well as it should, clothes always rumpled cos I hate that freaking iron (and comfy, not fashionable). I talk for Britain too and always outstay my welcome Grin I've been called posh and intimidating which makes me laugh cos I'm neither!
memphis how many poos today?
viksam S is my second and I'm feeling a bit lost with weaning. Is it bad to get serious cba syndrome wrt feeding solids?
kk are you going to phone and ask? That sounds like a massively long day!
tsc check you out with your 'connections'!

Chulita · 21/01/2011 09:21

cake L has the same problem with loo roll...very handy.
mlic could you stay overnight somewhere if you went to London, make a day of it?
Where's Spirael when we need her? right ladies, rhyming hats on cos we've got less than 50 posts left which can be a day's worth with you gabby lot Grin

Couldn't settle S or L til gone 2am last night. S has two big red lumps from his jabs poor little sausage so it's not his fault but I did turn his monitor off in the end and hope for the best. Don't know why L was up, just sympathy whinging I think

Chulita · 21/01/2011 09:35

Last post I promise how odd is that . I always thought I was adopted but I'm the spitting image of my mum and my middle brother, and I have my dad's sense of humour so I blatantly wasn't!

viksam · 21/01/2011 09:49

Chulita posh and itimidating........i feel i need to excersize some respect here, dont want to get shouted at...hehe, it is so funny how other peoplr view us, i have been told im scary and im soft as shite really. I dont think its bad, no, im just not sure if im doing it right for Devon. When people are feeding pureed veg do they mix it with anything to make it a bit more palatable or hould he just have it on its own to get used to the taste. I wouldnt like to eat a tub of sweed or parsnip really.
kk that does sound like a horrendous day, cant u stop over somewhere else?
cake haha re the loo roll!bless him.
stac i guess it is more gagging but im worried that he might choak, i'll try him with rusk again today, he does enjoy making a mess, its so funny it shoots out of his hand like soap in the end.

CakeandRoses · 21/01/2011 10:34

would we meet with babies or without?

do you reckon the ironers would clique up in one corner and the non-ironers would cling together in the other? Wink

tsc stac et al - is it too far for you?

chulita what does it sound like when you go kenyan?

obviously we're not worth the trip wss Hmm Grin

sorry i meant to reply re gagging/choking viksam - the gagging sounds normal but if you go back a few pages we were talking about it recently.

it'd be good to meet the babies anyway

i think there's another ironer or 2 - needle must

CakeandRoses · 21/01/2011 10:44

new thread

ok, i've taken the liberty of starting a new thread in my panic that we'd all be stranded without one.

if you don't like it or wanted to vote on new title, i won't be offended, twas the work of seconds. can always see if thread-title-master spirael can do another one.

Doh... I'm a few hours late. Confused I started coming up with rhymes earlier, then took a nap with M as I've managed to get yet another cold, bah...

Using Cake's thread is fine, but since I wrote the rhymes I may as well share them. Wink Maybe for next time!

July 2010: With much ado, those tiny teeth are popping through.

July 2010: Weaning is well underway, we're building up to three meals per day.

July 2010: Give a big cheer, we've made it through the first half year!

[crawls back to bed]

Chulita · 21/01/2011 12:45

cake I go all guttural and click my tongue Blush DH finds it highly amusing.

spirael you poor thing! That's 2 in very quick succession for you isn't it!? Hope M's sleeping well for you like she always does

mlic I'd have to bring babies too, besides, nothing quite like toddlers to break those uncomfy silences. And I'd speak to you, even if you are freakish in your ironing habits (ie you actually do some)

I reckon needle is a closet ironer, I have a sneaking suspicion that memphis irons too, after all she has bunting on the wall (but then so does cake and she claims not to be an ironer)

Needle · 21/01/2011 13:43

OI! Where's this accusation of ironing come from? I never iron. I suck as a housewife- all I do is cook!

Thank you for all the suggestions for the tea house, I've put them all to DH, who has taken them on board.
Cake none of the decor is really up to me- Hal bounces ideas off me, but it's very much his job and I support it as a wife, rather than as a collegue. I don't think they've chosen colours yey to be honest.

Would everyone throw stuff at me if I said we're having a really good day? Gwen has slept through with just a dream feed for the last two nights, so I've actually had some sleep for the first time in weeks. her teeth dont seem to be bothering her too much today, either.

Just watched DH inhale 5 bagels. I'd barely even got them out of the oven. I can't imagine how he even managed to swallow the damn things they were so hot.

DesperateHousewife20 · 21/01/2011 16:16

Grin chulita YES all over my size 8s, livid I was Wink

Ah well, Ive just bought some 'super skinny' size 8s from Primark

I now have a complete outfit to wear to the meal tonight, DP and I are going to sneak back to ours before we pick up Dylan to have some baby-free 'relations'

spirael I like the 3rd one :)

Chulita · 21/01/2011 16:32
Wink
Chulita · 21/01/2011 16:33

I don't think the skinny one aka dh has noticed we've already got a new thread, let's not tell her in the hope that we can leave her here so she can stop reminding me how much I've still got to lose...
[evil grin]
