wss that's awful :( your poor friend.
dylthan hope D gets better and you all avoid it, it's horrible when they're ill.
tsc it may well have been the underwires, I don't touch them when I'm bfing tbh even though the nursing ones look saggy.
memphis have you tried some orange juice? Just a spoonful or two might get him going.
Found half a pea and some red paper in S's nappy this morning. I'd given him a couple of peas yesterday but only one went down by the looks of it. I split them before I give them cos I'm paranoid.

DesperateHousewife20 · 03/01/2011 09:42

Dylan is in the pattern of waking around 1 or 2am, then again at 4 or 5am then 7 or 8am (although I dont get out of bed til 8)

Not looking forward to DP going back to work 2mo, no more lie ins :(

tsc I agree, could have been the underwires. Thats why I got 'nice' ones from figleaves so I can still feel a little bit sexy even tho they have no underwires.

wss bugger that. Poor woman :( she must have had her reasons though. 4 kids under 6 aswell!

Afternoon all!

Can I chuck A forcibly into the bad babies corner? She's been terrible since we got here. I think she was up for about an hour and a half from 2.30 then woke up every 15 mins from then on. Fucking splendid. So far our holiday has revolved around catching up on sleep.

The bright spot is that F is being a delight again.

Oh apart from the other day, when he announced to the entire restaurant that 'mummy's doing a poo poo' when. I went off to the loo (I wasn't!) Dh was pissing himself when I came back.

We're driving up to north devon now, to visit where we used to once live.

F is making up songs in the back such as 'I'm driving daddy's car, beep, beep, beep, ee ii ee ii oo' and practising his sternest 'NO!!'S

mlic sounds as tho w is having a massive sleep regression too. Just so bloody disheartening after the improvement. You coukd try vitalite or pure on toast.

tsc I've let A smell food like banana before and she makes zero attempt to eat it, she's also never tried to grab my food. Makes me wonder if she'll be that interested when I do start to wean her next month!

Feeling a bit car sick now so will post this.

< waves to everyone else >

DesperateHousewife20 · 03/01/2011 14:45

DP is in a strop with me cos I spelt something right and just proved it to him...men are ridiculous sometimes.

memphis83 · 03/01/2011 14:50

cakes im still laughing cakes is doing a poo poo!
i feel like im leaving L behind we started weaning 8 weeks ago and i only tried him on bread yesterday, now toast with topping, why have i not thought of giving him anything like this??? dh seems to think he will be on slop until a year and freaks when he sees a bit of bread or rice cake on his tray!!
found out the other day a friend of dh's baby died in the womb, she had to give birth the poor girl, its really effected me ive been screaming and shouting and walking in my sleep, it makes me realise how lucky i was to get a healthy baby with all my health problems!
bought a moutain bike and got L a cycle helmet its so small, now need to decide on a cycle seat or trailer for him, anyone used either before?

WinterChillita · 03/01/2011 15:10

memphis we use a weeride for DD, she started in it around 8 months. We're going to get one for S too, they last til they're about 4 so it'll do us a while. I love having them in front cos you can witter away to each other and see what they're doing. here and yes, they can see over/round that headrest thing :) How sad for your DH's friend :( It does remind me how lucky I am for sure!
cakes she'll probably settle down again once you're all back into some semblance of routine. Doesn't make for a fun holiday though.

Dylthan · 03/01/2011 15:36

wss that's horrible it's bad enough been in the house with dh when we've had a minor disagreement. I can't imagine how horrible it would be for her to be stuck with someone like that Sad

Memphis oh no Sad what a horrible thing to happen I'm hugging a sleeping b extra tight after reading that. It does make us all see how lucky we are.

dh men are funny creatures arent they. Has he gotten over his strop Yet?

What's with all the non sleeping babies? I don't want to jinx it but I think we may be coming out the other side of the sleep regression b has her last feed at 10pm then wakes at 3am and is up for the day between 6 and 7am so I am counting that as her only being up once Grin

D has stopped vomiting but he's been up since 2am in pain Sad he has been dribbling terribly because it hurts his throat too much to swallow Sad I really hope he's better tomorrow this 4 days has been the first time that dh has had time off in over a month so it would be nice to have one sick free day with him.

Have tried b with some baby rice for a couple of days she dosen't eat much of it so when we went to granny's for new years day I didn't take any but at the time we normally give it to her she screamed and screamed.' so we gave her some mashed banana she only took two spoons of it and then she was happy.
I would like to try giving her finger foods and try a little blw but I've been told I can't do that until she's 6 months. She's 22 weeks now is they're anything I can give her?

DesperateHousewife20 · 03/01/2011 17:27

Thank you mlic that thread is really helpful and kind of confirms what I was thinking.

With d we held of religiously until the 6 month mark but with b it feels like a constant battle shes just desperate to get food in her mouth. I've not been able to eat a meal without her shouting at me for weeks. If I was able to put somthing in front of her while I ate even if she dosent eat it I think it would make things easier for everyone.

memphis83 · 03/01/2011 21:45

L has only been passing nuggets for days, really tiny and making his botton sore, im feeding him so much fruit, lactulose, mango and even tried the orange juice this morning and he is in so much pain pushing so hard he is being sick and his eyes go red and stream, should i go docs? my friends girl was like this and she had to put a tablet in her bottom cant bear the thought of doing that!! poor boy!
ive put my 1st thing for sale on ebay and my dream genii is going on tomorrow i only used it twice as i hated it and second hand without pillowcase one has just sold for £28!! mine has a pillowcase too!! should i bother with clothes or is it not worth it?

Dylthan · 03/01/2011 22:28

Poor L Memphis D was given suppositories when he was a couple of months old they slide up really easily and he didn't even bat an eyelid. With in about a minute he would have a really explosive poo and feel better. I would take him to the doc if I was you.
Inserting a suppository has got to be better than seeing him suffer and if it's not at least you've given it a try.

Really hope he gets better soon.

Trudyla · 04/01/2011 07:04

Hi all,

just wanted to quickly check in. We're off on our holiday soon, back in February. I hope all goes well. Hmm

Memphis I would always go to the doctor if in doubt. I don't like giving suppositories but they really do not bother babies. They are much more common over here than liquid medicine and pills as they believe it's less harmful to the baby's system. Hope L feels better soon.

Well I'm off then. See you in February. I hope all the babies are well behaved!

Have a lovely time trudyla!

memphis clothes go so cheap now, and even to buy them new in say asda they are next to nothing.
If the clothes are in really good condition and from places like Next, Debenhams etc then you could make some money on them.

Dylan woke at half 3 last night and I thought great! Hes finally sleeping longer, he was awful after that, woke at half 5, 6ish, 7ish, 8ish. Bleugh!
He would be awful on the night when I cant have a lie in, sounds silly but I really miss DP when he's not here :(

memphis83 · 04/01/2011 09:13

dh not bothering with L's clothes will sell them at a carboot or something, but am thinking of all my maternity clothes.
well L has been toilet today a bit better than before, so im hoping now he has passed something bigger than a stone he will clear out today!! even the magic bumbo hasnt worked! having a day in today, just dressed L in a comfy romper suit and i will walk to get some milk and thats it, lazy day alone in the house, im looking forward to it! dh has been off for weeks, last 2 weeks have been workable weather for him 1st day back and its snowing!! Im going to sort fridge, freezer and food cupboard, im going to eat them all dry rather than keep buying stuff we dont need, i plan on having a lean month just buying fresh essentials!! Grin

DesperateHousewife20 · 04/01/2011 09:19

Ahh ok then, mine are going to my sister who is pregnant and due at the end of June.

I know its a long way off yet but has anyone thought what they are doing for your LOs first birthday?

Im thinking of having a family gathering round my mums house and then just seeing friends as close to the day as they can.
