dh they girls beliefs and morals are good but the grabbing way to pull a girl is practically rape, when i was about 14 i had a gypsy lad try and kiss me and i refused so i got pinned by my throat til i went dizzy! luckily my sister turned up out of no where and screamed blue murder at him! the dads are so protective of their daughters im shocked its allowed to go on i know if i had a girl and a lad treated her like that i would literally kill him!!!
the most shocking confession about that outfit is when i was a little girl i actually wanted a dress that was short at the front so you could see my gater just like her!! i also wanted a snake tattoo going up my arm i was a classy kid Grin

A quick post as I have a meeting imminently...

Just to break the trend, last night was fine here! M was set down in her cot dozy a 7:30pm, there wasn't a squeak all night, even at 7am when DH/my alarms went off! DH went in to check her and she was just laying happily in her cot, awake but quiet.

I'm quite grateful for it really, as I'm back in the office again today for yet another KIT day while DH gets to be a SAHD for a day. It's less than three months now until I'm back full time! Shock Where has the time gone?

Jumping back to the question re: curry... I just make my own and M has the same as what DH and I eat, since she seems to much prefer it to the bland, pureed stuff I was offering before! I'm careful not to add salt or make it too spicy though.

For washing machines, we have a washer dryer. I only tumble dry sheets, towels and underwear though, everything else gets hung up. I have a conservatory (used as a dining room) attached to my kitchen which is where I hang things to dry.

If anyone has a moment look here
Poor riven in dire straits, there's a fb group and tweets with #respite4riven

My boy just chucked up banana rice [nice] and has decided to only sleep in my arms [lucky me]

That sounds lovely MLIC
I decided to have a little nap with ds, and dh came home, woke me up and left!
Nevermind just feeding the boy then I'd better get the washing sorted and start tea.

Stac2011 · 19/01/2011 17:20

thanks ladies, tsc I agree with what you've said the teacher requested I speak to him. I told him we wouldnt be able to come and get him, that he would have a good time and would be home in 2 days. The teacher said he only seemed upset at bedtime so she may call back tonight, maybe not for me to talk to him but just so she can update me. They are very surprised its J who is like this as he is generally a confident boy.

glag you both enjoyed your groups mlic and memphis

bet your loving the washing machine tsc hows frankie?

Dylan wolfed down loads of porridge tonight so fingers crossed for another good night.

My friend's tiny baby is in hosp :( he wouldnt feed and was shaking cos his blood sugar levels were so low. He's doing better now though.

Going to the registry office 2mo to sort out paperwork to prove who we are. We get to pay £70 for the priveledge too Hmm

Needle · 19/01/2011 18:55

Seems like everyone is having a good day. :-)

I might have met the only other mother in London under 30! That's how it feels anyway. She's 19 weeks pregnant and the same age as me, and we had tea this afternoon and chatted for ages. I'm so chuffed to have met someone I might actually get on with at last!

Gwen's had a lovely day today, but i'm having such a nightmare getting her to bed at the moment. She wakes up at about 8:30 everynight and just won't go back to sleep. She was in our bed from midnight last night, and every time I tried to get her back in her cot she woke up and started wailing.

Dh- I agree with you about the gypsy morals thing, but its so weird the way the girls dress and dance and stuff when you consider how important reputation is to them.

Memphis- really glad your group went well xx

Tsc- sooo jealous of your washing machine.

Those of you still BF, do you feed to sleep at bedtime? X.

Chulita · 19/01/2011 19:09

needle we feed to sleep everytime unless we're out and about.
Sooo tired, was going to start shredding again today but I think I'll put it off til tomorrow. Once I start I know I have to keep going.
I've emailed DC, what a sad situation for riven.
mlic you still shredding? and you do realise that since you were among the '5' I have to make you something? Grin lucky you!
I'm off to have some maple/pecan/pear crumble. Shouldn't really, I've put on the 5lbs I lost last week with the flu :( Hard work this losing weight lark...

Oh bums, Dylan was asleep now he's wide awke, dh has a ton of woork to do, the washing up hasn't been done, we're both knackered. Tried putting him down awake and he just cried, can't have him waking dd up..

We are bfing and feeding to sleep, the only thing that seems to get him sleeping for longer in the day is if I lie next to him and feed him lying down, which is what I do once I've gone to bed - so glad we brought a new mattress for the cot, the cat is really appreciating it. In a real dilemma wrt moving him out of our room, part of me thinks he might sleep better away from me, but if he doesn't and he ends up waking dd then it'll be a nightmare.

You're sure start centre sounds good MILC ours waS about to open, but hasn't due to staff shortages Sad

Dylthan · 19/01/2011 20:56

Is no one going to congratulate me on my win Sad Wink

needle yes I'm still feeding bethan to sleep.

Have finally gotten round to putting some pics of bethan up on the fb page Smile

wonderstuff · 19/01/2011 20:57

Well done Dylthan very Envy
What yo going to spend it on?

WhatSheSaid · 19/01/2011 20:58

Congrats on your win Dylthan Grin

I've never won anything apart from a Thompson Twins poster off local racion when I was 13.

And if any of you young things ask who the Thompson Twins are, I will deck you.

WhatSheSaid · 19/01/2011 20:59

RADIO RADIO, wtf is a "racion"

Dylthan · 19/01/2011 21:02

Thank you Grin

I was thinking of maybe putting the voucher towards buying a kindle. It's been so long since I've bought anything for myself though I would feel so guilty. Really feel like I should buy dh and the kids something with it but dh says I won it so should spend it on myself Blush

wonderstuff · 19/01/2011 21:17

Grin WSS

You must spend it on you Dylthan

Dylthan spend it on yourself! I'm crap at buying stuff for myself now. When I got shopping vouchers for my birthday last year I kept looking at all the kids clothes. I had to be forced to buy some clothes for me with it.

Mlic the Thompson Twins were a mid-80s pop group, confusingly there were three of them. Or were you just being sarky? [wink}

Woodlands · 19/01/2011 21:39

that's brilliant dylthan!

stac poor kid, I remember getting homesick and it was horrid. hopefully he's ok during the daytimes, and friday's not far away now.

we have lots of sure start centres around including one across the road that has an excellent nursery we are on the waiting list for. i went to the baby group there yesterday and singalong this morning which was great, and the sessions are only £1.50 each. they have stay and play on monday, tuesday and wednesday afternoons which will be fantastic when j is a bit older - if the government doesn't cut all their funding by then.

j is still enjoying his food, and is drinking water out of a cup. wonder whether it's worth trying him on milk out of a cup again? we seem to have suddenly got into a fairly strict routine, dunno how that happened. yes i do bf to sleep, I'm afraid!

mlic you didn't miss much, believe me

CakeandRoses · 19/01/2011 22:23

justa quickie. have been catching up surreptitiously on riven's plight with dh after his night away.

had a complete mare again earlier. F fell face-first, booster chair, kitchen chair and all onto our stone kitchen floor missing Aurelia by literally a cm. Shock Unbelievably neither were really hurt but it was a heart-stopping few minutes as they were both screaming in shock. I didn't know who to pick up first. Just awful.

has this ever happened to any of you with a booster seat? i'm assuming he was leaning forwards from the seat to reach Aurelia (i don't know as i had my back turned getting something out of fridge and could hear her laughing at him just before it happened)

totally bloody knackered so gonna attempt an early night.

mlic what's a heat?

good night tsc's washer/dryer, oh beloved machine. x
