Arf at memphis's slanket and mlic's 'ner ner' Grin

kkfairybrains · 12/01/2011 11:09

like mlic said dh the tommee tippee are meant to be most like a breast. and i think the aptimal follow on milk is supposed to be the closest thing to breast milk. i use sma but everybody uses different for different reasons. my only real 'reason' being that sma is irish owned so try and keep the irish in jobs!
i have a room that all the clutter seems to gather in and i'm sick of clearing it as dp just keeps dumping everything there!

memphis83 · 12/01/2011 11:35

when are we supposed to go onto follow on milk? and the nighttime milk isnt going to be like milk laced with nytol???
cakes shh i love my slanket it only comes out when im alone! dh bought it me in co-ordinating colous for my living room, which meant he payed well over the odds for it! i wonder what he will buy for my birthday this year?

wonderstuff · 12/01/2011 11:38

Dylan pooed at 4am, 4.30 then 7am - I can only think that the boy is getting so much milk down him leading to constant poos? Driving me nuts - he is now onto the second hour of his morning nap, so he must be tired, I bloody am.

I am soo glad we brought a new mattress for his cot - he spends no time in there at all we are co-sleeping 90% of the time.

wonderstuff · 12/01/2011 11:41

I may be wrong, but I don't think you need to go onto follow on milk, I thought it existed to get round the rules forbidding the advertising of formula for babies under 6 months old..

I'm using formula to make up baby's breakfast, but since it is only a couple of spoons full I can probably do cows milk? [ponders]

Stac2011 · 12/01/2011 11:58

mlic you do amazing i don't know how you manage, especially with 2 young uns. As i said before R is a late bedder so 8am is a realistic wake up time. If R was taking less bottles like W i would keep feeding too.

I have a messy corner memphis and cakes everytime i clear it i add to it lol

dh r is on aptimal hungry baby milk. The hv said she should stay on first milk from birth to a year old then straight to cows milk but she was starving so i put her on stage 2 and will keep giving her that till she's 1. Soz that was long winded lol

wonder is d on solids? R's poo increased since then

memphis poor L he must be so uncomfortable. As he's not taking as many bottles whats he drinking?

kk hows ellie now?

Woodlands · 12/01/2011 14:43

wonderstuff · 12/01/2011 14:49

Why, why will he sleep in my arms and not in the cot (is upstairs complaining) He used to sleep in the cot, I used to be able to put him down awake and everything - I feel I've broken him Sad

MelissaM · 12/01/2011 14:54

memphis83 · 12/01/2011 15:48

L has started to clear himself out again i think we may be a rival for wonder today 4 in the last hour and a half, but he wont stop screaming! I didnt sign up for a baby that cried!! ive got so much to do got a bloke coming any minute to pick up something i sold off ebay, a new pushbike in the kitchen and the huuuuuge box it came in and cleaning to do but I cant put him down hes so bloody tired but wont give in!!!!

Stac2011 · 12/01/2011 16:19

melissa hope lo is better soon

Memphis i tried R with diluted baby juice in the sippy cup and it seems to help. Glad he's clearing himself out

Thats great news about the teething necklace mlic, and your apps.

Cakes great pic

Kk and wonder R wont sleep in her cot during the day either, hasnt done since she was in her moses basket x

Woodlands · 12/01/2011 16:20

have you got a sling memphis? in that situation I'd stick him in the sling and get on with things. not ideal i know. i fed j to sleep for his nap at about 1.30 and at 2pm I put him down so I could go to the loo - but he woke up and it took me till 3pm to settle him again (he was still tired). he's still asleep now, will need to wake him soon or else he won't sleep tonight! he is at least in bed now rather than my arms. not that i'm getting on with the housework, am mumsnetting and drinking tea!

wonderstuff · 12/01/2011 16:25

Woodlands my afternoons seem to go like that often..

Woodlands · 12/01/2011 16:34

yup, it just feels like a bit of a wasted afternoon, doesn't it!

I would like to stop feeding J in the night, I bet he could manage to sleep longer than 3-4 hours between feeds. However I am a bit too lazy to try it when sticking a boob in his mouth shuts him up. I think I'll leave it a few weeks till he's hopefully eating more solids. I just wish the timings could get easier so there was only one 'night' feed. Last night he fed at 11pm, 1.30am, 4.30am and then up for the day at 8am. I was really hoping he'd go from 11 through till 3.30 or so and then sleep till morning.
