ARGH! S has been awake since 8.30 and won't stop crying. He was quiet for 10 mins and then started up again, I just fed him til he was snoring, put him down and 3 mins later he's crying again...he's not slept for over 4 hours, DD's in bed so if I can get him to shut up I'll have the house to myself for a bit but he just won't stop crying! You know when you get to that stage where you start getting really, really angry at everything with this constant crying going on - well, I'm there...

wonderstuff · 05/01/2011 13:03

Oh chilita so frustrating isn't it - Dylan has just gone down for first time today - no idea why I am sitting here tbh, shedloads to do..

DesperateHousewife20 · 05/01/2011 13:10

Well co sleeping may not end for me this month or even year but it will end eventually, as long as we are all happy.

memphis83 · 05/01/2011 14:31

anyone good at legalitys? may post a seperate thread, when L was 9 weeks my icandy carry cot internal spring broke, i had to pay for it to be fixed eventhough i have a 2 year warrenty. the handle also split, so they ordered a new handle 4 months later i havent got it fixed they keep fobbing me off! i even said to them as he wasnt ready for the next stage of pushchair i had to buy another stroller to tide me over, spoke to friend who works at solicitors today and she said i am intitled to a new pushchair or a refund if i want one, i threatened them with trading standards and they just said ooh its on order, i got it from an independant retailer as i hate chainstore i went into john lewis and they said if a fault occured at 9 weeks they would have replaced it straight away before i went all fucked in the head i would have been down there ranting and pushing a new pushchair out the door (which i am apparently allowed to do) but i feel so all over the place i cant face it!! it cost over £700 ffs

wonderstuff · 05/01/2011 15:14

You are entitled to money back - the shop you brought from is responsible for this. Did you pay by credit card? If so I think you can claim money back from credit card co. info here

memphis83 · 05/01/2011 15:50

thanks wonder paid cash, i rang them back and i said i give them til saturday, then on saturday i was coming into store at lunch and they either fixed it or i was taking another pushchair they said but the part comes from germany i said i didnt care i was giving them more time than i needed to, they called me back within 10 mins, now the part is all of a sudden stock and being sent by 24 hour courier and will be there friday i said oh good i will be there saturday morning, then she panicked again and said oh i will call to make sure it is actually in!!

DesperateHousewife20 · 05/01/2011 16:39

Omg memphis they actually said 'ooh its an order'? How rude! Id really get trading standards on them now!

memphis83 · 05/01/2011 17:07

dh she said it as if to say well i cant do anything about it, the only reason i want it fixing is i love my pushchair, they haven even got a model to show people at the mo as there is a backlog of orders on the pushchair, im so annoyed, if i have another one i wont be getting a pushchair from there!
just gave L some toast with vegi pate on it and he loved it didnt really eat bread just sucked it to death

MILC hope things get better for you soon. Our cat when through a stage of weeing and pooing in the house - I think she was expressing displeasure - she targeted dds bed - dd and the cat hate each other, I feel sorry for the cat.

Gave ds some strips of banana and carrot today - he didn't actually eat anything, but was happy to have something tasty to lick. His hand to mouth co-ordination isn't great yet.

It will hopefully get easier and easier from here on! My daughter is just 3 and I think that 2 to 2.6 was my absolute favorite age - she was just perfect - sleeping through almost every night, generally very cute - hadn't started having temper tantrums or asking endless pointless questions yet... She is still lovely, just quite annoying quite often. At least she can tell me whats wrong and I don't have to carry her round (often) Smile

kkfairybrains · 05/01/2011 23:24

aw mlic here's hoping for a good night for you.
just had a nightmare evening with ellie. got her to sleep at 8:30 and she slept for 10 mins and awake screaming then. she's got the flu or something as she's very glassy eyed and hoarse and cough starting now too. she's literally just gone asleep now. have put pillows under her so hope she's ok to breathe now. i really applaud all you ladies that are having a hard time of it all the time and don't know how you keep going. since before christmas i haven't had a proper night sleep and then dealing with the water and dp being sick and travelling everywhere over christmas i'm just worn out. and now i'm gonna stop whining cos its nothing compared to others on the thread!
having a major sort through of the house and of my life at the minute. i'm seriously thinking about going back to college in september. want to do social work. its 4 years full time course so it's a big thing to take on so just weighing up the pros and cons at the minute. i'm just bored with things right now and it's something i would have liked to have done if i hadn't gone for hairdressing.

Stac2011 · 05/01/2011 23:43

Rileigh has now decided bedtime is a battle of wills. She screamed like she was being murdered for nothing. Seems to be since she was unwell.

tsc great news bout frankie with the food hope it settles him

mlic our dog will piss/crap in the house if he feels ignored, usually as you say just after he's been out. He also steals things like dummies, toys and shoes. Its hard having pets and lo's isnt it. Hope w has settled for you

memphis r is doing that too i love it. How did dh take the news that centreparcs was booked?

Did you find out what was wrong with s chulita?

Welcome back wonder the consultant at the hospital also told me the WHO advice was for developing countries.

dh meant to say yesterday your honeymoon sounds lovely, great news bout the dummy

Can i ask how much your lo's eat at a time? R takes breakfast usually 8 to 10 spoonfuls then lunch bout 6 spoonfuls and dinner can be hit and miss. I have given toast and fruit which she was ok with. Does this seem enough? Thanks

Stac2011 · 05/01/2011 23:48
